8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were especially helpful and knowledgeable.
Cons: Tired shower room facilities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, very large and tasteful room for the money.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location near train station, restaurants and the important sites in Nimes. Spacious comfortable room with great AC which was appreciated during the extreme heat wave.
Cons: Breakfast was skimpy even for a Continental Breakfast. Also there is no one at the desk from about 8:00pm til 7:30am. Need to use a code to get back in hotel after that. Also the shower pole is pretty bad, it's about 4feet tall, very awkward to use and with the high bathtub ledge very dangerous to get in and out.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good value, staff, Andrew and Karen easy going, helpful, accommodating and easy to get along with. Okay Breakfast, good bicycle stil storage
Cons: Feels slightly dated, although we assume this is reflected in price
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel which proved good value for money. Both owners were very welcoming and informative with well put together written info as to how to get to the off street parking garage and how to make best use of the facilities in the room. Good recommendations given as to the restaurants nearby which proved useful, given our stay was on a Sunday. (We went to the Les Magnolias which was really good).
Cons: Nothing to mention.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant, warm, just the right degree of friendliness. Excellent breakfasts.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Large airy room. Central location. Helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Reading light by bed very dim.
7,5 Good
Cons: I had great difficulty finding the hotel by car. The hotel is in a pedestrianised area and we eventually found an underground car park and had to find hotel on foot. It would have been easy and most helpful to have been advised about this in advance, perhaps giving the name of the nearest car park and directions for walking to hotel.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly. Location. Altogether very good
Cons: Nothing
6,7 Good
Pros: Breakfast good. Location excellent Friendly staff good value for money
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is near to many atractions, the receptionist was excellent. Very nice rooms
Cons: I rented a car and i didnt know that the hotel is in a pedestrian part of the town...so...after driving around trying to get there...we had to park in a public parking (20 eur less than 24 hours). Also no shower curtain...only baths
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Located at the very city centre, right near the Arena and just 10 minutes walk from the Gare. Rooms are comfortable enough. The personnel was helpful and friendly they helped to get the luggage upstairs. Breakfast was tasty.
Cons: Rooms require renovation. The reality doesn't match the expectations created by the pictures. WiFi needs to be much more faster and stable. Important to know: there is no elevator (hotel located in old building) and no parking (historical centre).
Le Pré Galoffre - Nimes - Building
6
8,5 Excellent (816 reviews)
R1 641+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Le Pré Galoffre in Nîmes (Costières), you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Nîmes Museum of Natural History and Prehistory and Costieres Stadium. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely setting, set back off a busy road with lots of trees for shady parking. Staff were very sweet and helpful. 2 swimming pools, rooms were quiet, bed linen was lovely. Tiny mini bars in rooms allow for storage of bottled water. Decor is cool, and restful. The 15-20 minute drive into "old" Nimes was straightforward.
Cons: Finding the place wasn't easy. Car navigation system could have used some coordinates. And the signs for the property actually read Mas Le Pré Galoffre (not Hotel - a tiny point, but when you're hunting in a foreign country the fine details matter!) Save your money on the breakfast - the overall selection was very poor (and swarming with flies) and at EUR 13 per person, you'd be better off to find a coffee shop for fresh fruit juice (rather than carton), fresh pastries and properly ripened fruit. The fine print for the booking reveals a surcharge for pets - its EUR 15 per animal per night (!) which quickly bumps up the overall cost of your stay. If you have a lot of luggage, be mindful you'll be carrying it about 100m over a heavily pebbled drive - you won't want to break your suitcase wheels on that! The glass shower screen is tiny - so be prepared for some gymnastics to shower without flooding the floor.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Grounds and buildings are beautiful and staff extremely friendly. Room lovely and very comfy bed.
Cons: Bathroom a little bit dated and food menu a bit tasteless despite being set in an amazing terrace.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had to check in late for some unavoidable reason and the staff was very accommodative to receive us a bit later in the night. Also they did remind us of a back pack which was left behind during checkout. Very courteous and helpful staff.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A delightful building set in the French countryside but just a stones throw from historic Names. A very restful place with a calming atmosphere. Very helpful staff, I would certainly recommend staying here.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting, close to Nimes, pleasant surroundings, quiet, relaxed, nice and comfortable rooms with small fridge. We were given two rooms at the price of a family one as they were out of family rooms.
Cons: We were greeted quite unpersonally and without information (wifi, breakfast) and that always makes you feel less welcome even if this is a nice hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The loft we stayed in was perfect. Decorated to a high standard with extremely comfortable beds. The pool was a great place to relax after travelling in the morning and for a wonderful poolside breakfast the next day. The staff on duty couldn’t have been more helpful.
Cons: No faults with the hotel at all.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The property was charming. The staff attentive and accommodating. We arrived late and they had run out of the main course for dinner and offered us a nice salad and reduced the price of the meal.
Cons: The internet was not working. The shower glass wall was not wide enough to operate the shower head attached to the wall without water going everywhere. We used the removable hand held shower head to wash. It was fine. We had a family room with two twin beds in the mezzanine. A nightlight to light the way down the spiral staircase would be useful. We left the bathroom light on with the door ajar as a substitute.
4,5 Okay
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Likely to make up for the hotel's shortcomings.
Cons: Tiny, cheaply finished rooms. Rooms stripped of basics (soap/waste bins). Feels like a cheap motel. 20-minute drive from Nîmes proper. Pool tiny and dirty. Understaffed. Food service on a porch only. For those whose prime concern is cost; no joy otherwise.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful and stylish place. All personal were very friendly, despite I don’t speak french
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional ambiance. Lovely decor. Friendly staff.
Cons: Lighting in bedroom.
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice but small room. Beautiful grounds
Cons: Remote. Restaurant closed on weekend
7,5 Good
Pros: Small little hotel
Cons: Bathroom shower

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Overall, the Ibis Styles lobby and rooms were relatively small and simple, but clean, comfortable and including all the necessities. Hotel is an easy walk to the Nimes Gare Center (train station), and to the City Center. The hotel staff was courteous, friendly and helpful, despite my speaking very little French. Would recommend Ibis Styles to anyone looking for a clean, secure, and comfortable place to stay for a reasonable price.
Cons: For the price, not a thing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of space in room for travel. Beds generous and very comfortable - clean crisp sheets. Bathroom excellent - well furnished with amazing drench shower. Eco toiletries really nice & fresh - hair has felt amazing & I usually use Aveda. Breakfast very relaxed with generous selection of products. Croissants nice and warm and very buttery. Nicer than recent 5 star hotels I have recently stayed - changed my opinion of "budget" to "great value".
Cons: Larger hand towels as I tend to use one as a turban to dry my hair. Nit picking really.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location.Friendly&helpful staff.Comfortable bed.Good,clean bathroom facilities.Good breakfast
Cons: We can find no fault with our stay
7,5 Good
Pros: The bed was very very comfy. Unfortunately we could not stay longer

Cons: View
9,7 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Styles for 3 nights in December. We thought it was great. The hotel is right behind the train station, which was great for us, as we were using the train for transport. A short walk through the train station and diwn a picturesque walkway got us right to the middle if the old town. The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations for meals. Breakfast was included and snacks were available all day and also included in the rate. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The rooms are great! The only negative is they they are a bit small and a little dark. But, the space is used very well and it was perfect for what we wanted to do. Great value for the money!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy. Air con is a bonus! Lovely staff, who gave us recommendations for everything. Would love to return in the near future. Clean and friendly, more than we expected
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast and the perfect location - especially if you are arriving by train.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location next to railway station on main line from Paris to Barcelona. Also close to Nimes town centre and Arena. Breakfast simple but adequate. Evening meals a bonus, especially on weekdays - the 'plat du jour' was brilliant and meant that we didn't have to go hunting for a restaurant in town.
Cons: A basic hotel but a step up from basic Ibis or Ibis budget, although still very good value. This one was very well run. Not much to dislike unless you're very picky.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location. Breakfast was good. The free hot drinks was excellent.
Cons: Nothing

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness and staff friendliness
5,4 Okay
Pros: Staff and quality of food.
Cons: Poor location in relation to Nimes. Hotel us dated and is reflected in the quality of the rooms and bathrooms; the spa is also in need of refurbishment desperately.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great food. Lovely room
Cons: Bathroom needs sprucing up
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff. Very comfortable and clean rooms.
Cons: The roomservice option were too limited and the food did not taste good.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast good quality real fresh orange juice especially nice and young chef and waiting stafff very friendly and efficient
Cons: Everything else- rude front desk staff, no double bed as promised and no apology or attempt to rectify, uncomfortable bed, several items in bathroom broken or damaged, room service food very poor as extremely over cooked
5,0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff (most of the time)
Cons: 1. No lift working to the pool which meant walking across a road in a towelling dressing gown- to the amusement of people in reception. 2. No towels left at the pool by 19.00hours. 3. 30 minutes wait for an omelette to be cooked at breakfast was unacceptable-the explanation that ‘all the staff are students’ was ridiculous. All in all poor value for money. A hotel at this price should be able to do a lot better.
6,7 Good
Pros: Nice size room
Cons: Leaking taps bidet removed Food poor
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious well equipped room. The wedding we attended was had excellent food and service.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Initial check in. Front of house we’re dealing with our check in and another was clearly dealing with a complaint but our member of staff seemed to leave us and deal with the other problem. Not good customer service. However it was excellent in your restaurants.

This 4 Star hotel is actually very close to the many sites and listed monuments of the city that have witnessed 2000 years of history.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: this is an extremely congested area, finding the hotel was difficult and involved driving on a number of narrow streets. the parking lot was several block away and was a real nightmark for parking. i would not recommend staying here if you plan to gravel with anything larger than a scooter. in addition we were recommended to a terible and expensive restaurant, and the night staff did not speak any english. this was particularly difficult because we had trouble with our car rental and the staff was not able to help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This property is a gem in central Nîmes. Incredible place, beautiful setting, the room was spacious and clean, staff was great!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was central

Pros: The building structure is unique and attractive. Nice breakfast in the courtyard. Friendly staff.
Cons: The quality of the room was more 3-star, not 4-star.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was brilliant. Rooms are lovely and clean. Very comfy bed. Interesting building with beautiful period features. Staff are super helpful. Great location.

5,8 Okay
Pros: Lots of hot water.
Cons: No draught beer in bar. Bathroom grubby.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was only a 15 min walk (even for a tired 4yr old) to the center/train station but felt more like a small tucked away hotel you might find on a hillside somewhere. The courtyard/pool is stunning, with a really nice space for eating outside as well. The wind in Nîmes meant it never got too hot, but also meant the water in the pool was very very cold. The train to the beach at Grau du Roi (where the water is a bit warmer) took less than an hour and was only €1 each way. Great boulangerie across the street, plus a Carrefour just around the corner. The friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff really sets this hotel apart. I travel extensively for work and can only think of one other hotel with staff so helpful, and that was after staying at that hotel for a month, not just the few days I spent at L'Orangerie.
Cons: We stayed in two different rooms. The first was more expensive but a bit more shabby. Its shower room really needed updating. The next room we had booked was much more cheerful and fresh, and the bathroom was fine.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy place, 20 min walk to the city center, rooms were nice and tidy, excellent stuff and provided services. Lidl 4 minutes walk, closest bakery 10min walk. Great relaxation zone by the swimming pool! Definitely can recommend especially for families and couples.

Cons: No lift. A nice man carried my case for me.

Cons: Bathroom
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great continental breakfast. Very central location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent - right next to Maison carrée and Carré d’art and easy walk to Roman Arena and Beaux-arts museum and much more. Hotel in old building has much quirky style of it’s own. Despite age of building it is kept scrupulously clean. Good breakfast in quirkily decorated but intriguing conservatory looking out onto Arras Square Friendly helpful staff - really seemed to want to explain things. Good breakfast.
Cons: Some difficulties with finding entrance to underground parking which is right next to hotel. Parked in another park with same management and cost €21 overnight. Sounds of water passing through pipes, perhaps toilet flushes heard all night. Not loud but enough to be annoying. Think we should have shut corridor door to piping system that was opposite our room to perhaps lessen this. Restaurant unfortunately not open due to preparations for September Nîmes Ferias. Some untidiness and disruption in entranceway because of this too.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, a few minutes walk from the Arena, the "Forum" and the gardens (worth a visit in the late evening as well as during the day. The hotel fronts onto a lovely "square" one part of which is colonised by its open air restaurant. The place buzzes with locals and the food is really good. Interior design is quirky, but in an interesting way. There are vestiges of a much older building which add interest We spend several months a year in France and this is one of the best places we've stayed at
Cons: Nothing at all. Staff was great, restaurant service prompt and courteous
7,5 Good
Pros: Its location. It is the hot spot of the city
Cons: It is run down
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I’ve stayed there many times over the past 20 years. Different owners but it has kept its charm. AC is a welcome addition.
4,2 Okay
Cons: You can hear the plumbing of the whole hotel flushing in your room ! A fuckig nightmare to spleen
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very well located in the centre of town, close to and within walking distance of the main Nîmes sights. The room was large, cool and clean and although it faced the place d'Assass below, we weren't disturbed by the noise and dinners below. The hotel decoration was quirky, kind of Arte nouveau meets pop modern.
Cons: We parked in the public carpark below the Place d'Assas but didn't find out until we had hauled our luggage through the boiling hot carpark that it was possible to park close to the hotel and that there is a lift right next to the hotel entrance

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking area was very narrow, but at least we had a parking spot (extra cost)
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Wifi for to few devices...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A modern and comfortable hotel, part of a large French chain. The air-conditioning was a godsend in the record 43C heatwave. Location in the heart of the city excellent for the Roman arena and Greek temple.
Cons: The restaurant location in a large atrium lacked atmosphere.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location my room had an excellent view staff very helpful
Cons: Rooms whilst having everything you need were a bitt tired in need of more modern decor
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location right near the arena. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, quiet, comfortable room.
Cons: Could not get to hotel parking. Street in front was blocked and we did not know an alternate route to get to the hotel parking. had to park in nearby city underground garage which meant we have to drag our luggage up and down steps.
6,3 Good
Pros: The bar staff was extremely sweet and helpful. There wasn't much else that we liked besides the fact that the elevator to our room arrived quickly.
Cons: The front desk staff was unhelpful. There was no personnel to help with our luggage. There was no lift to the limited parking area. The parking structure was not regulated at all so that many cars took up two spaces. The gates would never open automatically - we had to call for the gate to be opened and the personnel was extremely rude on the phone and hung up instantly when we were simply asking to get out of the structure. It was a long wait to get in and out with our car. It was extremely difficult to move our luggage in and out of the hotel as well. Our hotel room key also kept deactivating when we did nothing wrong (it was not kept by a cellphone or other cards) so we had to take an extra 10 minutes to go all the way back down SIX FLOORS to get the key reactivated and then go all the way back up. We have enjoyed the previous hotels and personnel that we have experienced in France before we arrived at this hotel, and this hotel was an unfortunate exception.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Parking in the hotel car park was easy and reasonably priced. Reception was airy and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very central location, just across the esplanade to the Arena, 20 minute walk to the Jardins and Diana's temple and lots of bars and mid priced restaurants within easy walking distance. Pedestrianised immediate area so no real traffic noise. Tourist bus stop opposite hotel which did a circuit of the city, taking you to all the popular points of interest, but not in service when we were there due to road works. Air con in room was efficient and very welcome as it was baking hot when we were in Nimes. Nice bathroom, lovely toiletries and good hairdryer! Quiet room. Great coffee machine in breakfast room. Free refreshing welcome drink on arrival.
Cons: Breakfast was OK, very limited cooked food, basically just eggs, plenty of bready type things to eat, not worth the 16 euro price. View from bedroom was disappointing, overlooked block of flats and a concrete wall.
7,5 Good
Pros: Fabulous position. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Air con no very good Keys to room terrible. Had to ask for new key every time entering Check in/check very slow
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location
Cons: The parking places were small.
6,7 Good
Pros: Convenient location for Nimes centre. There were a few restaurants nearby.
Cons: When we arrived there was a sign saying that their carpark was full, so we had a horrendous time parking nearby. When we checked in we were told there was plenty of space in their carpark, they just hadnt bothered to remove the sign. We ended up paying for both carparks.

Pros: Taking advice, we upgraded to superior room and it exceeded our expectations- lovely spacious room, very comfortable bed, and so very quiet. Plenty of space for clothes and bathroom very clean. Staff were so very friendly and helpful, the place having a family feel. Plenty of choice for breakfast and it was available from 5:30 which was so helpful when the golfers had an early start.
Cons: If we wanted to be very picky- the bath was a bit slippery underfoot when taking a shower- a bit unsettling for we older folk.

Cons: Room rather small
9,6 Excellent

Pros: The location was great for us - a short distance off the motorway, yet it was also very quiet. It was not at all difficult to reach the centre of Nímes either. The beds were comfortable, room temperature was easy to regulate. The breakfast was excellent - a feast! The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The room was a little small for two people with suitcases, so there was not a lot of room for manouevre.

Pros: The receptionist at the hotel was very helpful and went out of his way to help us with parking. We stayed in a secure parking place as we had lots of luggage. The location of the hotel was good and it was an easy walk into Nimes to see many of the lovely sites. The Roman arena is in great condition and it and the other Roman remains are easy to access and see. The modern sculptures and the gardens are worth seeing.
Cons: Although it would seem that the reception area and perhaps the breakfast area have been recently refurbished the room we had and especially the bathroom and shower were much in need of refurbishment.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The patio was a lovely place to sit in the sun.
Cons: An extractor fan in the shower room would have been good.
6,7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice patio/terrace area
Cons: Bathroom left a lot to be desired. Broken shower, hot water took ages to come through.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel perfectly placed to explore Nimes. Lovely little courtyard garden-on the first floor! A perfect place to eat the very substantial breakfast. The undercover garage not only kept the car safe, it also kept it cool ready for our next day's drive. The owner/receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning worked brilliantly. A good find!
Cons: Could do with some "English" style strong tea!!

Cons: Beds were hard.
7,1 Good
Pros: Historic city centre in walking distance. No significant traffic during the night, quiet room.
Cons: The air conditioning was broken. My credit card was charged twice, card preauthorisation and upon my arrival. It took ten days and two interventions to get the transaction canceled.
8,8 Excellent

Cons: Breakfast average, not suited to Australian tastes.

7,9 Good
Pros: A warm welcome and helpful staff. Location was within walking distance to all the town centre. there was a lovely outside patio to spend some pleasant time on an evening.
Cons: The parking was a bit of a challenge with specific rules on where each car could be parked ! This meant a lot of manoeuvering.

7,7 Good
Pros: Location, opposite the railway and bus station. Cheap rates. Not a lot of services, but is good enough Relatively comfortable room
Cons: In comparison to other ibis budget, I missed a microwave for public use. Very, very slow water drainage in shower. Some nights, shower was more an alternance of hot and cold water than a mix. Internal building sounds, like doors closing, were more a problem than external soundproofing, for me well blocked by the window.

Cons: Room a bit sparse but good value for money.

Pros: Good location for arena, close enough to autoroute, spacious and modern.
Cons: Kitchen could have been better equipped - espresso cups only, for instance. No kettle either, just a filter coffee machine.
5,4 Okay
Pros: There was no breakfast offered.
Cons: The parking was horrible. The hotel shares a few places in a longer row of offices and shops. Fortunately we were able to utilize handicapped parking or we would have been out of luck.
