Pros: The hotel exceeded our expectations. I was beautifully located and the staff was so friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had beautiful views to the main plaza. The spa area was so elegant and relaxing, a must for those who enjoy pampering time. We are looking forward in returning again soon. We received personalized attention from all the staff and they made our stay unforgettable!

Pros: The hotel was great, clean and very nice.
Cons: The night we arrived was a marathon which closed off all local streets for a mile so we had to walk with our bags. The band for the marathon was playing outside our window until 1:30 am. No notification from the hotel. Had I known, I would have booked a different day or hotel. Hotel concierge also didn’t warn me the trains would all be booked the next day due to the marathon. We had to wait 3 hours for an available train. I had asked the concierge how early we needed to buy tickets and she said we only needed to arrive 20 min early. We missed our dinner at our destination.

Cons: The traffic noise. There was only about a 4-hour period overnight when it was relatively quiet, but outside that it was impossible to sleep. For a modern hotel we would have expected better sound insulation.

Cons: First night, we got a room with a street view, it was quite noisy, although the traffic was not too heavy. There were also skateboarders on the street late night. We requested another room, facing the backyard, it was quiet there, but it was extremely hot in the room and we could not decrease the temperature, we had to open the window at 1PM to cool down. The bed was also very uncomfortable, needs replacement.

Pros: the room was very spacious and clean, the bed was excellent with a new memory foam mattress, absolutely one of the best I have slept on. the shower room was separate to the toilet which we like and very powerful. large TV in the room with some English channels but loads of sport. didnt have breakfast as it was 15 EU each so just walked into town for coffee and breakfast for 5 EU.

Shower design meant that the water splashed all over the floor, but good water pressure. Cons: The Aircon didn’t work in the room, it was high 20s it was absolutely roasting hot When I originally booked the room I put in ‘ breakfast included ‘ however in checking out we were charged, I definitely wouldn’t bother with the hotel breakfast it was very poor limited choice, head to a nearby cafe for a 1/4 of the price. Apart from that Bordeaux is a wonderful beautiful city and we’d definitely be back

Pros: The view was good of the Rue De Intendent.
Cons: The hotel was advertised as 4 stars. It was a 3 start hotel ( as per the stars on the wall outside the hotel ) No fridge in room, no communal areas, very basic breakfast ( in an attic ). Smelly corridors ( smelt of fish all day long ). Air con was noisy and didnt work. Very basic amenities. It was more of a commercial travelers 2 start hotel. The only good things were the central location and the views form the room.

Cons: Breakfast could have been much better. For example there were no egg plates at all. No vegetables too. Bathroom could have been better equipped (e.g. hair dryer's lane was not long enough, we run out of toilet paper and refill was not very generous).

Cons: Our room was not well isolated from noise from next room and outside. There was a party in room next to ours and I had to ring on their door to ask them to calm down. We did not sleep much between midnight to 5 AM. Also there was some draft from the door to the balcony which made our room full of smell of cigarettes from room next to hours.

Cons: Firstly, the main issue: no internet on our floor. We had to download something to watch while in the lobby. Secondly, the room has a bed (a large one) which is past its prime and not exactly comfortable - if only they exchanged the mattress, it would have been so much better. Also, the bathroom is a bit odd, it seems like it's some kind of module that was added to the room later.
