Great location, the rooms are great loved the valet parking and a fantastic stay all round really enjoyed it, espacially the Pool! We will be back!
Nothing was a great experiance loved it!
The staff were fantastic, the room was okay and we were provided a free upgrade. The location of the hotel was fantastic and easy to find. The room was clean and the view was fantastic. The kabuki resteraunt was amazing, food was great and service was excellent.
None of this is Stanford plazas fault. The booking website didn’t mention anything about valet parking included so we paid for alternate parking. The website also mentioned a balcony with a view but there was no balcony. The rooms AC wasn’t very good, we set it at 16 degrees and the room never cooled. It was hot all day and night.
I liked the location and the view.
Crazy lighting as I. Had to phone reception at 10.30pm to get advice how to separately be able to switch bedlamps on and off.
I loved the location, the quietness in the hotel. Everyone was very polite and helpful. The view was fabulous from my room.
I ordered a gin and tonic and would like to have had bottled tonic to use at my usage not tap tonic which I found ridiculous. The refrigerator could have had more to choose from like small liquor bottles. There could have been more long life milk and some herb tea.
The Reception Staff, the Valet and Concierge were incredibly helpful and happy to be of service. The room had a great view of the Story Bridge (especially so vibrantly illuminated during the Brisbane Festival season) and the bed superbly comfortably. The location was perfect for the reason we decided to have this weekend in Brisbane.
One lift was permanently out of order during our entire stay! On the morning of check-out only one lift was operating so waited for a while before a staff member saved the situation by organgising us to go from Level 10 to Lobby by service lift - not a good impression at all! Only a few tissues remaining in the bathroom so these ran out quickly. On both Friday and Saturday evenings returning to the hotel we decided a few drinks in the Pav Bar before retiring to our room but apart from the same disgruntled barman serving us with our first drinks when returning from the courtyard to but a second drink, the bar was closed - it was just after 10.30pm. We noticed other guests were vocal about this situation as well - not what you would expect to be lacking in an hotel of this calibre!
The Stamford Plaza Brisbane sits right along the banks of Brisbane River and is steps from the gorgeous Botanical Gardens. Yet, it is also right in the midst of the city’s central business district and is close to the best shopping area. Visitors will appreciate the easy walk to the riverfront, but also to such spots as the Brisbane Central Station, Story Bridge, Metro Arts Theatre, Eagle Street Pier and Ferry Terminal, Wintergarden and such landmarks as South Bank Parklands, New Farm Riverwalk and Roma Street Parklands, and The Gabba – all within a mile from the hotel!
Of course, with its long list of premium amenities and services, the hotel can also become a destination for business or leisure travelers in its own right. It features a full fitness center, sauna, swimming pool with stunning city views, business services with nine different meeting rooms, parking (for a fee), bike rentals, gardens and terraces, 24-hour front desk as well as a concierge service, and impressive dining options. The hotel has its signature, waterfront eatery Brasserie on the River with its three meals daily, great wines and drinks and more. Visitors can order “takeaway tea” service, and classic afternoon tea service on the waterfront.
The 252 rooms and suites in the hotel all feature river views. All rooms will feature free Wi-Fi, an executive-style desk with an ergonomic chair, safe, entertainment system with on-demand service, hot beverage systems, laundry service, and a large and well-stocked private bath.
Whether it is for a lengthy business visit or a leisurely holiday in Brisbane, the Stamford Plaza Brisbane can meet any traveler’s needs.
