Cons: The breakfast was cold
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is an hotel with a personal touch and attention to the needs of the clients. Free coffee in the lobby, breakfast with Okinawan specialities. One of the nicest hotels I stayed in.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, 5' from the departure of the ferries to Iromote and Taketomi. Smaller and better looking hotel than most of other ones around.
Cons: Rather small rooms but this is common in Japan. Was quite stuffy in the room.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The service is excellent as the staff are very attentive and the spread of breakfast is good...
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, Great helpful staff, Lots of tea/coffee on offer at all times, Decent value for money
Cons: Nothing really
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice staff, free bicycle renting (bike not so good, but it is free!), water and tea available on the ground floor. Good price-quality ratio. Well located. Appreciate you can choose options for room cleaning.
Cons: Breakfast was just ok. Not so many options.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staffs were so kind and friendly, the room is always clean and I really liked aloha shirts they borrowed us for free!
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great. Laundry facilities very good. View of sea.
Cons: Double bed was tiny even for Japan standards. Not really suitable for two western size people. Room all up not very comfortable.
Pension Coco - Ishigaki - Outdoor view
2
9,0 Excellent (99 reviews)
R1 266+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Pension Coco in Ishigaki, you'll be by the sea, within a 15-minute drive of Ishigaki Port and Tojinbaka. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The pension was very nice and The owner of the pension was very kind and useful. She was always available for suggestion and tips, she reserved for us restaurant and also the best sushi in town, then when I told her I am not a big fan of Japanese breakfast with soup or tofu, she prepared for me always bread and hams with yogurt which was very appreciated.
Cons: We liked everything, nothing to complain about.Location was very nice, in front of a resort with very nice beach. Only advice is to rent a car, If not you're far from everything but the resort so you cannot enjoy the island. We had a car, so everything was OK.
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff is really friendly. They help us when we got some issues with our returning flight. The bedrooms are quite big. The pension is located near a resort (with pools) which is possible to access with an extra fee.
Cons: It is easier to access this pension by car. We didnt have a car but still manage it. The bus is only going once an hour so you need to plan you journey in advance. There is no restaurant or grocery store within walking distance. You need to reserve a place for the restaurants at the resort and they were often fully booked and quite expensive. I would suggest to get a car if you want to stay at this pension.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfy
Cons: There should have been ash trays on the deck at the back of the room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really good, both western and japanese. You can rent a bike and ask for advice, the owner is really friendly and helpful!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 10 minutes drive to the city, a short stroll to the beach, friendly and helpful host, delicious breakfast, clean room and comfy beds
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The pension is beautiful, nice terrace to sit outside, comfy beds, everything you need and the most helpful and welcoming host.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Super cosy place with amazing hosts! Tamoko san is super helpful and cheerful! The bed was super comfy and breakfast delicious. Great hammock on the balcony with green jungles behind.
Cons: Nothing to add. Even the construction around the area didn’t bother us.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed as a group of 3 for five nights, in 2 twin rooms. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a really cozy feel to it. Facilities were all good, and the aircon saved us from the summer humidity. One of us got heatstroke halfway through the trip and the lady running the hotel went out of her way to help them, including making isotonic drinks that we’d otherwise have to visit the port to buy. Breakfast at 500yen a day was a steal, with huge portions and delicious homemade food - even freshly baked bread!
Cons: Wifi was a little weak but l it did work, I can’t think of anything else I’d want to change
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Tomoko was an excellent host who answered all our questions. We often walked to the nearby Fusaki Resort to go to the beach and pick up snacks at their indoor store. Ishigaki is a stunning place!
Cons: Not necessary a bad thing, depending on what you are looking for, but the location is a bit far removed from town and the bus runs only 5-6 times a day.

5,4 Okay
Pros: To be honest, I don't really understand the good ratings. The only positive points are the friendly staff and the nice rooftop.
Cons: The whole place is quite old and moist, the AC didn't work well (either too cold or nothing). Many things don't work as they should and hygiene is quite low for a place in Japan.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: ➡️My experience at Shiraho friend house was absolutely great
7,0 Good
Pros: Stars and sea.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hiro-san and Yuya-san go beyond to make sure you are having the best time on Ishigaki. They provide great area maps, recommendations and got me a cheap rental car! The rooftop is amazing for stargazing. Really lovel guest house!

Ishigakijima Hotel Olive - Ishigaki - Bathroom
4
8,7 Excellent (363 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The completely non-smoking Hotel Olive is just a 1-minute walk from the Ishigakijima Ferry Terminal and provides cosy Western and Japanese rooms, homemade artistic flourishes and free WiFi at the lobby. Storage for diving and marine equipment is available. Basic rooms come with a flat-screen TV, towels, free toiletries and a hairdryer. The private bathroom has a bathtub with shower attachment. Guests staying in the Japanese-style room sleep in traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Hotel Olive Ishigaki Island features coin-operated laundry facilities and a shared refrigerator. The Ishigakijima bus terminal is a 1-minute walk away, and it's a 31-minute drive to the New Ishigaki Airport. The nearby ferry terminal offers easy access to other islands. Simple breakfast of toast and coffee is offered at the dining room at an extra charge.
7,9 Good
Pros: Pretty clean, very quiet, perfect location, amazing cheap breakfast
Cons: Host treats you like a baby but is otherwise nice. First question asked before introductions is are you a smoker despite "no smoking" mentioned in the booking and signs in room. Also walks you up 2 staircases to explain unnecessary things that could be said at the counter. Communication could be better. Single bed is small and not firm enough. Only 1 pillow. Need at least two.
5,8 Okay
Pros: THE breakfast is FANTASTIC for only a 100 yen (about $1)!! The location to the bus terminal to get to airport is great (block away) and the ferry terminal (a block away) for the other island adventures. Washer and dryer were ok in the hallway (except again, no A/C in hallway); they will provide a fan upon request (do ask for one)
Cons: NO A/C in hallways (its brutal to walk up 3 stories in the interior heat); no coffee machine in room; room was very small; A/C in room was barely sufficient (and the control device was only in Japanese, no English markings or even symbols on it);
6,3 Good
Pros: The place is clean, everyday they clean the rooms and change towels and other stuff
Cons: The price is very very high compared to the service offered: the Reception is always empty (wi fi does not work but i cant tell to anyone...) and the hotel is super hot, upstairs and downstairs does not match too much so i was a bit confused we saw the woman when we checked in and she'ss not speaking english. We met other guests at the entranc with the same feeling so i think the pictures and rates are a bit unfair. It's the first time that happen to me in Japan but i was very upset by the quality/price ratio, for the same price you can find other options.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very kind owner that provided us with good tips for restaurants and other activities in Ishigaki. Breakfast for 100¥ is definitely something we would recommend (basic small breakfast that will get you started for the day).
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Loved breakfast and service and how central the location was. Great internet and air con
Cons: We loved it all, just that we are quite old and found sleeping on futons and tatami a little harder than we expected!! Loved the experience.
7,9 Good
Pros: breakfast & location is great
Cons: dust on the exhaust fan in bathroom
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location next to port, bus terminal , shops and restaurants

Intercontinental - Ana Ishigaki Resort - Ishigaki - Building
6
8,6 Excellent (2 197 reviews)
R4 057+
Overview Reviews
There are many leisure facilities to fulfill your vacation, and you can enjoy walking, year-round garden pools, treatment spas, indoor pools and short golf. It is also famous as a resort known as the first starry sky reserve in Japan. You can also visit other islands within about 30 minutes by ferry, which is a convenient base for traveling around the island.
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff were polite and the hotel location was good right in the middle of town and the airport so access was quite easy. They did help me organise a cake for my wife’s birthday ahead of time which was nice of them.
Cons: Indoor pool was dated. In all fairness it was bad weather during our stay so we couldn’t use the outdoor pool and beach which looked pretty inviting had it been a sunny day. Food was actually pretty bad and very expensive. We ate in the resort the first day and realised how poor it was and so we started eating out for the remainder of our stay.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and comfortable rooms, great breakfast buffet, room service was good, spa was dreamy.
Cons: Location isn't great in that you have to get a bus everywhere and there's not really anything within walking distance. The restaurants are also very expensive for what you get. Also, as we went in the off-peak season several facilities in the hotel were either closed (e.g outdoor bar) or limited (e.g. spa opening hours).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: exceptionally hospitable staff, probably the best location on the island
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds-- especially at night.
Cons: Check to make sure pool is open based on season.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Best view , super nice staff and good facility
Cons: None
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing positive to say
Cons: The hotel smells cigarettes in the corridor and non smoking rooms have a horrible and unsustainable smell. We asked to change. The next one was better in terms of odor but we we had to compromise on view. Staff knows zero English which makes things very difficult. Only a small swimming pool that is extremely noisy with loads of kids screaming. This is a children play, no one actually sunbathes. There is no beach!! So basically no way to escape or relax. On the website looks like there is a beach but there is not. It is the sea with some structure next to it. You can t swim there or sunbathe. Anything you do in the hotel is expensive. Food, drinks. Etc Not perfect in terms of location. Not in centre and taxis are expensive. Not a good spot for diving either. I recommend using eurodivers for diving. Super professional, but they are more north west. On last day we went to the inter continental hotel for the day, it was so good!! Many swimming pools, beach, staff welcoming and speak well English, nice common areas. The dream, it is slightly more expensive but would hve pid the difference if I had known.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Awesome view, very quiet and very clean. The hotel and its staff were really nice.
Cons: The biggest and most serious complaint that I have is a big one. While I know that most Asian beds are firm, the ones at this hotel are absolutely terrible. They were by far the worst that I have ever experienced over the years in Asia. I might as well have slept on a granite slab. While you get two restaurants to chose from for breakfast, only the buffet was sufficient. The breakfast at Diego bar was really not good at all. I would suggest doing away with that option all together. Also the dinner restaurants and the spa on the premises were highly overpriced. I would definitely eat and have a massage out in town.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with a lot of things!
Cons: None.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing seaside resort, good facilities, the public bath is relaxing. Breakfast is good too!
Cons: The swimming pool is a bit small
6,7 Good
Pros: The view of the hotel is nice. The structures look slightly old though. The buffet breakfast is good.
Cons: The food at restaurant 舟藏 is overpriced! Its quality is totally incompatible.
7,9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and the location
Cons: Nothing really!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is really amazing! As a non-japanese, there were lots of selection and i was able to try local food. They change their breakfast menu every now and then which is good. They have 4 restaurants to choose from. The room is very nice especially the bathroom. There is japanese concert every night, so its a real Japanese experience. There is also complimentary shuttle from and back to airport.
Cons: The bed and pillows are so hard.

Pros: Staffs, breakfast, drinks, rooftop and location!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great service and amazing breakfast. The room was super clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Great detail to offer complimentary basic needs like moisture cream, toothbrushes, etc.
4,0 Okay
Pros: the location
Cons: run down place in need of serious renovation. Basic breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They were so hospitable and you could feel their passion for their job. They even offered free drinks in their lobby and they gave us a box of cookies as souvenir when we checked out, so unexpected. Room is also very clean and spacious enough for us. Very near to the bus terminal and port so it is very convenient. They have quite a variety for breakfast too. Nothing to be picky about. Will definitely come back to this hotel if I ever visit Ishigaki again!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room I stayed was very comfortable and quiet. Also it was clean and a perfect size for one person. There were a set of good bathroom amenity and pajamas. Breakfast consisted of a good variety.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Appreciated with the staff's attitude, especially the lady who helps us communicating on the arrangement of a star-sight tour on Oct 11. Sorry I forget to ask for her name but her passion and eagerness to help is the model and key of the hotel's value.
Cons: Room for improvement for breakfast. Good coffee with average food. I would recommend hotel to charge 20% more on the breakfast cost but serving with better food.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: + Good location. Close to the central bus station (2 Minutes by feet) and close to the ferry port (5 Minutes by feet). + The Hotel is also close to the central market where you have many good restaurants. + The Rooftop Terrace is nice to watch the sunset. + The rooms are not very big, but normal for japanese hotels.
Cons: The bathroom is still okay but a restauration would be a good idea.
Beach Hotel Sunshine - Ishigaki - Building

8,5 Excellent (614 reviews)

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The dinner in the seafront restaurant was delicious. The bedroom itself was new and incredibly comfortable. It was well stocked with everything that we might need. The pool was nice with great views of the sea.
Cons: No beers beside the pool. You have to rent towels at the pool which seems a bit cheap given the price paid for the room. No room service.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
5,4 Okay
Pros: The prices here were very high for the room and hotel amenities that were available - that said, the pool and outdoor space was lovely, especially for sunset views.
Cons: This property was very expensive for the basic nature of the room and amenities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff members. Next to the beach. Environmentally friendly facilities.
Cons: I liked everything.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Female staff at the front desk and facility like laundry and outside bath.
Cons: The blinds in the room were covered in dust and floor was dusty too. The full payment up front upon the arrival is lame when they have your credit card detail and paid 4 start hotel price. Also the male staff showed everyone’s bill to everyone. We all booked different way, had different rate. There was no discreet and made everyone uncomfortable. It is not professional way to sort the bills.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Basically no sand band on the beach
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is good, very tasty and good variety.
Cons: There are not too many restaurants nearby, so if the hotel restaurants can offer hot food/snack menu in the hours between lunch & dinner would be great. Swimming pool is a bit shallow and hope can improve on it.
7,9 Good
Pros: This hotel is well located on the coast, about a 1000yen taxi ride from the ferry terminal. But there is a concrete wall separating the hotel from the sea, so , although there is access via steps, the beach is virtually non-existent. Staff are very gracious and helpful.
Cons: Room was small, but comfortable. The pool is very shallow. Sea adjoining is quite dirty, perhaps due to a nearby sewerage plant

This resort features 140 square feet (13 square meters) of event facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary at scheduled times.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything. Although the hotel was under expansion, many workers were in and out, but customer service was still top notch! It was right beside the fusaki beach, the view was awesome!
Cons: swimming pool were closed after November I understand that they need it to close down for maintenance, but it was so hot during our stay, I wish at least kid pool was open. My 3 yr old son was so disappointed. Would definitely come again during summer!
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice decor, nice rooms and It’s location, the beach is nice right on your doorstop and the location of the beach bar is great a very nice place to sit and have a drink overlooking the ocean.
Cons: It was very noisy with lots of children there is no area to swim in the pool for adults and it’s so expensive. The beach was completely dismantled when we arrived as they were preparing for a typhoon which was a shame we didn’t get to see that area properly and swim in the sea. You had to book your breakfast slot which is too rigid for me and even then had to wait in a queue. View from balcony wasn’t great for the money you spend. It’s a lovely hotel but not sure it’s worth the money. Ishigaki hotels on the whole are very dated we stayed in quite a few. The best view by far is the seaside hotel near Kariba bay but that is in dire need of an update. That side of the island has much nicer beaches and better for swimming. Ishigaki is very depressing in a typhoon!!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: My daughters loved the access to the pool, splash pad and beach. The staff was very attentive. The room was spacious compared to other Japanese hotel rooms. As an American who is accustomed to pillowtop mattresses, we weren't comfortable with the mattresses provided but it doesn't take away from our experience at all. We utilized the travel personnel on site and they were so convenient to set things up and cancel on our behalf. We had a fantastic time and would happily return to Fusaki.
Cons: 1. Mattress quality, but that's always the case with Japanese style bedding. 2. Price of food on site was expensive but that's to be expected at resorts.
7,5 Good
Pros: Modern and spacious rooms, Kimono for parents and children. Facilities for kids, pool, waterpark were great. Very clean.
Cons: Quality and choice of food was extremely disappointing. No fresh and/or healthy options, felt like fast food at all times. Too much single plastic use. Napkins/straws/wet tissues/plastic cups etc.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Carpark too far away The room is too small given the price is not cheap
6,7 Good
Cons: Pool was closed.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: kind and nice staffs, nice room with terrace, nice breakfast with many japanese local foods, and very easy to reach to the beach located in the southern-west part of the island where you can enjoy great sunset and stars
Cons: i hope 1) the swimming pool can open even in the winter time 2) suggest the hotel shop can provide tax-fee 3) car park no 2 was closed during my visit, which the parking is just in front on the room (now has to walk about few minutes to take the car --- anyhow, not a big deal)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Superb location on the western shore of the island, perfect for sunsets, with an ideal shingle beach and beautiful turquoise waters. The pool area is beautifully laid out and is spacious, ideal for both couples and families.
Cons: The resort restaurants and bars are in places slightly pricey for what they are. Also, the staff are required to enforce some seemingly unnecessary rules - canoeing restricted to a very limited area of the beach for no obvious reason (and irrespective of ability) no t-shirts in the pool (not good for westerners looking to protect against the sun!). Relaxing these rules would make the experience more enjoyable. Also, the staff generally speak limited English - which makes it hard for a non-Japanese speaker to understand these rules (or indeed the offerings of the resort generally) - even more written English information would help.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is right on the beach. Breakfast had an extensive choice.
Cons: We didn't know that there is no swimming from Nov- Feb.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Maybe the most beautiful cove on the whole island??? The view from the hotel room was AMAZING! Everyone in the staff were very kind as well. It was paradise! Try the snorkeling experience :)
Cons: A wider selection of wines would be nice.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, secluded location on a white sandy beach. Staff was extremely helpful despite some language problems. Will definitely come again
Cons: The room was only available after 3pm, which may make sense during peak season. During low season however, as the room was empty anyway, this waiting was unnecessary. Also, due to the humid season, towels and bed smelled a little. That could have been better. Ideally the room should also be non-smoking as a standard.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully located by the beach. I loved the view from the room. Great breakfast and nice staff.
Cons: The public bath needs some renovation. It would be useful if staff speak better English.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wow - great hotel Very clean and great staff Onsen was great Paradise
Cons: Music in lobby was a bit repetitive but otherwise I can’t fault this place
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice big rooms, nice onsen bath and pool
Cons: The building is a bit old and the restaurants were very expensive. The beach was okay but not sandy beach
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great great hotel, simple humble style but still gorgeous and comfy, with huge rooms and great view on the beautiful sea of Ishigaki. The morning buffet is amazing, the access to the beach is also incredible (2min walking distance).
Cons: There's not a lot of establishments around the area, leaving you to eat the dinner at the hotel which doesn't offer lots of no meat options (BBQ style mainly, or expensive all you can eat buffet). Aside from that, the proposed menu for the evening isn't great.
6,3 Good
Pros: great view, fantastic sea
Cons: old facility, no english speaking, so so cleaning

Overview Reviews
Located in Ishigaki, Nata Beach Villa is within a 15-minute drive of Tamatorizaki Observatory and Hirakubo Beach. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,5 Good
Pros: The “villa”/room was quiet big with both 2x chair and 1 table + an outside ranch. Very nicely and helpful staff who prepares japenese style breakfast in the morning :)) and are willing to help and guide you. Have a Beach 2min walk, but not a useful Beach as the other ones on the Island.
Cons: This is more like a “motel” instead a hotel + it’s placed on the northeast coast of Ishigaki without any restaurants and cafees nearby. Please rent a car. There is a lot bugs, which is fine, but also lizzard crawling on the walls in the room, so if you dont like lizzard; STAY AWAY!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast and such friendly staff. Helped us so much with traveling around the area, as we didnt hire a car and we didnt realise how isolated this property was.
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: Last year I do have a good memories in this villa, but this summer when I back here again, the room is full of strongly pee and poo smell, and the owner did not check and change my room and make us felt sick........ Also ,the breakfast tasted is not good in this year...
7,9 Good
Pros: All the staff in Nata were really nice, Kendor San and Uncle were awesome and helpful, I felt hospitality during my stay.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Friendly, polite and helpful staff, they'll do their very best to may your stay pleasant. The receptionist helped me modify my booking and I'm still thankful for that. Excellent shower, one the best we used. The breakfast: tasty and perfectly cooked! Parking spot right in front of the room.
Cons: This is actually a motel, not a place for a vacation. Ideally located at a junction right next to the main road this is rather a convenient stay for busy people or people not willing to go for the big leisure place or the beach guest house, not really for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The beds and sheets were clean but all surfaces were covered with dust. Toilet and shower were clean. Tiny ants around the window but those did not come any closer inside the room while a small lizard on the other hand woke us in the middle of the night, enjoying a stroll through the room (tropical climate... we saw a lizard at a very nice place too). View upon a yard looking rather abandoned.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The fact that it was well out of the port and city area and quite remote appealed to us . Very quiet area and friendly staff/ owners. A great place to unwind and reset after busy Tokyo! You will need a car to to bring some additional snacks and food as there is not much around the accomodation. We loved Gary the cat.
Cons: If you don’t like creepy crawlies don’t stay here. There are quite a few around particularly at night - so don’t leave your washing/ beach towels out at night otherwise they may end up in your room like what happened to us . Staff were helpful trying to catch / remove said creatures so all good!

7,0 Good
Pros: This hotel is about 2 mins walk to the ferry terminal, and walking distance to many eateries. Over our 5 nights stay here, we stayed at various rooms - the Japanese room with the tatami mats and futon, the Hollywood twin room, the port view twin room and the suite with terrace on the highest 13th floor. Tatami mats in the Japanese rooms are nice but the area is a little small and the futons are a little thin. The WC and shower are separated in the Japanese room. The Hollywood twin room and port view twin rooms are fine for 2 persons but a little tight for 3. Bathrooms are a little small to fit two persons in the twin rooms. There are only two suites on the 13th floor. The suite is way more spacious with the WC, shower and wash basin areas separated, a big terrace on the side and a balcony in front. The terrace and balcony offers a great view of the port and sea but the walls could do with a little repainting. We loved the buffet breakfast every morning. There is free flow Japanese food, Okinawa dishes, Western selection, good espresso, ice cream. The variety of fresh fruits can be improved. Another percularity is that they do not provide knives to butter or speed the jam on the toast / croissant. Breakfast may seem a little expensive but we soon realised that there are not many choices for breakfast outside the hotel, and for the amount we ate, it was definitely worth it. Over alternate days, some of the dishes vary, so we did not get sick of the food.
Cons: I was awakened up by noise from the port every morning if the balcony door was not closed. But closing the doors filtered out the noise significantly. All rooms face the port / sea and no rooms face inland. This also meant that there are no rooms on the other side of the corridor and as the corridors did not have windows, you will feel the weather immediately upon exiting your rooms. It is the same with the hotel lobby - you will feel the wind immediately outside the lobby doors. There are 3 TOP-load washers and 3 dryers at a sheltered but open-air area on the ground floor of the hotel. Each wash cost 300Y and every 30 mins of drying cycle cost 100Y. There is washing powder free for one to use. The washers are not exactly coin-operated - you need to turn on the washers then go to the lobby, pay 300Y, then will the washers start. So in cold and windy weather, do wear warm clothes when you do the laundry as you will feel the wind while walking back and forth. Despite paying for the dryers, they are really lacking in performance and the clothes are not dry even after 2 cycles and despite not overloading them. Both the washers and dryers are in need of updating.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great location, good value for money. The room was very spacious and had a very nice view to the port. Check in is early (14:00) which is very convenient.
Cons: The room had a weird smell. Facilities felt a bit old.

Cons: Pillow was very hard
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast is very Okinawa-style and I like it.
