Copenhagen hotels near Holmens Kirke

Pros: Great location right by the historic canal, just 5-minute walk from the underground station. Nice view from the room Breakfast selection was good.

Cons: It was cold inside (integrated heating wasn't working well, and we had to ask for an external heater, which we had to turn off and on in the middle of the night to manage the temperature). The walls were so thin you could hear neighbors in another room loud and clear – no privacy whatsoever. Bathroom design wasn't practical: nowhere to hang a towel. It was quite dark inside. Nobody came to clean the room during the first couple of days

Pros: The location and atmosphere are great.

Cons: The bar area is a bit uninviting, as is the breakfast room, both in the basement. The lounge area is OK but nothing special.

Pros: Location, exceptionally comfortable bed, facilities, breakfast buffet, great restaurant, stylish renovation

Pros: Incredible hotel, with incredible staff, rooms, breakfast and location... really was superb. I can find no faults. From the first moment we entered to the time we had to leave, the level of service and everything about the hotel was faultless. We will be back

Cons: That we had to leave, it had no faults and if there were perhaps that it was just to perfect and made the rest of the trip miserable due to its high standards

Pros: The staff were welcoming and helpful with booking restaurants and providing tips for exploring the city.

Pros: Very good location! Walking distance to all the attractions. Staffs are friendly and the room is clean and comfortable.

Pros: I like the location, it was perfect. TThe first stay there, I wasn't as enamored as I became with the second stay. First time the room was a bit cramped and a bit worn, the second stay the room was much improved. Good service and very helpful staff.

Cons: The firstt time we were there, the room was a bit tired and need to be redone. The second time there we had a remodeled room that was great.

Pros: Good central location

Cons: Elevator not working, you need to climb to the 4th floor, door unmarked, staircase used to store trash bins for the whole building and stink is unbearable. When we came, some repairs were done to plumbing and left unfinished. Hosts are unreachable during weekends on provided number. We decided to move to the hotel as this was unacceptable

Cons: They changed 2 times my credit card for the hotel cost. I need to send them 10 times email to get a refund.

Pros: Rooms. Service. Almost to kind staff.

Cons: When we arrived after an overnight flight, feeling very tired, the hotel computer was down and we had to wait for a coup[e of hours in the lobby for it to be fixed. The hotel should have made some sort of small gesture to compensate us for this. Also the breakfast included thawed frozen fruit which had turned rancid one day. The next hotel in Bergen had FRESH fruit. like melon, cantaloupe and kiwi. was was cut up and delicious.

Pros: The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see. I lost my luggage and the staff was very helpful to me, helping call a doctor for prescriptions, where to get more clothes etc. they were very nice.

Cons: The towel I used in the AM looked like someone had previosly used it for toilet paper. Grossed me out. Not something you'd expect at a higher $ hotel.

Pros: Staff were all very nice in dealing with a poor hotel, facilities, and management. I do not fault the staff for the low quality of our stay.

Cons: We did not have the right room, but were moved to a room that resembled the one I booked. In the morning there was no water. No cold water, no hot water - no water. We were told we could shower in another room and given a key. Luckily, the water was restored, but only after hours of waiting. Do not stay here until all the construction is finished.

Cons: my flight on SAS 5/21 was cancelled due to Pilots strike so it was impossible for me to honor my res.at Hotel Neptune on 5/22. I called kayak to arrange refund and was assured that this would happen and you would call me back to confirm. As of today I have yet to hear back from you. Please let me know when I can expect to see the refund on my CC. If you need further documentation regarding the flight cancellations and pilots strike I can provide though I would assume you know about it since that is your business. Regards Jimmy Galle

Pros: Lovely hotel in a fantastic location for city centre and sightseeing, Nyhaven and it's wonderful bars and restaurants is just around the corner and the Little Mermaid etc is 15 mins walk away. The staff were very helpful and attentive and there is a good bar and the restaurants connected to the hotel are great! There is a little shop on the corner of the street which is really lovely too. The rooms are small but well decorated and cozy, there is a mini bar although it is quite expensive and much room as required.

Cons: The pillows were not very good

Pros: Great location and décor. The renovations are nice and the staff were very courteous and helpful

Cons: One of the elevators was a bit slow and the bathroom was a bit cramped as the door hit the sink.

Pros: Great location within walking distance to Nyhavan and Metro. Decent neighbourhood with some shops and cafe around for a cup of coffee and pastries. Will probably stay there again if the price is right. Room size is good compares to other European hotel. Do ask for air-conditioned room when booking. Our room has air-conditioning but my sister’s room doesn’t. Overall, a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

Cons: Would be nice if the washroom has more space.

Cons: Under construction/renovation so lots of noise starting around 7:00.

Cons: If your room is around the main courtyard, you will hear crashing noises that keep you awake all night.

Pros: Staff were very friendly, like the rest of Copenhagen their English was amazing. The lounge area was lovely although we didn't get time to sit in it. The rooms were decorated to a high spec including the bathroom- the shower was great.

Cons: there wasn't enough tea and coffee supplied and the room and bathroom was quite small for a four day stay. We didn't have enough places to put our clothes etc and I hate living out of a suitcase. The menu in the restaurant was very small so we didn't bother eating in there.

Pros: Everything! Quiet, lovely room overlooking the courtyard. Aesthetically attractive and eco-friendly. Wonderful staff. Convenient location to train station and easy walk to all places we wished to visit.

Pros: The style of rooms and the hotel was cosy and warm. Beds were incredibly comfortable and warm. Room sizes were excellent. Location is superb with a minute walk to the central train station and the metro.

Cons: Shower drainage in the bathroom would often cause pooling within the bathroom, covering most of the floor.

Pros: This hotel was a pleasant surprise as we were unexpectedly delayed and found this last minute. Price was very fair and we were not expecting anything special but found this beautiful, quirky place with beautifully decorated rooms, a relaxing courtyard.

Cons: Unfortunately it must have been garbage collection day and early in the morning it was quite noisy outside our room making it impossible to sleep past 6am but we probably got one of the last rooms that was on the noisy side of the hotel?

Pros: The rooms and the rest of the hotel is cozy and definitely worth a visit.

Cons: We decided to try the spa out. That turned out to be a weird experience. First in order to get to the spa from our room, we had to go in robes (that had holes in them) from our rooms. This was because there was no changing room in the spa. So we took the elevator down in to the reception just opposite the restaurant. Getting out of that elevator in our robes was embarrassing to say the least! Such a strange experience walking through the entire reception in robes and slippers. Then we had to cross the garden in freezing winter in order to get to the other building where the spa was located. This might have been alright in summer. But hardly in the dead of winter. Then we got to the spa which was in the basement of the other building. And the impression was that it was really a very small space. With a mixed gender shower. So no intimate washing as people had to have their swimsuits on. Then the whole floor was covered in coffee grinds (some sort of pealing) but it just made the place look dirty. There were no where to hang out robes our towels. The noise from the bubble bath resulted in an atmosphere that was just the opposite from relaxing. The other bath was a cold one. So cold intact that no one used it. A cold shower would have been enough. The best thing there was the two saunas which where both good. I definitely don’t recommend the spa. I wouldn’t even if it was included in the price.

Pros: Very nice and comfortable rooms. Really liked the 4 poster bed and general eco friendly approach. Restaurant food was excellent. Location is right in the heart of the city, 2 steps away from the train station.

Pros: The easy access this hotel has to many of the sites that are to be seen in Copenhagen. This hotel is only worth it, if you wish to have easy access to everything. I would not recommend staying at this hotel if individuals wish to have a nice hotel experience. My wife and I realized it was not worth staying at this hotel.

Cons: We did not like that the rooms were way too small. The rooms portrayed online and through the websites make the rooms appear bigger than they are. It was hard for my wife and I to move around and we only had backpacks with us. The bathroom was another story and we hated it. The bathroom floor is literally one floor where you stand on which you shower, go bathroom, and use the mirror. The toilet holder was barely holding onto the wall and fell off a couple times and the towel holders were in the same condition.
