Pros: The breakfast was amazing, and the rooms big and comfortable with a nice view over the golf and ocean.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice resort-type hotel, great kids-club
Cons: Staff was friendly but a little disorganized, food was not great (breakfast OK, but lunch / dinner subpar), rooms could use a refurbishment / upgrade
5,4 Okay
Pros: Property location is great.
Cons: When we checked in, the receptionist didn’t take the deposit, so whenever we ate or ordered we were asked about the payment. Staff were following us to the room to get the payment and refused to settle it while check out. This was an inconvenience mainly because myself and my husband were eating at the buffet while my mom was in the room with my baby ordering room service. I had to leave in the middle of my dinner at the restaurant to talk. They then decided to come back later but the machine didnt work and it was extremely awkward and inconvenient affair. The spray in the bathroom was broken. At the buffet, we saw the spread and then decided to come back 20 mins later. When we came back, some of the food was already finished and missing from the buffet spread. It was not refilled. There are no amenities in the room. No tea/coffee or even bottled water in the room. The cherry on the cake, we asked for a kettle to warm the water for our 5months baby, we got it late in the night, rinsed it with water and used it at midnight. In the morning we found out that it was dirty and the dirt came out after warming water and it was floating. We fed our baby the dirt all night. It’s disappointing to have such bad experience in a big chain hotel. The cleanliness and hygiene was shocking and highly questionable.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The hotel is beautifully located very close to city center and to the ocean/beach. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Service is scandalous! Let me present it clearly in points: 1.we arravided to the room that wasn t properly cleaned 2.there was no water/coffe/neither roomservice menu nor info about hotel anything..in the room 3.water was provided only when you asked the housekeeping few times a day..so they finally bring it 4.we had a visit of an itruder with a card early morning when everyone was sleeping who opened door using own card to the room and came in when everyone was sleepeng. He scarred and woke up my little son, after that run away. Hotel explained it as”soory for mistake” whaaat?!?!its good we woke up a d nothing was stolen! 5.the final payment calculation was different from the one on booking. The front desk worker gave us a calculation 60€ higher-different then it was on booking com bill. No SORRY no nothing just 1hour spent on asking for explanation of the situation..if I dodnt check it and wait one hour provi g my rights we would loose this money. 6.we were charged for coffe tablets in the room thats extraordinary for 5* hotel. 7.no swimmingpool is heated 8.the roomservice takes minimum 1h in case of simple tea order 9.food at in the pool/bar section is very poor. Cold hamburger, dry sandwitches, not worth it-there are much better options with better wine list in the city, 10.comparing to sofitel hotel worldwide, nice architecrure cool golf fields, facilities/staff beliw any standards
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff , the facilities and the view was breathtaking
Cons: We had to wait in the reception, to confirm our booking . The price asked to be paid in the hotel was higher than what was mentioned in the app so we waited 40 mnts .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning view on the Mogador Golf course up to the ocean, especially from the rooms on the floors above the reception. Fantastic staff very reactive and always very gentle with a smile and nice words. Nice villas accommodate for a larger family or family with young children.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: rooms were just excellent beautyful view! just fantastic. Kids club facility

In a refined ocean setting with Moroccan touches, Medina Essaouira Thalassa Sea & Spa provides 117 relaxing rooms and suites. Between authenticity and serenity, our boutique hotel offers cultural experiences through musical events such as the Festival of Alizés or Gnaouas, exhibitions, sports such as the hotel's nautical center and golf, and promotes wellness with its Thalassotherapy and Spa Institute.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Super comfy bed, excellent location. Best staff, always smiling. Food was delicious, I will truly miss this home away from home.
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was great- right on the beach and only a 5 min walk from the Medina. The pool area was lovely as well. Housekeeping was great and waitering service was great, the doormen and porters were also lovely. The private beach area for the hotel was very nice as well.
Cons: This hotel isn't at 5 star standard- for anyone traveling from Europe this would be best described as a 4 star that has been poorly maintained. Everything needs a touch up - it's certainly not luxury. Was disappointed with the welcome to the hotel- felt very rushed, everywhere else we have visited in Morocco has greeted us with tea and pastries, I would expect this from a 4/5 star hotel. Food and drinks were extremely expensive, moreso than some of the best 5 star hotels in the world. Breakfast was very overpriced at €15 per person - we had it one morning and the other mornings walked into the Medina and had delicious pastries and coffee for €1 per person- since we were on holiday we didn't mind too much about price but people want value for their money. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the reasons above, however, we had a lovely stay in Essouria.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This is an exceptional hotel where the staff are both friendly and professional in every way. The pool is fantastic and there are plenty of places to either sit or sunbathe. Spa facilities were enjoyed by my wife who described them as superb. We were very sad to leave this place - which in fact is as it should be.
Cons: The style of the rooms could possibly be modernised at some time.
6,7 Good
Pros: The people were very friendly and the location was good! The facilities of the hotel - breakfast / pool was all fine. However...
Cons: The price was far too high for the room we got. Eventually the room was not 4 star worthy. It was old, very old shower and cranes. The bed was not comfy at all, I kept rolling to one side. I think they might have old and new rooms, or at least rooms with different beds. Because at the reception they told me that if I had called them they would have given us an other room.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, kind staff
Cons: Breakfast
6,3 Good
Pros: The bed is really cosy. Complimentary drinks on arrival was fab. The shower is great. The TV is great. There’s daily free cakes and water supply. The pool was marvellous.
Cons: The WiFi is precarious at times. I can hear stomping footsteps upstairs and people talking outside my closed door. The computer internet downstairs is very slow. Food and drinks in the hotel are way more expensive than in the Médina. Not really a 5 star hotel. Airport shuttle is not complimentary even though I stayed 4 nights here.
6,0 Good
Pros: They gave us a welcome drink when we arrive. Not much to be honest, it is a big place and smell lovely. Breakfast was good but the way they ask you for the room number a bit aggressive the first day...also to find a mug and spoon took four people...
Cons: The rooms, were a bit dated and note very clean with the décor, some tiles were broken. The indoor pool can be used only from few hour in the evening and it super crowed, they should mentioned it in the hotel description.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent and the hotel looks very smart by day and night. It is a 5 minute walk to Supratour buses and the (Funky Cold) Medina. The facilities were good regarding the gym, pool and beach lounge area. The breakfast was varied and there were lovely pastries with home made jam. The bathrooms were smart and large. The staff were very friendly. Fruit, cake and water were provided each day and it was useful to have a fridge and safe in the room
Cons: My room was above the laundry and I could smell the washing detergent when seated on my balcony. The staff kindly leave chocolate cake in your room but it is left uncovered in a room prone to some flies and on my last day I got rather sick, possibly from this cake. The first breakfast we did not realise there was a supplement to have breakfast in your room unless you order the continental breakfast which is very limited. The hotel has 3 bicycles sitting outside the hotel, but these are "for show", and are not available for rent mainly as they don't work.

2,3 Mediocre
Pros: The panini and the chips were nice and the pool attendant was helpful and friendly.
Cons: The room was dirty, the reception staff were not friendly, the bed sheets had holes in them and the shower was broken.
2,7 Mediocre
Pros: it is an pure muslim hotel, with strong muslim rooms. i had to rent another room for my husband!!! the hotel is very dirty, we had only warm water in one room, staff is ofensif to non muslims. I am muslim but cannot accept this treatment in an "international" hotel. we cancelled after one night_
Cons: as mentionned above, you have to declare that it is a pure muslim hotel, with strongest religious rules and food agapted only for muslims. no alcohol, no married people acepted without the legal papers( who carries them thesedays with in the holidays???) vey ,very bad experience, very unclean, many things broken, no warm water

Cons: Nothing not to like.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It needs a bit of love, but very confortable anyway
Cons: The location, the view, the personel
7,9 Good
Pros: This property was beautiful and in an excellent location. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was decent.
Cons: I felt the place needed a deep clean - it seemed like everything was really old. We had a couch that had a bit of an odd smell. I think this place could be a 5 star hotel if they gave it a better clean. When we went into our room there was hair on the bathroom floor. Really could step up their service with better cleaning!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant view from the rooftop terrace. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Calm place on the shore of ocean.
Cons: There could be better variety of choices during breakfast, e.g. beans, more vegetables.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Location superb. Staff were extremely helpful and speak English and French. Would go back.
Cons: Is a bit pricey then you pay high local taxes on top.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this accommodation was absolutely amazing! We had our breakfast on the rooftop with an amazing overlook on the coast and walls of the old town (even though we had to keep an eye on the seagulls not to snatch our food away). The rooms were much more spacious and better looking, as well as the whole interior of the Riad than it was shown on the photos!
Cons: We would have appreciated a hairdryer inside of the room, but that was only a minor inconvenience.
7,0 Good
Pros: We arrived a night earlier due to people warning us not to stay in Casablanca due to violence. We had a lovely room on the terrace overlooking the sea. the weather cleared up.
Cons: The breakfast unfortunately was a bit lacking and was very limited. However I believe someone had complained and the manager was present for our last day, breakfast vastly improved. Such a shame they let themselves down on this.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, terasse
Cons: Could have been a little cleaner amd some stuff renewed

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing chilled out place, good location and good transport to the town. If you need a few days of nothing but just relax this is the place.
Cons: Downfall is the barking dogs late at night and during the night. So if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. And not for all as the beds are really hard.
7,0 Good
Pros: The pool and sun loungers around the pool were fantastic. Even when it was windy there was enough shelter to feel very hot. The free shuttle bus was great. The hammam and massage was also good.
Cons: The breakfast buffet wasn't the best, items were cold and not the tastiest. The shower could've been better as you had to hold the shower head.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to relax near Essaouira. They have a shuttle to get to Essaouira. Every hour to Essaouira. .30 after every hour back to the lodge. Would however advise a rental car to get to the supermarket.
Cons: We had an appartement on the groundfloor. However in between other buildings and trees so no sun on the terrace.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The food was good and the pool was warm

Cons: -The room was very cold. Very very basic and zero comfort for the price you pay for. The heater provided was old and not working correctly. -Staff were rude at Breakfast time. -Breakfast very basic. The tables weren’t set, no napkin, no vegan milk, no fruits

9,0 Excellent
Pros: the view and size of the rooms. The placement of the hotel and the privacy
Cons: no tv channels.for me to watch after a long day out and bad channel signal
4,0 Okay
Pros: Location is perfect and allowed us to keep our luggage at reception once we had checked out and also kindly printed our boarding passes for us
Cons: The first room we was given the hot water wasn’t working, we had to go to the staff twice in our towels and then eventually got given a new room. In the second room, there was a spider under the duvet and insect (not sure what) in the bathroom which we recorded and showed to the staff. They gave us the 3rd room which was inside however the hairdryer didn’t work but wasn’t too big of an issue as they gave us a replacement one and on the 2nd pillow was a stain but at this point we gave up complaining.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean hotel , the stuff were very friendly , highly recommend , I would back for sure .
1,0 Poor
Pros: It was walking distance from everything in the medina, which would have been great if I had felt safe enough as a solo woman to stay my entire time.
Cons: Awful experience. After checking in in the afternoon and wandering around with a friend, it got cold so I came back to get a sweater. My friend and I were harassed, yelled at, and eventually physically grabbed by the hotel staff. One tried to hit me and take my cellphone. I was unable to go to my room for some time, eventually they let me get my things and I checked out. I've been charged for the room when I was told I would get refunded. The police were never called even though i requested it. I had to leave because I didn't feel safe, the hotel manager was rude. They refused to speak English to me, yet they list the property as being English speaking. Also other amenities were not available in the room type too. Overall, it's a disgraceful property run by bad management. There are men outside the hotel doors who also harass travellers there to buy illegal substances who seem to be affiliated with the hotel. I have travelled to over 100 countries as a solo woman traveller, and NEVER had anything like this happen where I felt so unsafe that i had to check out. I have it on video where they attacked me, but booking.com complaints haven't bothered to return my messages or refund.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast in the beautiful courtyard.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, we were able to make trips in and out all day. It felt very secure. The room was comfortable, the rooftop garden was great for relaxing in the sun with privacy as there were areas with sun loungers, some with sofas etc - much bigger than in any of the photos. Breakfast was good. Lots of staff, all very helpful. Rooms cleaned well. Breakfast was outside in the lovely courtyard which was cold first thing (being December) but there were patio heaters and there was a room at the end that some people retreated to. There were heaters in the room which we used one night.
Cons: I would have liked a receipt for the payment transaction.

Pros: Everything was perfect during my stay. The riad is beautiful, with a wonderful and peaceful atmosphere. The staff was super kind, friendly and available to give me all the tips about the medina, like best places to visit, to go shopping and have lunch or dinner. Im very thankful to Souhail, Hicham, Ilham and Shama. They were amazing with me. The breakfast was also wonderful with fruits, yogurts, homemade cakes, bread, coffee, etc, etc. Finally, the terrace is magnific to laying on the sun, reading a book or simply chill out. I will come back, for sure! Shukran!!!!!
Cons: Anything

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fantastic place to stay whilst in Essaouira. A magnificent building, right in the thick of the action but still peaceful and tranquil enough to be deemed relaxing. The host, in the particular, was hugely friendly and accommodating and was kind enough to come with me to sort out a Moroccan SIM card for my phone. Breakfasts were large and delicious too, which set us up nicely for each day.
Cons: Nothing at all, it was more or less perfect

9,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the breakfast which varied slightly each day very much. We loved our top-floor room and its view over the rooftops and the room temperature was comfortable throughout the day/night which is good for February. Staff were all delightful. Ground floor guest space is spacious and comfortable. Roof patio is a lovely space. Effort was taken to ensure alley entrance area was kept clean which was important. We look forward to an earliest return. Staff were even there to help us negotiate the stairs with our bags at departure as well us carry our bags up at arrival. Our favoured restaurants were close by.
Cons: nothing

Pros: Great location on the edge of the medina. Fantastic views from the roof terrace across the bay. Lots of top class places to eat nearby plus you are only minutes from both the souks and the beach.
Cons: It was a shame we couldn't have an in-house facial due to the steamer being broken, but that's life!

Pros: Rooftop was great.
Cons: Some things in the bathroom were falling apart but it was fine.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was kind and always available. They provide good tips ans everything you may need. The terrace is great and the room was quite big. The location is perfect, next to the main street but not in the center of the medina, you can get anywhere in 5 min.
Cons: The bathroom was ok, but a bit old. In the night there were some noises coming from the street but it was not too much annoying.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The property was located right along the main market street, but just to the side (enough to avoid chaos). Location was excellent - especially for 2 girls traveling alone. The room was nothing fancy: clean, tidy and had everything needed. The owner Rashid was outstanding! He took the time to explain the town to us, and made brilliant suggestions.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location inside medina perfect for shopping, eating and touring. Also near car parking garage on east of city wall. Good breakfast. Nice staff, comfortable bed.
Cons: Loudspeaker of closeby mineret pointed at room window meant early morning “wake up” call to prayer that catapulted me from bed. Toilet seat cover broken and kept falling off.

Pros: We had a wonderful peaceful stay at the Villa Daba. The owners are lovely, and really helpful. They suggested places for us to go, and on one day even recommended and booked a lovely restaurant for lunch for us. And the villa quiet with a beautifully clean and warm swimming pool. We visited in October and we had the pool to ourselves. Every morning we had a continental breakfast round the swimming pool as the sun rose. Every bedroom is unique, and different, and ours was full of character and comfortable. On some evenings we had dinner at the villa, and the cooking was superb. We were asked what we would like in advance for a main, and the fish was fantastic. But so was the chicken tagine.
Cons: The only disadvantage of the villa is that it is a mile or two down a dirt road, and you need a car to get there. But we soon got used to this, and we look forward to returning!

Pros: The riad was stunning. The courtyard was an oasis and the nicest place to come back to after taking a stroll through the medina and souks. Our room was lovely, bathroom had a massive tub which the two of us enjoyed, nice way to relax after a busy day or sight seeing. The staff were lovely and very kind. Breakfast was plentiful, water was provided and limitless for free. The fireplace in the room was nice on a chilly night. Great for those travelling in winter.

Pros: Riad Chbanate was recommended to me by a friend and it far exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the suite at the very top with a view of the whole city, which was incredible, especially for relaxing on the balcony in the sun and watching the sun set. The huge bath was so luxurious, the breakfast was wonderful, we wish we had stayed for longer.

Pros: Chems Bleu is a short easy walk from the Supratours Bus Station (they email directions prior to arrival), has a charming courtyard garden and a rooftop terrace with port views, and personnel who go the extra yard to make sure you enjoy your stay. We had to extend our stay because of coronavirus flight cancellations and they accommodated us and even upgraded our rooms. Very good breakfast on the rooftop terrace gives you a good start to the day. The best tip was to buy fresh fish at the fish market that is cooked to taste at the adjoining stalls. They saw us off with mint tea and pastries.

Pros: Our stay was beyond exceptional. We had originally planned a one night stay before our plane got cancelled due to Covid-19. They allowed us to extend our booking two extra nights and provided us with room upgrades for no additional costs. The riad is nicely tucked away within the Medina but very easy to find and extremely safe. The location is outstanding and the staff was absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were always well fed and accommodated for. The hospitality and comfort was second to none. Anyone visiting Essaouira should consider Chems Bleu. You will not be disappointed!

The room was immaculate and there are lovely common areas with beautiful views, providing the perfect place to chill out. Pros: Best view over Looking the ocean. Thank you.
Cons: Fot the money we paid everything was ok.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The view is the reason we have and will return here. You can't find another one like it, but you have to stay in one of the suites to really enjoy it. The breakfast room and terrace have the most amazing view in all of Essaouira. The elevator is a rare commodity in Essaouira.
Cons: The hotel is a little tired (beautiful building but due for an update). We keep returning because of the inimitable view. I wouldn't stay here again in a standard room. Also, in room coffee facilities would be a nice addition for the suite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view of the ocean from the room was amazing. The rose petals on the bed, around the bedroom and the bathroom were a beautiful touch. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I loved the decor of the Riad and the room was one if the most visually beautiful I have ever stayed in.
Cons: Some handyman work going on so at times during the day a little annoying

Cons: Dear Hotel Director : While having my Lunch before my departure on 25/04/2018, I came down to reception and I told them that I would ordered my lunch at the bar, went to room grab my stuff which all was ready and come down to check out. As soon as I set down at a table at the bar a female who checked me out later called the bar to make sure i am at the bar and probably she thought I lied to her ( what an irresponsible disgusting business behavior of hers, shame on her, she made me and other things to never come back to Atlas and i will try Sofitel next time). I heard the female bartender telling her out loud and i quote her: “yes he is here and he requested lunch”. I stood up and told the bartender a man that I will leave to check out and come back to eat while my food is being prepared. I checked out immediately in 5 Mins and came back to the bar. While I was at my table I hear all kinds of rumors, mocking and loud noises from the piano area every now and then, complete disturbance of my lunch by the Le Seven manager and the bar staff. I ate so fast just to leave that bar. I demanded my check from a server who seemed just got in to the bar and he was quick to bring my check and i signed it with my credit card and i put cash tip on the table and left running away from a savage bar environment (sorry that was the feeling that bar gave me by its staff and manager). I am not going to tolerate this and i will not recommencer your hotel if asked only, because of the horrific experience I had at your hotel . It was not the first time I came to your hotel and I had good impression before I came this time. The facts I indicated above made a complete disappointment from some of your staff not all. As we say you have not only one bad apple there but couple. Thank you for your time, A.B

Pros: It is a great location, near the beach and Medina. The parking lot has good lighting and helpful attendants. Easy check in.
Cons: The floor covering in the halls could be refreshed, but overall its not a big issue.
