The position. The room though small was good. Same for the bathroom. Excellent soaps etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast selection is a bit limited if you like a more traditional fry up. Happy hour prices were OK but an hour is limited and people leave at the end which affect the ambience. I did not have tea or coffee facilities so on the 3rd day I asked for them and I was told I had to ask because not everyone uses them. That is not acceptable especially at the price of the room. The gym is limited because the cross trainer did not work properly, the bike was damaged, the weights were an odd selection. It could easily be improved. Having a dry dock outside my window meant I did not use the balcony more than once.
Rarely do I not find a fault but overall it was great.
The bed was really comfy, I also like the gym
Staff was very accommodating,moderate priced
Construction site right out the door
Former paint factory on the harbour turned into a hotel. Cleverly converted interior. The hotel bar was good but you might want to familiarise yourselves with "happy hour". Good location for exploring the harbour, museums and the old centre of Reykjavik is not a long walk, Nice evening meal round the corner at Forrettabarinn. £230 for six of us inc a drink each not outrageous given the weakness of GBP.
Breakfast was a bit of a rugby scrum as too many people arrived at the same time (probably on a coach tour). Some road noise late at night but didn't bother us too much
