9,5 Excellent (1 144 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Chems Bleu is a calm and sunny house that offers comfortable accommodation and amazing views of the beach and the port. It features a flowery patio with an Andalusia fountain and the larges terraces where you can relax in the sun. Guestrooms are individually decorated and named after the dominating colour of their décor. They are comfortable and bright and equipped with modern en suite facilities. With its ocean front view, a top-notch maid service and dedication to exceptional service, the Riad Chems Bleu is a jewel of Essaouira.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in Medina by Suprabus, beach and ramparts. Room was good size, with large personal balcony facing the beach. The Riad was nicely decorated and quiet. The breakfasts were varied and plentiful. The service from the manager and all staff was very attentive and was exceptional from the manger’s chief assistant, Fatima, who was very attentive to our needs. She found us a wonderful driver to take as from Casablanca to Essaouira, offered to provide us with an early breakfast on the day of our departure, cumin tea for diarrhea, location in the souk for certain food items and the expected prices....I could go on. This service made such a difference to our enjoyment of the city.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The best riad we stayed so far and the price is really good, too. The room was really very clean with a nice design and vibe. It has everything you need, even had a small radiator in case you come in colder months. The bed was very comfortable, sheets white and clean. It was the best breakfast we had in Morocco. Our hosts were very nice and really helpful. Gave us great tips such as where to eat and buy carpets, blankets etc. Really recommend to stay here!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It was a very comfortable and relaxing environment once inside the apartment. The rooms were a good size with great views towards the coast especially from the lounge and the adjoining balcony. There was a full kitchen but we mainly ate takeaways. Breakfasts were taken at the Riad and were enjoyable and filling. The hostess spoke excellent English and was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The apartment was in a separate building to the Riad at the end of a dirty laneway. The apartment was on level 3 and accessible by narrow winding stairs. We had to wait an hour before we could check into the apartment even though we arrived within the time window we had confirmed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Unfortunately we spent here only one night, everything exceeded our expectations. Perfect location, helpful and kind staff, great sea view and a very tasty breakfast
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Chems Bleu was the second riad we stayed in while in Morocco and it was by far better than the first one. Easy to find, central and so peaceful and quiet. The decor is nice with earthy tones. The staff were friendly and gave us some recommendations on where to eat and drink and what to see. Having breakfast up at the roof terrace was nice, just what you need on a holiday. We would definitely recommend!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful riad! Very nice, friendly personnel. 2-person rooms are very clean (not super spacious). Good breakfast, with nice views! Location is good - closely the beach and souqs. Highly recommended!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great place! Ideal location in the medina a few min walk from main street and a few min from bus dropoff. We had a great view and the terrace and breakfast are excellent. Very friendly staff :)
Cons: The only thing would be to recommend not leaving windows open all night as we had many mosquitoes that kept us from sleeping well
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious. Location perfect. The staff are gentle and nice. We stayed in the apartment for 6 people with 2 large terraces. Good hard mattresses in the beds.
Cons: It smelled strongly of moisture / rot on one of the toilets. Otherwise everything was good in the apartment.

Pros: What a beautiful place to stay when discovering Essaouira- nicely decorated and comfortable Riad. Breakfast at the rooftop is astonishing- Both the view and the food !! Right in the Médina - quiet oasis. Very nice people & owners assisting us with everything- thank you so much. From the Riad it is easy access to the beaches - walk or petit taxi...surfing, kitesurfing and many other beach activities. Nice cafe’s and restaurants at the beach. And around the harbor great marine food- fresh and delicious. Very nice medina. Thank you for the great time in Essouira!
Cons: Could have stayed much longer
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in the centre of the walled Medina. The rooms were tastefully designed and cleaned daily and the decor was fantastic. The staff were very helpful, the owner took the time to introduce himself and all were friendly. The breakfast, on a great rooftop terrace overlooking the city, was the best we had in Morocco.
Cons: Our room was quite small and had no windows- as a result it got quite hot quite quickly and seemed a bit humid- in fairness we booked the cheapest room!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The most amazingly comfortable bed. The delicious breakfast served on the roof terrace with views of the medina and beach, simply the nicest way to start your day
Cons: There was nothing to dislike
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and stylish place with a very pretty rooftop terrace where you can have breakfast with a view (which is also very good). Very nice and helpful staff and owner.
7,5 Good
Pros: Epic breakfasts. Arguably the best in Essaouira. And great roof top views.
Cons: We were there a week and really it was too small. Great for a few days, but not enough room if you’re there any longer.

Cons: Make sure you book it with the breakfast :)

Pros: Very welcoming and charming hosts! Very clean, very good location and overall a perfect stay. Breakfast was amazing with self made yogurt and cake. We even received an upgrade, and because we forgot ours their toothpaste.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The couple were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy. Only four rooms fronting onto a small garden area. Very friendly and helpful host, Hafid and his wife Hakima. Our room was adequate size with a comfortable bed. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. No complaints. Breakfast was continental style but very good, with fresh baked bread served, along with a nice fruit salad.
Cons: The view from the upper rooms, 2nd floor, is not so great, as you look over some unsightly areas. We were fortunate to change rooms to the 1st floor with adjoining outside seating area, which overlooked the garden and was very nice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at this lovely Riad for six nights, which was a very enjoyable experience. The double room with terrace on the first floor (Audrey Hepburn) is recommended. Hakima and Hafid were very kind hosts.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is very special. The sweetest and most helpful hosts, and their effort and love for the dar is visible in every detail. Superb breakfast with, among other, the tastiest homemade yoghurt and the freshest fruits. Very comfortable, super clean room with a beautiful bathroom. Common areas made to feel relaxed and at home. I recommend Dar Dayana 100% and would definitely come back!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place with lovely hosts
10,0 Excellent
Pros: An amazing stay in Essaouira. In the middle of the medina with the best hosts we could have asked for. The room was lovely decorated and clean. With a delicious breakfast every morning. Hakima and Hafide were very kind, helped us with all our questions and gave some excellent recommendations. Would definitely stay here again!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were so lovely and welcoming and had very good tips for restaurants, we took their suggestion of watching the sunset from the city walls and it was beautiful. The Amethyst room was small but we expected this from the photos and it was very comfortable and cosy with everything that you could need. The courtyard was a lovely setting for breakfast with lots of nice plants and the breakfast itself was fantastic - delicious homemade jams and yoghurt, fresh fruit, crusty bread, homemade crepes and eggs to order. The best breakfast we had in Morocco by far! The roof terrace was also a nice place to relax. The location was easy to find and very central in the old Medina.
Cons: Nothing!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location - in the heart of medina, close to everywhere, the courtyard - an oasis full of tropical greenery, our room - the Audrey Hepburn room on 1st floor with its stylish bathroom and a seating corner at the terrace, and above all Hakima and Hafid - our hosts who were so friendly and attentive. They expressed certain concern about negative comments on booking.com by some guests who expect this riad to be a luxury hotel. It is not. It is a small charming guest house with the intimacy of a family home. We liked it very much.
Cons: If you need absolute silence to sleep well the seagulls may wake you up a few times every night. This is not a fault of this propriety, simply a matter of fact in this location - and any other close to the sea shore.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Helpful staff, pleasant room, nice breakfast.
Cons: Hard, very hard bed. Be prepared for sea gull noise; many stray cats for those who have allergies/adverse to cat odors.
7,7 Good
Pros: Very clean and perfect location - right in the heart of the medina. Nice sitting area with the Turquoise room.
7,3 Good
Pros: Attentive and helpful staff
7,3 Good
Pros: The personnel was very friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely and clean. It gave us a good impression of life in Essaouira.
7,3 Good
Pros: Absolutely great choice for the beautiful city of Essaouira. Very friendly staff, nice designed rooms and lobby. 5 min walk from the ocean.
6,6 Good
Pros: Fantastic hospitality; nothing was too much trouble. (Unseasonal heavy rain/total power cut. Someone sent to bus station to collect us and staff went out for pizzas/found us a bottle of wine) The riad itself is excellently located in the souk, though some people might find this intimidating. The very comfotable rooms are round a colonnaded courtyard. They are individually decorated and furnished and open onto private balconies. There is also a roof terrace with plunge pool. Great place. We'd go again.
Cons:
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and environment and good choice as we had a toddler.
Cons:
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved this riad. The couple who own it are lovely, our room (amethyste) was lovely and it's in a great location. The owner picked us up from the car park outside the medina gate, took us to the riad, sat us down and with a glass of mint tea and explained a map of essouira - they continued to be as helpful throughout the whole stay!
Cons:
6,6 Good
Pros: Everything was perfect. Situation, staff, room. Will recomend this Riad, no doubt!!!
Cons:
6,0 Good
Pros: The friendly staff, the taste in the design of the rooms, the quiet of the ryad.
Cons: I have found no disadvantages in this ryad. Perhaps the proximity to the loudspeakers of the mosque minaret closest, calling to prayer at about 5 am. Althought, for a many people, this could represent another charm of the ryad.

Pros: Lovely breakfast on the terrace with a 360° view over the surrounding houses - by clear sight even to the sea... everything fresh and homemade: juice, fruit salad, bread and cake. We felt very welcome from the help- and heartful staff and owner.

Dar Latigeo - Essaouira - Bedroom
7
9,1 Excellent (570 reviews)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a very nice and quiet, even though it's in the Medina. The directions they gave us before coming made it easy to find the hotel. Everything was very clean, both the rooms and the bathroom which was shared between only 2 rooms - so very comfortable and with almost no queue. Is very tranquil, even though the hotel was full, we've never felt like it was busy or crowded. The room was very cozy, with beds and some shelves, what surprised us is that the lady cleaned it everyday, too! The staff was very nice and helpful. So if you're looking for a quiet hotel to relax and feel like you're at your own home while still being close to the ocean and in the city center - that's the one for you (:
7,5 Good
Pros: The stuff was great! They helped us a lot (printed out our tickets, gave some hot water when we asked).
Cons: Even though the room seemed to be nice, both me and my friend slept not very good (either because of the bed or because of the noise from the outside).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and place was cozy and clean. I loved the room!
Cons: The check-in time could be until later. It’s is until 8pm and we almost missed it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing riad, everything during our stay made us feel like home, even if it was for one night. We were sad we couldn't stay longer. Owner Abas is very helpful, always available on whatsapp, and there to answer all of your needs and questions, he even helped us with our bus tickets information by calling CTM, absolutely nothing bad to say about anything. If there is somebody who says something bad about this riad, then for them 5* hotel is the only option. Breakfast is fantastic. Wifi stable and fast. Mint tea for welcome.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.
7,1 Good
Pros: Ousama helped us with everything we needed!
Cons: The room was very humid because of the open bathroom.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location was nice.
Cons: The staf was not helpful - we had special requests regarding our religious and they didn't help us with it. We had no window in the room, it was hat to breath the air was compressed and moldy. we asked few times to get another room and they denyed our request, although they had free rooms. The breakfast was very lame and not worth the money. They took the taxes fees in the check in and ask again in the check out and we needed to prove them we already paid. Highly recommended NOT to stay there.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful time at Dar Latigeo! The location is perfect, as it is located in a side alley next to the main street. Everything is in walking distance. The place itself had a very nice atmosphere and when we arrived we got a nice mint tea and the room was ready even tough the check in time was a few hours later. The room looked also very nice, clean and was well decorated. You share the bathroom with the other room on the same floor, which was not a problem for us because everything was really clean. Abbess, our host, is very kind and helped us a lot during our stay. We wanted to go horse riding and he introduced us to an amazing stable in which the horses were perfectly taken care of. Even after we left, he cared for our well-being and contacted us if we arrived safely back to Marrakech. All the contact with him was very easy as he speaks English very well and also respond very quickly to our messages. Also, if you stay at Dar Latigeo - make sure to order the breakfast! It was one of the best breakfast we had during our time in Morocco. You had a lot of things to choose from, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, yoghurt with fruit and muesli, bread, etc. We read in the hotel information that it was not allowed to store luggage at the hotel, but on the day we left we were allowed to leave our luggage at Dar Latigeo because it took some time before our bus would leave to Marrakech. This way, we could explore the city again in the meantime without our suitcases. Just to conclude, we are thinking back with only positive thoughts about our stay in Essaouira and we hope to be able to go back!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff and tasty breakfast. Nice and clean rooms.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was the best place of our morocco trip! A nice and comfortable room. The bathroom is shared with only one other room and was always clean. Very friendly hosts, no problem to store our luggage the last day and a really good breakfast. The place was easy to find, Dar Latigeo's description was very useful.
Cons: Nothing. We really had nothing to complain!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This spot is perfect! It is bright and inviting and the location can’t be beat. Super close to everything. The breakfast is a little extra but totally worth it. I would stay here again for sure! Loved it!
6,7 Good
Pros: A little gem. Excellent location, right in the heart of the medina but on a quiet cul-de-sac. Perfect base for exploring beautiful Essaouira. Rooms are large and comfortable with lovely oriental touches. The landlady is lovely and helpful. No hesitation booking it again when I go back.
Cons: No problems. It is not a luxurious hotel with all the services, but one comes to Essaouira for the city not for all-in-package sea side resort. My bathroom was outside the room.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: we had an amazing stay in dar latigeo. adeline was extremely friendly and was very helpfull with any questions we had. the rooms are nice and the (shared) bathroom is very clean. beisdes that, essaouira is a lovely city and dar latigeo is right in the middle of it.
7,0 Good
Pros: The french lady whom i can´t remember the name is such a good hostess!! Really cool ambient , even that by the door you can´t have the real idea of the neat ambient you are gonna find inside. Usual in marroquian lodgements.Really worthless!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful bedroom.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, friendly welcome to a fine, small, boutique hotel by new owner Adeline - nothing was too much trouble. Hotel very central, so better than two other hotels I have stayed in in Essaouira before and extremely good value indeed. Copious, varied breakfast - open to suggestions/ requests. Own keys so free to come and go. Could not fault the hotel or any aspect of its running at all and I shall certainly come agazin whenever I come here again, and, as it is a favopurite spot, that may be in a couple of months. Highly recommended. Thanks to Booking.com for finding it for me.
Cons: Everything was absolutely fine. No possible reason to dislike anything, let alone complain.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: very nice, fresh, clean.. feels like home.. very friendly and helpful staff.. excellent location..
Cons:
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The room was gorgeous, quiet, airy, the breakfast delicious and we really were made to feel welcome. They made our stay special.
Cons: They could have given us a key for the outside door so that they didn't have to open it for us each time we returned to the hotel.

Pros: Location, breakfast and staff were good.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Moroccan house with a lovely courtyard. Very welcoming staff.
Cons: Nothing :)
6,7 Good
Pros: The location.
Cons: Okay, I don't normally like to give negative reviews but I don't know how this riad got 9.1/10, especially after our last stay in Marrakech that left the standards very high for the same price per night. First the staff wasn't welcoming at all, the lady at the reception just showed us the room (which wasn't the one from the pictures) and didn't even give us the wifi pass, let alone tell us something about the surroundings. Everywhere in the property there was a bit of a damp unpleasant smell, I don't know if it is because of the ocean but we didn't like it. Now about the room. We didn't get the Djena room from the photos, we got a room on the top floor. The smell inside there was also unpleasant. The bed was quite uncomfortable. The bathroom was OK but there is a big problem with the water flow, as there was almost no pressure in the shower and whenever someone else used the tap the water almost stopped. I don't know if we got all that only because we booked just a single night but still it didn't meet our expectations.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice Riad, beautiful and confortable.
Cons: It was not easy at the begining to find it out.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed orange juice and omelette very much. The staff was very friendly for us. When I lost way to riad, on of them helped to return. The riad itself is authentic.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, great service
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant riad with friendly staff and I had a very comfortable room. The riad has been restored very attractively. Wifi was fine. The terrace is almost worth booking for in its own right. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked this road a lot - the decor, location, hosts, everything about it was just perfect for a short break in Essaouira and highly recommend it.
Cons: We liked everything.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The Riad is excellent located and the room was oriental, redish with good wifi, good water pressure but the brilliance of the Riad is its terrace with a view of the ocean and flying and roaring sea gulfs. It was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good portion and fresh each morning with coffee and orange juice but each day the same. Considering the available dairy products and variety of fruits in Morocco I would have liked having more variety of breakfast.
Cons: I wanted to have tea and breakfast on the terrace which I each time I asked I had an awkward feeling that the staff was not happy with that even though I was ready to take breakfast myself upstairs and to pay for additional tea.
7,9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff in a quiet part of town. Very close to a nice small square with great food.
Cons: Quite a loud Riad with being woken up a few times in the night.

Pros: Beautiful appartment with gorgeous beds, fantastic location, excellent service and lovely breakfast (we stayed in the loft). Beautiful, quiet roof terrace. Staff couldn’t do enough to help. Perfect peaceful spot to enjoy a luxury escape in brilliant Essaura.
Cons: The kitchen had a hob, kettle and sink but no fridge, pans, crockery, knives and forks or any thing else.....wasn’t a problem for us because we ate out but might be irritating for others. Probably not suitable for mobility impaired or children under 5 because of open staircases.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view was incredible! The terrace was breathtaking, and the tub was the size of a swimming pool! The staff was exceptional! The location was perfect-at the center of everything but away from the noise! The breakfast was made to order (and included eggs)! The restaurant downstairs was to die for! I have nothing to say but that I will book again in a heartbeat.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The location is good. It is easy to find as it is located right next to the Medina wall at the entrance near the port. It has a very nice view from the shared terrace. The kitchen staff was nice and provided a nice welcome tea and breakfast on our terrace in the morning. The bellman on the day we departed (who actually doesn't work for the Riad), was delightful and helped bring all our luggage down while my husband retrieved the car outside of the Medina. Unfortunately, I didn't have any money on me to tip him and he was so gracious. When I got to the car, my husband gave me money and I walked back to the Medina to tip the man. He told me it was entirely unnecessary. Real service.
Cons: We selected the Mogador Suite, expensive by Moroccan standards. Not a luxury experience. It was standard at best. The a/c didn't work in the room and it was extremely hot. We were unable to sleep. There is a terrace, but the view is obstructed by pillars. There is a bathtub, but it is too large to fill with hot water due to its size and the small capacity of the water heater. The decor of the property is very disappointing. It is looks tired, dusty and sad. It is not at all inviting. The property is located on top of another Riad and up two steep flights of stairs. When we arrived, the man in the lobby told me that the bellman had left. We arrived about 6:00 p.m. There was no possible way I could have carried the luggage up to the hotel alone. My husband had to go park the car, as there is NO hotel parking, only public parking and the closest parking was full. The elderly man who brought our luggage in his cart carried half my luggage up the stairs and then the other man finally (out of pure shame) took the rest of the luggage up. The worst part of the stay, was the terrible service and sour faces of the front office staff. It was like the three stooges. The suite was boiling hot. They should have turned on the a/c in anticipation of the arrival (like every other property we have stayed at in Morocco ). The woman turned on the a/c, but NO cold air. She kept insisting that there was cold air coming out, but there was not. She pretended not to understand my French/English. When my husband arrived, he spoke to her and she said she would call for a technician. No technician. ever came. When we came back from dinner, there was nobody there. The a/c was not working. No fan. No offer to stay in another room. No note. Nobody there at all. In the morning. More sour faces. They offered a 20% discount. I didn't need a discount. We needed a/c. We needed good service.
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: It has seen better days. It was tired, (cracked mirrors, peeling paint, stained lavatory seat) and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable.
4,6 Okay
Pros: It was easy to walk to from the public car park
Cons: It looked directly over the public car park and was in need of pretty urgent and extensive refurbishment. The entrance is up a grubby stairwell off a public baths and the hotel was well past its prime. WiFi was hopeless. The beds were appallingly uncomfortable and like sleeping on bare boards. It was like a shabby guesthouse rather than a comfortable hotel.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room was really nice and clean. They also have an amazing Restaurant (Table Madada) where you can have am amazing dinner. All the staff was really friendly, I‘d come back.
Cons: The bed is quite hard.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, lovely sun terrace, even least expensive rooms are very tasteful and spacious. Delicious breakfast served as late as 12 so you really can have a lazy morning! Would come again.

Pros: Breakfast was awesome and just lovely to take on the roof terrace. The staff were absolutely fantastic and friendly and accommodating. They gave us lots of tips on where to go for dinner etc. and were generally very helpful and nice.
Cons: Walls were a little thin to the house next door, and there is quite a bit of wind noise (Essaouira is VERY windy). Also having to deal with the 'Medina' smell in the bathroom (leave the plugs in at ALL times!) was a bit of a nuisance at first, but we got used to it. It is a 1000 year old city after all...
6,3 Good
Pros: The breakfast is good. The riad has good location right on the Medina.
Cons: We had 2 rooms, one family suite and one double room. Some of us changed riad after the first night. I guess not all rooms have this problem but in our room we had havey mold smell, the bed covers where moist and generally the room smelled bad. The carpet was old and smelly and the towels were old and looked dirty. When we talked to the manager she rejected all our claims about cleanningness by saying this is Essaouira wheater and there is nothing she can do and that the room is clean. Having said that, she did send two workers to clean the room with soap, brought new towels and spread perfume and candles around but I was not there anymore as two of us switched to a different riad.(we were 6ppl) Also, on a side note, I live by the ocean in a very humid city but I don't have mold in my house and we moved to a riad which is closer to the sea and also, not new but didn't had any problems. We slept in old riads during our whole trip.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location convenient if u want to b in heart of medina.
Cons: Overprced for tired place, needs major cleaning, upgrade. Sitting room nothing like the online photo, uncomfortable. Poor lighting in bedroom. Did not feel welcomed as guest.. Rashida check in person was the only somewhat kind staff. Others rude one male Rashid, argumentative, wanted to make me wrong. Inflexible about check out. Cook staff unhelpful for limited breakfast, heavy on bread. Yogurt not avail. 2nd day.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location for town centre but quiet. Staff super friendly and helpful.
Cons: WiFi not great
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so helpful, Riad is right in the middle of the Medina which is bustling, but inside is quiet and tranquil. Breakfast on roof top was great.
Cons: Nothing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The guy in the reception at night was really nice and friendly. The room was really nice, and was nicely set for us.
Cons: When we arrive the people next to us were offered tea and cookies and we weren't. Most important for us is that we booked a room with a terrace, and we expected a real terrace.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I don't know why the place garnered so good reviews. We stayed here for a night and was relieved it's nothing more. Firstly, the place was not clean, the sheets were damp most of the time, the rooms are dusty and the floors are dirty. Secondly, the ground staff do not really speak very good English and that makes communication tough. Thirdly, their service was not forth coming nor were the staff welcoming. We will definitely not return to this riad.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Lovely place with love for details.
Cons: Shower hand has passed its prime. As in many riads you can here a lot.

Pros: Stunning location with breakfast on charming terrace with great views over harbour area and beach in distance. Exceptional breakfast that was beautifully presented with local fresh food. Could not fault it.
Cons: Genuinely cannot think of any improvements
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the entrance of the medina with views of the ocean, harbour & promenade. The staff were very helpful. Fatima who organised breakfast is very passionate with the guests & has been a part of Villa Maroc for 29 years. We booked the suite & it was very spacious.
Cons: If you are not good at climbing numerous flights of stairs this is not the place for you. We also had to wear ear plugs as a neighbouring terrace bar night club across the way kept us awake with live music & dj.

Pros: We loved EVERYTHING - the Moroccan Decor is stunning,
Cons: Absolutely NOTHING!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, superb food and overall very charming. Each room is unique and there is a lot of attention to detail. Excellent location as well. Fatima has been there for 25 years, she’s outstanding and did a great job of making us feel at home
Cons: Black out curtains on the terrace level would be appreciated. Also if there is a way to better insulate the rooms from the loud morning prayers at 6am, that would great!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location superb, view from rooftop terrace great, used for breakfast and lounging areas
Cons: I am 80. The steep spiral stone stairs were a haul and unavoidable and never less than 30 at any time. So this is a warning to anyone with difficulty. I did manage them.

Pros: It was beautiful It was great location
Cons: It didn't feel homey or comfortable. It was too noisy The room didn't have a phone

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was easy to find on the medina walls. Staff were absolute amazing and super friendly attending to all of your needs with a generous smile. Roof top pool is heated. Family friendly with 2 teenagers. Buffet breakfast was great with the tranquil surrounds. Dinner was exquisite with lush dining room and the atmosphere in the drinks lounge with the grand piano felt sophisticated. The spa treatments was a sublime Moroccan experience again with super friendly staff. Overall highly recommend escaping to this oasis and the managing director himself made the family feel welcome.
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff and service was outstanding. Facilities were great having a rooftop pool was a plus to cool down in the midday heat. Location is perfect on the wall of the medina. Walking distance to everything.
Cons: While the hotel is in a beautiful old grand building something about the hotel feels a little tired. The animal heads on the bar walls were a bit distasteful for any animal lover. The velvet decor felt more over 65+ retiree tour bus rather than the old world charm. The food and drinks at the hotel were very over priced. Overall I would say overpriced and tired.
6,3 Good
Pros: Has a nice atmosphere and good location, the restaurant at night very good.
Cons: The food at lunch was quite poor, the service not as good upstairs as it is in the restaurant at night. Relies far too heavily on its colonial feel, amenities very poor. Terrible WiFi and no BBC World.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fantastic. Professional employees, beautiful place, great location inside the Medina... We had a great time.
Cons: Barely anything. Well, there was no space for the spa. Sorry we missed that one.

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast in the mornings were very nice. We got an upgrade where we got 2 beds instead of the 1 bed that we booked and we got 2 bathrooms as well. overall I enjoyed my stay here.
Cons: The shower in one of the bathrooms that we had did not drain. The water reached my ankle at the end of my shower. I usually only take 10-15 mins in the shower. If they were to fix this draining issue the stay would have been perfect.

Pros: Staff were delightful and very keen to get their business going under their new management. Roof terrace a bonus. Breakfast of fresh orange juice, fruit, yogurt, eggs and pancakes very good. Unlimited tea, coffee and toast with excellent honey or ham and sometimes cheese.
Cons: Nothing really, it is a haven in the medina, don’t be put off by convoluted route in narrow streets, sometimes crowded with wares laid out for sale. If you don’t stay in the medina you will miss a lot of the character of Essaioura and you are not really hassled unlike Marrakech!

Pros: Location good and very nice decor
Cons: Stairs for me - a few too many
7,5 Good
Pros: very nice
Cons: bed in piment room was too small for a couple.

We had a very pleasant stay and absolutely suggest to other guests!

Cons: Dear Hotel Director : While having my Lunch before my departure on 25/04/2018, I came down to reception and I told them that I would ordered my lunch at the bar, went to room grab my stuff which all was ready and come down to check out. As soon as I set down at a table at the bar a female who checked me out later called the bar to make sure i am at the bar and probably she thought I lied to her ( what an irresponsible disgusting business behavior of hers, shame on her, she made me and other things to never come back to Atlas and i will try Sofitel next time). I heard the female bartender telling her out loud and i quote her: “yes he is here and he requested lunch”. I stood up and told the bartender a man that I will leave to check out and come back to eat while my food is being prepared. I checked out immediately in 5 Mins and came back to the bar. While I was at my table I hear all kinds of rumors, mocking and loud noises from the piano area every now and then, complete disturbance of my lunch by the Le Seven manager and the bar staff. I ate so fast just to leave that bar. I demanded my check from a server who seemed just got in to the bar and he was quick to bring my check and i signed it with my credit card and i put cash tip on the table and left running away from a savage bar environment (sorry that was the feeling that bar gave me by its staff and manager). I am not going to tolerate this and i will not recommencer your hotel if asked only, because of the horrific experience I had at your hotel . It was not the first time I came to your hotel and I had good impression before I came this time. The facts I indicated above made a complete disappointment from some of your staff not all. As we say you have not only one bad apple there but couple. Thank you for your time, A.B
