Pros: Paulo demonstrated excellent customer service skills with every guest. He was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that everybody had a nice stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I stayed 5 nights, mainly to go to the annual Scooter Rally. Breakfast was very good, with a wide choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit juices and fresh fruit being available. The cooked breakfast option could be "customized" allowing for a wide choice. I'd booked as for a single room but for no extra charge was put in a decent sized comfortable double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided along with a small fridge and bottle of fresh milk and a half litre of mineral water, both of which were replaced daily. The landlord was friendly and very helpful, giving advice on places to visit and good places to eat and drink as well as discount vouchers etc. The car park seemed big enough for about 8 cars and there was street parking available just outside the B and B. Plenty of room to park scooters.
Cons: Nothing.

4,7 Okay
Pros: This B&B is nice enough for a short stay with friendly staff and a good breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extras in the room. The bar is reasonably priced and our stay was comfortable overall.
Cons: The Kenbury is in need of refurbishment. The bathrooms are too small and very outdated. The common areas are clean but have old and outdated furniture in it. New carpets and some fresh wallpaper will make this place a lot more inviting.

Pros: The staff were really lovely, accomodating and hard working. The hotel is quite large and beautiful inside, with a sweet little garden overlooking the sea. This was perfect for us during the day while our 3 year old napped or while he played just outside. We stayed in room 17, which opened directly onto the garden.
Cons: The bed, although very large, was broken down and uncomfortable. My husband found the floor easier to sleep on, and I woke up both mornings with a headache and feeling like I had been punched in the back. We had our 3-year old with us who goes to sleep at 830pm. The acoustics of the old building, and our location near the front door, meant we could everyone who entered and left, plus everyone in the back garden, plus there was live music in the hotel bar next to us. Its never easy with old English houses, but if you are a family - don't take the room with access to the garden if you intend you sleep.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The frienlyness of the hosts, and helpfullness of all the staff, one is made to fee so welcom, and nothing is too much trouble. I can't fault this hotel in any way, it is hard work and dedication that makes it a happy place. The breakfast is excelent, as is the views from the windows whilst you eat. The walks along the beach are good and plenty of sand and amusmens for the children
Cons: Some up dating will take place over the winter, that will take care of some difficult cleaning jobs.

Pros: The breakfast was cooked beautifully, there was ample choice and as much as you wanted. The bedroom was nicely furnished and decorated, with our on suite bathroom and bed was super comfy. The location was easy to find with ample on-site parking, close to the cliff top path ,with walks down to the beach. The hosts/owners were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome by Nigel and Sharon, made us feel at home immediately. Room spotlessly clean and fresh, tastefully decorated, very comfortable beds, nice crisp white bedding. There’s a lounge where you can make yourself a drink (good selection) hot or cold, plus some home made cakes (baked by Sharon) should you fancy one - for which there’s an honesty box for a donation. Also a fridge with bottles of cold water should you wish to purchase. Nice selection of breakfast items, including croissants, and numerous locally produced jams, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, fruit juice, not to mention full English breakfast which was very good.
Cons: The scrambled eggs.

Pros: The location was excellent and Nigel and Sharon were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was very good indeed with lots of choice. There was an issue with our shower on the first evening which was sorted out without delay - we were very impressed with how that was dealt with. We were made to feel extremely welcome and we would recommend a stay at the Royson!
Cons: Our room felt slightly small for the two of us but this wasn't a big problem - I think we booked the last room available!

Pros: Very friendly and very welcoming. Made you feel at home.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and gave us helpful information about local attractions. The guest house is very family friendly with games room for children and colouring book in the room. The room was very comfortable with great attention to detail including fan and cotton blanket for summer. Cooked breakfast was generous and delicious. Would highly recommend this B&B / guest house.
Cons: Only one drawback was that the owners both smoke and whilst they don’t smoke indoors at all, the entrance does smell of smoke (to a non-smoker), and so do the owners themselves which is a real pity as they have taken great care to make the guest house beautiful and comfortable.

Pros: Breakfast good .. facilities good for children.
Cons: Unwelcoming reception staff, miserable and unsmiling. Waiting restaurant staff excellent. Cleaning sloppy ie screwing up pyjamas and not folding. Badly vacuumed rooms. Even tho we gave prior warning of dietary requirements, no extra effort was made...

Cons: Terrible smell from flood in pool room
4,0 Okay
Pros: We liked only the swimming pool and the kids playing area.

7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great, facilities for the children are excellent, location for walking into town excellent, gorgeous garden and fabulous views. Would definitely go back!
Cons: Room amenities are very basic but it's clean
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Not so good for no kids travellers Our room was stuffy and cleanliness wasn't good
Cons: Cleanliness wasn't good Staff weren't responsive Breakfast was basic - not much choice unless you want cooked food
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location of the hotel was very good. Situated on cliff top with great views of the sea and coastline. Close to town and shops. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice and all well prepared and presented. Ample off street parking.
Cons: The general décor of the Hotel was poor. The foyer and grand staircase could be beautiful but it had just been painted over with white paint with patches of red flock wallpaper and red carpet. Our room was very basic - small TV and poor shower. The bed was small and the mattress had seen better days. The covings were festooned with cobwebs and we even saw a snail -trail on the corridor carpet. The carpark contained planters full of weeds, old traffic cones and discarded pop cans. We had expected so much more from this Hotel and had paid well over our normal budget for a three night stay. Very disappointing really.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful friendly staff. Very relaxing. Pool area and garden very pleasant. Breakfast good choices, very good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food. Great facilities. Lovely staff.
Cons: Made it clearer that the indoor pool is in the next door hotel
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location is great but property getting a bit run down. First night was very uncomfortable with a very hot room and as it was fully booked they would not change us to another room until the second night. Very pricey for what was offered. It was our second stay but we will look into another property for next time as this time our stay was not comfortable at all due to the room allocation.
Cons: The room and the state of the property, getting run down.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and fab staff
Cons: The double bed was a very small double

Pros: Was really bad
Cons: Everything
7,5 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff when present, I also liked the flexibility. Everything they said would be there was there. Good value for money.
Cons: It's definitely a budget option but for work, fine. Receptionist on arrival assured me 24h reception but there was no one there to check me out, but I guess it was pretty early (6.30). No carpet in my corridor so bring earplugs. Everything dated looking and basic but a good option for a cheap and cheerful stay, I'd go back.
7,5 Good
Pros: We only read the shocking reviews while on the ferry. Therefore I was prepared for anything. In fact, the staff were great. They gave us a new room, fixed the toilet seat when it broke & were helpful at all times. The bed was comfy and the shower had good hot water at all times. Breakfast was promptly served and rather nice. There was a great atmosphere in the bar in the evening- even though there was very little choice of drink available. We had some good swims in the pool. The hotel is clearly having big problems- we decided to enjoy the saga. Had a good time.
Cons: It’s sad to see the hotel so run down. I guess it’s glory days were a good 30 years ago. I think they are trying to improve. Some inexpensive things would help. Lightbulbs/lampshades. Holes fixed . The vast large breakfast room with no carpet gives a bad (& noisy) impression. Tablecloths would make it less austere. I hope it picks up for the sake of the staff.
6,3 Good
Cons: Very minimalistic. The bed sheets were not very clean.
6,3 Good
Pros: Inside pool very good ,
Cons: Room carpet very bad, room need painting , windows dirty and not in best condition , when you walk to hotel throw main entrance not very great smell
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly. Cooked breakfast was good.
Cons: Very disappointed that the pool wasn't open. Milk and tea was never topped up. Room was only cleaned one of the days I stayed there. Dirty cups were not replaced. The photos that were on the website were much better than what I see in the hotel. I was very disappointed in the whole experience. Also no entertainment on any of the nights I was there. I had to go to another hotel to find that.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The location wasn't bad.
