Cons: We were very annoyed when we were checking in when a staff member said "oh you paid through bookings.com, you paid ALOT for the room... ill give you a free room upgrade". nice we got a free upgrade although we would have been happier with the original room at a cheaper price... very dissapointed that bookings.com was apparently more expensive, even with the 15% off. Will try booking hotel directly next time if need be. Bathroom doors, no privacy! weird!!!

Cons: The downer was no hot water for a shower in the morning but having said that as soon as I turned the TV on the management had a banner on saying they were experiencing difficulties with it and were working on it so a proactive response rather than ignoring it. I'd go back again because of that response.

Cons: We had issues with our power points in kitchen, staff sorted it but was a hussle to have our stay interrupted by this! Also the breakfast was not good! There were no large plates available for a cooked breakfast, so had to wait for some to be washed! Some staff did not look happy in there job! The Breakfast food was Not great! This experience has made us think we will try other accommodation for our next visit to Brisbane!

Cons: I asked to keep the towels and linen in my room instead of washing them however the cleaning staff gave me fresh towels everyday. I am also sure there was someone who shouldn't have been on my floor (a lady of the night) as they knocked on my door 3 times on Saturday night.

Cons: Buffet dinner was disappointingly poor. Purported to be a Christmas Celebration but was just very over cooked and very dry turkey, chicken and gammon/ ham. Mostly the food was just warm, ice cream melting. Seafood was ok. The cost of the meal was very high considering what was on offer. Breakfast Buffet on the other hand was much better.

Cons: I missed the property when first walking down the street, it’s not clearly visible - there is signage for the bar but not the actual hotel? The Westin next door definitely dominates in visibility. Crockery isn’t clean - cups had residue stuck on them in the room, and dishes were greasy at breakfast - please check your dishwasher!!

Pros: I was on the 3rd floor and there was noise from tourists at the bar that echoed down the alley and through the glass balcony - not sound proof - but when I told staff I couldn't sleep they were very helpful at organising a room that had less bar noise exposure...they were top professionals for customer service

Pros: The location was terrific as I was going to QPAC. I got the train and had a little walk to the hotel. Facilities were all good. The room was relaxing and clean and the television worked , as did the air conditioning and the pool was lovely to look over. Fair value for money.

Cons: Breakfast was below expectation. We were appalled at the grumpy waiter. He was suffering from a bad cough and was often sneezing. We watch as he stopped organising the food display to check in two customers waiting to be seated - about 8.30 am. He stopped when overcome by a very bad coughing fit which doubled him up. When he recovered he checked in the arrivals before returning to finish his work on the food display. When the waiter came to our table to clear plates, I asked him if he thought he was fit to be handling food and he said he had washed his hands after coughing. But l told him this was not true. He went away. There was no-one available to report this to and as I left reception I overheard the receptionist discussing a "trouble maker" in the restaurant.

Pros: The location was terrific as I was going to QPAC. I got the train and had a little walk to the hotel. Facilities were all good. The room was relaxing and clean and the television worked , as did the air conditioning and the pool was lovely to look over. Fair value for money.
Cons: the view overlooked the industrial site under the bridge. Breakfast was ok but my diet precludes eating muesli because of a recent illness so I had to fill up with toast.
