Pros: They gave us a room in a quiet zone so the baby wouldn't be disturbed. We got a very quiet room and were delighted.
Cons: Room service wasn't great. Stained teaspoons in the coffee/tea caddy were worrying. The baby's crib had a solid base and he really didn't like it. We used the bedspread from our bed as a mattress and he slept straight away. The next morning Room Service put the bedspread back on our bed. Obviously a comfy baby isn't a priority

Pros: Very nice host, helpful and charming. The rooms face a railway where trains go now and then, but when you fall asleep in the night you can't hear them any more :)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome from the owner, Pat, was a great start to a lovely chilled break, and throughout our stay she was friendly, helpful and flexible to meet our needs. The location is an ideal base for attending events at the NEC, walks in the beautiful West Midlands countryside and relaxing in cosy country pubs. The communal facilities also enabled us to chill out without venturing outside; the comfortable lounge with Sky TV gave us the perfect place to read, play board games and watch the large-screen TV. Another room offered free-to-play games of pool, which was an added bonus. The bedroom was clean, with daily housekeeping by Pat to maintain cleanliness and provide fresh towels. The facilities in the room gave us everything we needed, including a toilet, sink and shower, along with tea and coffee making and a TV offering Freeview channels. The included breakfast ranged from cereals, muesli, toast with preserves to a selection of freshly-cooked traditional English breakfast options. And an abundance of fresh fruit juice and filtered coffee meant we were all set for the day ahead. We found that this hearty breakfast meant we didn’t feel the need to have lunch.
Cons: Take extra care when negotiating the sharp turn from the driveway into the main road, as not all vehicles adhere to the speed limit!

R2 536+
Overview Reviews
Reflecting our city’s history as a cradle of invention, Hotel Indigo® Birmingham welcomes you with sleek styling and handcrafted furniture. Kick back in indulgent bathrooms, take a dip in our pool or relish cocktails in the rooftop bar. Reconnecting with reality is instant, thanks to superfast WiFi. And after dark, try a 35-day aged steak in our flagship Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill or head off to welcoming, canal-side pubs in Gas Street Basin. Long renowned for its industrial prowess, Birmingham boomed in the 18th century. Entrepreneurs inspired innovation when James Watt and Matthew Boulton invented the industrial steam engine here in 1776. The canal network ensured our city’s presence on the world stage as it became a leading player in the Industrial Revolution. Its wealth was celebrated with a swathe of new building, from the Baroque-style St. Philip's Cathedral to the Museum & Art Gallery, feted for its peerless Pre-Raphaelite art. Today, Birmingham’s regenerating spirit lives on, inspiring the futuristic design of The Cube and each detail in our boutique hotel. You’ll see that same energy in the lovingly crafted designs of Jewellery Quarter shops and in the gourmet offerings of Brindleyplace’s waterside restaurants.

Pros: Breakfast....YUM! Bed so comfortable, out like a light, felt like i slept for 8hrs and it was just 2hrs...Maybe that was the drink
Cons: Cobweb above bed...but could understand that it could be missed. Room took over an hour to warm up. One bed was rather rocky but it was funny but might be an issue with others not so wacky.

Pros: The night porter, maintenance and Breakfast staff were polite and friendly and the breakfast was good.
Cons: Reception on arrival were very miserable, mini bar was warm, room card kept cancelling. The hotel was fully booked with Christmas parties so some very loud brash people.

Cons: The cleaning staff did not knock before coming into the room. The room was poorly decorated.

Pros: Location Room size
Cons: TV did not work Bed too soft
6,0 Good
Pros: Location was great. Staff in general were well mannered. Up to 18 floors. Has a gym, but didn't get to see it. Well sized rooms also. Shoe machines on the floors along with ice.
Cons: I have to say I love the Raddison blu brand but this will now be the 1st of two lower than average reviews I'll be writing. First of all I felt lucky and a little excited to get a good deal of £88 per night (with breakfast) as apposed to the £150-£170 most sites were advertising (including Raddison blu on their club Carlson membership site). It started with the arrival with my colleague, a small lobby for the size of the hotel. No one there at first but they came out seconds later so it wasn't too much of a problem. We explained to the front desk that I had booked the rooms for two of us, but rather than looking it was assumed it would be under separate names. Could have been my fault so I'll let that go. We then both checked in, only to find that both rooms were under my name. This was done quite fast, which was good and we were sent on our way with a brief explanation about the breakfast in the morning. Missed the offers that were on hand and not valid at check-in so no upsell. Had they asked we would have taken one of the offers. I did show my club Carlson card and asked if there was anyway of upgrading as to which she said "I'm afraid not as the hotel is fully booked". Which was understandable (remember this part!). I was getting myself together at the reception desk, at which she thanked me. She then thanked me again and gave me a look to say do that somewhere else! I looked around and saw a queue behind me, which I was surprised as there was no one there when we arrived. I apologised when I left the desk but left with a slightly sour taste in my mouth. I then went to my room which smelt of cigarettes. I wasn't sure whether someone was taking a chance on smoking in their room or it was a stench in the actual room. The carpet had stains that seemed well embedded (my colleagues room looked as though blood had been engraved into the carpet with stains too!), the tv had very poor reception (so that was the Brits out of the window). Bathroom was a good size and clean, so was the room in general. But lacked any homely or business feel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was passed out drunk in my room after a somewhat heated exchange wit my partner. She for reasons only known to whatever deity you pretend to pray to elected to come over. This was an excellent choice assisted by the staff of the Radisson blu hotel.
Cons: I have to use a key card to access my floor, its a layer of security that is utterly redundant.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms clean, beds comfy, staff friendly. Bar food was good and not over priced. Good choice at breakfast considering its included in room price. Great location for NEC. We walked to the show in about 20 mins.
Cons: I know It was very busy because everyone was going to the car show but they ran out of breakfast food and didn't realise on more than one occasion. No hot food other than scrambled eggs. Fresh milk had also ran out. Once they sorted it the food was very good.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Bed was terrible for my children. Springs were terrible in your back, very thin poor mattress. My daughter slept on the floor.
Cons: Hairdryer wasn’t working. Lights in between the beds not working. Very poor lighting. No croissants replaced at 10am on Sunday when breakfast finished at 10.30, very poor.
6,7 Good
Pros: Staff are very nice friendly people
Cons: The main problem is trying to get dinner. You have to que at a small bar so you will wait a while. One evening i had to que for 15 minutes then wait 30 minutes for food. I asked for an extra roll for soup took 15 minutes to arrive. I wont pretend i know an awful lot about cooking but im fairly sure anything we had came out of a microwave. Portions are not big either. So nice place but eat somewhere else. Bar only had stella on draught too
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Food at breakfast was good choice and everywhere was clean and tidy ,staff were helpful
Cons: Noise of heating system even tho we turned off made a loud thud and tapping noise every couple of mins this went on all night we had no sleep and was my mums wedding next morning not happy ,so told reception basically tough in so many words just they way it is they said will never stay here again .

7,0 Good
Cons: The breakfast wasn't particularly nice, sorry I'm just being honest. The eggs and sausage tasted awful. You took Payment off my card when you shouldn't have but then refunded it and sorted it after a few weeks.
