But not only that, there was a passenger seated in the middle seat who was not well and she kept feeling nausea and wanting help but the crew did not know what else to do having asked if there was a doctor on board. But they were not very gentle with her in their responses. I am not sure if this had anything to do with the fact that she was a muslim dressed in traditional gear."

My previous operator sent my luggage to SAW as final destination, which means i have to cross passport control, collect my luggage and start the check-in process; given the time window between the flights, that was simply impossible. TURKISH AIRLINE's ground staff - transit team of SAW airport - Made it happen! I was requested just to wait, then they confirmed transferring the luggage and gave me respective tags! landed CDG - Paris to find my bag safe and sound :)"

Out of two weeks of vacation I ended up spender at least six of them b in the airport. Istanbul was total chaos. I understand that the weather was a major factor but the Turkish employees should be better trained in how to handle such crisis and be able to better direct people were to go. Having to pay out of pocket m ok Neyland for food at the airport was ridiculous."

Cons: "I've flown Turkish a few times before, and they're generally pretty good for the price. This trip was different. Despite Turkish Airlines policies outlined in their "Customer Rights," I received no notification that the flight was delayed 3 hours, and there was no notification at the JoBurg airport until you go to the counter to check in. JoBurg staff - which are Menzies third-party contractors, not Turkish staff - were disorganized, uncommunicative, and unhelpful. Only one person at the check in desk seemed to have authorization to make any changes, so all other agents were running back and forth to speak with him, and not communicating with passengers. It took over an hour to get clarity on the situation and rebook my connecting flight to Washington for a different flight 8 hours later. The only compensation offered was one meal voucher worth R100 (roughly $7). They would not even look at other Star Alliance flights for early arrival in Washington, and said they were not authorized to consider upgrading my ticket. When I called the Turkish customer service, they essentially said "What do you want us to do about it? You have to submit a formal complaint." Boarding was totally disorganized. In theory there are boarding groups, but after business class and all the high-ranking loyalty members, it's pretty much a mad rush. This seems to be the common practice for Turkish now. In general, Turkish has a great entertainment system on all their long-haul flights, with tons of movies - including very new releases - music, games, etc. They also provide complimentary kits with socks, slippers, eye mask, earplugs and dental kit, even for economy passengers. The meals are fairly good for airlines. However, legroom in economy isn't great. I'm 6'1", and had difficulty getting comfortable with my knees jammed into the back of the seat in front of me. On this particular flight, I was in row 18. The cabin crew were frantic, disorganized, and shouting to each other across passengers. One half of our row was served the meal, and the other half had to wait over 30 minutes to be served for some reason. By that time the vegetarian option was no longer available. Crew also had to run back and forth between service carts because they were frequently out of very common beverages (like sparkling water. And ice.), and on two occasions crew left a drawer from a cart full of trash sitting in the aisle. There were several times that crew ran carts into passengers - including once into my knee that was not in the aisle - and didn't even acknowledge doing so. They also stopped the carts in front of occupied lavatories, temporarily trapping passengers. So not terribly professional. While not specifically on this flight, the experience in Istanbul airport with Turkish Airlines' staff was awful. Zero interest in helping, rude and dismissive, and overall terrible."

And they lost the record of my payment, so I had to show 4 times the Amex receipt showing that I had paid before. It took 45 minutes and 4 non receptive agents for me to get my luggage checked. British Airways is significantly better."

I had to sit on an angle (one butt cheek at a time) for 9 yours. I do not have a big butt either. This seat should have been a discounted seat, not a premium seat. I am so angry about this, I will NEVER fly Air France again."

Even when I was awake it appeared I was being overlooked, ignored and left out of complimentary services I saw other receiving....my bad for not asking to be noticed."

Food was nothing great but nothing disastrous, booze was handed out willingly, staff were efficient, plane was on time - I rate it higher than SAA for the same leg and would choose KA again."

Cons: "They served "breakfast" halfway through which was two tiny servings of meat and a piece of chocolate cake. Not much food and not really what I wanted to eat in the middle of the night! Boarding was completely chaotic, some screens said the flight was delayed, others said it was on time (it was delayed). When we arrived in Nairobi they hardly apologized for the delay, and also insisted on sending a bus to come pick us up from the plane because it was raining, which took forever. Missed my connection by about 5 minutes and had to wait almost 10 hours for the next one."

Cons: "The airline doesn't accept payments for changing flights over the phone. I arrived at Lilongwe airport and they said I couldn't pay them there and that I should pay in Nairobi. The plane was of course late leaving Malawi and when I arrived in Nairobi, the plane was getting ready to leave. The customer service line had +20 people in it. I waited my turn then the agent said it was my fault that I missed the flight and the next flight would be $243 USD instead of $90 like the gate agent stated. Then they told me I had to pay the $243 in cash and they didn't accept credit cards. All of the ATMs were broken there. I returned to the agent and they did accept credit cards, they just didn't want to go to the office to swipe it. The entire ordeal took +4 hours. Worst customer service ever."

Cons: "With the exception of one male flight attendant who was friendly and professional, the Kenya airways flight attendants were surly, invompetent and unprofessional. One yelled at us for asking if we could get a vegetarian meal (on the advice of another Kenya airways flight attendant). Another only bothered to give water to the first 2/3 of the plane and then for some unknown reason simply stopped passing out water. All three of the Kenya airways fights were late but no one said so or why. I would avoid this airline at all costs."

Pros: "My travel itinerary was one with long layover times. Thank you Kenya, Airways for allowing the day use of your lounge areas for a fee. Got some sleep, a wonderful Turkey Lunch on Christmas Day, before my connecting flight to Guangzhou. Smooth Short field landing and take off in the 787-8. No rattling sounds during landing and take off so the Plane must have also been new. Kudos!!"

Food for thought, could the toliets on flights be designated according to gender? toilet seat was always covered in sprayed urine( which I wiped clean every time before sitting and using the toilets, made several trips during the 9 hour flight. Hand Soap run out at some point."

Cons: "I had 3 hours in Johannesburg before catching a shuttle bus, so being an hour late wasn't a big problem. After rushing from Entebbe flight which was an hour late leaving and arriving, I got to the gate to be informed that this NBO to JNB flight was an hour late in departing. Pilot said it was due to "technical difficulties". My ticket had 4 legs : Nov 28 due to leave JNB at 1:20 finally left at 8:30 due to NBO runway closed from plane belly landing - the pilot was very apologetic - LATE. Dec 5 NBO to Entebbe was an hour late due to "passenger problem and luggage taken off" - LATE. Dec 10 Entebbe to NBO left an hour late due to "plane arriving late" - LATE. Dec 10 NBO to Johannesburg was an hour late due to "technical difficulties" - LATE. All 4 flights were at least an hour late leaving and arriving yet the pilots all said thanks for flying Kenya Airways - the Pride of Africa. This is what Africa should be proud of ?!? and Kenya Airways is proud of ?!? Passengers I talked to all were negative in their comments about Kenya Airways. All said there is ALWAYS something of a problem on a Kenya Airways flight. Lady on NBO to EBB flight next to me as we boarded plane and I said everything has gone smoothly so far, replied - the flight isn't over yet - and then we sat in the plane for an hour while they "removed passengers luggage". A man in NBO departure area as we waited to board JNB late flight said, the procedures and organisation are terrible with problems most of the time, which was why he was using up his reward miles because he didn't want to fly Kenya Airways again. This is the culture of this airline which is allowed to continue with seemingly no regard for the paying customers. If the powers that be such as the FAA, imposed a $100 credit to each passenger for late leaving or arriving, I would have received $400 back on a ticket that cost $750. Maybe the airlines would do something practical to remedy their problems and care for the paying customers rather than just saying "we are sorry for any inconvenience "."
Pros: "KQ is the best East African airline by far. The planes are newer and cleaner and the flight attendants really do make an effort to give a high-level of customer service. I've missed my transfer due to a weather delay before and was impressed with KQs attention to getting me overnight accommodation. It would be great if we could sort out the regular delays of KQ410 into Entebbe which directly impacts KQ411 back out to NBO. The regular delays are often due to weather but just as often due to scheduling or flight issues. Delaying that flight makes my transfers really tight and adds some stress to my experience, especially with the extra security level in Nairobi. If we could find a way to fast track transfers, that would be an improvement. Overall, KQ is the best, but please continue to find ways to be better."

Listening on earphones I was able to hear everything clearly. Why it had to take so long just to give me earphones I don't know."

Last, but not least, when we landed in Newark we waited 2 hours for our luggage to come out. We landed at 9:50pm and didn't receive our baggage until 11:50pm. My friend and I were not even the last to get our bags. Overall this was the worst flight experience I've ever had."
