Pros: The bedroom was beautufully decorated and the bed very comfortable. The food in the bar was tasty. The access to the hill fort makes it a great base for walks.

Pros: Great Spa and the staff couldn’t do enough for us!
4,0 Okay
Pros: Restaurant staff very courteous Reception staff curt and hostile need retraining They were exceptionally hostile to a family member on 2nd day of stay
Cons: Our bed in room very cramped in size for 2 not very large people. Would pass for a large single in USA. The salt room in the spa stinks of mould. Fearful to go in there. Seems like they give priority to day spa/ members users and not hotel guests. Menu not very healthy for a “spa”. Overall marketing misleading

7,0 Good
Pros: Fantastic location. Lovely building with lots of character. Staff were very friendly. Good idea to have a wellie wash and paw wash. It is very muddy out and about and it meant that we could clean our boots
Cons: Breakfast. If you burn the bread then dispose of it and start again rather than turn it over and serve it. It tastes burnt. I was hoping that the al la carte menu would be available and although the food from the bar menu was ok and the service was attentive it wasnt anything special .
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely one night stay
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast, lovely cosy bar area, really friendly accomodating staff, spacious rooms, comfortable bed
Cons: The room (attic suite) we had was rather cold even with the heating on (had to use the electric heater provided) and could do with a bit of update interior wise, but we did get a good deal price wise so wasn't too bothered :) think I might have been if I'd paid full price?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family atmosphere, everyone was friendly and helpful. Beautiful room, good breakfast. Fantastic location.
Cons: Nothing, everything was good
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Lovely big bath with plenty of hot water.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, with exceptional staff. Every member of staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Rooms were nice, beds comfortable, though possibly a little old as they dip either side but generally okay. If you have dogs this is by far the best place you could take them. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The beds are a but old and tired, though fairly comfortable, they probably could do with updating. If you are not keen on dogs, you would find it hard to stay here as there were dogs everywhere, though they were kept well controlled and did not bother other guest.
