Pros: Everything about this hotel is fabulous! From the location to the decor everything is thoughtful and inviting. It was such a great surprise to us the breakfast was served each day, it was made so well and I even got ideas for how I want to make breakfast at home!

Pros: They upgraded my room to a suite... was so happy about this
Cons: No room service
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The hotel decor in this hotel is really well designed. The lobby, the lounge, the restaurant & the rooms were all super cool. We loved it! We stayed in a really great room. It had a living room with a pullout that our 2 year old slept on & a great big king in the bedroom. The bathroom had a really cool clawfoot tub & big shower. I loved the decor in our room! Blackout curtains were great as we were jet lagged & the sun doesn't go down in the Summer iceland. Breakfast was yummy & the coffee was excellent. Everything is VERY expensive in Iceland but this hotel was pricey even for Iceland. Luckily we had a free night from hotels.com do we only had to pay the taxes. I'm very impressed with Canopy by Hilton though & hope to stay in another one of their hotels.
Cons: It was a bit noisy as our room was right on the busy road side of the hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It is a lovely hotel in a great position. it is modern yet cosy and has a very relaxed atmosphere!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The atmosphere was very cosy and the location was perfect! I loved the hotels attention to detail. They offer records and a record player to borrow and use in your room, thought that was a nice touch.
Cons: Nothing it was perfect
9,6 Excellent
Pros: the staff are super friendly and helpful. they prepared our breakfast for us to take away when found our flight too early.
Cons: 1.8km distance to bus terminal, a little bit far but very close to the bar and night life. we took taxi first day to terminal and spent abt 13Euros and next day we walked.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a lovely feel. It’s in a great location too. The rooms are finished to a high spec and are big enough to not trip over who your stay with
Cons: The lack of allergy labelling on the breakfast buffet. I can’t eat gluten. We asked whether the breakfast buffet would have options for me. We were told it did and when we arrived for breakfast the serving staff knew about my allergy but in practice it was a case of using common sense to guess at sage foods given the risk of cross contamination.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful knowledgeable staff
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great. From the atmosphere and decorations to the people working there. The front desk staff were amazing and friendly. They were always ready to help and had a smile on there faces everyday. We got a family sized room for two people just because I heard the rooms might be smaller. However the room was bigger than I expected including the bathroom. You hear that the shower doors fold to make more room. However even extended there is enough room for the other person to use the sink or get ready. The hotel gives you a cell phone with data included, which was honestly amazing. I made the phone into a wifi hotspot and was able to use my own cell phone throughout the trip. Just bring portable charger with you as the phone battery dies quickly this way. The hotel is also located on the main strip and perfect walking distance from restaurants and bars. But a few blocks down so you don't hear the noise of the bars at night. We never tried the breakfast downstairs as we always had say trips planned in the mornings. There is a bakery down the street that is open early I can't remember the name of it but the front desk told us about it. Big enough to sit down and have breakfast, but gets packed as well so give yourself enough time if you have morning plans. The room does come with a pot to make your own hot tea and instant coffee if you are in a rush.
Cons: Hard to say what I did not like about the hotel. The only thing I can think of is that the room gets very warm and with no thermostat to control temperature. We opened the window everyday however it only opens a tiny crack and doesn't stay open on its own. Probably from the wind outside. Just bring light pajamas with you and you will be fine.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: - clean rooms and modern furniture. - good facilities, including free use of spa and sauna. - great location. - loccataine bathroom soap and hair products to use. - free soda water and tea/coffee.
Cons: - The walls are extremely thin and the noise from other rooms is very loud. We were on level 2 and heard noise all night from the room above and outdoor street. Had a poor night sleep. - no minifridge. - breakfast is not included and no option to book prior to booking the Hotel. 2500ISK each for breakfast each day was too steep for us as Australians.
7,0 Good
Pros: Good location, modern
Cons: People next to us were slamming doors all night! The breakfast staff weren’t the friendliest.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and friendly staff!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location and view.
Cons: Smal room, not much storage room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Clean rooms, helpful staff, nice amenities, fabulous location. Stayed here with a few friends for our four day visit. The location is very central to great shopping, restaurants and bus stop for excursions, Highly recommend and will definitely return.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel. Modern, totally clean, perfect location, and helpful staff who made great recommendations for tours. We booked the sea view, which wasn’t so much useful for the sea because we came and left in the dark, but was handy for northern lights lookout. We didn’t see any, but were glad we could check every so often without leaving our room.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was the best. So close to everything and really handy when catching a bus. It was clean, and the room was quiet and I slept well. The robes in the room were a nice touch as was the personal safe. The radiator kept the room nice and warm, and the comforters on the bed were nice. They give you a cell phone to use during your stay to make local phone calls and check the internet. The breakfast choices were good and the food tasted good. The items were regularly stocked and the fruit was fresh. Tables were cleared quickly. There was a bar and restaurant onsite (which I didn't visit), but it looked nice.
Cons: The rooms were extremely dark, even with all the lights on. I went in the winter so it was dark outside for the majority of the day. Coffee and tea service in the room was not always replenished daily. One morning, I overheard one of the servers at breakfast reprimand 3 guests at the next table for "wasting food". I was shocked she would say something like this. Apparently there was a sweet roll in the center of their table that they didn't eat, and she went on and on about not taking things that wouldn't be eaten. This was unacceptable in my opinion. The clerk at the check-in, Olga, was less than friendly and talked about other guests to the other clerk when I was within ear-shot. Then, when she was in the middle of helping me another time, she stopped helping me and started taking care of new guests. Not professional at all. Overall, the hotel was OK. A bit expensive I think. It would be nice to add a small refrigerator to the rooms for the guests.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel in great part of town.
Cons: Would have been nice if breakfast was included.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Somehow this isn't mentioned on their website or any reviews I've seen, but Hotel Alda gives each guest an android smartphone in lieu of a room phone. This phone works throughout Iceland, has reception on speed dial, and has all the other bells and whistles you'd expect of s smartphone: maps, activity guides, etc. A great and welcome surprise!
Cons: Unfortunately for the hotel, but fortunately for Reykjavik generally, there is a bit of construction going on near the facilities. Not a big deal if you're getting up early to go on an adventure, but if you intend to sleep in do ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. This advice should be good through the end of summer 2015.

Pros: The rooms were clean, but small, comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was outstanding. This was near the main shopping district

7,9 Good
Cons: No vegan breakfast option. No free parking.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the front desk it's simply amazing.
Cons: All is OK except the restaurant. I asked for a "Nachos plate" and I got some cold chips in a cold plate with some cold sauces. So I asked to warm it up because it was not possible to eat it. So I received a burned mess and I had to paid a fortune for that!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, great service from reception especially Pedro
Cons: More variation for breakfast
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for 4 nights mid November. Very good hotel within easy walking distance to attractions, shops etc. Are room was road side but road noise was minimal and the room was clean and well equiped with tea and coffee facilities, mini bar, free to use safe, hairdryer, Tv with English channels, very comfy bed, good shower only negative is the door to the bathroom is frosted glass so not very private. Good buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices. The ensite restaurant is competitively priced with nice food and with my husband being gluten free they were able to alter the menu to accomodate him. Excursion buses pick up outside entrance at stop No13. The hotel has a spa which is an extra charge of £25 per person per stay which we never took up so didn't use. Parking is available outside there is a Pay meter. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: Glass door on bathroom.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location at one end of the main shopping and restarant precinct was also a very quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff especially Pedro who assisted us on numerous occasions (his boss should give him the rest of the day off). Large spacious room with modern funky decor . Lovely hot shower with excellant water pressure. Hot and cold buffett breakfast in the morning. Added bonus was one of the bus stops for the fly bus service from the airport so dropped off and picked up at the front door. Would definately stay again.
Cons: Unfortunately we did not have enough time to utilize the spa facilities. Maybe next time.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The spa was great, excellent location, breakfast was good. Pedro, one of the staff members, was super friendly and very helpful
Cons: The rooms were quite small

4,0 Okay
Pros: The decor was pleasant, and there was always access to hot beverages. Hotel upgraded our room to a superior prior to our arrival.
Cons: The view would have been beautiful, but for the entirety of our stay we had scaffolding, and electrical tools directly in front of and blocking our glass door and windows. Maintenance crew was hammering new boards to exterior and had loud music in use. Room was not peaceful, and view of lake obscured. No warning provided at check in.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious, the hot tub is nicely located and everything was very clean. Nice and helpful staff. Great location to see the northern lights if you're lucky and very near Reykjavik at the same time.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great although we had a car so I cannot comment on the bus service etc, it was very relaxing and the views across the lake are amazing. We saw the northern lights thankfully. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable, the hotel was lovely and clean.
Cons: The only slight niggle was that the hot water/coffee which you can go and get from the dining area was sometimes empty or tepid so it would have been nice for hot drink facilities in our room.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It felt very homely and the staff were really friendly. The food was extraordinary!!
Cons: The heating could have been turned down a little.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staffs who make you feel welcome. The room is beautiful.

Pros: The atmosphere and the beds were really nice
Cons: If you take the bus, its a 10 minute walk from the station. Not an issue unless you have loads of luggage

Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bed, excellent shower, free WiFi, coffee/tea in room. Breakfast buffet had good choice. Drop off point from airport literally just outside, easy walk to main street, bars and sea, quiet location so slept well.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I really loved the hotel. Its about a 5 min walk either the shopping/bar areas or the water! But the staff was extremely helpful with everything!! They kept the hotel spotless and were great at suggestions for everything we inquired about! I would definitely stay there again!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, clean, modern, with good views and extremely helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent! Really enjoyed the Happy Hours at the hotels bar! Hotel provided parking which is a BIG DEAL in downtown Reykjavik!
Cons: No shower curtain or shower panel(s)....water went EVERYWHERE in the bathroom! No exercise facility, no sauna.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location is very good, staff is friendly, bed is really good
Cons: In the bathroom there is no waterscreen. So when showering the whole bathroom is wet. This damaged the furniture in the bathroom. We paid for a room with breakfast. The last morning we had to leave really early to catch our flight but it was not possible to make a breakfast package without paying extra.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the storm hotel was wonderul. The person at the desk even went out of their way to call our tour company when we missed out bus. The tour company sent a small van to just pick us up. So thankful for that desk person!

Pros: + Only 5-10 mins to citycenter. Perfect for a nice walk through the heart of Reykjavik. + Clean and modern + Good complimentary continental breakfast + Happy Hours everyday + Onsite Parking
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was really great, it served as a great base during our stay. The hotel is modern and comfortable and it was warm which is exactly what you need after a day outside. The location was really good with a neighbour hotel bar directly opposite which is definitely worth a visit. There is a bus stop over the road also which you can get picked up from to take you to various tours etc. Reykjavik is great because you can walk most places as it’s not massive in the centre and this hotel is about a ten minute walk to the main road in the centre where all the shops and bars are. The staff were all bet I pleasant and the breakfast was hot and replenished often!
Cons: We liked everything about the property.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and modern and in a good location for the shopping area and a number of restaurants (there is no restaurant in the hotel).
Cons: No hot food at breakfast (welcome when it's -5C outside!). The pathway outside the hotel entrance was treacherously icy and should have been deiced for safety.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Spotlessly clean. Staff very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was right in the city center, great facilities and the staff was very friendly. The hotel seemed to be newly built because the rooms were up to date, nicely decorated, and the water from the shower did not smell at all!
Cons: Nothing this hotel was perfect for our stay!
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The only thing that I didn't like was the lift was broken for 3 days while we were there and we were on the top floor.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near to bus stop 3 for tour pick ups and transfers, lots of shops and restaurant within a minutes walk, The breakfast was good - they had a good selection. we had an evening meal there and the food was exceptional.
Cons: The room did not smell very nice when we walked in, it's a non smoking hotel but i think a smoker may have used the room before and the windows had been left wide open with the heating off. Not that nice in iceland in november to walk into a freezing smelly room but apart from that an excellent stay
4,6 Okay
Pros: The location is very central, the design of the hotel and decoration is very nice
Cons: The shower area and shower were beyond awful, we paid for a deluxe room and there was nothing deluxe about it really, completely average. The breakfast was ok, not great. The elevator was completely out of use during our whole stay which was a bit of a pain. Staff upon arrival weren’t very welcoming or overly friendly.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and great breakfast. Room smaller than expected but good all the same. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I am short so mirror in bathroom too high and I couldn’t reach the safe - why put it up so high even if tall would struggle. And the room could do with some coat pegs as all have big coats need somewhere to hang them !!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: very stylisch - super central location breakfast was delicious frobt desk service was Berry helpful
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, nice size rooms as we upgraded to a deluxe room ....standard would have been too small. friendly helpful staff. great choice of breakfast.

Pros: We have stayed here many times and we are never disappointed by the quality of service. We are very comfortable here and the hotel is convenient to everything. We would highly recommend it.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location within walking distance to busy city center Great value for the money Friendly staff Prompt service from staff & housekeeping Nice little restaurant in the lobby
Cons: For some reason the TV was messed up most of the time (would get frozen on certain channels and would have to get up and turn it off). However, was not in the room much, so this was not a big issue.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is very clean, easy to find, and an amazing location in the historic city center. Staff is very friendly, very helpful. We enjoyed the adjacent museum / Viking settlement exhibit. Comfy beds, room is nice and dark and quiet, very restful after a long day of trekking or sightseeing.
Cons: The room is a little warm, and there is no independent temperature control, but I gather that is kind of standard for Iceland and not specific to this property.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Only stayed for one night but everything about the hotel works... The location is great for restaurants, bars, walking to the downtown area (5 mins) and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were comfortable, bright, and had everything we needed. Highly recommended stay...
Cons: Building work opposite but not much the hotel can do about that...
6,5 Good
Pros: The location was very nice and central.
Cons: The hotel staff were rude and not helpful. One night there was so much noise from people talking and partying until 3:00 am. Could not sleep. The buses no linger pick you up at the hotel. It the walk to the bus stop is less than five minutes. It was still inconvenient with all our luggage. We did not know that when booking.

Pros: Well finished and maintained. Good weights in the gym.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms, nice decor
Cons: Not best value for the money. Breakfast expensive
7,3 Good
Pros: Quiet, private.
Cons: I arrived at 7am but paid for the night before because I needed to sleep. At 12 noon it here was a nock on the door and a moment later a phone call. They wanted me to check out even though I had a five day reservation . Actually should not of been charged for the first day because I didn't get what I paid for, sleep. The staff was always to busy on the computer to acknowledge guest unless you engaged them.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is fabulous, simply fabulous. We spent three really enjoyable nights here. Rooms are compact but spotless and so comfortable. The staff are wonderful and a credit to the hotel and Iceland as a whole. The location of this hotel is perfect. Two minutes to the bus stop for your excursions and right on top of the bars and restaurants. The only thing I wasn’t mad about was the lack of a hotel bar, you have to go into Jamie’s Restaurant for a little tipple but that’s not picking and didn’t and wouldn’t put me off returning to this brilliant hotel. Well done guys!
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Quiet and close to everything. Room was adequate for my purposes and comfortable to sleep in. The staff was helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff here are exceptional. Nothing is too much for them i have recommended this tonlots of people.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good location Great activities/trips website Helpful staff General big hotel facilities with small hotel feel Good but small spa
Cons: Average dinner on a second night in Jamie’s
5,7 Okay
Pros: The location is great
Cons: There are so many more hotels in the area that in our opinion had much more to offer. We experienced a few hotels in the Reykjavik and the others were similar in price (if not less) and the staff was so wonderful and friendly, rooms were above and beyond and the amenities were far superior. Overall would give this a 3 out of 5 star.

Pros: Beautifully located next to the church at the top of town. Easy walk to all restaurants and bars. Walked to dinner a the Hereford Steakhouse and it was AMAZING. You must try the Puffin and Reindeer. The room was impeccable and very comfortable. They have normal rooms and studios. I had a studio for the night. Full bathroom, fridge, electric kettle, parking behind the building. Great view of the church from my room.
Cons: I have no complaints.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is quite big, clean, staff is very polite & friendly. The WiFi was excellent, the location was great, as it was in walking distance to the main strip. Overall we had a lovely pleasant stay.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Service was great, had a room with low water pressure and got an upgrade immediately.
Cons: The beds weren't comfortable
5,4 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff at breakfast buffet and very good breakfast. Room size was good. Probably a good hotel for business people.
Cons: We booked this hotel mainly because of it's restaurant which should have allowed us to eat dinner with our 20-month-old daughter without having to leave the hotel. But mid-november the only dining option in the hotel's "Haust Restaurant" was a Christmas-buffet for 9.900 ISK (73€ !) per person, without drinks. On the only day where there was "normal buffet" it still cost 7.900 ISK although if it was advertised everywhere at 6.900 ISK. The other option, the beergarden was not adapted for little children and only offers junk food (hamburgers, fish&chips etc.) at the price for decent food. Room service offers the same food as well, but they add 1.500 ISK as a room service fee. We also ordered a bottle of house wine advertised for 5.500 ISK which was finally charged at 7.400 ISK. We got the feeling that everything was overcharged and they tried to take every penny possible of their customers. Beds were a bit uncomfortable, and during 4 nights our bed sheets were not changed and the Kleenex box not filled up. Location at the border of the city center (we saw many hotels with better locations), but still expensive parking on the roads around the hotel. We would not choose this hotel again.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location right in downtown easy walking to shops and sights. We rented a car parked right in front of hotel, plus great starting point for Golden Circle and Southern Coast drives.
Cons: Hotel food prices, but not when you consider dinningout in Reykjavik is extremely expensive they weren't that badge
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: They had a decent gym which you could use anytime. Breakfast was ok
Cons: Firstly before reviewing the room (which if you are thinking about the Tower suite upgrade you might want to take a look at) I want to comment on the customer service. (also note that I gave the Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon top ratings so no bias here) Worst customer service I've experienced in all my travels. Little background, I'm 35 years old and traveled all around the world. In Iceland for my honeymoon and it was my last few nights of the trip. Had to alter my booking as there was a change due to weather and would not be able to make it back in time. Called 2 days earlier only to get a rude response from the hotel staff. (It felt she was trying to make it difficult) There were plenty of rooms available as it was off peak so continued with the booking, even extending duration and opted to upgrade to the Tower suite as our stayed in the FossHotel Glacier Lagoon only days before was exceptional. Got charged 50 euros to make the amendment and did not get a confirmation email in response. When I arrived the same staff member served me and claimed I didn't send the details. When I asked her to check again she said it was there but didn't acknowledge her mistake. A lot of attitude from the staff member and felt like all she cared about was getting as much money off us as possible. Now the room. Upgraded to the tower suite. was excited because our room was a corner suite on the 15th floor (view was great in the hallway windows.) Turned out it wasn't a corner suite just a regular room (which was fine) Things wrong with the room - TV is halfway in the hallway and the bedroom lol. You can still watch it but from a certain angle. - Shower was bad. Tiny with no pressure and didn't feel clean. - The door to the bathroom would not close properly unless you slammed it shut and when it did open it would scrap along the tiles when opened half way. - Automatic curtains didn't work but in truth now I'm just nit picking. Hope this review helped!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Very clean. Great breakfast buffet with everything you could imagine...walking distance from downtown
Cons: Dinner buffet was really expensive so we didn't try that.

Cons: N/A
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very nice. The staff were really friendly and helpful, Magnus and Karsten (I think I have spelt his name wrong) went above and beyond to help us and were very approachable. The only problem with the hotel was it’s location, it is not downtown and it is about a 15/20 min walk into town.
7,9 Good
Pros: Reception staff was very friendly and helpful!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Very clean and modern
Cons: Very small shower, long walk to city center, bus infrequent
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Room was too hot and difficult to control heating.
6,0 Good
Pros: Hotel is in nice location and the well appointed with modern furniture and everything worked fine. Staff was nice and courteous. Elevators need room keys to function so it's very secure. The view from the room was ok. Bathroom was very small.
Cons: We wanted to have some light dinner at the bar but the selection was so poor we decided not to. We ordered some beer and snacks and all they had was cashews. Who eats cashews with beer ? Did not even have some peanuts or finger food like fries.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: How clean the rooms were! It was so easy to just come in and relax!
Cons: I would have liked a sheet under my duvet .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They accommodated us wonderfully when we arrived early
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was so comfortable we did not feel like leaving.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9,4 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the high end quality from top to bottom of the hotel! It was immaculate, stylish and staff was helpful and enjoyable.
Cons: I would have preferred to have been closer to downtown so I could walk to the downtown area. However, that would mean having a big hotel in the middle of a great little town. I understand that they are building something closer to town that fits in to the surroundings, so I'll have to try that when it opens.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and service oriented.
Cons: It was a little warm in the room, I would have liked a fan in there.

Pros: Very modern clean and today. Comfortable room and slept really well in the bed. Modern bathroom, large tv. It’s my second stay and great value for money. Plenty of choice at breakfast.
Cons: It’s about a 30 minute walk to the centre but a good few places to eat locally
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views from room Breakfast ok
Cons: Its a bit far out of town
7,1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was ok
Cons: The bathroom is vey small, the wash basin almost mini, the Personal at the front desk was in the most cases formal o.k , but not friendly, not personal, not smiling. We from south Europe we like to see persons smiling, trying to give something more to the hotelguests as the typical formal information one can get also....in the web
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, good location
Cons: Rooms very hot and stuffy
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and nice bar downstairs. Modern decor.
Cons: Rooms are extremely small. Windows are not very tight in cold weather. Location is not great, about 2 miles from downtown.
4,2 Okay
Pros: The staff who checked us in knew very little about the area, telling us we would have to ride a busy to down town when in actuality it's walkable (w/ a 5 1/2yro) in about 25 minutes. She additionally was no help with bus fair, stops, or routes. We adventured and found our way fairly easily. There is no pool on site, the one they mention is across the highway and down a side street but heated and great for families. The breakfast was mediocre, luke warm food and not many choices. our room faces the parking lot/highway and had windows so dirty it was difficult to see out of them. The room was extremely hot, even after turning the heat off and the noise from outside (cars & people walking to and from partying until 4:30 am) kept us up most of the night. Overall this was the worst nights sleep of our trip & the worst accommodations we had.
Cons: The whole experience was less than desirable.
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice, clean and simple rooms, in a good location for exploring Iceland
Cons: The price of the room was unexplainably put up, neither booking.com or the hotel took any responsibility for it. It pretty much ruined our stay at this hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was yummy! And there was information everywhere about what to see and do.
Cons: Breakfast was an interesting experience! Twice there were no plates or glasses, and all 4 mornings most tables were clogged up with dirty dishes.... Not enough staff it would seem!
8,2 Excellent
Pros: We had a comfortable room, and the location was a bit far from down town, but it was a great place to stay. There are a variety of restaurants in the two-or-so blocks from the hotel, one is right next door. The best part was one of the desk employees, Arnar. He was super helpful, cheerful, and friendly, but what he really stands out for (IMHO) is how he saved the day when one of us messed up on some reservations. We would have missed the whole thing and lost our money. He made some calls and got us rescheduled and arranged transportation to the event. Whew! I was beyond thankful. He saved the day.
Cons: Wish we would have had a room with a view.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 20-40 min walk from most attractions. Great proximity to soccer stadium.
Cons: No gym.
6,5 Good
Pros: Nice enough décor
Cons: Small rooms, limited amenities, somewhat close to downtown, at least 25 minute walk.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: -Buffet breakfast included was delicious. -The swimming center close by is a must for families! -Rooms were clean, and compact. -Allowed us to check-in at 8am!!
Cons: -Distance from city center; We had a car rented, so not an issue. -Allowed us to check-in at 8am!! Received a smaller room than booked, but appreciative of the convenience of unloading all our bags immediately.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: I like how it was easy when we arrived - no need to check in, the key to our room was just in the foyer waiting for us, there are slippers and a shoe horn at the shoe rack and the room is ready. Similarly, we just left the room key and went out of the house when it was time to leave - so easy! They keep the place clean quietly :) The bathroom floor got wet a little after I showered and when it was my husband's turn to use the bathroom, the floor towel is no longer wet! So they changed the towel in between. We were lucky that there was no queue in the shared bathroom whenever we needed to use it and the other guests (if any) were quiet. Best thing about the place is its LOCATION. I chose it mainly because a bus stop is just outside it (stop 2) but it turned out, it is really at the heart of Reykjavik!!! We went around the city by foot from the guesthouse. Location and comfort - the guesthouse topped these criteria. While we were there just for a night, we checked the common kitchen and you get a space in the fridge :) so I will definitely book this again when we come back in Reykjavic, not just for a night but longer this time!!!
Cons: Cant think of one! :) Oh, I felt inconvenienced in removing the boots when I just needed to get our luggage from our room but that's how they keep the place clean so it's ok. I am not complaining :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, homey feeling, comfortable room and good common areas!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: good area, cleaness, comfort and we have a pleasant stay. the check in is so easy..they already put room keys with our name near the enterence door :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location just a short walk from the city center, the personnel were really nice and helped us on our requests. Perfect place to stay in Reykjavik for a short visit. Totally recommended.
Cons: -
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, fully equipped kitchen and most important of all, great location for the Airwaves venues!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great room and kitchen
Cons: No signs show how many showers or toilets at each floors
7,0 Good
Pros: We loved the location of this guesthouse; only 5 minutes walk from the centre but on a quiet road, away from the chaos at the weekends. There's even a little convenience store just round the corner where you can buy groceries. The studio we stayed in was practical and cosy, and the owner was very friendly indeed. We had a very good stay!
Cons: The pillows and mattresses were a bit on the soft and tired side, but adequate.
7,0 Good
Pros: The owner is really a first class, helpful guy. The location is great and this place perfectly suited my needs. Great value. You have to know what you are getting into, though. If you're not familiar, the guesthouse format is essentially a self-serve B&B. It's secure and clean and well maintained but the owner is only there for a few hours a day. If you're self-guided and don't need hand-and-foot service, it's really perfect.
7,7 Good
Pros: the location is tops, very good price, liked the selfcatering option with enough clean items in kitchen, new clean bathroom lovely shower would stay here again
6,7 Good
Pros: Basic but very comfortable, clean and inexpensive self catering studio apartment - ideal for 4 friends or a close family travelling together. Lots of hot water!
6,7 Good
Pros: The rooms were cosy.We slept well. Very quiet neighborhood. Very good location.
Cons: We didn't see the landlord. Couldn't pay in the morning (he said he would be there, we left after 9 am), he had to get the rest of the amount off my Visa and I couldn't even see the amount nor sign it. I'm sure he did it right but it's just a bit surprising.
6,4 Good
Pros: Room was clean. Excellent location in heart of city. Price was right.
Cons: Pictures on website were not pictures of Guesthouse. No windows looking out in studio apartment. Two bunk beds were provided for 4 people. Not appropriate for seniors. This should be indicated in the description.
7,6 Good
Pros: Location, free internet, facilities
Cons: -
5,2 Okay
Pros: Kitchen in excellent working condition. Bathroom had been partly remodeled. Price was good. Access to room upon arrival at 10 A.M. was nice.
Cons: Check in - no one was around- no check in point- made it confusing. However, when called, the manager did arrive. The major bad points: the room stank - I had to spray it before I could handle being in it. I could not find a way to get cold water without the bad suplhur taste.
3,6 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: 1. The pictures of the place on your website were not taken in the "Flying Viking Guest House"! (I can email you pictures I have taken of the Guest House to document this claim) 2. During my stay, I never met the person who runs the Guest house nor any other persons/staff working there!!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Couldn't ask for better. Owner of the Guesthouse did everything to make us feel welcome. If we ever return to Iceland, we'll be staying here.
Cons: What bad points?

Pros: Nice location
Cons: Our room was not very clean, especially the bathroom. The room was outdated and we couldn't open the windows for fresh air to get rid of the bad smell. Cannot recommend for the price.

Pros: near to Reyjavix ,shopping and transportation
Cons: old carpet
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice choice at breakfast and quick check in
Cons: Room was pretty shabby - although clean
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and they added anew extra cot in our room no charge before we arrived
Cons: Shower water smelled like sulfur
7,5 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Rooms are small - they need serious renovation. Our curtains were broken - could not close them during the night. Bathrooms are tiny. There should be a place to separate a shower from the rest of the bathroom. The whole floor would always get wet. Furniture looks like from 1983. Also, nobody cleaned our floor for the whole week (how do I know it). I dropped a piece of cookie next to the table and nobody picked it up for the 6 days we stayed there. Also, nobody cleaned the patio outside.
