Pros: Large bed, big bathroom with room for kit bags beside sink , 2 bedside lamps and friendly reception. If you are concerned about security this is Fort Knox- security codes for all access doors. Right next to famous pasteis de Belem so end of day or first thing in morning you can skip the obligatory lineup .

Cons: At least glasses to drink some water would be nice. Kattle and cups would be even nicer. And repair of the safe and the hole in the floor is highly recommended.

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located for Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, Torre de Belem and Paseis de Belem - so it is easy to beat the queues. There are many good museums in the area. The hotel is quiet and clean; the room we stayed was specious. The staff was helpful.

Cons: My wife has an injured leg and so the stairs up to the 1st floor bedrooms was a hindrance. A little expensive butI guess it was due to its location. Room a bit small but we had to move from our original larger room because bath was too high for wife to get into and out.

Cons: our plane was late so i informed the hostel that we might not make the check in time, it was agreed then to call them 10 minutes before we get there so someone can let us in...anyways, received a couple of phone calls from the hostel as the lady at reception didnt want to wait any longer as she had an early start and check in closes at 11. then nobody picked up the phone anymore when we got a little lost...when we finally got there they told us to pay for the stay - but it was already paid. the guys at reception then had to call the manager lady to get this resolved (tbh no idea where they suddenly came from)...it wasnt a great start to a weekend in lisboa, we choose this place only due to the proximity of a festival location...
