Pros: Beautiful restored building, with large very comfortable and quite rooms only a few minutes walk from the main CBD. Glad I choose to stay here rather than the normal over-price concrete corporate place down the road. My new 1st choice on the Far North Coast.

Pros: This is an historical heritage building which fascinated us. Very clean and fortunately with a room heater provided … it was very cold and windy at the time

Cons: Visitors with young family should be aware there are no lifts, rather steep stairs instead. A restaurant was included in the description, but unfortunately it was not open the time we were there.

Pros: Like staying in an old country manor!!! Shuttle pick up from airport.

Pros: Lovely ambience, quiet, restful... Lovely old historic property. Close to eateries and shops. Clean and interesting.

Cons: The outdoor balcony needs some greenery and a few large pots for a bit of character. Rooms could be a little more personalised by the addition of a handful of flowers in a little vase or mason jar, for instance. Just small suggestions to add to the pleasant stay...

Pros: Our stay was overnight returning to Sydney from Ballina. We were met with a very warm and welcoming greeting. The host went above and beyond all expectations given that we had checked in late. Excellent property, along with excellent customer service. Other properties we had stayed at should follow the professional example displayed by the owner of Ocean Breeze. Highly recommended. Would definitely recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cons: Went to make a coffee and kettle rattled. Looked inside and found a sharp in the kettle. Took to owner and it was replaced immediately with apologies. Then went to turn on TV and no batteries in remote. Same for Aircon remote. Previous tenant had a bit of fun and the cleaning staff missed the obvious when checking kitchen equipment

Pros: The room was nice & airy with plenty of natural light. The amenities included microwave which came in handy for an 11 day stay. Dereck & Jackie are wonderful hosts.

Cons: no shampoo - just 2 soaps - only little 4 coffees (as we drink only coffee) - and only a little milk bottle. we went out and bought more coffee, more milk.

Pros: Return visit expectations of an elegant and well appointed property were more than slightly diminished by a few basic failures. Refer below.

Cons: Main building surrounded by scaffolding due to new roof works. Garden areas roped-off for builders storage area. Hot water to suite not working one morning. Wifi signal strength in suite made any kind of connection almost impossible. Common area lounge commandeered by a group for a family dinner/breakfast.

Cons: We had no hot water on the day we checked out, so cold shower before we left. The good definitely out weighed the bad though.

Cons: Value for money compared to other accommodation we’ve stayed in. Coffee filter needs to be replaced. Room size compared to other accommodation and Airbnb is overpriced. Carpenters arriving at the property early in the morning making loud noise and construction work. No notice given by the owners. Rather waking up to the noise. Spoke to the carpenters and advised owners knew the work was occurring at the time they had arrived. However, managers of the property lied and stated they were meant to arrive at a later time. No real courtesy or empathy to the issue. Notices also slight mould on top of the roofs of the property which is a health hazard!

Pros: I liked the room but the bottom floor view is not appealing. The high hedge covers the view of the ocean. The area is very quiet and not too much going on but it is great for a short relaxing stay.

Pros: I wouldn't have chosen Ballina as a stop-over destination unless I had driven into town on a previous trip and seen the beautiful broadwalk. I thought 'why not try it on my next trip?' and it was worth it. It is a lovely place to stay for a weekend. Foodwise, they have a restaurant downstairs with a water view for breakfast/lunch/dinner plus other cafes in the area. Room service from downstairs restaurant was delicious - I recommend the beetroot salad. In terms of other amenities, they also have a small acceptable gym with complimentary towels available which worked for my purposes and there is a beautiful broadwalk to walk alongside outside. Friendly staff, 24/7 support, and lifts available from carpark and reception.

Cons: No cons on this trip - worth a weekend stay but perhaps not longer given the size of the town, though if you are looking to enjoy the beach a week would also be fine.

Pros: Lovely staff! Made it easy to check in late and leave early.

Pros: The room was small but adequate for 1 night. It was clean, and the bed was pretty comfy. The location was fantastic with the beach literally across the road. Service was perfect and it was very quiet. Great value for money, would definitely stay there again.

Cons: If I was going to be picky, the fridge was quite noisy when it clicked on during the night (I'm a light sleeper), and there were no bowls that we could eat our breakfast from.

Pros: The location was great. Just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Tallow beach. The host Susie was super. She kindly had left us tea/coffee, milk, bread, butter and jam. I had asked if we could have an earlier arrival time and this was facilitated without hesitation. She understood that we would be travelling for over 50 hours to reach our destination and was very accommodating and compassionate. A lovely woman who did not invade your space but was always there if you needed to ask any questions. Thank you Susie.

Pros: It's my 3rd time staying at Ballina Travellers Lodge. Conveniently located within short walking distance to shops, eateries and the river. Situated one street from the main road through East Ballina, yet no traffic noise disturbance. Comfortable bed and communal kitchen handy for those like me who have a special diet & need to cook their own meals.

Pros: We had the queen and single bed room which was good for the night for our small family. Room was nicely decorated - not your standard motel bland. Large communal kitchen area was handy to prepare breakfast in the morning. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom and room.

Pros: We are travelling in a group of 7. We had four rooms that we all were very happy with. There is a fantastic restaurant and all of us had top class meals and even met the chef. Breakfast the next morning was also great would recommend to everyone . The staff also get high marks.

Cons: Room had strong smell of smoke, had to ask for room to be deodorised, which only masked the smell for a short time. We bought Glen 20 whilst out and had to keep spraying through out the evening to make room bearable. Couldn’t open door to air because of smokers in next door room smoking outside of their room. Bed great king size, hard as rocks and only three pillows. Cold cold showers no hot water after day of travelling, got some bs story that water heater has broken down in last week however when looking at reviews noted people making comments 2 - 3 months ago about cold shower. Young 1 week employed worker was lovely and try to solve our issues but she could only apologise. Bathroom only had light curtain over window, which we kept open to help air room was the best smelling part of the room. But too of shower was dirty and had other people’s hair ties etc still left on it. No information on local area in the room. Had to go back to office to ask for WiFi password. We know it wasn’t the reasonable price range but you still want a fresh room and hot water at the end of the day
