Top tips for finding Victoria hotel deals

  • If you’re looking for a cheap hotel in Victoria, you should consider visiting during the low season. You'll find cheaper accommodations in Victoria in December and January.
  • Hotel room prices vary depending on many factors but you’ll most likely find the best hotel deals in Victoria if you stay on a Saturday. The opposite is true for, Friday, which is usually the most expensive day.
  • Book at least 5 days before your stay begins to get the best price for your Victoria accommodation.
  • Downtown Victoria is the entertainment and commercial center of the city. To stay downtown, book a room at the Capital City Center Hotel. It's a short walk from McPherson Theatre and the Victoria Police Historical Society Museum.
  • The historic Strathcona Hotel is another good hotel in Downtown Victoria, near the Mercurio Gallery, Miniature World, and the Royal British Columbia Museum.
  • To stay near Victoria Harbour, consider the Victoria Regent Waterfront Hotel & Suites, or the Hotel Grand Pacific, which is just a short walk from the Parliament Building. Both properties are located in the Inner Harbour District and have on-site restaurants.
  • If you're attending an event at the Victoria Conference Center, the Fairmont Empress Hotel and the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour hotel are both a short walk from the conference center. Both hotels come with indoor pools and hot tubs.
  • For the ultimate luxury vacation, consider booking a room at one of Victoria's 5-star hotels. The Oak Bay Beach Hotel has a full-service spa, outdoor mineral baths, and is less than a mile from Victoria Golf Club.
  • The historic Abigail's Hotel is another luxurious, upscale option. This adults-only property features beautiful gardens and promises a gourmet breakfast every morning.
  • The Victoria International Airport is about 15 miles from the city center and several hotels in Victoria offer airport shuttle services. If you have an early morning flight and want convenient access to the airport, consider Hotel Rialto, the Ramada by Wyndham, or Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA.

Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA8/10 ratingout of 23 reviewsJames Bay · R211 avg price/ night
Beautiful view, location is great! 20 min walk to downtown- but also a water taxi stop directly out back ($8 one way) and the hotel offers a free shuttle downtown. When you call from downtown, be prepared for the woman answering to be incredibly rude and then just hang up once you give your location. Also a 3 min walk from the Fisherman’s Wharf. - lots to see, great to check out with kids. Expensive food ($16 nachos, $20 single piece of fish and chips). There is no housekeeping offered. I stayed 4 days and my garbage can was overflowing- I even brought it down to the public bathroom and emptied it myself as that was the only garbage can around. There was one regular and one decaf coffee in room, with a door knocker indicating coffee would be refilled if left on. After 2 days and several requests, I finally received more. Pool is wonderful. It’s both indoors and outdoor, hot tub and sauna are also nice. Restaurant is insanely overpriced. Drip coffee is $5, two poached eggs with toast was $17. The Marina Manager is rude - I suspect it’s also her answering the shuttle calls. Front desk staff were very helpful. Shuttle driver is excellent! The hotel does not offer airport shuttle (and currently the service is on hold in Victoria, so taxi is the only option. It was $70 from the hotel).

Great location, friendly staff. Interesting old house, turned B&B. Breakfast was served, in a sunny breakfast room, between 8:30 and 9:30, small portions of real food. Over all a very good experience, I would stay there again.
