Pros: Clean vehicle, drop off was efficient.
Cons: We got there just a bit early for pick up, due to our flight landing early. We were told they didn’t have the mid-size SUV we had rented because they didn’t have enough vehicles. We were steered to an upscale SUV, for the price of a standard size SUV, and felt rushed thru the process, leaving us little option. The vehicle was nice, but cost is nearly $30 more/day than we had planned on.
Cons: 60 people in line to pick up. Never got the vehicle
Pros: the car was okay.
Cons: I was told at the pickup counter when I prepaid for gas that I would be pore-rated for any leftover gas in the tank when I returned the car but when I dropped it off at SFO was told they wouldn't honor that.
Cons: Short on employees

Pros: Vehicle had great features and pickup and drop off was super easy.
Cons: My bill was extremely confusing. They sent me a second bill after drop off with a ton of extra fees after I already prepaid for everything. The car had bugs all over the windshield, dents all over the thing, paperwork with personal info from the last person who rented it for etc.
Cons: Was unable to pick up the car due to an extremely long line (2 hour wait) at the Thrifty pickup counter.
Cons: Pre-paid for a car. Arrived on Phoenix to a line with at least 250 people waiting. Line did not move and am still waiting for my refund. This seriously impacted my trip and cost me a lot of money to remedy. This experience was awful
Pros: Car was dirty and not what our family ordered. Very uncomfortable for a family of 7
Cons: You could have given us the Yukon that we ordered and not the tin can.
Pros: After 4.5 hours waiting in line I finally got a car.
Cons: Service. We waited well over 4 hours in line and we were told that this has been the norm since late 2020. No apologies. The closest to an apology was if you rented directly from us we could have offered you a refund. Do not rent from Dollar, Thrift or Hertz at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. You will be sorry.

Cons: Over 3 hour wait for a car and many had a much longer wait than us. Price was ultimately higher than quoted. Car that was ordered was not available.

Cons: Well they could have had a car instead of running out and leaving us stranded only to come back the next morning to wait for 2 HOURS and no discount or reimbursement.
Pros: Staff was good under the circumstances
Cons: Waited in line for almost 4 hours to get my reserved car. Pickup at 1:00 and didn't get it until 4:00
Cons: Actually having a car available to pick up. Maybe sending me a text that you had oversold your vehicles so I didn’t waste almost an hour at midnight getting to the rental facility. It was really a poor experience and showed that Thrifty will probably go the way of the dinosaur. Maybe the exec team that’s investing in surveys should catch a clue. .
Cons: it was a 3&1/2 hour wait just to get to the counter, then another hour wait downstairs to get the car, this it totally unacceptable and inexcusable . we had to go to another agency and pay $500 (for 3 days) to get a car to meet a commitment we had. I am filing a claim with thrifty car rental to get a refund.
Pros: Car was as expected.
Cons: Felt nickel and dimed. Pick up line was very long - we waited almost 1 hour at PHX, since Thrifty was sharing service with Dollar. Thrifty charged $13 per day for my spouse to also drive, an unexpected addition since most other companies do not charge for spouse. That made the rental more expensive with worse service. Booking through Kayak directed billing through Rentalcars.com. That was not helpful as they do not share info with Thrifty so I had to input again at rental counter. They were in the way rather than facilitating. Next time I will book thru auto rental directly and look for hidden costs.
Cons: Waited in line an hour (at 10:pm) at the counter. Got my arm twisted to upgrade, but declined. Got the upgrade anyway, because they had no other cars. Received bill by email and full charge put on card, but I had already pre-paid part of the rental.
Cons: Not having 100 customers ahead of us in line at the counter. We had to rent from someone else.
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: 1) They didn't have the car I'd requested or anything similar. 2) Car was dirty. They used the same dirty rag to wipe windows (which were smeared and hard to see thru) Crumbs were not fully vacuumed. Seats had dirt spots that could easily have been wiped off. 3) POOR signs. There was an exit sign pointing me to drive over road spikes. They had a stop sign... This was apparently for employees to bring in cars. They should have had a "do not enter sign" as well as a gate to prevent the confusion. When I mistakenly drove over the spikes, it sounded like this happens OFTEN. :(
Pros: The person at the counter did not pressure me into getting ripped off by insurance or gas
Cons: When I went to leave the lot, they had to take my keys from me because the barcode in the car was not legible. When I went to drop it off at the end, there was only one person working there, and he said to just leave the car behind.
Cons: I asked now to have the coverage on the car as I already had insurance to cover me for collision and theft. They didn’t remove it from my fees and customer service said they couldn’t take it off since it was already finalized.
Cons: A 3 hour wait to pick up a rental car seems quite excessive in today’s world of technology.
Cons: We had to wait in a 2.5 hour line to pick up our car at PHX airport, despite having a reservation well in advance. That would have been a real problem if our travel plans were not flexible. There were only 2 or 3 agents assisting customers at a counter that had 7 stations. No other car rental agency at the airport had a line. Everyone else in line at Thrifty had a reservation, and most through Priceline or similar service, so they had already paid for at least part of their rental and couldn't cancel and find a car through another agency. Thrifty knew in advance the number of customers picking up cars at that time (via the reservation system), but did not sufficiently staff their service counter to accommodate those customers. Will never reserve a car at Thrifty, or through Priceline, again.
Cons: I didn't even pick up the car. The line was over a 2 hr wait, wrapped all the way across the multi car rental lobby. I was ridiculous. I rented a car from the company next to it and just took the loss.
Pros: Line at airport to pick up our car was over 2 1/2 hours long with no assurance they would have cars if we had waited. Went to Budget and rented from them
Cons: Having sufficient staff to handle reservations with a better check in process.

Cons: Stood 3 hours in line to get a car and there were at least 100 people in lined behind us. There were 6 cars left in the lot when we finally got a car. They made me pay more than what the Kayak said I would owe at the counter. We didn’t even get the size of car I paid for. Horrible experience. Will never use Thrifty again. While standing in line, I heard a guy say they had waited 5 hours for a car the day before and never got one. And then had to proceed to wait another 2-3 hours to get one the day were we were there.
Pros: 28 years of business travel and it never has been worse. 4 hours of waiting in a line. Unwillingness by Priceline to modify the reservation slightly to deal with the horribly circumstance. Was forced to pay the cost of the rental but not be able to take the car so had to get a second car from another rental company while the one we paid for sat paid for and unused because Priceline had a “policy” not to change the first name on the reservation. Infuriating.
Cons: Allow circumstantial changes to the reservation and not allow so many reservations that 250 people were in line to get a car.
Pros: No mechanical issues
Cons: Waited 2 hrs for pick up with a reservation. Car was not cleaned and still had garbage from previous renter.
Cons: All other agencies were sold out of cars, the line was out the door for at least an hour. I took an Uber, and want a refund for what was paid
Cons: The 2+ hour line / wait to pickup my car was longer than my flight from Denver and was the longest line I've ever been in for anything in my life. This is a terrible experience that I will be telling everyone about for the rest of my life.
