10,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast with home-made food; lovely people, good location
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The hosts shared not only their home but their time and themselves - loved the way they seemed to share everyone's language and culture and made us all feel at home. The location is fantastic; a short walk into the old city and the hosts provided maps and information on places of interest. Breakfast was superb on a number of levels, the food was home-made/cooked, varied and tasty, the company was fun and the views across the valley are breathtaking. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept well - we would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance!
Cons: Rooms would have benefited from being a little bit bigger
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very welcoming and speak multiple languages fluently. We received great advice on what to do and where to go around Carcassonne and some great history of the area. (While being served wine and infused water). The location is peaceful and is fantastic. You can walk to the walled Cité de Carcassone if you want to. The swimming pool is a nice escape from the summer heat! Breakfast was amazing And included fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, breads and preserves, and eggs and sliced meats and cheeses.
Cons: Everything met or far exceeded our expectations.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: There was lots to like: - Quirky rooms and unusual furnishings - A nice clean pool - Possibly the best picture postcard location view of Carcassonne that anyone could find, is from the grounds and has a picnic table - The amazing breakfast handcooked with love and so much attention to detail - The friendliness and warmth of the host - Even the walk into the old town is a highlight as it is down a minor country road with vineyards in all directions
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Lovely villa. Unique accommodation. Very tranquil but within easy walking distance to old and new town. Juliette was most helpful and welcoming. We only had an overnight stay but would have no hesitation in recommending this excellent chamber denote.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located Charming & caring host Comfortable maison Well working WiFi
Cons: Main short coming: no air conditioning in the room (only a fan) -> it was barely possible for us to sleep at night
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The homemade jamsi
Cons: I would have liked more fruit & fruit flavoured yogurt!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Outside is just a door in a wall, but when you go in it is like ‘The Secret Garden’ beautiful Juliette supplied a wonderful continental breakfast and had bottles of wine just take and pay the next day Small but adequate pool Best location
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Villa Carcassonne is a little paradise. Modern and tastefully decorated (I think the photos make it look a bit old fashioned, which is absolutely not the case). Gardens similarly lovely and peaceful. Private carpark is very useful in Carcassonne! Super comfortable bed and bathroom, pool a bonus. Breakfast was also great, and Juliette is responsive and friendly. We have no hesitation recommending this property. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Fridge wasn't strong enough to chill our drinks in the middle of summer but probably fine the rest of the year.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gorgeous property, set on a quiet leafy street yet just a 2 minute walk to a lovely street with lots of restaurants and less than a 10 minute walk to the castle. The room was very comfortable, clean and well presented and plenty of room for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children). It was also great to have parking and a swimming pool at such a central location. Juliette was very welcoming and accommodating for our arrival and departure allowing us to park before our offical check in and also to leave our car there after our check out for a couple of hours. Also it is a nice touch that she has stocked the fridge in the kitchen with bottles of wine that you may help yourself to during your stay and pay for on check out.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The host, Juliette couldnt do enough for you. Very pleasant and fluent in many languages. The little pool area is beautiful and the beds are the most comfortable we've ever slept in away from our home. The location, just 5-10 minute walk inbetween the old and new city is perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Juliette was a great host, the hotel met all our expectations and more. Carcassonne was lovely, we even got to go and see Tosca in the castle, courtesy of a nice gentleman who GAVE us some tickets to the show (Nice Man). We were driving Dow to Spain and decided to break the journey and we are so glad we did. Hopefullly we will be going back again for a longer stay.
Cons: The room was lovely with a great view to the battlements of the castle.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while we visited Carcassonne. Our stay was splendid....the hosts could not have been more accomodating! Nothing was too much trouble and they clearly went out of their way for their guests. The room was very clean and the AC worked well... which was wonderful considering that we there at the end of August! They have a beautiful back garden where you can have their delicious buffet breakfast which we would recommend. Also, we had a glass of wine there before heading out in the evening for dinner. Our room (#19) overlooked the ramparts of Carcassonne which were breathtaking in the evening when they were all lit up!! We would definitely return to this lovely establishment!
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was cordial and helpful. There is a terrace on the top floor with a spectacular view of the Castle. This alone made the place worth the cost. The rooms were spacious and charmingly decorated. We had a room to sleep 4 ppl and it was comfortable for everyone. I definitely recommend it.
Cons: The air conditioner was not working. The bathroom had a strong sewage-like smell (we kept the window wide open and closed the bedroom door to contain the smell). The breakfast was priced higher than the content's worth.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful old building with the nicest hosts. Our room was beautifully appointed and the location is fabulous! It’s close to the citadel of Carcasonne and there are some lovely places to eat in the same street. There is a delightful garden out the back. Loved it!

Pros: The property is very beautiful, and the staff made everything perfect. We had an excellent dinner at the property restaurant.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with well-appointed room, good outside space and a nice pool. Very nice breakfast.
Cons: We were a party of six and had booked and paid for six people. However, when we came to check out the hotel said we had only booked for four and had to pay a supplement. A phone call to booking.com resolved the situation, but beware if you are booking for a larger group. The owner's rather aggressive handling of the situation soured an otherwise very pleasant stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This beautifully restored chateau was the perfect spot for our stay. The welcome we received from Emma set the tone. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the pool provided much needed relief after a hot day at Carcassonne. Be sure to have dinner at the restaurant - one of our favourite meals in France. This really was a fabulous spot!

Pros: We were amazed at how beautiful this Château hotel actually is. Although we had obviously seen the photos, it is such a delightful surprise to pull up outside. The grounds are beautifully kept and tranquil. Amazing secluded pool! The interior of the hotel has been renovated so tastefully keeping the feel of a beautiful french residence whilst being equipped with modern fixtures and fittings. Breakfasts were excellent. Staff fabulous. Too many superlatives I know but cannot honestly fault it. Oh and we had 3 amazing meals at the restaurant next door, S Comme. Wow. We want to go back. It is worth noting that the hotel is 10 minutes out of Carcassone but as we had a car this was fine for us. Excellent car parking available.
Cons: Loved everything
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice sized room, clean and with comfortable bed. Good parking -free Easy drive to Carcassonne Host provided good information.

Pros: The hotel staff were extremely kind, helpful and efficient. The hotel was immaculate and the pool a delight. It was a really relaxing place to stay for a few days while on our way to our sons wedding near Montpellier. The restaurant within the grounds was also excellent. It was good to be close to explore carcassonne but far enough out of town to have peaceful and relaxing times. Plenty of secure parking which was important to us. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing, we thought everything was ideal for a relaxing stay.

Cons: Perhaps a few more loungers around the pool area as we struggled a couple of times to get a lounger.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: very, very helpful staff, who could not have done anymore to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. accommodation was spot on.
Cons: overly expensive "continental breakfast"!... At 48Euros/day (for 2 adults & 2 children) this was over priced for what was offered.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Attentiveness of staff. Cleanliness. Smart decor.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing, just a short walk away from the Carcassonne fortress (approx 7 min by foot or 10 if you are a slow walker). Hotel is located in a very quiet area, our room had a beautiful view towards an equally beautiful garden. My wife and I stopped here for a night in our route towards Granada and it was indeed the relaxing oasis we were hoping for. Room was sufficiently big, aircon was on and all amenities needed (elevator, toiletries etc) were in place. The receptionist was very helpful and provided us with all needed information. Before leaving, we had a very nice breakfast on the terrace, just perfect ahead of a long drive of 1600 km. Only regret is that we stayed just 1 night :).
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfort, cleanliness and quality of room
Cons: Sound insulation between rooms was poor Breakfast should be included
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We loved the whole experience of the hotel
Cons: We were told there is wifi to all the rooms..........not so, we could only get an internet connection in the lobby of the hotel. They kept saying at reception that there IS wifi to the rooms, but there isn't which was a nuisance, having to go downstairs to get online.

Pros: Absolute fantastic property and location for us , Serge and muryel were the perfect hosts , the accommodation were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, we will be back for sure in the not too distant future
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was a return visit to the area and we would not consider staying anywhere else. The standard of customer service is beyond anything you could possibly expect. Serge and Muryel are the perfect hosts and their approach to guests is fantastic. The city is a beautiful base to travel in the area and I would highly recommend staying here. you will not be disappointed.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about Domaine de Marseillens. Serge and Muryiel were so welcoming and friendly it was a real home from home. We loved the location half way between the medieval city and Lake Cavayère although you may need a car if you don’t want to walk far. The hotel is a little bit different from the usual, individual and very French in character. We absolutely loved it.
Cons: Nothing at all, we liked everything.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The old renovated farm is beautiful. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, and the breakfast fresh and tasty. It's not very far from Carcassonne's Citadel by car, which makes it a perfect place to stay to discover the wonderful city while being far from civilisation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Just two mins drive from the walled city of Carcassone, this property is a little gem. The facilities are excellent with a lovely pool and sunbathing area; the rooms are very individually styled and comfortable, lots of stone and wood make this a really interesting place to stay. Serge and Muryel are absolutely lovely hosts serving a superb breakfast, they made us very welcome and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Nothing!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast choices served at large communal table. Muryel and Serge are good hosts who took the trouble to introduce us to fellow guests. The location is very quiet but only a few minutes from the walled town by car and on the same side of town as the large parking areas. Property is old and atmospheric.
Cons: Would have liked a full shower in the bathroom but there was a beautiful old bath with a very good hand shower so cant say we didn’t like it! That would just be icing on the cake!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is brilliant all fresh produce and beautiful freshly made smoothies. You are made to feel very comfortable and an extension of the family so much so I've decided to adopt Serge and Myrial as my French parents. They couldn't do anymore for me and my partner if they tried. Drove us into city for our evening meal every night in a nice Jaguar which by Taxi would cost £15.00 each way. I also requested drinks on arrival which was left in fridge for us ready at no extra cost as they would not accept payment for they said it's a gift! The rooms are beautiful had a look in them all they are stunning so eclectic too perfect can't wait to go back.
Cons: NOTHING

Pros: A dreamy home at walking distance from the castle. The owner was super kind and helpful and served an amazing breakfast too.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations were elegant. Everything was provided that one might need, including an exterior drawing room. Tha breakfast was more than ample. Parking was right on the gated premises. One of the best B&B s we have had the pleasure to visit. So conveniently located as well.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful house renovated with taste, large bedroom and bathroom, a very nice, helpful and friendly host who made excellent recommendation fir the best restaurant ever inside La Cite (Comte Roger), nice breakfast.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: elegant but up to date room - good bathroom and excellent french breakfast including fresh croissants. owner was quite friendly and we chatted in his limited english and our limited french.
Cons: ground floor room fine for a couple of nights but probably worth paying extra for old city views upstairs. also advise phoning in advance of arrival - we got there at 1720 and had to wait for the owner to turn up.

Pros: Location and surrounding is amazing, very quiet and beautiful (close to Carcassone). Comfortable appartment. Nice swimming pool with great view on Arragon and grape hills. And most importantly the food, dinner was one of the best in France!

Cons: A bit remote
7,5 Good
Pros: Food was excellent, both at dinner and breakfast Owners very cooperative Extremely quiet environment
Cons: Bathroom limited
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had spacious rooms which opened on to a small patio and the garden and pool. Perfect accommodation in the summer heat. The chef is acknowledged as exceptionally good and we loved our dinner served on the terrace overlooking the beautiful countryside. This is a small hotel and restaurant where you receive excellent personal service.
Cons: The breakfast was done nicely but was limited to coffee, orange juice, small pastries and bread. We would have liked a bit more variety, such as eggs.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a beautiful location on the top of a hill in a stone village, simple and comfortable, quiet and picturesque. Food was amazing, as was the wine pairing, but the menu of the day is what you get, so if you are particular about what you eat this may not suit.
7,1 Good
Cons: Very overpriced breakfast

Pros: Lovely, clean and close to the castle and town. Excellent breakfast for the price.
Cons: No WiFi in our room.
6,7 Good
Pros: In general the hotel is good (especially the location)
Cons: Overpriced
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent, 2 minute walk to the old city. Hotel was basic but clean. Staff were pleasent and there is off street parking. Nice bathroom and air conditioned rooms.
Cons: Nothing really athough the lights on the bed headboard are a little low.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The best of all was the perfect view from the breakfast balcony - you could eat with the view of the Carcassonne towers, that was unforgettable, the kids loved it. It is a nice, quiet, little hotel 200m from the historical gate to the Carcassonne old town, it was a winner! We totally recommend it. You have to see the old town in the dark, it is like a nice fairy tail . During the day there are too many visitors, you cannot enjoy it as much...
Cons: The beds were too short - or we are too tall. ;)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location just a stone's throw from the city walls. Good parking facilities
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, friendly helpful staff, onsite parking and a clean comfortable basic room.
Cons: Nothing, it was ideal for our budget and exceeded our expectations
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location is excelente. The parking lot is in the property and they serve an excellent breakfast for €9 / person. It really worth it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Impressive view from the breakfast room!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I arrived on a push bike before my wife in her car. Though unexpected, the staff immediately offered me a locked cage for the bike in the car park, though it was obviously not for public use. Location to La Cite was excellent, just a short uphill walk of 200 meters to the main gates. The rooms were small but clean and well appointed.
Cons: Everything met our expectations and had no complaints. Maybe the exterior of the building could do with a fresh coat of paint.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Great location and friendly service

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location. Clean and recently refurbished rooms. We had a ground floor family room that was perfect for a family of 4 with a separate room with bunk bed for the kids. Nice pool area (note no shallow end - all one depth). Great breakfast (additional charge).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location. Clean new facilities and lovely pool took in the back court yard.
Cons: Bed was to small and I think our room while chartered for / adults and 2 kids, everything scaled down to fit. Saying that though I am 6’3” so anything less than a big double is a mission. Hotel prices not particularly cheap and I think children’s breakfast could have been included to ease the overall cost.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No bar!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: very large room and great bathroom with AC. Pool is a nice, tiny area and parking was available on site. Breakfast fast lovely and high quality. Perfect stay for a visit of the historic area which is 5min walking diatance
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a great location next to the citadel. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing it was great
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about L'Aragon, in particular: warm welcome from staff, comfortable and clean yet understated, with a cosy, homely feel, like an old-style family-run hotel. Lovely room with balcony and amazing view of the castle, bunk beds for the kids were fun, good buffet breakfast for a reasonable price, great pool, and location just cannot get better. An excellent experience all round - will definitely stay here again if I return to Carcassonne. Thank you.
Cons: I loved this hotel. The only thing I would mention is that the bedding (a thick winter duvet) seemed more suitable for winter. A lighter sheet and cover would have been more suited to summer weather (we avoid using air conditioning at night).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The beds and pillows were very comfortable and my room especially was spacious and well connected to the glorious pool area. Staff were incredibly helpful and the location is fantastic to the city, the lake and the airport.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location - right next to the Old City- parking on site although not always possible. Lovely room and the swimming pool was a great addition. Very friendly reception staff.
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic little hotel close to the UNESCO site
Cons: Parking was a bit of an issue - we had to pay €25 to park in a public car park about 1km away. To be fair the hotel did suggest two others (which were full) or street parking.

Pros: Location
Cons: Roma size & rubbish Air-Com
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very romantic property in the city walls of Carcassone. We were upgraded to a superior room which was slightly larger and quieter.
Cons: The shower screen wasn’t big enough so water sprayed into the end of the bath and floor. This could be fixed quite simply.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel and breakfast with wonderful view!
Cons: Our view of the room was to the backyard = no view. Quite pricey for a standard room regardless of the season.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: LIkes: Fabulous view of the City over the Walls Overall feel of the hotel Comfort of the pillows and bed Best location for staying in the Old City Terrific breakfast Complimentary castle tickets
Cons: Dislikes Car has to be at least 200+ yards from the hotel--no private auto access--they use a small van to take you to the hotel. The room we were in was quite small--the closet door backed up to another needed door--constant banging. Chair for the desk had arms--could not go under the desk--another small room issue Partial glass separator for shower in the bath does a lousy job of keeping water in the tub Needs more electrical outlets--especially around the desk area

6,3 Good
Pros: Outdoor swimming pool. Great weather. Beautiful historical city very close to hotel. Reception & cleaning staff generally friendly.
Cons: Very small room. Restaurant very poor availability hours. Dismissive restaurant (managerial level?) staff. My partner, who’s vegan, had zero food selection (in 2019?! Highest global growth in food sector is veganism!) Services, amenities, decor, interior, much nearer 3 star. Unclear as to why this hotel classed 4 star.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location right below castle, we upgraded to a bigger room which was well worth the extra space.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The service of the reception staff was exceptional. They were very helpful, friendly and polite, as well as multilingual (in 3-4 languages). Booked dinner table for us AND helped me book an online airticket , when my French was poor and the website I was using offered no English option. The team are to be commended.
Cons: We booked a basic room and it was ok. Could have been a bit larger and would have been great if it had had a small fridge. But the basic room has no fridge and had I known, I would have picked a larger room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff really helpful and friendly could not have tried harder to ensure we had a great stay. Pool was large and location of the Hotel could not be faulted. Car park very spacious and helpful. Definitely recommend.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great vicinity to the old Cite
7,5 Good
Pros: Good comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet. Good rain shower. Very good location to visit the city of Carcasson. Easy and free parking.
Cons: Bar stuffy and not too clean. Could do with an update. Restaurant below standard for a 4 star. Enormous plastic menu’s. Food was average. Restaurant manager unprofessional. From the 3 Mercury hotels we stayed on our journey, this was below the quality we have normal from a 4 star.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location . Cleanliness
Cons: Attempt at gross overcharging by reception staff . No apologies . A grunt . Terrible reception staff . Lovely hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in room 2 it was very large with two doors onto a little grass area with a sofa to sit on. The bathroom was huge and excellent facilities. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is excellent for walking into Le cite. Breakfast was very good
Cons: Paying for a coffee when there was no decaf in the room
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Hotel room a good size. Nice garden and swimming pool.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous.
Cons: The breakfast. Very greasy and poor quality cooked food. Choices were very limited which was surprising for such a big quality hotel.

5,8 Okay
Pros: Break fast was good
Cons: Small room no tea or coffee machines in room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location for a walk to the old citadel. Good breakfast, lift, underground parking. Desk and working area.
Cons: Typical compact bathroom, but adequate. No kettle, but was not advertised, and is not so common in France.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is good and does what it says on the box perfectly.
Cons: Nothing with the hotel. Carcassonne itself was a bit of a let down. ( Citadelle so busy and commercial that it detracts from the unarguable beauty of the place)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location and clean.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location Cleanliness
Cons: Tiny Room and tiny bathroom
6,7 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and location quite good
Cons: Very small room
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was perfectly in the middle of the old and the new town on perfect walking distance. The deal with the nearvy parking lot to park our car was very handy.
Cons: The bathroom was very small. The terrasse where we had breakfast, overlooked a ruined building. It looked a bit scary but it was funny at the same time.
