9,0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very friendly and attentive. We were slightly late from our expected arrival time due to the long drive from Skye and the host waited patiently for us to check in. We were delighted that we were given a room at the ground floor as we have big luggages with us, which will be tough to be lugged upstairs. Host was really flexible to make changes to our breakfast based on our preferences as well. Thank you so much for sharing good recommendations on where to eat and sight-see. The room was cosy and garden were wonderful as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Welcome and the bar facility
Cons: Bathroom smaller than expected
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome. (Kids loved muffins in room!) I've always loved the idea of a tower and there we were, at the top of the tower with a bathroom to die for. What a lovely view. Our waitress at breakfast was delightful. She was very efficient but always made us feel she had time for us
Cons: We had expected our family rooms to be adjacent to each other rather than a hall between so we felt we had to keep shushing the children up as they kept marching between rooms
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Cooked breakfast had been pre cooked and kept warm so food was not hot enough and had dried out.
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough for u
Cons: Bed was 2 singles pushed together wasn’t as comfy as previous stay x
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness, ready supply of information and service provided by the receptionist was exceptional.
Cons: Nothing
7,0 Good
Pros: The evening meal was excellent. The staff were superb. Breakfast was disappointing - never had "tough" sausages before, bacon also, not perfectly cooked - or cooked to long, not sure. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming.
Cons: We were in the new extension bedroom, number 2. We are both elderly. The Bathroom, though well equipped is simply too small. Difficult to access the bath/shower. The toilet too low and the whole set up cramped, a little more room would make it so much better.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and food was excellent
Cons: Sink was blocked and water from shower took ages to go away

8,0 Excellent
Pros: We thought the food was very good the atmosphere over New Year was good the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: There were a few niggles which should be mentioned; The bedding was creased when we arrived and the towels looked tired, initially we thought we had 'second hand' bedding and the towels were stained. The soap dispenser didn't work very well in the bathroom either. These are all minor niggles. However, one point that was an irritation was the slow service for the evening meal on the second night in the roof terrace restaurant, we were there from 7.30 until 10.30. We weren't too bothered but we think it's worth mentioning. Maybe we have been watching too many four in a bed programmes on TV!! The hotel is a tad tired in places but having said that we received good value for money!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: fantastic
Cons: Start earlier
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It is a lovely old house which is not outdated. The facilities and staff were very good, especially Baillie the “house dog” who is a very friendly german shepherd. We had spa treatments when we arrived and then relaxed for the rest of the stay. The food was excellent.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All staff were friendly and could not have been more helpful. Despite it being New Year, my stay was peaceful and relaxing, just what I wanted!
Cons: The property was fine but thoughtless guests letting doors slam shut was an issue!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely time here on an anniversary weekend. The room, main reception areas and bar are all warm, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely, though there was not much fresh fruit. The staff are very friendly. We thought this hotel was a happy medium - being small enough to feel genuinely homely but big enough to have enough facilities. We did not use the restaurant in the hotel but went to a local restaurant (Yan's) that was very good value for some great cooking and service and less than 15 minutes walk away.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like. However visitors should be aware that the swimming pool is in a separate building and whilst the pool, sauna etc. are nice, the changing rooms are dated and feel more like a public swimming facility than a private club - not bad, just not quite the same experience. Also the rooftop restaurant is great location as long as you get the view - but at night in winter one of its main attractions is obviously not evident.

Cons: We felt that some vehicles were being driven too fast around the estate. I think we had three near misses during the four night stay. The Meikle Resturant was closed the whole time we were there. The hotel was very very quiet at night.
