Cons: We were woken up at 6.30am by somebody stacking glasses/cups in the corridor outside the room. The cleaning staff accidentally broke a medicinal product and left a note but this was not mentioned when we checked out.

In the circumstances of lack of parking places in the center of Copenhagen, the hotel has own parking slots in the nearby underground parking (payable additionally, at lower than the usual price). Strongly recommended!

Pros: This is the perfect hotel for you to use if you are planning on getting to the Copenhagen airport. The Central Train Station is a very short walk from the hotel where you can pick up a train that will deliver you to the airport in three, short stops. The hotel's location is also great if you want to go to Tivoli Garden and enjoy the downtown restaurants or walk around on the pedestrian streets.
Overall, the hotel room was very clean and the room was sufficiently large so that you're not crowded. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. A small safe was provided for storage of items you don't want out in the open. An early breakfast starting at 6:30AM was provided as part of the room cost which worked well for us before starting on our trip back home. The breakfast had everything you would want, including hot service such as eggs, cold cut meats, bread, yogurt, etc.
Well done! I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Copenhagen.

Pros: Bed was super comfy. Breakfast selection seemed small but in actual fact was endless! There was nothing else you could have wanted! Staff were amazingly accommodating and everyone was so happy and helpful! The decor is very Funky too and added to the magic! Best part for us was they knew it was our minimoon and left us a little treat in our room: very sweet :-)

Cons: There were only two, small things that I didn't like about the hotel; the lack of soap for the shower and their system of storing bags should you arrive before your room is available.
Usually, hotels will provide a hard bar of soap you can take into the shower or else provide a dispenser for a body wash liquid in the shower. In this case, there was no hard soap available and the body wash liquid dispenser was outside of the shower over the sink requiring you to open the curtain and lean out. Not a big deal.
Their storage of your bags if you arrive early is a little curious. The front desk will take your name and check on your room's availability. In the meantime, if you want to store your luggage, the hotel will give you a key card that allows you access to a luggage storage room. You retain this key card until you are formally checked in. Once checked in, your room key will also open the luggage storage room. Unfortunately, everyone else who arrives early also gets a key card. Thus any luggage you've placed into the storage room is now open to everyone else who also gets an access card while waiting for their room as well as those who have a room card. I would think that controlling the access to the "luggage room" to only hotel staff would make more sense from a security perspective.

Cons: When we arrived after an overnight flight, feeling very tired, the hotel computer was down and we had to wait for a coup[e of hours in the lobby for it to be fixed.
The hotel should have made some sort of small gesture to compensate us for this.
Also the breakfast included thawed frozen fruit which had turned rancid one day. The next hotel in Bergen had FRESH fruit. like melon, cantaloupe and kiwi. was was cut up and delicious.

Will probably stay there again if the price is right. Room size is good compares to other European hotel. Do ask for air-conditioned room when booking. Our room has air-conditioning but my sister’s room doesn’t. Overall, a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

Pros: Staff were all very nice in dealing with a poor hotel, facilities, and management. I do not fault the staff for the low quality of our stay.
Cons: We did not have the right room, but were moved to a room that resembled the one I booked. In the morning there was no water. No cold water, no hot water - no water. We were told we could shower in another room and given a key. Luckily, the water was restored, but only after hours of waiting. Do not stay here until all the construction is finished.

Pros: Great location within walking distance to Nyhavan and Metro. Decent neighbourhood with some shops and cafe around for a cup of coffee and pastries. Will probably stay there again if the price is right. Room size is good compares to other European hotel. Do ask for air-conditioned room when booking. Our room has air-conditioning but my sister’s room doesn’t. Overall, a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

The room itself was not too small, but really well organized. If we return to Copenhagen we'll return to Skt. Anne as well :)

Cons: I hate to provide anything negative since it was perfect. This is for marketing and business purposes only as I would want to know this as well: our rooms were on the first floor and you could hear the front doors opening and closing 24/7. I am a light sleeper so I needed ear plugs, but for my husband and child they had no issues. :).

Cons: Rooms for a hotel in this category are a bit spartan. The hotel is showing some wear and tear. Biggest problem was the noise. It was late September and the weather was not hot, not cold. The hotel had turned on the heat, despite my trying to turn it off. The heat was considerable. I opened the windows to get fresh air and keep the room bearable, but the street noise (all night) was incredibly loud. The hotel is right next to the University, so it was not a surprise as students come home from the bars (until 6am), but it led to a night of little sleep.

Cons: the hotel was not in full capacity in low season. the room given to us was all the way in the back next to the dumpster with utilities view. When requested a different room with a more decent view, received the same response of having no other room in the same category and requested higher price for a different room. My reservation was not cheap, and i don't think is fair to be in an unpleasant room when the hotel has available capacity to make its guests´stay pleasant.

Cons: House keeping was not at its best coming from a 4* hotel. There were days that the towels were not replaced, the mini bar was not replenished and they only give 1 coffee, 1 coffee mate, 1 tea per person per day. One day the mini bar was replenished but they did not replace the coffee cups we had to just wash it. there was a spileage on the bed covers the next day the house keepers just flipped the duvet covers so we wont see that they have not changed the sheets.

Pros: My wife and I spent two days in Copenhagen and we could not be more pleased with The Strand. It is about a 2 minute walk down from Nyhaven, making it incredibly easy to get to and from. It is also right next to the water and the footbridge across the water, making it very easy to get to the other side of Copenhagen where Christiania is located and wonderful food spots. The hotel also rents out bikes for a fair price and the bikes were incredibly nice. A built in locking feature so the bike is secure when you are gone, it was a wonderful addition to the trip. The room itself was comfortable, the bathroom had a tub, and the bed was very nice. Overall, a great hotel for a good price, we would definitely stay here again.

You can get easily to the hotel with subway. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for those who want to have some nice budget city break. Hope to see you again

Cons: Room was pretty small and Spartan, no suitcase stands or toiletries, very few power outlets especially near beds. No air conditioning and heater did not work. Midweek price was way too high--I wouldn't pay more than $200 out the door...

Pros: Located in the "cheap hotel district" this is exactly what we were hoping for from our stay! Terrific location (next door to the main train station), clean hotel, nice staff with easy check-in/check-out process, and a breakfast buffet that gives you a little taste of what the food will be like! Enjoyed our stay!
Cons: Rooms are small which we knew. Also, buffet does get crowded as others have mentioned but would recommend for a fine spread of bread, meat, eggs, and some fruit! Would also recommend bringing your own soap/shampoo.

Cons: Housekeeping was very poor. They just make your bed and replace towels...glasses were not replaced. Trash was never emptied. Minibar items never replaced.
Also frosted glass door to toilet was strange and awkward. I'm all for open modern design but not where you are sitting on toilet and you can be seen.

Cons: The room was incredibly small, the housekeeping was appalling. The bed was not cleaned properly, nor was the bathroom. Room service i had ordered one night, was not disposed of when the room was “cleaned” so was left all day with the room smelling of stale food when I got back in the evening. I rang the front desk three times before it was collected or disposed off. I was given breakfast vouchers on arrival which I kept my the bed, but cleaners threw them away or took them. The hair dyer in the bathroom did not work, so left for my meeting in the morning with wet hair. Overall an overpriced property for a stay in a poor facilities that are not well maintained. Will not stay again.

Cons: I arrived after 12:00 and was told that a room at my level was not available while others were allowed to go to their rooms. I asked if I could be called or texted when it was available, I was told no, I just needed to keep coming back and asking. That is not 4-star service.
I found out later from a friend that she was told the same thing, but she told them no, I want a room now, and she was given one.
On top of that, the rooms are very small for a 4-star hotel. I won't stay there again.

Cons: No kitchen facilities - very odd for a hostel. Only one working lift which was quite slow, also could be accessed by anyone just walking in off the street as the reception is up on the first floor. The entrance is also used for the Ice Bar, so sometimes a battle to get through the crowd of people to even get in the building.

Cons: I thought when the description said "shared bathroom" it meant like a dorm or locker room with stalls to accommodate the entire hallway. But NO. This place had 1 private washroom for a hallway of about 5 guest rooms. With multiple guests per room. There was 1 toilet, and 1 shower, and 1 door.
There's no fans or AC, which I expected, but if you open your windows for air be prepared for the noise of drunk guests at the bars and strip club down the street.

The breakfast was so late in the morning that we had to leave for the airport before eating and the reception desk closes early in the evening and opens late in the morning with no one available during those times.

Cons: The room is in need of a little refurbishment, as there was quite a lot of wear and tear e.g lots of paint chips on the doors, loose socket and an exposed electric wire. Also I think the window might be a bit dangerous, as we were on the 20th floor and it could open fully :-/

Cons: I did not like having to contact security/front desk on three occasions - once on night two, twice on night three. To complain about excessive noise for long periods during the night from fellow guests which kept my partner and I awake most of the night. So much so, that on checking out I was offered a refund(which I have still to recieve?) for my final night as there had been several complaints of this.

Pros: The location is great with many attractions within walking distance. We liked the minimalist decor of the rooms. Bathroom was a nice size. Breakfast had a great selection and service was very good. Nice bar with a courtyard so you could sit outside.
