Cons: Check-in took almost an hour, staff were not friendly, pool closed at 645pm, parking was full at the hotel so had to walk 0.5 miles in 115 degrees to park in an open dirt lot.

Pros: Everything as expected. The hotel was booked spontaneously and it matched the expectations. What was incredible was the morning view over the dead sea - just breathtaking.
Cons: Even though it was written everywhere that smoking was not allowed it smelled a little bit like smoke on our floor.

Cons: Dirty,
6,0 Good
Pros: The food was great, and the spa is really good
Cons: Their beach was a construction site, it was terrible!!! Noisy and no facility want so ever! The reception staff had made a mistake and let in other guests into our room. When we came back we saw a staff member going through our staff to find out who was staying in the room 500 shekel went missing... They had charged us 18% extra for taxes - out reservation said it was all included. The security if the hotel said they will take care if the situation and investigate the theft and will let the manager of the hotel know of the situation. A day later the hotel manager had no idea of the theft and the security of hotel said they cannot investigate and they can't do a thing, the only people who can investigate thus is the police so we need to go to the police station to file a complain. That was a nice stay...

Pros: The food
Cons: Air con... not working
7,0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was ok not amazing though. Comfortable bed and really nice porch.
Cons: The bathroom in the room could have been cleaned better. In addition, the process to get a room was difficult, they told us they had no available rooms (we came at night) so we got a room with booking.com and then we had to wait awhile. Also they told us there facilities would be open till later than they really were.
6,0 Good
Pros: Room was clean, hotel is beautiful! Location is good and private beach is very nice as well.
Cons: Entertainment is very Hebrew centric not a lot for the non Israeli tourist. Asked for room service to have a small dinner, but they could only serve tuna salads and non vegetarian sandwiches due to Shabbat, meanwhile there is a $60USD dinner buffet serving plenty of dishes. Went to the front desk and I was told you eat at the buffet or outside the hotel. Very limited food options in the area, one McDonald’s and a couple cafes.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location with a full view over The Dead Sea form the spacious balcony is realy stunning. The bed is very big (I think it was 2 meters wide). The room was very clean with a spacious bathroom with a shower and a seperate bathtub. The hotel offers enough entertainment and the are some nice souvenir shops in the loby. The loby itself is impresive, with an indoor garden with waterfalls. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away. A free shuttle is available to drive you to the beach, if you have walking difficulties. The hotel offers a breakfast with a lot of variation. We loved it!
Cons: Is was very crowded during breakfast. There are different locations to get the different types of food in the restaurant. The concept is nice, but we had to wait in line several times. (to get omelet, at the bread table, saladbar and beverage machines) Not a problem at all for us, but there were a lot of old people that were struggeling a bit because they had to walk from one place to another with their plate in hand. The restaurant doesn't have a flat floor but has different levels with steps. Very beautiful planned but a bit risky for people with walking difficulties and for children to walk around with a plate. Also you need to know the rooms are offered to families of 4. But the bed couch only fits one person. Our youngest daughter had to sleep with us in the bed. This was not a problem, because the bed was wider than a normal kingsize bed. (I think it was 2 meters wide at least). But it is good to keep this in mind.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding. Excellent location. Clean modern facility. Fantastic food. I was happy with the spa treatments. Has everything you would want at a Dead Sea resort. I think it's one of the better ones at the Dead Sea. I will return without even thinking about it.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast with wide selection of bakery products, fruits, vegetables, fish and cheese; excellent variety and very good service. Lack of any meat products caused maybe by sabbath. Clean and nice. Big rooms with the sea view as requested. Furniture a little bit threadbare, the same with walls in the rooms. Hotel anyhow very specious and elegant, scent of the luxury in the air (including special spray) :-) Private beach only for the hotel guests. Dancing music in the elevators.
Cons: Ridiculous places around the hotel with the mixture of the free and paid parking for cars. No logic behind. We got the ticket while going for coffee to the shopping gallery mixed with the cafes and McDonald. Personnel at night in the reception a little bit homelike.
7,0 Good
Pros: very large selection of food in a large dining room that was necessary for the large number of guests.

Pros: This is a convenient place to stay to visit the dead sea. You can take the shuttle to a private beach, bathrobes & towels are provided. The complimentary breakfast is varied and excellent. We were four men traveling together, but couldn't find any rooms with separate beds so we each took one room on the 8th floor.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and good location.
Cons: I left my bracelet and two rings in my room. When I realized that, maybe one hour after checkout,I returned to the lobby and they could not find my things. The breakfast was huge, but few options of continental or american food.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the breakfast they offer, staff was very friendly, great view from our window in the 7th floor. We didn't think it had an 80s feel to it (as other reviews suggest), but it probably depends on what kind of luxury you expect.
Cons: The spa area was a little small and therefore crowded.

Pros: Breakfast was very good. Lots of vegan options.

7,0 Good
Pros: The location and proximity to the dead sea are great. Some of the staff is really great, the rest just don't really care about anything. We got an upgrade to the business floor because our room was not ready when we arrived (4:30PM) and check in time is 3PM. I don't know what to compare the room to as I did't see the room that we were suppose to be in but we faced the dead sea and had a nice balcony. We had a bottle of mineral water and some fruit as we entered the room. The bathrooms are really nice, but the room is pretty simple.
Cons: there was some construction going on at the beach and you could hear it waking up in the morning. The breakfast and dinner were nice, but having stayed in Israeli hotels before, breakfast could be much better. The pool staff was a little aggressive when 5PM hit the clock, as they were closing the pool then...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice food and plenty to choose from
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing and the pools and such were great
Cons: It was a little expensive, the breakfast was great but such a big waste of food...
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The manager was amazing able to accommodate us after I booked the executive suites by mistake for my kids. The beach is the best and most comfortable one on the Dead Sea. The hotel has many pools, and is very spacious. The kids club has many options for entertainment. The hotel is clean.
Cons: The spa treatment rooms are very cold. I left without finishing my last treatment because I was so uncomfortable. The beds are on the hard side unlike other 5 star hotels I stay. There is no heating in the rooms, so was cold at night. No option for people who need a low soft pillow to sleep. Before leaving the beach we were told by concierge they have towels at the lifeguard booth. So after we do the mud and wash ourselves at the Dead Sea, we found no towels. He said they never keep towels there. luckily, we bargained with the lifeguard and exchanged two towels for a little flirting offering my nanny as a date (made NO sense but We needed towels for the kids).

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great!
Cons: The staff was offputting and inattentive.
4,2 Okay
Pros: He Hotel is very fancy, new and stylish.
Cons: Unfortunately, looks are deceiving. The bottom of the pool is covered with black mold. I personally removed one cockroach from my dinner plate and a maggot from my orange juice. Staff is clueless and undertrained, the hotel does not have direct access to the water (other hotels do), and they nickel and dime everything, from Internet use to use of a baby crib. This place is not worth the money and is dangerous.
6,8 Good
Pros: Goof buffet breakfast, best Kosher steak we've ever had
Cons: It's obvious that soundproofing wasn't a consideration when the hotel was designed and built, so the there were loud noises from adjoining rooms and the floor above, shower had either mold or mildew. Many cooked items on the breakfast and dinner buffets looked good, but had no flavor, indicating to me that they may have been cooked too far in advance of serving.

Pros: Considering money for value it totally not worth it. SPA area looked unsatisfying, dirty and it really needs renovation. The towels were missing in the room during the checkin. Only good thing was the breakfast as you can choose from many options and food was quite delicious apart from that a bit waste of money.

Pros: Location. Food
Cons: Cleaner rooms. Also I didn’t get the room we ordered
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I do not know if they provide such variety every day (we stayed there just for one night, which happened to be Shabbat), but both dinner and breakfast we got there were the best compare to other hotels we stayed during our two-week trip all over the country.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location at the Dead Sea was excellent. Accommodation and facilities were very good; breakfast buffet very good.
Cons: The check-in process was chaotic and very time consuming. Even once we were check-in we went to our room only to find anither couple was already in our room. We went back to the front desk to get another room, which took very long to get redtified. The air conditioning in our room was not working; when we asked for it to be fixed, we were told that our code had been put in their computer for our air conditioner to be turned on. Our air conditioner never did work throughout our stay.

Pros: We were group.Check in was quick and organized. Very kind staff. Hotel was close to beach.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a good location.
Cons: Please remember that rooms are available later on public holidays. This is in the small print at the end of your confirmation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and quite hotel, good location near the beach. Helpful staff at the reception. Excellent food (both breakfast and dinner).
7,0 Good
Pros: Good quick stop, looked very clean and well managed. Staff is super helpful, convenient parking (a very lovely parking lady too!), nice back yard. VERY GOOD BREAKFAST for vegetarians. I was so pleasantly surprised, it actually made my morning! :) :)
Cons: The room was a bit outdated and the water from the shower comes out when you wash, but its ok :) the sea view is not really a sea view, if youre staying on lower floors.

Cons: Need a refirbishment
8,0 Excellent
Pros: nice view from the rooms, good dinner and abundant breakfast
Cons: according to the info at the reception the pool should be open from 8 to 19, but at 18 was already closed ( because it was dark and the water cold - they said - something that would definetely not have bothered my kids at all) and at 8 was somehow open but not really usable because they were cleaning it..)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The toiletries are very aromatic. The room is generally clean, and the bed linen white and crispy. The room is spacious. Food is very good in the mornings (we had only breakfasts)
Cons: Bathroom floor was not properly cleaned on the second day and we had a bad feeling about it. The hotel halls show wear yet they are nicely and modestly decorated.
6,0 Good
Pros: The Leonardo Club and the Inn room beds were comfortable and bathroom clean. The food quality at both Leonardo properties was commendable.
Cons: Both the Leonardo Club and Leonardo Inn rooms are in need to be upgraded a bit. My room at Club had outdoor plastic chairs that were insufficient and uncomfortable and the rug in the Inn was in need of cleaning. I booked my reservation on the Leonardo website. Upon my arrival I was told that I had to split my days between the two hotels I was not happy. Though the staff was polite I should not have had to move between the hotels.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great!
Cons: The room seemed to me a bit smelly. The hotel is relatively far from the beach.
6,0 Good
Pros: Food for breakfast was very good, lots of choices to pick, also there was chief, which made omelet if you ask and lots of desert choices. Our view from room was beautiful and calming.
Cons: Dinner in hotel is 100 shekels in EUR approx. 30. I recommend choosing this option, because in city there is no normal place to eat. We had our dinner in McDonalds, because we didn't have such info from hotel, I was so sad, because this dinner was like breakfast eat as much you can. Hotel was too far from beach and on hill, very difficult to find entry and annoying, if you forgot something. Also, the price for this hotel is way too much!!! And pool was closed, we didn't understand why. :((

Pros: The staff was extremely warm and friendly and did their best.
Cons: The pool was closed. The main dining room was closed so the meal was in a small poorly ventilated room that filled with smoke to the point where the smoke alarm went off several times. The 24/7 bar started closing at 11:30PM. The pool maintenance crews started blasting music before 7AM.

1,0 Poor
Pros: The location
Cons: I was totally disgusted at the lack of cleanliness after checking in and finding dust on all surfaces and clumps of hair everywhere, the hotel let us change rooms but we were given a room with a lesser view and we were really unhappy. When returning a Shabbat key the staff (Mr Osama) was aggressive and nasty because we didn’t give the key back immediately after Shabbat (it was only about an hour or so later and we weren’t supposed to be checking out until the next day), we walked away and heard him and the other staff at the front desk laughing at us like we were not even there. The food was very poor and Saturday night we were fed leftovers from Friday/Saturday. I am not a complainer and I travel to hotels all year, I asked before making my complaint public that a manger give us some sort of compensation, a hotel manager did call us and told us he will deal with it within the week, now nearly 3 weeks on (and after calling him back to remind him) we have still not heard back, I believe he was waiting until I lost my chance at leaving this feedback. I have stayed at most of the big hotels at the Dead Sea and would recommend you choose any other than the Royal Hotel, a real disaster and upset.
2,0 Mediocre
Cons: I cannot believe that this is rated as a 5 start hotel. The rooms are old and filthy. The staff, insanely rude and unfriendly. Imagine the front desk not saying good morning to you, or calling reception and hearing "Yea" instead of hello or your name. As if you are doing them a favor. The buffet is limited and extremely expensive. This hotel is for the older crowd to whom they are also rude.

5,0 Okay
Cons: Good place to go with a group of kids, not for couples for sure. No bar, no drinks available. Room clean but old. Only reason to go there is if you plan to walk snake path up to masada for sunrise.
3,4 Mediocre
Pros: Location if you want to hike up the snake trail early in the morning, close by to the bus station (2 minutes walk)
Cons: Staff (Daniel) was not friendly or welcoming at all, no help given whatsoever, for the reception as well as for the dinner. No one was available when I wanted to do an early check out at 5:30 am (the plan being to go on the snake trail for sunrise, like I guess 80% of their guests). I was told that you can basically check out between 8am and 10am, which kind of ruins the purpose of having a hotel close by to Massada if you need to come down very early without having the time to visit. No locker rooms available to leave your stuff, at some point a security guard told me to leave it in the hall !!? He reluctantly accepted to store it in their offices. Muddy footsteps in the shower, with two lousy shower gel portions available. Dinner is strictly between 6:30 and 7:30pm. It didn't feel like a hostel, more like a boarding room at an old lady with a cat place.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was quite good, as was the optionally bookable dinner. The room was larger than expected fora hostel (we had a double room) and it even had a fridge and a electric kettle with tea and (turkish) coffee. As a special treat, the bar of soap provided was by Sea of Spa.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast good. Many young children there. The first choice if you want to see the sun rise.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here with our two children, ages 10 and 15, in a family room. The room had a nice bed for us and two bunk beds for the kids, and a private shower and bathroom. Everything was very clean (except our outside balcony which was covered with bird poop, but whatever; the birds were there first). The food was amazing - yes, it's institutional food, but it's great for families with picky children - you can eat as much of the thing that you like! There was a TON of vegetarian options, also (we are vegetarians). Best variety of eating in all of Israel. There is also a cafeteria in the Masada museum, so you can get falafel and other types of sandwiches - even pizza. The workers there are also very friendly and helpful. It is also a nice place to meet other travelers and families. It's also a perfect location to climb the Snake Path; you wake up early in the morning (4:30am for us) and get started with everyone else. The Egged bus public transportation is right outside the door so you can easily go to Ein Bokek beach the day that you climb Masada - in fact we took public transportation all throughout Israel. The pool was incredible - it was so hot outside and so it was wonderfully refreshing - as you swim or sit in the pool you can enjoy the gorgeous view of mountains - we only wish the pool stayed open later! I'd stay here again and again. Also there is a great video to watch before you climb Masada and there is a museum attached. In fact, staying here is like staying in a museum / learning institution - do be prepared for student groups, but be happy that they are learning along with you.
Cons: I wish the pool stayed open longer, and maybe a little less bird poop on the our room's balcony. There was a lot of cigarette smoking in the hallways, but other than that the place was perfect, one of our favorite places to stay.

Pros: This is an amazingly clean hostel right at the foot of one of the most interesting tourist attractions of Israel with super comfy beds and friendly staff. It honestly exceeded all our expectations! I totally recommend staying here and doing your own Masada dawn tour. Also, a word of appreciation for the provided free breakfast with lots of veggies and fruit and even brownie. One of a kind. Best price-quality ratio we've encountered in Israel

Pros: the location was great. It is first line from the sea. It was near by stop for bus to Tel Aviv and Eilat. 300 m from Aroma it is kind of Macdonalds in Isreal
Cons: on the photo i have seen amazing room. But in reality the room was rather old and a bit shabby. Sport club was on the graund floor and exercise machines were very old and some of them didnt work
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location by the dea sea. Good spa and swimming by the beach. Rooms were modern with bathrooms with good water pressure. Given the room prices and hotel category I would have expected better quality of toileteries in the hotel. Breakfast spread was delicious and among the best we 've had.
Cons: Quality and quantity of toiletries was disappointing. Otherwise no complains. Seemed pricey and perhaps not the best value for money.

Pros: Rooms have a balcony with sea view and really comfy beds, we slept like babies! The spa is great. It's not big, but the pools are lovely and the water is nice and warm. Access to a private beach.
