Pros: Breakfast was awesome, very intimate, with amazing views. Staff exceptional. The idea of evening canapes and drinks was great. A great place to stay and I'm already of thinking of booking in here again.
Cons: The walk up the hill a few times a day was hard work but the views wouldn't be so good if there was no hill! It was a little more expensive to most hotels I have stayed at for the size/type of room but I think Queenstown is just generally expensive. I would still stay here again.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is literally a block from the gondola and perfectly situated. There are always several delicious options for a hot breakfast as well as self serve cold options (cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc). The staff was friendly and helpful. Upon arrival my fiance and I received a warm welcome from Ryan and a nice summary of things to do in Queenstown. We needed dinner reservations for the first night and received wonderful recommendations and Ryan even took care of a reservation for the night. Lovely hotel, great staff.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing.

Cons: Room was a bit shabby Breakfast ok Very comfortable but not luxurious
10,0 Excellent
Pros: from the welcome to the breakfast everything was great, Stayed 3 days and the excellent location made it easy for everything, Loved the open fire in the guest lounge, and the bed was very plush.
Cons: nothing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. For us we both requested GF foods and that request was fulfilled. We were also left GF cookies in our room. The lounge area was good to sit and have a read of the paper after breakfast. Location was good for most things. Worked out a way to get back to The Dairy by walking around the block to avoid the stairs. Coffee shop across the road was fantastic.
Cons: The noise. The spa was directly under our room and as most people know when you are in a spa you speak louder. Well the noise was so loud we had to turn our TV up to maximum. The people didn't get out until very late. The doors in the property are quite heavy and from our room you hear every time someone closed a door. The rooms were noisey, you could hear every time someone closed the wardrobe door and sound of voices and the clunking of shoes being taken off. Generally it was quite noisey, especially when one lot of our neighbours arrived home at 2.50 a.m.. Waking anyone up at that time of the morning was not their concern. Last time we stayed at the property there was a wood pile for the fire outside not this time. It would have been great to use the outside fire as a place to eat as it it protected from the wind.

Pros: Comfortable bed and pillows, very clean room with nice shower pressure (and hot water that stayed hot). Excellent staff, facility and location. The included breakfast was excellent for the price.
Cons: This was not a problem for me, but older travelers or those with mobility problems should know there is a steep hill to get to the hotel (and a few flights of stairs from town). This is the case for most of the hotels in Queenstown, but something you should be aware of when planning for your trip.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail of everything, enjoyed the first time and same 2nd time
Cons: Tried to book restaurant above the hotel JSH for a certain time. We’re told couldn’t accommodate but they could an hour later which didn’t suit us, so ended up booking at Left Bank but decided to cancel that as we felt we could get booking at JSH ourselves which we did and at our time we wanted which we did and the restaurant was basically half empty but in hind sight maybe should have stayed at a Left Bank as JSH not very good !

Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff and a very comfortable, warm room. Great location in the center of town and walking distance to great restaurants and shops.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic, the Sofitel is by far the best located hotel in the main town. The rooms are comfortable however we booked the one bedroom suite and had a fair bit of trouble with the heating not heating up the bedroom very well, in saying that the hotel must be aware of this as they had a separate heater in the bedroom already for us to use. The breakfast is great and the staff were very friendly and managed to accommodate all our needs.
Cons: The rooms are quite dated and very dark. We had also booked at adjoining room which was confirmed prior to our arrival however when we arrived this was not the case. The manager rectified the situation however it took us four phone calls over four hours to house keeping to get our daughters trundle brought into the new room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is so very welcoming and accommodating. Great location - steps away from the shops and restaurants. Very comfortable room, comfy bed with soft linens - large bathroom including a jetted tub. wish we could've taken the hotel and staff along to our remaining destinations throughout the South Island.

4,5 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The service in the restaurant whilst friendly was incredibly slow we were the only people in there at the time for breakfast and it took more than 30mins for our breakfast to arrive. Our sheets were dirty in our room and when we addressed this with the hotel manager she said that it must have been from the chocolates and basically implied we had made the mess on the sheets, it actually looked like birds poo on the sheets. One of our possessions was removed from our room and the manager again told us their staff are trained not to remove any personal possessions from the room so it couldn't have happened. it did happen it was something that we can only purchase in America and cannot freight here. All in all we were very unhappy with the stay and fro the cost it was not up to standard by any means at all.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location Staff excellent Luxury unit with plenty of extras We loved staying at the Spire
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious, beautifully styled and comfortable. Great location in the centre of town. Staff were extremely helpful.
Cons: A little bit pricey but worth the expense.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel customer experience is incredibly thoughtful, even to the point of offering guests a menu of pillow choices (eg down, firm, soft, latex, etc) to choose from. They have anticipated everything a guest could look for in a room. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Made you feel at home immediately.

Pros: Beautiful viewss, comfy rooms
Cons: The couch was damage in the middle so if u sat on it, u ouldnt get out
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The Brazilian admin lady was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Their wasnt much air flow in the room..it was a bit stuffy and smelly. We had room 13. The bathroom gets very wet after a shower. The basin tap will flow out of the basin and wet your clothes unexpectedly. My husband and I are quite lean and he still would fit comfortably on thr small space where the toilet is..
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Cosy nice bath
Cons: Too far from town
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I loved how small and cosy the room was. It didn't bother us at all that the kitchen was together with the lounge. The view was honestly amazing!! Beds were very comfy. Bath tub was a good size and nice to use after a eventful and cold day. The location is a total bonus. Staff were very nice and helpful. Totally recommended
Cons: There's no oven, but it's not a big fuss.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Particularly appreciated the post check out service. We were able to leave our luggage in a safe locker until we returned for our shuttle transfer to the airport. Camilla the manager invited us in to the office for a warm place to wait until the shuttle arrived. She also obliged us by taking a photo of us with the beautiful snow covered mountains behind us.
Cons: Nothing negative to report.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived late after check in - the staff contacted me to let me know how to find my room which was left unlocked, key inside and the heater going, this was greatly appreciated after a long trip, arriving late on a cold winter's night! The room is modern and has a great sized bathroom and spa bath. There are tea and coffee facilities but also basic cooking facilities with a microwave, toaster and plates/cutlery etc. The bed was comfortable and the room was tastefully decorated. The motel is less than 10mins walk to the town centre and even closer to the Queenstown Botanical Gardens. It is very easy to access the Frankton track which is the walk way along the lake's edge. I was staying at this motel but attending a conference in a nearby hotel. The rooms in the hotel while tidy ,were old and dated, and considerably more expensive. I was VERY happy with my decision to stay at Autoline Motel and hope to stay there again when next in Queenstown.
Cons: Nothing!!

Pros: Big room, very comfortable and warm.

9,5 Excellent
Pros: I stay regularly at SO hotels and like they are a bit different.
Cons: Bouncer trying to ask me to take my cap off at Roof top bar.....nope ain’t going to happen. You pride yourself on being different and then try and have Draconian rules at bar !!! Seriously !!! The roof top bars I use in LA are super cool and don’t try and hassle guests paying top dollar. Sometimes housekeeping miss minor things, like not fully restocking mini bar each day or making sure bathroom body wash is full ... last time it was empty !!!

Pros: We were upgraded to a suite, free water, turndown service. They were amazing!! Free bottled water even when we left. Great food too. Our most favourite Accor experience

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing - excellent hospitality.
7,0 Good
Pros: Comfy bed. Clean room. Most staff really helpful and friendly. Loved the decor...great earthy colours, awesome artworks and furnishings giving a really cosy feel. Shame restaurant didn't seem to have that same feel/atmosphere though.
Cons: Not all of the staff were friendly, but the conceirge I dealt with the most was. The 'garden' view was not a nice garden view at all. For the price really should of had a lake view. The coffee machine produced awful coffee, pretty sure it needs a service. Meal for dinner could of been larger...was a very expensive piece of lasagne...perhaps a full salad or veges to accompany it would of been nice.
7,5 Good
Pros: Despite a chain ( Sofitel ) backing it , it feels boutique; a bit dark and dinky —- We had the 1 bed suite with lake view balcony and the view was breathtakingly spectacular, albeit for a steep cost
Cons: The reception staff looked a tad overwhelmed ( exhausted, non- smiley) but were professional Can’t put a finger but the oomph was missing ! The place is an uphill climb which is the major setback At the same eye watering tariff u could get an equivalent 5 star without the trek up the hill !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property is lovely
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved absolutely everything about St Moritz. The staff are brilliant and can’t do enough to help you. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud. The food and staff at the restaurant are fabulous and go above and beyond to cater for food Intolerances. Great location and a wonderful experience, we will be back!
Cons: I wish all of the rooms had views. I didn’t realise and booked a room without a view. The room was fabulous I just wish I had booked a room with a view so that was my fault.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were super comfortable and I loved how the bedroom was away from the living area
Cons: The only thing I thought was a little odd was that you could get to any floor of hotel without security key to tap

Pros: Everything! Location is fantastic, right in the centre of town but no road noises. Staff was amazing, spoke with Anne and Aiofe. Both so lovely, helpful and friendly. Really nice kitchen and social area, cozy couches with blankets and pillows! Good wifi connection throughout the hostel. The entire hostel is sparkling clean. The bathroom is shared but it is immaculate, looks freshly cleaned every time I go in there and have spare bath mats and hand towels. Bed is really comfy too, the double room (15) is wonderful, got a little mountain view too. Definitely good value. Would love to come back next time!
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Good location, walking distance to most tourist places. Friendly staff & clean bathrooms and toilets. Good heating on the room.
Cons: Limited parking spaces and parking options on street. Small room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent! so close to the middle of town and the snow centre to get the bus to the ski field. Really appreciated having the on site car parks as parking in Queenstown is expensive. Reception staff were so helpful and friendly.
Cons: The room door locked automatically when you closed it which was helpful security wise, but we ended up locking ourselves out twice which was very annoying! Really don't have many complaints about Haka Lodge!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The place was very good but the only problem is with room 8 it gets very loud in the morning with everyone in the kitchen and going up and down the stairs apart from that everything was excellent.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Aoife on the front desk was brilliant
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is only the second hostel I have yet to give 10 stars, and let me tell you, this hostel deserves it. Originally, I only planned on staying 2 nights, but extended to 7 because I loved this place so much. In fact, I think I can say that Haka is my favourite hostel in Queenstown. This place goes ABOVE AND BEYOND - the staff are so kind and understanding, and are always willing to help. The beds were really comfortable and I appreciated that each one had its own curtain, light, and shelf. The kitchen was great and I enjoyed the fact that it usually never got too busy. They had filtered water (which I have not found at ANY other hostel in QT), nice pots and pans, plates, bowls, etc. They also had colouring books which was cool. Although I did not spend much time in the lounge, it was nice and pretty cosy. In the lounge, they also had a list of places to volunteer at in QT which I found to be really thoughtful. Speaking of thoughtfulness, this must be the most environmentally friendly hostel I’ve yet to visit - motion censored lights, no paper towels (THANK YOU!), a clothesline, and more. The bathrooms were nice - and always clean - along with the showers. They also had a nice little booklet of local walks and paths for mountain biking - UM, COOL!! They had good luggage storage. Overall, a VERY homey hostel, friendly staff, great location (that’s just far enough to get away from all of the noise and commotion of the town center), and great facilities. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Haka for providing such great hospitality and for providing such a nice place to stay. If you’re reading this, just stay here, you won’t regret it!
Cons: Nothing, except that the WiFi didn’t work at times, but no big deal really!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean facilities. Kitchens and bathrooms were cleaned multiple times per day. Quiet hostel as advertised. Great place to stay if you want a quiet nights rest. Showers were hot and had good water pressure. Each bunk bed had its own privacy curtain.
Cons: A bit more expensive than other hostels we stayed at but the city was more expensive in general.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms and facilities. Very handy location..it was right in town so can just walk to the lakefront and shops.
Cons: Our room was right under the kitchen and we could clearly hear the footsteps from above.

7,0 Good
Pros: I loved the location, it was only a short walk to the buses that take you up to snowboarding and all the bars and restaurants. The front desk customer service were excellent and accommodated a booking error on our part and resolved it immediately.
Cons: We felt that, despite having a "do not disturb" sign on our door that it was very intrusive having someone enter our room to "check the bar fridge". We feel that no one should knock on our door when that sign is up, and also it would be better to have the person offer to refill our bar fridge rather than check to see what we had taken. To add insult to injury this happened twice during our stay and neither times was our bar fridge topped up. I also did not like that when we booked the hotel we were not advised that we would have to pay on a weekly basis. This is quite unusual as we travel alot and are very used to settling the bill at the end. This would not have been an issue had we been notified in advance. Additionally we were getting married and originally the hotel staff offered us an area for 'first look' photos however in the middle of the photo shoot we were asked to leave which I found to be bad manners.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was very welcome and delicious. It is expensive to stay.

Cons: Our original room had noisy guests in the next room, however, front desk staff were very helpful and I was able to change rooms.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location , nice view to the lake and mountains and check in and concierge staffs are very helpful and friendly.
Cons: To get to level 7 where we stayed there was no lift to get there so we had to take lift to level 6 and then take the stairs to level 7 which was very inconvenient. The buffet breakfast didn’t have enough variety of meals.
