It was near to New Street station
Not a lot
The bar staff. When we ordered food at 10.50 we were told the kitchen wouldnt be happy.. pir pizzas came quickly but un cut and with a steak knife which just tore the pizza apart. We asked for a pizza wheel but the waitress told us they were none as someone had their throat shashes recently in a Wetherspoons and that it was in front of children.. this really put us off our food and staying at the hotel. We asked for the kitchen to cut the pizza and again were told the kitchen staff wouldn't be happy. It took 7-8 minutes for the pizzas to come back by which point we had decided we didnt want to eat them any more as we were upset by what we had been told. Our room was on the 5th floor which we were told was the 'penthouse'. When we got into the room there were chains on the window, which faced a other building making the room very dark and confined. It felt more like a prison cell than a comfortable hotel room.
Very good location, room was clean and a good size, facilities were good ( water, tea making , hairdryer and iron & ironing board). Overall excellent value for money.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable and noisy. The bedside tables and lamps were too far away from the bed.
Perfect central location , clean and friendly staff
Clean, reasonably new decor, powerful shower.
Pillows not great and a bit noisy in the morning with the rubbish collection right outside.
