Malos olores alrededor al hotel
Very helpful staff, though limited English proficiency. The hotel is near a train (Metro) station, which makes it easy to get around the city for 5pesos one-way.
Being nitpicky here...the cleaning staff starts going around a little too early for my liking. I think around 8:30 or so I they go around, While I had the do-not-disturb notice on my door, I could still hear them them knocking on nearby doors since they were so close.
long term stay of good and bad
Location was exceptional. Very accessible to all kinds of public transportation, fairly safe area except the back of the hotel (from outside). It needs more lighting and have a more friendlier appearance. Bellman/security very friendly some of them very knowledgeable, and the young lady that serves the food at the breakfast buffet really knows what the customer service business is all about. She has a great smile and everything you ask for she gets for you without hesitating. One of the best things at the hotel are the security cameras on every corner of the floors. Beds were very comfortable, I guess it depends on your preferences as far as mattresses since I saw bad bed reviews from this hotel before.
Staff for the most part don't know what they are doing during check in/out.they seem lost. I'll give the front desk manager the credits for their lack of customer service and old system to run the operation. The restaurant hostess keeps telling you that you have to pay for breakfast as soon as you enter the restaurant; they say its policy to remind the guest they have to pay even if they have seen you for two weeks straight or if you have a visitor (potential client) for breakfast. (Not the best way to greet a customer), also chairs are extremely dirty. Front desk charges you for lost key cards and they question you if you ask for extra keys; when if you go to a branded hotel you can loose 100 key cards and you won't pay a penny. If you want to exchange dollars at the hotel the pay you 10 pesos per dollar when if you go outside its 16 pesos per dollar. Basically they steal from you. Bad business practice! And lastly housekeeping don't dust rooms or deep clean bathrooms.

The hotel is very well located, near everything important in Mexico City downtown.
The Internet connection is lame and the staff surely didn't have the knowledge necessary to handle situations. The hotel needs to improve on this immediately.
The location of this hotel is excellent, very close to Zocalo and all the sightseeing sites! The first night we arrived after a very long flight, we were given a very small room on the 3-rd floor, very noisy, facing the main street! We could not sleep the entire night because of the noise! The bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom was smelly! The interior was old...and needed seriously refurbishment! The next morning after we complaint, we were given a much better room on the 1-st floor! It was totally different, clean, newly refurbished, it's like we moved to some other hotel! I guess it just depends on chance and luck! We would recommend this hotel, it's good value for money and the location is convenient!
exellent staff and customer service
some of the rooms dindt have ac.
It is perfectly located next to the Hidalgo Metro station and only a few blocks away from the Centro Historico.
Our bathroom continually smelled of sewer gases and got to the point where we didnt want to ener or use the bathroom anymore.
The hotel was clean and the stuff cleaned it every day and they were very nice.
The problem at the hotel was with the internet and not all the hotell staff could talk in english, so for buisness it is a big thing.
Great price for a hotel in the city center close to public transport.
Windows are all loose in the fittings. Tremendous noise is coming in. Carpets are not well rolled out. A lot out of date and little maintained.Bar was closed on most nights.
The rooms were very nice and comfortable, the location was good and it was fantastic value for money. However the staff could have been a little more friendly towards us.
swimming pool was very good.
The hotel was in a good locality although the tariff is very much affordable,
