It was okay - the cold slection was good
The eggs and haggis!
Top likes : - 1) our room, very nice and comfortable 2) breakfast - excellent 3) swimming pool 4) staff - very friendly and attentive 5) location, easy to get to from Edinburgh (by car) 6) location - lovely walks on / near the premises
1) weather 2) some of the lifts only went to certain floors but there was nothing to warn us of this
The bed could have been more comfortable, poor nights sleep.
Food was amazing in piccolo restaurant and the breakfast in the meikle bar was also great. Staff went out their way to help.
The cleanliness of the carpets throughout, piece of chewing gum on stairwell, sat there for the 2 days we stayed . The shower took 10 minutes to heat up, tv in a daft place with regards to bed.
Breakfasts were a bit disappointing The second morning it was so busy, we were directed to a lovely quiet sunroom. Unfortunately the breakfast was lukewarm. People were complaining and leaving the room annoyed. We felt our complaint was handled very professionally. We were still charged for the breakfast. Sausages were very poor quality and no poached eggs on the menu.
