Excellent 10,0
Pros: This guest house is in a perfect location. The host family is VERY hospitable and helpful!! The rooms are very modern, welcoming, there is free coffee, tea, cake and smoothies!!! The shared kitchen and living room is very nice. All sights are within easy reach and there is free parking.
Cons: All is perfect
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fresh Smoothie each morning!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great, quaint bed and breakfast with extremely helpful and kind owners. We would definitely stay again!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Home from home with great facilities and location.
Cons: Nothing !
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Absolutely everything! First of all, the hosts were super friendly and helpful - they kindly let to keep the luggage after checking out. Also, due to the early work assignments, I couldn’t make to the breakfast from 8 am but this was easily solved by getting breakfast to the fridge in advance. However, I wouldn’t like to miss an opportunity to enjoy breakfast at the actual place - Reykjavik roasters who had a great menu & coffee! Even more, every morning, the surprise smoothie and cake is served at the guesthouse. The house interior creates a comfortable environment that relaxes after the intensive days. Everything is very clean. It’s exceeded expectations. I would recommend staying both for the leisure and work trips.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: I liked a lot of things at this establishment; the warm hospitality of this family-operated establishment, the free tea and coffee (Nespresso machine), the interior design of the place, the well-stocked bathroom (l'occitane products and leftover toiletries from other guests), the cleanliness of the place, free parking for our rental car, free smoothies, well-stocked kitchen with modern appliances, and the location.
Cons: This isn't a reflection of the guesthouse staff at all but I would have to say that the eggs I brought and left in the shared refrigerator in the kitchen were taken even though it was on the shelf for my room. My only suggestion to the staff is perhaps make bigger signs for the room numbers and also a bigger sign on the fridge door to warn other guests not to take items from other room assigned shelves.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Complimentary breakfast smoothies are great, cozy bedroom, AMAZING location (right in the heart of Reykjavic and walking distance to everything), clean facilities, bike rental. Staff was very friendly and accommodating - we had a slight delay in our travels and one of the staff members made sure we were taken care of.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Excellent service, very comfortable and loads of extras like free bikes and great selection for teas and coffees (Nespresso).
Cons: A bit dusty in some areas like the radiators.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: You can't beat the location. Newly renovation building, lots of street parking, shared kitchen and bathroom. Lot's of towels, toiletries very clean and modern. Kitchen is packed with an array of teas and coffees including a healthy smoothie made fresh daily. Great service and they offer a guide with places to go and things to do in the city. Which is short walk from the hotel. Breakfast is complimentary just next door beautiful cafe with seating an wifi you can actually get some work done.
Cons: I didn't like the fact I didn't choose to stay there my entire visit to Iceland, such a great central location.

Pros: The room was nice and big. I liked the separate foyer and bathroom. The location was very good. Good proximity to the Lutheran church and the start of the shopping strip. The parking lot was very convenient and much appreciated.
Cons: No elevators to the third floor. Had to carry all the luggage up the stairs.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Really liked the breakfast. The location was great close to restaurants and shops.
Cons: The shower was odd, the curtain kept moving while showering which made it a bit of challenge. A door would be better.
Good 7,1
Pros: Good location and clean room, but the room is very close to the main street, so very noisy and pedestrians on the road can see people in the room, so you can not open the window, if you open the window, you can not sleep. This hotel has no elevator, so if you have big luggage, it will be a bit difficult to carry. The price of the room is relatively expensive.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Staff at reception were always polite, more then welling to answer our questions, provided great direction to specific locations and did lots of extra recherch on wed to answer our inquiries.
Cons: Our room was located at the end of the guesthouse on third floor, Some days after long outings/hiking the stairs were challenging for an older guy with bad knees.Luggage transportation will have been to/from room will have been appreciated.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Receptionist are extremely friendly.
Cons: For the price I’m expecting my private bathroom.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The room was nice and bright with a little balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The beds were very comfortable. Outside the room there was a little kitchen with a fridge, a stove and a microwave and an eating table with 4 chairs around. Breakfast was included and OK. Only 10 min. walk from STI (with your suitcases!), and even less to the main street.
Cons: There is no elevator, mind that if you arrive from a week shopping in N.Y. ;)
Good 7,9
Pros: Location is great, close to all main attractions. Staff was friendly, breakfast was ok. More a hotel, than a guest house. There are kitchens available for use.
Cons: Nothing really bad, just overpriced, even for Iceland: it is just a basic room with a shared bathroom. I had nicer places for lower prices around Iceland
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The location is very practical, being no more than 10 minutes walk from the harbour area or the Harpa concert hall or the BSI bus station which is end point for airport shuttles and starting point for all Reykjavik Excursions tours, and it's opposite the Hallgrimskirkja and just round the corner from the main shopping streets with all their shops, bars and restaurants. The guest house itself is modern and well designed, with a fully-equipped kitchen also available to guests on each floor, shared by each small cluster of 3 rooms so guests can easily fully cater for themselves if they so choose. Breakfast is healthy and comprehensive (no hot food) with home made cinnamon bread! We found the staff helpful with comprehensive tourist information which they can support with advice and bookings if needed. Also for early leavers there is even an all-night "early breakfast" available.

Pros: We arrived late. Great hospitality! Karlotta has made arrangements so that we were looked after. It's a lovely room in their lovely home. Comfortable bed, love the 2 single blankets. She has thoughtfully put a microwave and kettle in the dining area so we could help ourselves to tea.
Cons: Location is in the suburbs. Reykjavik in general is expensive... Be prepared to pay for expensive taxi. We made a mistake by thinking we could easily walk to Go Camper to pick up car, but that was an approx 20 mins taxi away. If you already have rented a car from airport, this isn't an issue.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The home was comfortable and the owners very friendly and helpful.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Excellent location, well maintained home, extremely friendly and accommodating host. Would 100% stay here again!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Karlotta and Hugo were excellent hosts and both made us feel extremely welcome. They gave great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was also a highlight and helped us keep to our more strict budget. The place itself was very homely and having books in every room was lovely. Karlotta also kindly offered to change our bedding and towels – much appreciated after an evening at the Blue Lagoon!
Cons: The only thing I would say is that the property was quite expensive for the location. It was advertised as being in the city centre of Reykjavik, but it was a 25-minute walk. We didn't mind walking (and we did hire a car for two of the days) but would have been nice to be a little bit closer. Other than that, our stay was fantastic.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The hosts were very nice and made us feel very comfortable.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very quiet very friendly. Needed to leave very early - was left breakfast self serve, made sandwiches which I ate later
Cons: Long walk into town
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Karlotta (the host) is so sweet and welcoming person! She is always ready to help. The breakfast is also a nice option! The house itself and the room are stylish, modern but with it's own history and unique things so you can feel yourself almost at home! Definetely wish to stay longer.
Cons: Not so close to city center, Laugavegur street - 20-25 minute walk. But that's all that may not be suittable for some people. For us it was okay.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fantastically lovely hosts, cosy room, super breakfast

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Perfect vintage house
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Didn't have a chance to eat breakfast before we had to head to the airport. The coffee was delicious though! Nothing to dislike - the property and location were great!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fantastic house over 100 years old! We stayed in the Library. Beds were so comfy and everything was spotless. Loved the cat and dog who came to say hello every time we came back into the house. The location of the house was superb. 5 mins walk from BSI bus terminal and 5 to 10 mins into the main part of town for the eateries. The staff at the guesthouse could not do enough for you. Highly recommend.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Nice, quiet residential street. Short walk to shopping area & tourist sights. Having a kitchen (with coffee pot, kettle, dishes, utensils, cooking pots, etc.) in our room was great, since eating out was so expensive. There were 9 of us in three apartments. All of our rooms had different lay-outs, and one of them had a large living room where we could all gather comfortably (Apt. 2) Very friendly, helpful innkeepers, also!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Jelly belly is an exceptional greeter and host. His fine white coat and sausage like tail are real crowd pleasers
Cons: The room was a little tight but that is a common North American complaint
Excellent 10,0
Cons: Only complaint - very tiny staircase made it difficult carrying luggage up and down!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The facilities and location are outstanding. On top of that when we arrived we were told there was a plumbing issue with our room and the host simply upgraded us to a much bigger room. First class treatment. Would highly recommend this guesthouse when in Reykjavik.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: No fuss, just go and enjoy. Loved being able to cook a bit since eating out is crazy expensive.
Cons: Parking spots are difficult sometimes. The water smelled of sulfur.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location, warmth, coziness and your wonderful dog. I just would’ve like seeing him this morning so I could’ve given him a belly rub
Cons: Nothing or maybe a lesson in using the shower to avoid flooding the bathroom.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: In low price and in the middle of downtown! 5 minutes to the church! Staff is friendly and helpful!

Pros: The staff was friendly and very helpful by giving us a room on arrival early in the morning and then moving us to a suite
Cons: The location could be better
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Location was easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: They say that they provide a hot breakfast, but I found that this really meant just buffet style eggs and bacon. Everything else was more of a continental breakfast style.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Very good staff, clean and comfortable, splurge restaurant. Arranged several details including transfers and day trips via the staff. Quick walk to old town in both directions - reflecting pool or Hallgrimskirka. Solid.
Cons: Not cheap, rooms are not large, but that's not their fault.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Quiet location, but 10 min walk to everything. Breakfast buffet (hot) included. Absolutely best staff attentive, accommodating, engaging. Houses one of the finer restaurants in the city plus a nice bar downstairs. Tea and coffee and mini bar in the room. Would absolutely stay again.
Cons: Single rooms on the top floor are drafty because of the balcony doors.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Room was clean, nice bathroom, nice and hot for drying out things as it rained all day. Breakfast was great and included. Good location between BSI bus terminal and the main shopping area about a 7 min walk. Staff are very helpful..!
Excellent 9,2
Pros: We’ve been there 7 times and love the art and the neighborhood which is quiet and old Reykjavík The food is not my favorite but it is our favorite hotel and feels like home
Cons: I tripped on the entry step which was 5” high and caught my foot

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Couldn't fault it
Okay 4,0
Cons: It was discribed as having a pool which was not accurate because you had to pay extra for that tried to stay one night and cancel the other nights were told couldn't do it with out paying full price, won't book through kayak again
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Located directly next to domestic airport in Reykjavik - very convenient since I flew in/out of airport - walked to airport - no need to take expensive taxi - clean room - friendly staff
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very friendly staff. Excellent and varied breakfast buffet.
Cons: Had to pay 3000 isk for the spa which was unexpected and not worth the money.
Good 7,9
Pros: Nice spa and restaurant.
Cons: Not much to do around the location.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Crisp, clean rooms. Sharp lines very modern look inside
Cons: Breakfast is a barely mediocre buffet for 3000isk (about $30) a person
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Excellent staff. Very friendly. I would specially like to mention about Margarita at the reception who was very friendly and helpful. She informed me about a nice place called footbath which is also a good place for aurora hunting.
Good 7,7
Pros: Spa was fantastic, breakfast was great but this was expected due to the price you pay.
Cons: Having a double bed which have two beds pushed together was uncomfortable and as a couple we like to be close when we sleep. On this occasion having two single duvets just made this uncomfortable. On check in they told us they were overbooked and that we should chose another of their hotels. The member of staff was rude and talking in Icelandic to other members of staff which made us uncomfortable. We ended up with a room upgrade because of the situation however this is not what we needed after a long day travelling.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Good location, helpful and nice staff, nice and clean hotel
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Privacy and friendly staff at the reception. Good people standing behind the desk.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Nice rooms, welcoming staff at reception, very clean and comfy. Not walking distance to downtown Reykajvik, but still a very pleasant hotel. If you are going to leisure I would make sure you have a rental car.
Cons: The restaurant wasn't that great, (underdone chicken), waitstaff wasn't friendly, especially if your breakfast wasn't part of the package. The spa staff gave contradictory information to reception staff, so better communication would've been helpful .
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful with information on getting around Reykjavik. The food was excellent. Loved the Folk art and displays in the lobby. It was a very nice stay for my first visit to Iceland.
Cons: The only thing that didn't work was th TV in our room. When the staff couldn't seem to fix it we were given vouchers for a beverage of our choice from the bar. It worked out just fine, instead of sitting in our room we went out and about the city and had a great time, better than TV any day!

Pros: Clean kitchen and good staff. Restrooms and showers are also very clean. Close to the city center. Good music at reception area.
Cons: You need your own lock to use your locker in your room.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: The staff was very helpful. Everything is clean and, I believe, cleaned up every day.
Cons: Snoring people
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Nice and really helpful people all around, chill atmosphere that I love to come back to. Lots of showers and toilets.
Cons: Construction work ongoing in the former lobby and bar area, I hope nothing too “modern” will come, otherwise the charm of old mixed furniture and items like pictures will be lost. Currently, due to works only a small area to hang around except for the rooms.
Good 6,0
Pros: Cafe area, easy access to Sadcars
Cons: No top sheet, blanket charged extra, rooms colder than hall even with 10 people, no laundry
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Recycling option in the kitchen.
Cons: Bathroom's shower head was leaking a bit and there was not enough wster pressure in some of the bathrooms.
Good 7,3
Pros: Kitchen, luggage room, sheets provided, warm water, staff always available, free computer available
Cons: 3 restrooms/floor, walkable to city center and grocery stores but not within 10 min
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Friendly and helpful very nice could not have found a better spot!
Cons: It did rain a day or two but no trouble otherwise

Pros: The bed was very comfortable, and the host was very friendly. We had a nice breakfast with really good coffee. We overall enjoyed our stay and it was a very good value for the money.
Cons: Shared bathroom was a little bit inconvenient but was ok for the affordable room we stayed in.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Goid size room. Good breakfast. The host is very accomdating. Perfect location. Its 4 minutes walk to the terminal
Cons: No tv in the room. Weak wife downstairs
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was great, they gave us french pressed coffee (in our very own french press!) and, for tea lovers, they would give an individual pot. I am a hiker, and we were heading for a day trip, so the packed lunch option (for about 11USD to two sandwiches, fruit and juice box) was such a treat! They even try to accommodate allergies. I really wish we spent more nights here, it was great.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amazing staff, very nice talks. The breakfast is super nice, best bread I ate in Iceland. :) The location is perfect, short, even stroller friendly walk to the center (but it is not right in the center, maybe 15 minutes walk). We were there with our 11 month old baby and everything was perfect. I can only recommend this place!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: 15 minute walk to downtown Reykjavík. Price of room includes parking and breakfast with homemade bread and delicious coffee. Beds were super comfortable and the shared bathroom was always available.
Cons: Nothing.
Good 7,9
Pros: Very good value for money There is a walk to town but not overly long and closer to the entertainment precinct near the church Lovely host Everything you need from breakfast Nothing fancy but a great place to stay
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Clean property, walking distance to downtown, excellent host and good breakfast.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great breakfast. The owner was very friendly and ready to help.
Good 6,3
Pros: The location and value
Cons: The host made us feel unwelcome. One friend came with us because We were going to take her to a an airport hotel later that night. The host was suspicious that we were to sneak her in. We told him the situation and he said he believed us. But later he asked me if she was going to take a shower and I said no. If We really going to sneak a friend in, we would not have been transparent about brining her in right in front of him when first arriving. Then in the morning my friend asked a few fellow guests if they minded moving to an adjacent table so our group could be together. They said not at all but then got reprimanded by the host that it would confuse him in clearing the tables. I just thought it would be better handles to ask the guests to wait till the table was cleared. I ended up not eating the breakfast at all because I felt badly.
Good 7,7
Pros: Basic accommodations, but the room was comfortable, quiet, and dark at night. The breakfast was excellent.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Amazing breakfast and nice rooms. The location is also quite good.
Cons: No real kitchen for guests to use.

Pros: Excellent location, Daniel was super helpful
Cons: Only good things
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Super friendly hosts
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff was really friendly and helpful! They answered my questions very quickly and were always so nice. The guesthouse is located near the city center and the bus station, which makes your stay even more convenient. I liked the fact that the guests were allowed to use a big kitchen, which was well equipped. If I ever come back to Reykjavík, I will definitely stay there again.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very happy with location, facilities, check in and check out. Nice staff.
Cons: Maybe if you book a 3 bed room even if you travel solo, it would be nice if they still made up all 3 beds - instead of just one... But this is only a slight issue.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, very basic but cheerful rooms, perfect for budget traveller
Cons: Not soundproof
Excellent 10,0

Good 7,9
Pros: The location is amazing (45 meters from the Main church) Various options to park for free near by. Facilities to cook/eat and exchange with other guests.
Cons: The room was lacking some fournitures to makes it Coumfy.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good location, clean
Good 7,5
Pros: The room is clean and the kitchen is spacious with lots of equipments to prepare meals. There’re free coffee and tea and some snacks on the table for everyone.
Cons: Although the guesthouse is right at the church, it’s quite far to walk to the bus stop that the tour pick up because the bus cannot run in the downtown.

Excellent 8,8
Pros: good value and really close to everything you want to see
Cons: the shower on the ground floor was borderline to hot.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The location was good, close to the church. However, for us budget minded, it was a 15-20 minutes walk uphill from the BSI bus terminal which is the stop from KEF airport. Breakfast offered enough choices.
Cons: We were told there were no shampoo or soap/bathing gel provided in the communal bathroom which we were not aware before arriving. Going up/down 3 flights of stairs with luggage was a bit too much for this senior citizen couples but I guess that's the price to pay for a cheap stay in this expensive city.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This was clean comfortable small room in downtown Reykjavik. They have a very efficient check in process. The breaksfast was great. It is a very convenient location close to all of the main pedestrian areas.
Cons: The breakfast room was crowded, but everyone was able to get food and eat. An extra towel / bathmat for the shower could have been nice. I used my towel to dry the floor since I was just staying one night.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: location was wonderful, and easy to explane when you are lost because there was a pizza restaurant near by. Also, it was one block away from the famous church. Breakfast was wonderful. couldn't stop eating the bread they provided.
Cons: it maybe difficult to use the restroom, since the building i stayed was a modified house, which had only one bathroom( just one) on the floor with three bed room.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Big room Clean Nice kitchen and bathroom Fantastic location (center of the city) The best breakfast we had in Iceland !!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The location is perfect! Bus stop 8 for tour pickups is only 2 mins away. We were greeted by a friendly staff and got upgraded from a twin room to a beautiful studio apartment with a private bathroom(a different location which is only 3 mins away from the reception)! The staff was also very helpful with day tour bookings. I really enjoyed my time here. Totally recommend this place!
Cons: Had to walk all the way to the reception from the studio apartment to request for a hairdryer. The reception closes early so it would be hard for people who go on full-day tours to get in touch with the staff.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Location near the famous Church, very close to city center.
Cons: They over book our reservation , changing the room in a different building/ hotel, not very bad. Breakfast is poor.
Good 7,5
Pros: The room was nice. Staff friendly. Location great. Breakfast was very nice.
Cons: The shared bathroom. Some people don't clean up behind themselves. No ventilation for steam. Too tiny! NO washcloths or Kleenex provided!
Okay 4,2
Pros: Room was spare but comfortable- breakfasts were good. Staff was helpful and courteous. Location was perfect.
Cons: We were in a secondary building away from the main bldg... - not far and not a big deal except that the wifi was terrible. Also the shared bathroom was in terrible shape... cold, smelly and in desperate need of painting. If you can- ask for a room in the main house. Bathrooms much better.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: A nice guesthouse right in the middle of Reykjavík.
Cons: Finding a parking spot had been a bit of an adventure as the streets were lined with cars...

Okay 5,0
Pros: I liked the location very much. I was easy to acces to the main area of the city
Cons: Is old, there is nothing in the room. No kettle. Is very old facilities. The bathroom will be full of water after showering. The breakfast was very poor , not even eggs or tomatoes.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Breakfast was quite good. In the newer of the two buildings, at least two rooms on each floor have a perfect view. The beds are really comfortable (although firm, which is my preference).
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Loved the decor! The bar and breakfast were especially nice! And all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Super location as well, we could easily walk everywhere. The beds were also super comfy.
Cons: Bathroom was a little small (I’m very tall) so was a little hard to shower, but still manageable.
Good 7,1
Pros: Walking distance to the main strip, restaurants, shopping, night life. Staff was very friendly. Cute lobby/lounge area.
Cons: Room was tiny!! Very outdated. Bathroom smelled strongly of urine. Wasn't horrible, 3 star hotel. Wouldn't stay more than a night or 2
Good 7,9
Pros: Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Ideal location opposite the church which is one the main attractions in the city. 10 mins walk to the high street and walking distance to all other attractions in the city.
Cons: The bathroom/shower is so tiny. In fact it is more of a wet room. The wet curtain kept sticking to my body. No space to move. It’s manageable for a single person but not for 2 occupants in the room.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Can find your way back here from anywhere in Reykjavik, because the church across the street is so visible.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Great location right opposite the church with restaurants and shops in the street around the corner. Across the road from a bus stop used by tour operators. Good breakfast. Would stay there again.
Cons: We had the corner room on the top floor which had limited headroom due to the slanted roof. Bathroom was a little small, but clean.
Okay 4,5
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Crummy bathroom with no place or room for anything. Sulfurous stench water (not filtered as is needed in Reykjavik water system). Noisy smoker area outside tenant windows that kept me awake until four thirty am then restarted at six am). Paper thin walls. Dirty carpets. Just a dump that’s milking tourists.

Excellent 9,2
Pros: Extremely comfortable beds, very sympathetic receptionist, fantastic view from 7th floor window, very tasty dinner and good beer in Mimir restaurant
Cons: Limited scope of breakfast
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The room size was amazingly great and city location was very convenient.
Cons: The hotel went on strike for a day and did not have full service ie:no housekeeping, no full food menu..very disappointed they allowed that to happen.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The location was great, it was only 15 minute walk to the city center and was easily located for excursion pick up.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Location was not in the city center but a nice 10min walk away which was ideal if you don't want to be in the thick if it.
Cons: Staff seemed to be overwhelmed in the restaurant at dinner. We sat down with not explanation of the menu or even if we had been vegetarian, as we had requested a fixed 3 course dinner option prior to our stay. My husband had to inform them that he didn't eat meat. It seem too busy for the staffing level.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Given a small, quite dated room on top (7th) floor and asked for upgrade but none available. This was not a problem for us as plus points were that it was a clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed and excellent views over the city at night. The hotel itself was very nice apparently with some updating taking place that we never saw or heard whilst there. Credit must be given to the reception staff who were always very pleasant and never put out giving us information and helping us find the best excursions available. The breakfast was very good with a nice choice. We never dined at the hotel after breakfast as we were out and about most of the time but had a few drinks at the bar at night which we thought were expensive but it's roughly the same at most bars/eateries in the city. The hotel was in a very good quiet location within easy reach and walking distance from the main city area. We really liked it here and plan to book again next year as we didn't have time to visit many of the attractions having only booked a 3-night short break. We recommend this hotel. Excursions - A must is The Blue Lagoon a bit expensive at £125 p.p. with return coach travel but a wonderful experience and would visit again! This price was for the comfort pack that includes a towel and a free drink, it's about £21 p.p. dearer for the Premium pack which includes sandals and a robe. We found the Northern Lights a bit of a let down as we only saw a very small pale green 'glow' nowhere what you see in pictures even though it was a clear sky! The 'Hop On - Hop Off' red bus tour around city is also recommended.
Good 7,0
Pros: Very good selection, very well cooked and delicious.
Cons: Expensive
Okay 5,0
Pros: breakfast was awesome, if pricey. Staff was helpful
Cons: it was not clean. Room was shabby, hair and shower caps left in tub. other guests got updated modern rooms for same price that I paid for a run down dirty room. I wished I had gotten a more centrally located hotel, this hotel was NOT near anything
Poor 1,0
Cons: It's easily the worst hotel for $--- price
Excellent 10,0
Pros: really good and clean. Welcoming and also a great wibe in the bar.
Okay 4,0
Pros: The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly. The bedding was good.
Cons: The hotel appeared old and worn out. The room was small and worn out. No USB plug in the room The TV did not work. We asked for it to be fixed twice, but it was not taken care of. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. In the U.S it would be a 2.5 s
Poor 1,0
Pros: The hotel is big, in construction, noise, facility equipment trouble, electronic door key was not working.
Good 7,1
Pros: Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and food was good
Cons: Hotel was quite old inside in terms of decoration and facilities - needs refurb
