8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in middle of downtown. If you want to visit the town by foot, this is the place to stay. The house is very nice. This is more a Hotel particulier than really a big house or building. Interiors is nice and rooms spacious enough. The breakfast is great and you have really good selection of pastries and cakes for a very reasonable price.
Cons: Bathtub but with no shower protection. You have to be careful if you don’t want to overflow the floor. It could have been cleaner in the bathroom even so it was clean and neat.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast ok but location excellent
Cons: No tea/ coffee making in room
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and the breakfast options were plentiful. We decided this hotel had the best croissants of our 3 week trip! The location is excellent for walking to local sites and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel does not have an elevator. Parking is very convenient and the hotel was easy to find. We would stay at this hotel again.

Pros: Real France
Cons: A little more selection for breakfast
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was really good and the staff were really friendly but the room was way smaller than promised
Cons: The room was really small , way smaller than expected , as well as the bathroom
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. This was our third time in Tours, but our first stay at Hotel du Mail. We’ll definitely stay here for future visits.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location for walking into Angers. Charming team and a good breakfast. Room very quiet and comfortable. Hotel going through an upgrade at the moment so some areas looked tired but refurbished bedroom was great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Within a 2 mn walk from centre town and 15mn from the railway station. Very pleasant change from the Standard Ibis style with an exceptionally friendly staff. Very good WiFi connection if you happen to travel with teenagers.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A lovely old establishment which as been fully renovated with taste. The owners were very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast provided was varied, abundant, and tasty. A place I would stay again. In addition, if you arrive early, limited free parking is provided in the hotel's courtyard - a real plus in the center of the city!
Cons: I can think of nothing that I would suggest for the establishment as I was very pleased with everything. But I would warn travelers who are arriving on Sunday evening that there are VERY few restaurants open nearby, and those that are open are not really very good.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It has been a pleasure to stay at this fascinating 1820 building, fabulously furnished and full of charming details. Mme Marchand is a very kind and caring hostess. Even before my arrival she was taking good care to make sure I was well received on a Sunday evening. Delicious French breakfast with fresh breads and orange juice and homemade jams.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location is very close to the centre but still quiet . The accommodation is very clean .
Cons: This is NOT as it is described !! It is an apartment in and old building belonging to Madame Marchand who simply rents out 2 of her bedrooms (1double & 1 twin room). You DO NOT have a private bathroom or toilet ! In fact there isn’t a bath at all but a very old shower cubicle with grubby discoloured grouting and the owners washing machine and tumble dryer which I might add was in use upon my arrival ! The toilet is separate and it is simply NOT TRUE to advertise this establishment with private facilities. They are ALL shared by other guests and Madame Marchand herself ! Very awkward and uncomfortable creeping about at night to use the toilet and in fear of meeting someone else! I was in the double room , very small , poor Wi-fi , no luggage rack , no full length mirror , only a small mirror above tv ( did not use ) and simply not suitable to apply makeup or have any space to place makeup. There was a small writing desk which had a tea/ coffee tray, along with a small kettle which had to be taken to the shared washroom to fill ! Very close to the beverage tray is a teapot, 2 cups, milk and sugar bowl . I was unable to have a cup of tea as there was no milk, I had a coffee which on the first morning in a China cup. It appears that these were NOT TO BE USED as they were removed from my room ! HOW VERY RUDE ! Breakfast was very disappointing....... pre packed yoghurt , jam with a croissant and baguette ! NO fruit , cheese or ham, the basics that form a continental breakfast! More disappointing was there was NO baguette on the second morning, only a croissant and some not fresh sliced bread . I had to make my own hot chocolate with Luke warm milk . In the reviews of this place there is NO mention of the accessibility. Loose gravel to the front with 40 steps to the door of the apartment. As described there is access to a private garage, however the garage is incredibly difficult to access and in addition IMPOSSIBLE without the owner! 90+ steps up to apt.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Charming and helpful hostess. Beautiful apartment in a lovely old house in a superb location for exploring Angers
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Well, it is not a room in a hotel but rather a suite in a manor with as modern things as wi-fi together with as antique ones as furniture with forged keys. The bedroom is perfectly clean, comfortable, with a great view. The french breakfast is in the beautiful dining room. The landlord is a very helpful lady. Looks like the manor has some mysteries I had no time to investigate. It reminds me Feldman's Les Valses De Vienne song (and the video with a small girl). Et les volets qui grincent D'un château de province? Note, the floors creak.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome. Mme Marchand is very thoughtful and considerate. Parking under the house. Thank you, this was a wonderful stay.
