Pros: The property is in a lovely location in the countryside but is so close to local amenities. We stayed here as we were visiting Beamish museum and this was about a 10/15 minute drive away which was perfect. The hosts were fantastic, very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was amazing, fresh, hot and lots of choice. The rooms were great size and very homely.
Cons: The shower wasn’t powerful enough.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was good for where we wanted to go, breakfast great, hosts Neil and Emily were brilliant and friendly, took the time to talk to us and other guests and full of local information, very comfortable warm room. If we are up that way again would definitely use this as my accommodation.
Cons: For what we paid it was good value, not much needed at all, tiny things like towel rails in the bathroom, but that is really being picky

Pros: Really clean, well appointed, lovely couple running it and very close to Newcastle and great breakfast

6,0 Good
Pros: The room was excellent; big, plenty of storage space, good shower, TV, comfy bed.
Cons: We had not booked breakfast, although this was not entirely clear on the website. Breakfast was not available. The heating went off during the night. We were met and shown our room on the first day of our stay, but saw no one after that. Some attention to the room on the second day would have been good and perhaps replenishment of the coffee and tea supplies. Someone to say goodbye to would have been nice!

4,0 Okay
Pros: Spa
Cons: Food and drink was very expensive
7,0 Good
Pros: Nice facilities - gym, pool etc., big room, lovely view from the bar/restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The breakfast had clearly been cooked early and then held in an oven, meaning that the bacon was like shoe leather, the sausages were dry, crunchy sticks, and the fried eggs hadn't been runny in a long, long time. You'd be better off crossing the river for breakfast as Wetherspoons Quayside, which would also be much cheaper. Also nice big clean room - but the beds were unusually narrow for a hotel of this standard. You expect a king for this money.
7,1 Good
Pros: Clean pool boys very helpful
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed and great view
Cons: Cheaper deal
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff at breakfast were lovely especially as they were young men most of them. A credit to the hotel
Cons: Croissants! Not buttery at all. Shampoo and conditioner would be welcome
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the staff to the hotel room was excellent. Views across the Tyne were outstanding...
Cons: Paying an extra £12.00 for the hotel parking!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. Position is good. Light and airy. Helpful staff. Good parking.
Cons: Breakfast was good choice but luke warm.

Pros: Everything! Location, friendliness, cleanliness, food
Cons: All good
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Heating did not work
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. I wanted to amend my booking for two people from 4-5/6/2020 to just 4/6/20, somehow my booking was changed to the current date (20/2/20) and for only one person. I woke up the next day to see I had been charged for a night in the hotel and upon complaining I was told I would not be issued a refund when it is clear there is a fault somewhere
Cons: Unfair customer service and problematic booking system
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and comfy beds!
Cons: Not as central as suggested when booking.
7,0 Good
Cons: Carpets in hallways in need of a clean.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Good location and good price.
Cons: Sink was blocked. Reported to manager but unable to resolve issue so they refunded the cost of our stay which was very good. Considering it is quite a new building the decor in the rooms seems like it is an older hotel.Breakfast not worth the money.
7,7 Good
Pros: It's location was good for us as we were going to the sage.we got the room we paid for as I always seem to get different, nice river view ,comfortable bed and tea station well stocked.we got parked fine which I was pleased about.staff were helpful and pleasant..
Cons: Overall it was good value.a bit dark in decor but was as advertised maybe needs a splash of colour to lift it and brighten it up.a bit thin on staff in breakfast area so they were pushed to get tables cleared and wiped down.window inside and out needed a good clean.we parked ok but maybe when really busy this could be a problem.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: River view
Cons: Great location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was fantastic and just what we needed, spacious clean rooms, helpful staff and easy access into the city centre! We even got free late check out which was very much appreciated!

8,5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, went above and beyond every chance they got. The location was at the Quayside Millenium Bridge, which put us right in the middle of where we wanted to be for a good price!
Cons: The room decorations were a bit tired, couldn't cool the room off very well, no fan facility for bringing air into the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location, clean and well presented
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Reception service. Room and bed was comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for the Sage and the quayside,
Cons: Nothing!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great fabulous shower room - beds comfortable Room was lovely
Cons: Need a bit more lighting in the room over where the desk and tv was Car park had loads of pot holes really really bad needs complete resurfacing wasn’t happy parking there that let it down
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We didn't have the Hotel breakfast. We liked the convenient location of the Hotel for using the Quay buses - stops right behind the Hotel - and easy access to the Sage.
Cons: The bed was low and I would describe the mattress as soft. I am not a fan of the 'wet room' concept for a bathroom, perhaps a low rubber sill across the entrance to the shower would prevent water spreading outwards.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Was attending a concert at the Sage and the proximity couldn’t have been better. Hotel was Ok for one night.
Cons: Room Was very tired and in need of renovation. Unable to sit on the Sofa as it was broken.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Reasonable location for Quayside. Nice towels. Nice bathroom with wet room shower.
Cons: Worn out, thin mattress with sagging middle, so kept rolling into middle of the bed. 1 thin pillow and duvet - used my puffa jacket as a pillow. Wooden laminate flooring is functional, but noisy and not comfortable for a bedroom. £5 car parking charge per night, where amount is not mentionned on website.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good. I'm coeliac and there were gluten free options available. At check in, the receptionist reminded me to ask the breakfast staff for gf options as well as I had noted it on the booking. Secure parking was available at the hotel and although the carpark was quite full when we arrived, as we were going out we spoke to the receptionist and she advised where we could park if spaces were few when we returned. We stayed there a couple of years ago and would definitely stay there again

8,0 Excellent
Pros: We had 3 rooms which were all different sizes, but similarly priced. Rooms were overall nice. Location and facilities were good for what we needed.
Cons: Disappointed that I had booked a 4poster room, and during a refurb the hotel had got rid. Unfortunately not notified until I queried it after checking in and seeing the rooms our party had. Beds were quite hard, could perhaps benefit from mattress toppers?
3,0 Mediocre

7,0 Good
Pros: It was satisfactory and had a bar and pool table downstairs. The price was good for our stay.
Cons: Room was freezing when we entered and only had a small electric heater to warm up the room which took a while to heat up. Also Someone was smoking cannabis in their room near us. The hallway stunk of it every time we walked out of our room. There was no restaurant service during our stay around 18:00pm and the only way to get food was to drive somewhere. Nothing close by.
