Waited over an hour for a reserved, pre paid rental. They did not have the size vehicle I wanted or reserved. Car smelled like cigarettes. The one employee had terrible customer service. Overall experience with the rental was fine—pickup and dropoff of the car was smooth and the car itself was clean and nice. However, after dropoff they mistakenly charged me for a full week, over $560, for a 24-hour rental that I had pre-paid. It's been over two weeks and I've had to call customer service twice to get the extra charge refunded, which they assure me will be in my bank account in the next 5-10 days. Customer service has been polite and efficient on each call but I'm lucky to have the time to follow up with them.Reviewed May 3 2022

The Nissan Rogue is a keeper. When traveling cross country from NY to MN, I hit a patch of rough winter weather. This vehicle performed beautifully and the Rochester Hertz gave it to me as an upgrade; so thankful for that. The one recommendation to Hertz that I would make: in addition to providing the street address for the Hertz counter associated with both pick-up and drop-off, provide the customer with additional information such as "at the airport, inside the terminal, near arrivals." Despite possessing an intimate familiarity with the MN location, I had difficulty locating the counter.Reviewed Dec 11 2021
