Cons: There was a terrible problem with noise late one night due to needed repairs. This should not have happened; an alternative should have been found., and conflict avoided.

Pros: The hotel is a gem. It is centrally located, very clean and the staff was amazing. They were friendly and helped us out with getting around the city. As soon as you walk in they make you feel welcomed. They greet you with a smile and a glass of authentic horchata or jamaica. Love it!! The evening guest services provides us with suggestions for excursions, which we took advantage of.
Cons: The restaurant buffett was a bit overpriced. It does provide a great view, so that's what you mainly pay for.

Pros: The rooms at the Zocalo Central are well accommodated and well maintained. The staff is phenomenally helpful and friendly, and the roof-top cafe has an unbelievable view of the national cathedral and central plaza below. For sightseeing purposes, one can't beat the location, which is merely steps away from the cathedral, Palacio Nacional, and the city's archeological site.

Pros: Best view of Zocalo, the front desk staff were very professional and accommodating. The free water bottles and apples were quite welcoming.
Cons: Rooftop restaurant did not have a bar, you have to order and sit on a table to drink. I paid the most expensive mojitos I ever had $24 dollars for two to be exact plus tip for the waiter. The room I had was tiny with a 1foot by two slim overhead window, quite claustrophobic for me... The breakfast buffet was $24 dollars, really! You walk next block to Restaurant El Popular and order their menus for less than $6.

Pros: well when I got there the hotel charged me for parking 15 dolars per day, the desk staff are only there for image because when you ask for something they always have a excuse to no do it, really poor service and PLEASE INCLUDE IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT THE PARKING IS CHARGED SEPARATELY. Pros: Once inside the room, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. You can feel safety with the service provided.
Cons: The check in computer system was always not working properly and even with the clercs were working hard there always was a long row of people waiting to be checked in. You would be lucky if you could check-in in less than 40 minutes. But there were a number of people claiming Someone else was already staying in the room you finally got. There was a day when more than ten people were overbooked and claiming for hours. The electric key was broken, sometimes it worked, but gets broken again, and usually you have to wait about 7-8 minutes for someone to come and open your room.

Pros: It was in a good location, the rooms were clean and the esthetics of the hotel were nice.
Cons: The service from check-in was horrible. The staff were pretentious and not helpful. They were not friendly and had an attitude of getting the job done at the very least effort. If asked to do something mundane, like giving you change for a bill, it was obvious they were irritated. We had issues with the ATM, which ended up eating up our ATM card and the staff said they were not responsible and didn’t offer any help; not even to call the bank in charge of the ATM. The elevators were really slow and the check in line was really long.

Cons: I could go on and on here.... WiFi practically non-existent!!! Water from faucet was brown Water was never left in my room - Front desk told me to call from my room with the request. Called at 10:30pm. Called again at 11:30 pm. Called again at midnight. Received one bottle of water at 12:30am!! No minibar, although some food for purchase showed up on my third day. No minifridge. Safe did not work. Note regarding to help yourself to one free coffee packet - but no packets were ever there. Very loud - people at night and construction during the day Very expensive for very mediocre room Front desk people were unknowledgeable about the hotel NO SPA or gym or anything - which is why I even stayed there. There was no information in room about anything the hotel offered. Super-slow elevators....that is a very LONG wait many times Very lame "lobby bar" Dark/dingy restaurant I would have left after the first night, but I had prepaid.

Pros: The hotel personnel is nice and the location is good
Cons: Internet is not working great. Being on a business trip I need it to work all the time. From time to time the connection is interrupted followed by the periods where I could not connect at all. Pros: Not very convenient to some parts of Mexico City a tourist/business traveler might like (such as Polanco, Lomas, etc. ) but very close to Alameda, Bellas Artes, and because it is on the Reforma Avenue a good launch pad.
Cons: This property is badly in need of an update. The plumbing is messed up -- our bathtub (but not sink or shower) ran brown water, I guess from the rust. The mattresses were quite old. TV was not flatscreen.

Pros: I found the value for this hotel to be amazing. There were several restaurants to choose from in the lobby plus the bar stayed open past 2am. I thought the segregated spa was a bit odd, but my wife and I were able to get an excellent 90-minute couples massage. The hotel is close to the main park where there are plenty of attractions. The staff was always able to accommodate me and they were super friendly. Even though I speak Spanish, I didn't need to as the staff was very fluent in English. I would stay here again.
Cons: I didn't like that the spa was segregated. I would like to have spent some time in the Jacuzzi with my wife, but that is not the case with the spa facility.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant buffet options. Great location. Really nice outdoor patio seating. 24 hour gym.
Cons: Room door to hallway had a noticeable gap under it. I could hear people in the hallway rather clearly, so I imagine they could also hear me. I was gone most of the day, and in the room alone on business so it didn't bother much. I imagine I would have felt very differently given other circumstances. Also, I'm not sure AC temp was just for show. The first night at 76*F felt almost the same as second night at 65*F

Pros: The hotel is excellent, the staff are super courteous and attentive. Nice fitness center, lobby bar, and great club lounge. Easy access to Starbucks for your morning latte. There is also a currency exchange onsite, as well as an ATM and business center. Good location, too.
Cons: The one thing missing, that is usually available in large hotels, is the basic gift shop. You know, the small shop that sells bandaids, candy bars, batteries, souvenirs, sodas, postcards. That would be a nice convenience to add.

Pros: nice hotel overall, clean, modern, great location for what I need it for.
Cons: Rooms seem to focus more on style than comfort...not that they aren't comfortable, but they are less comfortable than I would like. Having to pay for Wi-Fi is just dumb. It never makes sense to me that the nicer... aka more expensive...the hotel, the less is included. No free parking, no free continental breakfast, no wi-fi..it would be a good reason for me to not chose this hotel again.

Pros: I loved the location of the hotel. It was always very clean. The view from my room was fantastic!!
Cons: I didn't like that a room key was needed to be put in a slot to power your room. So if you were gone most of the day the AC was off.

Pros: The facilities at the hotel were modern and spacious. Breakfast selection was extensive. Hotel room was clean and beautifully decorated. Pool, bar and restaurant felt intimate at times.
Cons: The check-in process was shaky and we weren't allowed to check in until after 30 minutes after check in time because there wasn't a room available.

Pros: Updated, chic decor. Comfy bed. Good location. Staff is friendly.
Cons: General upkeep and maintenance. Room walls and door are thin - had to switch rooms because there was a kid running and crying outside in the early AM. Second room, the toilet bowl was leaking. Third room, which was an upgrade, the balcony door didn't lock and could easily be accessed by the adjoining room that shared the balcony if they wanted to risk maneuvering over the balcony separator.

Pros: Valentina Hotel is in a prime location between the US Consulate and the Angel de la Independencia in Mexico City. Transportation from and to the hotel is fast and easy. It is very close to historic sites and many good restaurants. The staff is courteous and kind. The room design was very modern, cheery and refreshing. It felt luxurious with a touch of youth and freshness. We specially appreciated the nice desk area for laptops.
Cons: My husband and I arrived there very tired and even a little sick from all the traveling. We wanted a hotel near the US Consulate, but we also expected a little bit more comfort. We would have liked a simple room service for coffee or tea since we were so tired (there wasn't). Also, a pamphlet or room menu with the cafeteria and buffet offerings and costs would have been useful. the rooms are not sound proof, since a lady woke us up with her loud International call at 2 am. Hotel Valentina is extremely practical for bussinesspeople, but definitely not for leisure or relaxing.

Pros: The breakfast buffet ($8 not included) was the best I have ever experienced and was available until 12:00 noon. The lobby and rooms were clean and modern. I noticed a gym, but I did not use. My room was large enough for sofa sitting for up to six. The bathroom and shower were large, and there were two toilets. Location is the biggest consideration: This may be one of the businest streets in town, at least in the Zona Rosa. There are many dance clubs and bars, especially gay, but all frequented by a mixed crowd. The street is alive with thousands on weekend nights with lots of street noise, but there was no street noise in my room. Many affordable places to eat within a few blocks. I highly recommend the hotel for the young or gay. Taxis always available outside, but there is a subway station just a few blocks away.
Cons: No one showed me how to turn on the light by the bed, adjust the heat, or turn on the hotel provided music. I would not recommend the hotel for the elderly.

Pros: My son and I were traveling to Mexico for a quick trip to see the sites. We loved the location of the hotel--close to the metro and close to good food and fun. The hotel staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was fresh with lots of yummy and healthy options. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
Cons: The electrical outlets could be closer to the bed. We bought an extension cord at a mercado so we could charge our phones and have them near our bed for calls and alarms.

Cons: On arrival, the hotel advised that they did not have my reservation. Shown the email confirmation, the desk representatives merely shrugged their shoulders and said they were booked up. FAIL

Pros: My gf loved this room because it was super bright with color and had lights around the bed even. Real sexy and more like a Jr suite. It was clean and nice and had all kinds of stuff around it.
Cons: It is in the gay area with the " Boy Bar " across the street and sex stores nearby. I was trying not to visualize all the butt pounding that probably went down in our room previously to us staying there. But there are a lot of fun lil bars that are normal nearby and it was safe. Don't drink in the streets though or the corrupt MX police will shake u down and steal all your money, watch, etc.

Pros: The room was extremely nice. It came with a couch, waterfall shower, comfortable bed, and everything was both clean and new. The location could not be better.
Cons: The front desk at first didn’t want to give me the reservation that I paid for. After going back and forth, they honored the reservation.
