Pros: I asked for a quiet room and got one well away from the elevator at the end of a corridor. A bit of a hike to reception but perfect for us for our 3 night stay. Breakfast served until 10.30am which suited our late evenings out in the city and late dinners. the food being varied and plentiful with chef cooking station for omelettes etc Spar facilities looked good but we only used the pool and steam rooms and the jacuzzi one floor up on the roof. There relaxing beds for a snooze afterwards and a tea room all within the complex

Also the booking webpage says booking a spot in the parking is not possible/necessary but in reality you need to do that in advance. I finally parked outside.

Cons: Bathroom screen lets the water through and the floor gets a bit wet which means you have to use the carpet to dry it and you end up with a wet carpet under your feet. Cons: 3 complaints : I was feeling very unwell on the first day of my stay. I rang reception and asked for someone to bring me a glass or bottle of water as I felt I couldn’t leave the room. The receptionist said « no, because she was on her own covering reception and there was no one else that could do it. » I also asked for an iron and ironing board 3 times during my stay, but they appeared to have lost it. I never got one. One day when there was torrential rain outside I asked if they had an spare unbrella for guests but they did not.

We had a ridiculous situation: asked for an iron on the first day, were told that THE iron is in someone’s room, but they don’t know in which, because they didn’t write it down. They really tried each time to use as an excuse the fact that they have only one iron and that they didn’t write down to whom the gave it because “it happened fast”/“un peu vite”. Apparently the staff really believed that these are valid excuses for a hotel. It was pretty important and very inconvenient for us since we brought clothes that had to be ironed.

Pros: The breakfast had excellent and plentiful choices. The early morning (2am) easy, no fuss check in was much appreciated after our flight was delayed by 2 hours meaning we missed the last bus to the city from the airport and had to queue for a taxi. The room was clean and simple with a good shower. We liked that we could leave our bags for free and that it was just a short tram ride into the main centre.

Cons: Not fast Wifi. There isn’t an actual seperate bathroom all one room when you get out of the shower you are in the one room. It’s a smoked Glass door with a hole for a Handel between the shower and bed which means you can’t help but watch the other person in the shower. Very hard to communicate with the check in man in English but to be fair we are in France. There isn’t a do not disturber sign for the rooms and there isn’t a system to know who has checked out of what room at a time because you just put your swipe card in a bug jug with everyone else when you leave! As the result my partner was asleep on in the bed and I was in the shower, the cleaning lady came in to our room at 9,40 but check out is at 12,00 we had to ask her politely to not clean it then. Very unprofessional.

The staff told us that the air conditioning is set by the hotel and is currently on “warm” only (I guess given the season). However the second room was much more pleasant in terms of temperature.

Cons: Firstly I had to move rooms as my room smelt like sewerage it was disgusting! The cleaner must have noticed it as the bathroom drain was pulled apart and left like that. Once I was given a new room I couldn’t even have a shower as the hot water was out in the entire hotel... so I had a full day of sight seeing with no shower. As compensation I was only offered a free breakfast but I should’ve had much more than that.

Third, hotel fittings such as doors and my shower unit appeared unkempt and stained (dirty). I would not stay here again when in Bordeaux.

Cons: Allocated room had been vandalised with scratchings on headboard, dirty marks on walls. Upstairs communal areas were filthy dirty - no wonder there is no lighting in the corridors! We cut our stay short and went home a day early. Definitely will not be returning.
