The hotel staff were all amazing! I'd like to call out Tacio Silva Olveira specifically for going above and beyond for my twins' bday. He arranged for a room upgrade and also for some birthday toys.
Nickel & Diming
In a world where wifi has become fundamental for communication and information, and is offered for free all over the world because it is an inexpensive way to draw business, the fairmont charges $14 per day. I would have paid if it was just included in the already expensive room rate. As intended, I didn't read the fine print and was shocked to find out I had to go to the lobby to work. I was on a business trip. Also, I had to set the thermostat to 90, the maximum, to warm the room. It was never comfortably warm.
LOVED THE Location and loved this Hotel! BEAUTIFUL
This is a beautiful hotel and an exellent place to stay if you are leaving on or coming back from a cruise. The Arc restaurant is wonderful and all of the hotel staff are the best.. Our luggage was transferred to the ship for us which was a plus. The rooms are beautiful with spectacular views of the harbor and Canada Place.. We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer.
We thought that the bellmen were incredibly friendly and personable. We were given a complimentary drink at Arc as it was our anniversary; very thoughtful.
Didn't like the fact that for a higher end hotel there wasn't free WIFI. Paying $13.95 for WIFI seemed too expensive when we paid over $500 for the night.
Best hotel and service!!!!
The customer service at this hotel was unbelievable. Shout out of gratitude to risa and stephanie up in the Gold Lounge. What an amazing experience. The hotel is literally across the street from the cruise terminal. Great running course along the sea wall. A cant-miss Vancouver hotel!!!!!
Very nice hotel. Bed was great!
Great room. Comfortable bed. Late night room service was excellent!
Could store luggage there after cruise
We had an amazing stay at the Fairmont. The entire staff was beyond helpful and friendly which really made the holiday. Always smiling and giving extra attention. Location is perfect. Right by the waterfront but also walking distance to shops and restaurants. Rooms were very comfortable plus clean and again super friendly staff making sure your every need is met and that you have a great stay. Highly recommend staying here.
Everything was great!
Excellent service and attention to detail
For every little things I was charged , like domestic calls !!! Really?
Friendly staff and valets.
The staff at the Fairmont provide excellent service and are incredibly friendly. My husband and I commented to each other that they must be treated very well to be so engaged in their jobs.
Everytime we left the hotel we were swarmed by homeless people asking for spare change and cigarettes. I realize this is not the fault of the Fairmont, but definitely something we didn't enjoy.
The service at the Fairmont Gold is just excellent!
Couldn't cut any good deals this time, so room rate was high
My second stay at Fairmont Waterfront and it is still excellent.
Excellent location, full length windows that take full advantage of the wonderful view, modern room facilities that was also quite spacious.
The gym, spa and pool facilities were not readily available as they were doing construction for olympic facilities
Very friendly staff, particularly Bell Captain Gonzalvo- extremely helpful. Beautiful room with a lovely view.
We loved the attitude of all the staff and the warm friendly feeling when we checked in. It is a lovely hotel and we had so much help and courtesy during our stay. We felt really welcome. Their breakfast buffet was really good.
Central location near everything
Exorbitant prices for internet use and frigobar. A bottle of water was cd$6,50 plus hotel tax which in canada is about 20%.
spectacular views, superb continental breakfast, lovely patios, herb garden, pleasant staff. We were upgraded and what a lovely surprise!
Only the advice to check in to the cruise at l:00 or after because of the long lines. In actuality, that is what we did and got stuck in a 2 hour line that did not move. Spoke with folks who went at 12:00 (opening for boarding) and they sailed right through.
I am constantly impressed with how well the staff have been trained. They always make me feel important. They are all excelent hosts.
