Pros: We have just stayed two nights and have loved this place. Wayne and Diago offer a very warm welcome and the glass of prosecco ward we received. Our room was very tastefully decorated with a real eye for detail and spotlessly clean. The beds and pillow were comfortable and the decanter of sherry was decadent - Breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented - our stay was a real treat
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Quick to help with recommendations and mobile numbers available if any problems were encountered at any point during my stay. Quirky, thoughtful decor and design. Thankyou for a lovely break.
Cons: Nothing to put here!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at No. 27 Brighton - Wayne & Diego (the owners) were so friendly and welcoming! The rooms were designed very stylishly and impeccably clean. We loved the little thoughtful touches too - mints on the pillows, sherry in a vintage decanter & fluffy robes made it very cosy indeed. It’s our favourite place we’ve stayed in Brighton (and we’ve been a lot!), close to the beach and a short stroll from some lovely restaurants and Bars too. We’ll definitely be back!
Cons: Nothing! We loved it all :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was simply lovely. Little extras added to the comfort. Really helpful owners, friendly and great cooks. Breakfast was excellent with beautiful tableware and silver teapots adding to the quality feel of the whole place. Highly recommend and hope to be back for a romantic break.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: WOW WOW WOW, this is a gem of a find. Wayne and Diago truly value their B&B and their guests. From prosecco and a lovely warm welcome on arrival, to gorgeous rooms with every detail catered for. Breakfast was unbelievable, we didn't eat for the whole day, all of it is such quality ingredients, served on the most beautiful of crockery. I would have stayed a week if I could
Cons: Absolutely nothing, it was perfection!
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Ourselves being able to stay longer to experience the breakfast provided there, we will have to come back to try it.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, lovely comfortable rooms, nice breakfast but most of all the manager was awesome.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay excellent staff
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location as it is far enough out to be quieter but for us close enough to walk to any restaurants , shops etc. I wouldn't say that it is close enough for less able people to get to places though. The hotel itself is nice clean and our room was very spacious but we did book a superior to have extra space. We had a kingsize bed which was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom was adequate too. Breakfast was nice and I am sure if there was something that you requested you would only need to ask.
Cons: The only suggestion we would have is something very simple and that is to have either a small bar of soap or a hand pump soap to use after using the bathroom or for myself to use after I had put hair products on causing my hands to be sticky.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Very friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast good.
Cons: Room very dated but not in a good way. Old and tired looking. Not meets the description or photos as a luxury boutique hotel.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Aquarium Guest House, you'll be centrally located in Brighton, within a 5-minute walk of Brighton Sea Life Centre and Brighton Pier. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Property is perfectly located in the centre of Brighton. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotlessly clean and a good size. If we did ever come down to Brighton again then we would definitely see if they had availability first.
Cons: Parking can be an issue and it’s zonal so you will need to purchase a permit from guest house priced at £10 per day. We ended up parking on another street as we couldn’t get outside the guest house, but this is no way the fault of the owners.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Aquarium Guest House is located very close to the sea front and Pier. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A well stocked breakfast basket with fruit, serial bars and biscuits everyday. Excellent, service highly recommended
Cons: Parking can be a bit difficult at times, but you can buy daily permits from the Guest House. Once you have found a parking space, it's best to stay put until you depart.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the fruit etc left for own breakfast in room. I liked the unobtrusiveness of the owners who at the same time were very welcoming and friendly and I thought the room was serviced very well.
Cons: Nothing really
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We visited friends in Brighton from September 28 - October 7th and Aquarium House was centrally located for everything we wanted to do around Brighton. Brighton Train station was a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute Uber ride. Nice restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Our hosts, Helen and Scott, were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, always clean and quite roomy, even had large wardrobe to hang our clothes and store our suitcases. If you are looking for a guesthouse close to the seafront in Brighton, I would highly recommend Aquarium House.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for exploring Kemptown, Brighton Lanes and Seafront. The rooms were clean, bright and modern - the beds comfortable and linen of good quality. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit/cereal bars (plus tea/coffee facilities) in the room, so not a traditional arrangement but given the excellent selection of cafes and coffee shops locally, this suited us perfectly.....and the fact that a number of them (serving very good breakfast options) were open at 8:30am on a Sunday morning was particularly impressive (and appreciated.) Our hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Pros: Wonderful hotel! The location is perfect, very close to great restaurants and seconds walk from the seafront. I was lucky enough to have a room on the front of the hotel, meaning I had a gorgeous sea view from the window (if you poke your head out of the window)! The room was spotless, could not fault it at all, very comfortable bed and great shower. The breakfast was a real highlight, gorgeous continental selection. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, perfect!
Cons: Nothing at all - was very happy with everything!

Pros: The breakfast was good and the place was really well kept and clean. The staff were friendly and communicated really well.
Cons: The room was small (no desk and not much room for my stuff) but considering the really good price this was fine!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and nice staff.
Cons: A little bit bad smell duvet and pillows.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Was a bit tired looking. Supposed to be no smoking but there were people smoking in the evening which I could smell from the bedroom. No cooked breakfast offered. So felt quite overpriced.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect with our stay at Drakes, the staff could not do enough for you. Everyone was so lovely and really went above and beyond for you. We were upgraded for free upon our arrival, which was amazing and all the things I’d planned whilst there were seamless, I.e. in house massage and pre-ran bath with rose petal decoration. Would fully recommend anyone to stay here, as it was the best hotel stay me and my partner have ever had.
Cons: There were no faults with this property.

Pros: Breakfast was great - huge choice of cereals and fruit and beautifully cooked old favourites eggs, bacon and sausage with all the trimmings. Generous pots of coffee and plenty of fruit juices. Great breakfast! Location superb, right on the front and five minutes walk to the Lanes and all the super restaurants. All the hotel staff were extremely smart and well turned-out, and were a credit to the Hotel
Cons: Disappointed in room furnishings. Bed was great but there were no cupboards or draws for personal items. Furniture appeared to have been flung in with little thought, covering plug points. Bit of a struggle using kettle due lead being too short for available plug. Bathroom shaving mirror was dark as lighting was on the side of the mirror and not along the top.

Pros: Excellent room which was clean and well equipped. Tea & coffee making plus biscuits and water. Great buffet breakfast included in the price.
Cons: Nothing, although the car parking was expensive.

6,7 Good
Pros: The only problem was a bathroom sink that didn't drain and a long line for the reservation desk. Other than these issues it was lovely.
5,3 Okay
Pros: Very very good staff, attentive and very helpful
Cons: Charged for using a credit card to pay my bill so I will never use or allow my staff to use a De Vere Hotel ever again, bed uncomfortable
5,7 Okay
Pros: The service was excellant, especially when trying to resolve issues. The location was great.
Cons: The room was far too hot and to cool it down had to use air con unit which was located behind the curtains, absolutely no use when sleeping. The Tv was fauty and had interference. the shower curtain needed replacing as it was not adequate with the power of th shower and splurged water all over the floor, making it slippery and dangerous. There was a function on the saturday evening which we could hear the music to 3 floors up, although the staff offered us another room at 1 in the morning, the bed was tiny; so not suitable at all. Late check out was denied enough though we were too tired to face the long drive home and no discount as an apology for inconvienences. Very disappointing for a hotel of this standard so thus would not recommend.

Pros: Clean and simple. Close to the seafront. Definitely value for money.
Cons: Could have had a mirror on the dressing table.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, very nice kitchen, great breakfast with healthy options like multi-grain bread and müesli (would love some yogurt next time). Reasonably quiet at night. Everyone loves the beds; for me, the mattress was too soft, but fine for a couple nights.
Cons: Power-points were far from the beds and some weren't working. Window seat upholstery in #4 was coming apart and fibers got everywhere-- pls re-upholster! One bathroom sink hot water tap was broken. Looks like they are gradually fixing these small problems.

Pros: good
Cons: thin walls made room noisy

Pros: We were so welcomed on arriving and staff were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Couldn’t fault The Claremont at all, we felt very pleased and comfortable. Lovely special touches through your stay and such a beautiful bedroom/ bathroom. The accommodation includes a breakfast which is a thoughtful touch. Good value for money too compared to other places close that were similar. Defiantly want to visit again soon ‘
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful, old and stylish. Our room was a 4 poster double room, and so beautiful and comfortable. The facilities made us feel very relaxed during our stay. The breakfast was varied and delicious choices for everyone. (After a long drive arriving to have our room upgraded unexpectedly was just the dream).
Cons: The shower temp was hard to get right and it did go hot and cold briefly but it sorted itself out.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting, breakfast and displayed art. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing location.
6,7 Good
Pros: It was in a good location, easy access and transport was readily available with a bus stop only 2 mins away. There's also a fantastic chippy near the hotel roughly a 4 min cab ride or a 15 min walk. All in all this was a cosy little hotel, and the staff were super friendly.
Cons: The room was very dusty, everything we left out was pretty much covered in dust. I have mentioned it was cosy, but it was pretty tight for two people. But for a night it was all right.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very understanding and keen to resolve issue. Showed me room 7 - bed no better. Showed me room 8- a beautiful, huge room with an amazingly comfy bed. I offered to pay more but he refused to accept extra. So, mattresses are not all the same and room sizes vary enormously. We were extremely happy with what we ended up with. I am vegan and.my wife is vegetarian. Breakfast was no problem at all, and they made me a delicious vegan 'omelette' - think it was closer to scrambled tofu - but also offer vegan sausages and provided soya milk and non-dairy marge for the toast. Excellent location. Would certainly return provided we could be sure of a comfortable bed! Oh yes, they also have a lovely, friendly dog.
Cons: Saw lots of v positive reviews on comfort of beds - we both have spinal problems so this is top priority. Were allocated room 5. Well decorated but tiny. More importantly, the mattress was not at all comfortable and we'd have both been crippled in the morning. However ... see what we did like ...
