Pros: The location is quite easy to find, the staff is friendly and the rooms are really clean and nicely decorated. It has a shared bathroom on each floor but we didn't mind as it was well located and didn't bother any other tourists. The brakfast was really tasty and nicely served. We were very satisfied with this place. Greetings!

Cons: Was not greeted on arrival by mateo who was fully aware that we had just arrived, however he felt that a white Person behind us in the queue was more important than us. We did however not take it to heart but in the morning we requested a coffee and was told that they would bring it to our room. This simply did not happen and they acted like we were invisible. Overall we were made to feel totally unwelcome. We were again ignored by mateo when checking out. The Moroccan guy working there was polite. Mateo is the owner and host but felt that other people were more first class citizens and we were just second class. It’s a shame because when people are travelling they go to enjoy themselves and not be surrounded by such negative energy. Will not stay here again!

Pros: Really clean and beautifully decorated rooms with nutritious and tasty breakfast for a decent price. Located in the centre of essaouira, just 5 minutes from bus station.

Pros: I really liked the location - right in the middle of the old town. Also, I believe the rooms are very stylishly furnished, as well as cozy in general. We also loved the breakfast - more than enough for 2 people, well worth the price.

Cons: Just like with many other Moroccan accommodations, it was somewhat difficult to find, especially because the street sign was worn off and the name of the street was barely readable.

Pros: A little gem. Excellent location, right in the heart of the medina but on a quiet cul-de-sac. Perfect base for exploring beautiful Essaouira. Rooms are large and comfortable with lovely oriental touches. The landlady is lovely and helpful. No hesitation booking it again when I go back.

Cons: No problems. It is not a luxurious hotel with all the services, but one comes to Essaouira for the city not for all-in-package sea side resort. My bathroom was outside the room.

Pros: we had an amazing stay in dar latigeo. adeline was extremely friendly and was very helpfull with any questions we had. the rooms are nice and the (shared) bathroom is very clean. beisdes that, essaouira is a lovely city and dar latigeo is right in the middle of it.

Pros: The french lady whom i can´t remember the name is such a good hostess!! Really cool ambient , even that by the door you can´t have the real idea of the neat ambient you are gonna find inside. Usual in marroquian lodgements.Really worthless!

Pros: Excellent, friendly welcome to a fine, small, boutique hotel by new owner Adeline - nothing was too much trouble. Hotel very central, so better than two other hotels I have stayed in in Essaouira before and extremely good value indeed. Copious, varied breakfast - open to suggestions/ requests. Own keys so free to come and go. Could not fault the hotel or any aspect of its running at all and I shall certainly come agazin whenever I come here again, and, as it is a favopurite spot, that may be in a couple of months. Highly recommended. Thanks to Booking.com for finding it for me.

Pros: The owners couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The room was gorgeous, quiet, airy, the breakfast delicious and we really were made to feel welcome. They made our stay special.

Cons: They could have given us a key for the outside door so that they didn't have to open it for us each time we returned to the hotel.

Pros: Very friendly and competent staff. The riad is tastefully decorated. And dinner was excellent!

Cons: Our rooms were a bit "tired", plumbing deserves attention. And the rooftop terrace would be even more enjoyable if it would be a bit cleaner.

Pros: Location. Food was truly authentic and amazing (they offer “table d’hôtes”; you have to book in advance). A must try, fantastic value for money in a nice, cozy and newly refurbished environment. You will not regret it!

Pros: The personnel and attention were amazing! To my understanding, the property has been recently renovated which makes sense, it's very pretty and comfortable.

Cons: The bed was a bit stiff and the room smelled a bit damp. The shower head didn't stay in the clip so the water went everywhere in the bathroom.

Pros: The breakfast was very good. We were happy to have a different selection each day. We also had 1 dinner there which as expected was excellent. We had a traditional fish tajine and the "terre merre" which was more modern in the approach but still had the Morrocan flavor essence. Housekeeping was alsovery nice

Cons: I didn't particularly care for the establishment's exchange rate of 1 euro per 11 dh. It would have been less of a confusion if they had listed the charges in both Euro and Dirham. The prices on booking.com was in Euro and so was the dinner menu. I expected my credit card to be charged in the calculated Euro (via the credit card company curent market exchange rate). Instead, I ended paying more because the Riad had already established their own fixed exchange rate (from Euro to Dirham) and the credit card had to charged in Dirham. We stayed at another riad and did not have the same problem. It would definitely be more helpful and less confusing if you're more transparent or explanatory regarding how you charge/ accept payment for services beforehand.

Pros: The property was the nicest in the area. The staff were so helpful and the service was great especially at the front desk from Kanima and Nezha. The private beach was beautiful and also had great staff.

Pros: The property is definitely passable - but tired. If you are willing to have an OK resort for a discount price - this is for you. The staff is as helpful as can be, and this counts for sure. Also, location cannot be better.

Pros: The best of the hotel: location and friendly people (waiters, security doormen, cleaners, all of them) specially Smail (the witter at the beach), he always have a great smile even not good level of foreign languages, fantastic person!!! The cleaning service excellent, twice a day and always with precious details in the room!! The swimming pool so great to have a great breakfast with an excellent serving tables. Fantastic direct music with Sami at the club, excellent singer (+ guitar), he make very special moments in our stay at the hotel. The Thalassa services, specially massage was wonderful, a very good experience.

Cons: WiFi at the room; the refrigerator didn’t work properly; the breakfast although good quality, the cooking service (omelette, fried egg, etc) was under expectation according to the level of the buffet. Finally we paid for a room with balcony but was nothing special and because it was not cover we cannot use due to the wind and not intimacy

Pros: The Location is just great! Perfect for exploring but as soon as you get into the Riad its really calm and quiet. They also were very sweet, Always asking us if we enjoy our stay or need anything, when we arrived in the evening. We really enjoyed the Riad and essaouira!

Pros: The hospitality of the staff was extraordinary. Immediately I felt very well in this riad. It’s located in a perfect spot, close to everywhere. It’s beautiful inside and one can feel relaxed sitting in the main hall among lovely plants and listening to some chilling music playing in the background.

Cons: I did not mind, but my friend did not like that there was an open window between our bathroom and the hall which let all the noises out to the hall. He said he did not feel comfortable. But like I said before, for me it was totally fine.

Pros: I took a long time choosing a place to stay in Essaouira, between beach or Medina, luxury or traditional. This was the perfect choice. Palazzo Desdemona is both stylish and comfortable, spacious yet intimate. I was traveling with my 15yr old son; we wanted our own space, whilst still being able to chat if we wanted. Rm 11 meant we had a floor each. The staff were welcoming and warm, the location perfect.

Cons: Yes the pillows and towels could have been more fluffy but the rest was all so spacious, clean, stylish and comfortable, the less than perfect towels made for a more beachcomber vibe.

Pros: Positive points: the building is stately, quite beautiful. THE SITUATION IS VERY GOOD, at the entrance to the medina. The room, suite with two rooms, pretty cool, the comfortable bed and the bathroom well achieved and cozy the breakfast very well served and plentiful. The reception staff is very polite.

Cons: Bad points: the breakfast did not start at the time because the staff had not arrived. some walls of the room were unoccupied, the paint was falling, the bathroom door does not close and in general the doors, although beautiful do not serve to close properly. A little bit expensive.

Pros: Location was great - 5 minute walk from Supratours Bus Station and right next to the main promenade & Médina. The price included breakfast which was relatively good.

Cons: On first glance our suite was pleasant enough but upon closer inspection, there were certain aspects that didn’t sit well with me. Our bed had a white canopy draped over it which looked lovely, but once we were in bed we noticed a lot of unusual stains both on the top and sides of the fabric. There was no shower curtain over the bathtub which I usually wouldn’t have minded but it was near enough impossible to shower without drenching the floor with water. In the evening when we closed the balcony doors we noticed a lingering smell of urine around the suite which obviously isn’t great. The cherry on the cake though was waking up to a cockroach in the bathroom the morning after which prompted a quick checkout. Essaouira was great but unfortunately I’ll be staying elsewhere if we come back.

Cons: services were so bad, I do not know what is the exact problem, the cashier charged more than 1000 DHS extra payment from my bank card without any explanation and excuse after I found it and ask him for recalculating the payment. the second problem, we booked 3 rooms with pool view and paid the charges, but the hotel provided us with 3 rooms with garden view.

Pros: Good buffet breakfast spread, comfortable bed. The pool is large and has nice sun loungers and beds to relax on.

Cons: Because of the high winds in the summer, it is very difficult to sit and enjoy being by the pool, which is why we chose this hotel, and then it is located quite far from anything going on in the town and restaurants. If travelling in July and August, I would recommend staying in Essaouira town instead in a riad. The level of service was not five star, as the rating suggests - staff were pleasant but not particularly accommodating, and our room keys lost their charge every day which was very annoying as we kept being locked out of our room.

Cons: Dear Hotel Director : While having my Lunch before my departure on 25/04/2018, I came down to reception and I told them that I would ordered my lunch at the bar, went to room grab my stuff which all was ready and come down to check out. As soon as I set down at a table at the bar a female who checked me out later called the bar to make sure i am at the bar and probably she thought I lied to her ( what an irresponsible disgusting business behavior of hers, shame on her, she made me and other things to never come back to Atlas and i will try Sofitel next time). I heard the female bartender telling her out loud and i quote her: “yes he is here and he requested lunch”. I stood up and told the bartender a man that I will leave to check out and come back to eat while my food is being prepared. I checked out immediately in 5 Mins and came back to the bar. While I was at my table I hear all kinds of rumors, mocking and loud noises from the piano area every now and then, complete disturbance of my lunch by the Le Seven manager and the bar staff. I ate so fast just to leave that bar. I demanded my check from a server who seemed just got in to the bar and he was quick to bring my check and i signed it with my credit card and i put cash tip on the table and left running away from a savage bar environment (sorry that was the feeling that bar gave me by its staff and manager). I am not going to tolerate this and i will not recommencer your hotel if asked only, because of the horrific experience I had at your hotel . It was not the first time I came to your hotel and I had good impression before I came this time. The facts I indicated above made a complete disappointment from some of your staff not all. As we say you have not only one bad apple there but couple. Thank you for your time, A.B

Pros: Atlas upgraded us to a sea view suite as it was our honeymoon- unexpected and very kind of them. The room was huge and stunning.
