Cons: Reception told me breakfast wasn’t included on my booking I had to find booking on phone to evidence breakfast included I was able to get breakfast I had a disabled access room - would have been good to have been told at reception - I would have preferred a standard room These rooms are good for those that need them but the wet room feel of bathroom and additional space makes the room feel bare

While our room rates won't break the bank, attention to detail is always high. With the comfort of Sweet Beds in every room, lightning-quick free fibre Wi-Fi throughout, and one of the most varied breakfast spreads you'll find in any hotel, customers are regularly surprised at just how much they get for what they pay. Oh, and you don't have to check out until noon, so you can enjoy a lazy start and an unhurried breakfast.

Pros: Offered early and late checkout for £10 per hour. Would have been useful to have had this option highlighted at the point of booking.
Cons: Bar and restaurant furnishings tired and the menu over priced compared to what is available on the doorstep. If staying again I would book room only and buy breakfast outside. Bath and shower poorly designed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location and very friendly staff made my stay a good one.
Cons: The bathroom showed signs of damage, bulging panelling on side of bath, which was given a lick of paint, rather than being replaced.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location of this hotel is amazing. Staff very friendly easy and quick check in and out.
Cons: Our room was too small for 3 people, felt a bit squeezes. Just before leaving i was making sure i had everything and moved the beds just to make sure nothing left behind and found lots of rubbish so obviously wasnt clean. And made me think what else hasnt been cleaned.

Pros: Handy for station and other facilities

5,1 Okay
Pros: Location and value for money.
Cons: Room unbearably warm; opening window exposes one to seagull noise all night; and fan supplied too noisy to keep on when attempting to sleep.
Carpet worn and stained.
Long overdue refurbishment.
Small bed size.

TV remote control would not adjust sound.

Pros: Very friendly staff, super clean, nice facilities, good price, but...
Cons: The bed was actually two single beds pushed together with king-sized linens over them. I'd rather just have one small bed than to have the hard edges of two separate beds right down the middle.

Pros: Facilities were just fine

Pros: Evening meal (2 nights) was most disappointing
Cons: Choice and standard of cooking was poor.
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was lovely. Location was excellent for event at Beach Ballroom.
Cons: Bar staff attitude!! Barmaid was lovely (she'd only been there 2days) when we questioned the price of drinks, as a total of £41.60 seemed a bit excessive for 4 drinks she agreed and checked till receipt which appeared correct. Another member of staff was called who rang it through again and told us it should actually be £43.20!!! " Its all programmed in the till!!" On another attempt to rectify she then got £46.20!! Even more alarming when the bar manager was called and he informed us that " £4.10 times 6 was £41!!! After writing the calculations on the back of the original receipt to prove to him the till was wrong and it should be £32.65 he disappeared for about 10mins. On his return he said he was very sorry there was something programmed wrong and it should be £32.65!! Think they need to brush up on customer care skills.

Pros:
Cons: Hot stuffy room, no swimming pool
7,5 Good
Pros: The size of the room, free parking, local facilities close by.
Cons: The shower, it was dated and not up to scratch, it was hard to get a constant temperature on it, wasted alot of water.... Wasn't informed of lift being refurbished so wasn't available during stay. Bar staff at night not too friendly, not aware of who is waiting first for a drink, and serving others first even tho you've been waiting longer than them being served. Then they don't let you sign for every drink just batch them together, which is confusing when checking out. Plus no drinkings prices are displayed,

Pros: Big clean room and good location
Cons: Personnel badly need training and more supervision. Arrived by car, no parking space on the front. Reception instructed us to the car park at the back. Had to carry two heavy suitcases up a spiral stairs because not lift available........and we were at the front of the hotel where we could have dropped off our suitcases before parking the car to the back of the hotel. Booked a table for dinner with the reception, showing up at the restaurant not reservation. Order pickled vegetable in batter and deep fried.......the vegetables were not pickled. Order sea bass with roast pumpkin and gnocchi........there were not gnocchi. What a poor show in all these two departments.

I received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco as there was going to be a late function on, incase I was disturbed by any noise.
Cons: Unfortunately the room was extremely cold, I understand it may be an old building but the windows couldn’t open. Condensation had built up on the windows, which resulted in dripping down the walls, onto the carpet which was very wet, which gave off a strong damp smell. The curtains were very damp and heavy which they couldn’t be dried. No phone in room if you wanted room service, you would have to use your own phone or go downstairs to reception to order, no robes or slippers in room either. For a beautiful hotel maybe look into doing something about the windows.

Pros: It was in a great location Staff were friendly
Cons: Toilet didn’t flush Bed was rock solid Room was freezing cold at night Bathroom was grubby(not as clean as it could of been) Very very poor lighting Not a lot of plugs(one socket which the tv was plugged into)

Pros: The room was a one off, liked it, the hotel felt slightlt quirky, which is good.
Cons: Standard of breakfast service varied from day to day, e.g one day one mug of coffee, following day we were offered a refill and then final day it came out in jugs. Sausages were poor quality.

Pros: Staff friendly and helpful, clean, hot water.
Cons: A little noisy from street, pub goers opposite, not ideal when trying to have early night for early start

Cons: While perfectly comfortable, the standard single room was the smallest I've ever stayed in. Tiny twin bed, and a tiny walk-in shower. Next time I'd bump up my reservation to the deluxe single or deluxe double room.

Pros: Very confortable and clean bed and room was well appointed. A very good choice at breakfast with attentive staff. Food was very good.
Cons: The lift was out of order and had been since Friday. I had to carry my luggage up three flights of stairs, as an OAP this was very tiring. The bar had little to attract you to stay on the premises a soleless lounge with a very poor selection of beers. This hotel is comfortable but its best years are behind it.

Pros: Could not fault the breakfast and the staff were pleasant. The location of hotel is excellent for the train and bus station. The decor in the reception, bar and restaurant is modern and nice.
Cons: Our room 112 was in a 1970's time warp! It had 4 large single glazed windows, resulting in the room being very cold and draughty and as the bed (no headboard) was directly under a window we were very cold during the night. The furniture was very dated and marked. The toilet seat hinge was broken. Floor tiles cracked. Damp patch on roof over shower and water suddenly went cold in middle of showering! Water from taps didn't reach sink as wrong design.

Pros:
Cons: This hotel is in serious need of upgrading. It’s tired and dated. It was clean which was its saving grace. The “continental breakfast” wasn’t the best either. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Cons: Heating couldn’t be turned down in one room, but we were rewarded with suite the second night.

Pros: Located close to Union Square shopping centre, Unon Street shops, the ferry terminal, train station, and bus station, as well as the 727 bus route to the airport you couldn't ask for a better location. In the past when I have arrived in Aberdeen with luggage I have dropped it off at the left luggage facility at the train station prior to going into the city for shopping/watching a movie/getting a meal, etc. Unfortunately, on this occasion, upon my arrival in Aberdeen I discovered that the left luggage facility has closed down so I needed somewhere else secure to leave my bags. That's when I found the Aberdeen House Hotel. By rights it should be called a hostel rather than a hotel, however it has by far the cheapest rooms you will find anywhere in the city centre, and although my room was very basic (just big enough to shoe horn a single bed into) it did have an en suite toilet and shower, and working wifi.

Cons: The Aberdeen House Hotel offers a no-frills experience. If you're looking for anything more than a bed, toilet, shower, and wifi you will be disappointed, but as a convenient location in the city centre to store luggage until such time as the left luggage facility is reopened (hopefully) it is more than adequate.
