Pros: Beautiful clean rooms

Pros: Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We checked in early with no additional fee, they gave us sparkling cider instead of champagne upon check in because I'm pregnant, we had complimentary chocolate covered strawberries, and the staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast at the restaurant on site was included in our stay and was delicious. We had an allotted amount of money to spend off of the breakfast menu each day. We tipped our server $15 each day and ended up only paying $6 extra on our bill. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower was huge with great water pressure. Absolutely loved staying here.
Cons: The only thing I found strange is how small the pool is. It worked out because we went to the pool in the morning but by the afternoon it was pretty packed.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: My rom was very spacious ! Bed was marvelous ! Could have used another comfortable chair tho. The pool was awesome ! The pool attendant was very nice ! All the staff was friendly

Cons: Drinks / wine too expensive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and comfortable hotel, situated in a nice location. Large rooms offering all comfort you need. Hotel complex has a very nice flair
Cons: Restaurant on site far too expensive if you travel with family. Could get small snacks at hotel bar, but this is no real alternative. Had to take the car to get a decent meal in the area.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: What's not to like??? Let me begin by apologizing for not getting everyone's names during this visit, so hopefully they will be recognized by the dates of our stay. My husband and I arrive Wednesday, July 10, 2019 and are kindly and promptly greeted by the valet service. We are then guided to the main service desk for check-in at which time we are immediately asked the purpose of our visit. My husband and I exchange a glance and tell him that it's out honeymoon. He became just as excited as we were and offers us champagne and a discounted upgrade to which we graciously accepted. We were escorted to our room by the valet who was very personable and courteous. The room itself was beautiful and comfortable. We were even brought a microwave upon request with utensils because we arrived too late to get to any nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to visit the restaurant/bar on the property or spend much time outside due to the heat but we fully intend to return during the cooler months for another stay!
Cons: The shower had a bit of mold on the ceiling and upper walls. It could use a better cleaning. It was too hot to enjoy time outside....next time.

Cons: Security at pool on Thursday evening very rude! Told us pool closed at 10pm, and we told him would be leaving as soon as we were finished smoking our cigarette. The security told me, “ I don’t want to have to come back in 30 minutes and kick you guys out”. Very rude!
7,9 Good
Pros: View of grass and pools. Greeters were nice and helpful. Check in and move to new room ez. Valet parking sooooo helpful n the guys were GREAT. Super food and shopping. Great weather.
Cons: Room not cleaned and no clean towels TUESDAY wed Thursday. Wednesday they dropped off one set of towels. Thursday I demanded service. Came at 4pm. Could use two suitcase holders vs one. Chair was stained. Lounge chair on balcony wud be nice. People next door let kids sleep outside and they were very loud all night.

Pros: Super friendly staff and excellent customer service!!
Cons: No complaints!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great customer service
Cons: Good music at night, a band!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Our rooms
Cons: It was a very busy weekend and apparently there are different sections of the pool that are reserved for people who rents the canopies, we were not informed on time and when the server came to remove us from the designated area it was almost 4:00pm!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, friendly staff, wonderful pool and lazy river area.
Cons: The restaurants, specifically the Stone Grill was very slow and the service at the restaurant could have been better, more attentive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing!!! Especially the pina coladas.
Cons: Horrible service at Stonegrill. Had to send out food back 2 times and it still wasn't right. Everything else was amazing!!!
7,1 Good
Pros: We liked the spa and lazy river
Cons: They never acknowledged our anniversary. Mody high end resorts do something even a card would have been nice. I will continue to book at montelucia for our anniversary since they go all out.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Landscape was beautiful.
Cons: Pillows were awful and they had no others to provide. Fridge was too small. Room is somewhat worn. There wasn't a spot for the coffee pot without utilizing desk space. No stairs near my room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was very helpful in the check in process amd we were able to check in early.
Cons: Stayed here many times before and parking was free. They now charge a daily parking fee which just feels like another way to overcharge. Isnt that what the resort fee is for??
10,0 Excellent
Cons: There are several areas in the lazy river area that were so slippery on the bridge and walkway around the pool that one person in my party slipped and fell and I witnessed another young man slip and fall. Needs to be addressed
6,0 Good
Pros: Convenience to my meeting space and the swimming pool
Cons: As a business traveler I don't generally like to pay resort fees as I think they are nothing more than another way for the hotel to secure money from me. Marriotts also seem very sterile. The room was not especially clean especially the bedsheets.

Pros: Room was exceptionally clean & nice; peaceful & quiet. Breakfast food was good. I will stay here many more times--that's how nice it was to stay here.
Cons: Wish room TV had pay-per-view movie option; Wish breakfast hours were longer--maybe brunch.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best features of Homewood Suites include: 1) The staff. All employees, ranging from the front desk to the kitchen staff, were extremely friendly and professional. Not to mention that the response time for room service and information was immediate! 2) The room itself. We booked a comfy, king bed suite. The layout was simple, the space between sections of the room was cozy, and the appliances were clean and worked well. The bathroom was clean and had all amenities present (such as bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) 3) The extra perks! The continental breakfast was awesome! They rotate the main food item(s) every day, but what was extra impressive is the options offered for both food and drinks. Some of these items include: Rice, Bagels, Muffins, Yogurt, Cereal, Milk, Skim Milk, Orange Juice, Passion Fruit Guava Juice, Coffee, and the list goes on... You could even take your food to go! And, even though we did not find this out until our last night there, apparently they have an evening social which occurs every Monday - Thursday. Basically free dinner after you look at the menu. On our last night they had a potato bar with all of the necessary fix-ins! Oh, and they do provide alcoholic drinks for their evening socials.
Cons: We loved everything!

5,4 Okay
Pros: The staff hosting the breakfast was super nice. My daughter ran out of whipped cream and immediately a staff member got her a new can. She did this with without being asked, a wonderful attitude, and a smile, which I found so refreshing!
Cons: We found the hotel somewhat ran down and dirty, especially since it had almost a 10 star rating. We have stayed in many Hamptons because they are generally nice and family friendly, but this one... not so much. The beds were absolutely horrible. Like sleeping on the ground while camping, horrible. However, they were in the process of changing out the mattresses, so this could change. We also found the property tidy but not clean. There were mysterious splatters on our bathroom vanity. The bathroom was not cleaned well. The whole hotel also smelled stale. There was worn, chipped and damaged furniture in our room. We were told the property is a little over 10 years old so, it’s probably time for some refreshing. Hopefully, the next time we are at a Hampton it’s closer to what we normally experience.

Pros: Location is excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful lobby and great food and cocktails at the bar. Sticky ribs were amazing! Great pool and gym facilities and both easily accessible and kept very clean. Great experience overall.
Cons: I visited in August when daily temperature was 110-117. While they had an urn of fruit-infused water in the lobby, didn't appreciate the $5 fee for the bottled water in the room. Same price in the gift shop. Kind of tone deaf and not very accommodating.

Pros: Staff was great and hotel was extremely clean
Cons: Was not aware that parking was valet only which cost us an extra $35 a day...not much of a discount if you add that to the total cost of the hotel.

Pros: Great location in centre of Tempe close to bars and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful
Cons: Location
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very comfortable and clean. It’s close to Mill Avenue and walking distance to ASU, Sun Devil Stadium and lots of great restaurants. The kitchenette is always well stocked and great. I stay here frequently when I visit Tempe as it has been a favorite. I have stayed at 6 other Tempe hotels.
Cons: This was the first time I took my dogs with me as it said the hotel was dog friendly. They charge significantly more than any other place to bring your dog. Really $100 non deductible fee? I get $100 deposit in case of damages with a clause that it could be more if the dog destroys the room. But every other place charges a refundable deposit and cleaning fee. Plus there is no close place to take your animal to relieve itself. No bags provided. No little amenities like other hotels for dogs. There is more to being animal friendly than sticking a label on a room door and collecting money. Also the mattresses need to be replaced. They were saggy and both my husband and I left with painful backs on this trip.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service, the room, and the cleanliness
Cons: The parking lot, breakfast was limited and the pool area wasn't like it appeared online
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: We requested a king size bed, but was given a full/queen. When I questioned the front desk, they told me that the room we were assigned was a king bed, but it clearly wasn't. I know the difference between a full/queen and king and we did not have a king bed. It was apparent that the front desk was not going to do anything about it so we put up with it. It was very uncomfortable and I was disappointed that we did not get what we paid for.

Pros: Friendly, great room, quiet - did not hear anything at night, comfortable bed. Also pool was scenic, smaller than I expected but nice. Close to campus. Front desk was very accommodating with holding bags post checkout since we had a very late flight.

Pros: Location was awesome especially if you want to attend a game or venue at Talking Stick Arena. Liked how they kept the historical architecture.
Cons: Would probably prefer Hyatt because of hot tub. On a St Patty's Day with a Suns game going on, a street celebration outside the door and a fairly full bar... on a Saturday... the rooftop bar and the lobby bar closed by 11:30. Lovely night. Keep open!

Pros: Good location but parking was a nightmare! $35 for Valet parking is ridiculous I was told there was cheaper parking in the garage next door but it turned out it was completely coned off and only for business visitors I ended up doing meter parking! What a pain for two days
Cons: The parking situation was a nightmare

Pros: Nice hotel for the money. Nice bar and the food was great. Had a great 3 piece jazz band playing in the evening that was very entertaining.
Cons: Didn't like having to pay $25 a day for parking. I feel that is an unnecessary charge that I wasn't aware of until I checked in. Also, had issues with the internet. I told the front desk and they said they were aware of the issue and that they couldn't do anything to remedy the problem.

Pros: Great value and friendly staff. VIP Suite was huge and aesthetic was modern and comfortable. Convenient proximity to Comerica theatre and the freeway.

Pros: The entire style and museum type interior was very interesting and gave us additional things to talk about.
Cons: The "forced" valet parking for an additional $25 seems a bit inconvenient since there is no other immediate free/paid parking nearby during checkin time (this establishment shares metered street parking with nearby restaurants & apartments, so when we checked in at 6PM, of course there was no open street parking available). To ease the idea of having yet ANOTHER fee to pay, the establishment should just include it in the overall price.

4,2 Okay
Pros: The pool was nice, but pool water was a little slimy
Cons: We were kicked out of the pool 15 minutes before it said it closed. Also got woken up 3 times starting at 7am by house keeping to come in the room and they walked in, and then left and then came back and proceeded to knock on the door for house keeping when check out was at 12pm. We went to go put our luggage in the car and then we were going to watch a movie until check out and as we headed back To the room not even 2 minutes away. The house keeping lady was in our room had our stuff on her cart and threw all our sheets off the bed and was cleaning the room. That was at 10am we had 2 more hours to relax before leaving for our trip. Never going back again

Pros: Everything was great...!!
Cons: Parkingvwas not great...!!!
7,1 Good
Pros: This Marriott is very convenient for Angels Spring Training fans since it is adjacent to Tempe Diablo Stadium and they provide free golf cart shuttles to and from the games (very helpful because there is a STEEP hill involved).
Cons: They didn't want to honor the king bed/resort view room we had paid for and I had to fight with the desk clerk (Travis) to get what I had reserved. A "resort view" room also looks out onto a barren rock. There is no view, it just means you are facing away from the nearby freeway and parking lot. Because it is wrapped around a desert butte, the hotel has a very strange layout that requires LOTS of climbing and walking. We were on the third floor but the elevator only went to the second floor, then we had to climb stairs. Very strange. Because our Marriott Rewards card is in my husband's name (they will only let you put one name on the account) Travis wouldn't allow me (his wife) to check in without going out to the car to get my husband's approval. This is insulting and treats an adult spouse like they are a child! We stay at Marriott properties frequently and this has never happened to us at any other location in the U.S. nor internationally. We have stayed at this hotel several times, but after the hassle we received on this trip, it will be our last.

Cons: Air conditioning struggled. Unable to order the wine I wanted. Dated room, missing knobs, moldy shower. And a charge for using my visa. Really, how about the cost of doing business? Pros: Everything was perfect. I didn't think true hospitality existed anymore. The room was incredibly comfortable and quiet. Serenity spilled out of the sheets on my King Sized bed. If you need a weekend to escape your stressful life, stay at this hotel. The room service was excellent as well. I assumed the food would be cheap tasting but I was incredibly impressed. I will definitely return and be a loyal customer. Platinum Status here I come!
Cons: I can't think of anything. I would have liked a pet friendly dining area. Or a pet friendly lounge. Maybe that can happen in the future? Please?

Pros: Me and my wife really loved how clean and neat our room was. Once we got to our room at the end of our long day, it was nice and quiet, and we really felt like we were alone. Very, very nice hotel!
Cons: The men who worked the valet parking were very generous, nice, and hard workers, but I would've rather parked in a parking lot or garage instead.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very upscale, modern, aesthetically pleasing. All the guest rooms are on the top floors so you have great city views.
Cons: Parking is valet only, $34 per night for guests, $12 or more for for visitors. I would have gladly parked my own car and carried my own luggage for this price!

Pros: The rooms were beautiful
Cons: The upper level staff was completely robotic. I booked the room through booking.com for a great rate, however there sooo many charges.’I can take responsibility for not reading the fine print so lesson learned. I’m a single mom and I’m also a server so this was something special I saved up for in order to give my 16 year old a very special birthday. We booked two rooms. One of the rooms we used her fathers email. I had received multiple emails confirming our stay he hadn’t received one so I got frantic and booked another one. So now we had three rooms one of which we did not need. I called and told the Westin the situation. I begged them to refund me for the third room that was booked on accident. They were completely heartless. I really hope they needed that $$ for the room as much as I do.

Pros: It was clean as if no other guests had stayed before me.
Cons: I didn’t like that the staff would not extend the time for us to check out a bit later than usual since we were moving in our daughter to ASU. This extra time would have allowed us to enjoy the family events with a long interruption to move car. Not ok.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful and clean. It was so spacious and the staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. The beds were comfortable and clean. The pool was a bit small for the hotel but overall it was great. The amount of security and privacy they provide is outstanding. I will definitely be back.
Cons: The valet prices were a bit high but it was also very convenient given the area the hotel is located.

Pros: Staff was A++. Professional and courteous. We had a dinner appointment outside of the property and the concierge dropped us off and picked us up in the shuttle.
Cons: The property itself was excellent. I only wish it was within walking distance to some of the local shops/restaurants. There is a Chuck E Cheese next door and a factory across the street however the complimentary shuttle more than makes up for that.

Pros: The check in and out was super fast. The hotel was spotless everywhere. The ice machine worked very well. I loved the mini bar with the granite counter top. It was a joy to stay there and i definitely would do it again.
Cons: My room was right next to the executive lounge, so you can hear people going in and out of it frequently. But at night it was not an issue at all. This was the only thing that i could possibly think of. Everything else was perfect.
