Pros: Location was great! Rooms were spacious a little dated but that's okay. Complimentary shuttle to and from the restaurants was great. The hotel also had staff ready to help you book your excursions which was a plus! The pool staff were awesome :-)
Cons: I only wish the gym was open everyday for 24 hours.
5,7 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Never liked anything about the food and the ambiance they provide. You can barely get anything to eat and for linen they barely gave enough for two people. I had to share with my boyfriend. The room smelled like an old iron house that’s full of scrap iron or dumpster.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff was somewhat rude and did not really explain the benefits of staying there. Lack of information
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Normal
Cons: Unfriendly staff Not accepted credit cards Check-in to the room of another people, not say sorry, no upgrade. Check out at 10am - it’s more then strange. Dirty pool

Pros: I loved the beachfront view from the room & the location of the resort was perfect. The buffet breakfast at the Mexican restaurant was delicious and I’d highly recommend the Italian restaurant for dinner & dessert. We had lots of fun at the swim up bar also... everyone was so friendly & all there for a good time :)
Cons: I didn’t like the $250 deposit hold required upon checkin. I thought it was excessive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great for daily excursions to other islands.
Cons: The refrigerator and tv should be upgraded. They need onsite entertainment at night. The pool bar closes too early.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed there last year. I loved it. So went again this year. If I go again next year will definitely stay there again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk staff, very helpful and professional, Restaurant staff very friendly and professional. I will be visiting there very often.
Cons: No nothing.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location,we would only stay in the Marina section, ONLY!

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing. no complaints really. Food was amazing, staff was friendly, location is the best. Hotel room was spacious for my family of 6, we absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back again! OMG did I mention how great the pool was!!!! 10 out of 10!
Cons: One tiny tiny thing, I hate to see hairs from other guests in my shower. Tiny detail, but with some good rinsing during cleaning this could be avoided. Also found a long blond hair in my clean folded towel. It wasn't huge enough to complain about but just thought I'd mention so this can be remedied.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room which includes a kitchen.
Cons: It was Very Big
10,0 Excellent
Pros: As a resort that it is, it has plenty of services, it is clean and comfortable and has a ver nice pool. The restaurants on site were among the best that we found in the island. There is also a very nice coffee shop on site.
Cons: Having to pay an extra 6 USD to use the excellent gym.

Pros: View and location.
Cons: Perhaps the evening entertainment.
7,0 Good
Pros: The room was excellent with a great view and had everything you needed. The location was great and walking distance to everything you need. Overall, I think it was a great value.
Cons: The clientele was older-a lot of time share types who tend to be older/retired. They need to improve the bar/restaurant. The food and drinks were actually pretty good but the drinks come in tiny plastic cups and the bartenders are completely indifferent.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities - brand new kitchen , great gym, very comfortable for a family of 6 in a 2 bedroom suite
Cons: Had to wait for pool towels on several occasions. For the amount you pay, you should not have to wait
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were only there for one night. We have been to St Martin numerous time and always stay on the French side. Next trip wife wants to stay on the Dutch side, specifically to stay at the Royal Palm.
Cons: Nothing.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Great beach hotel, in a very convenient location. Lots of good restaurants nearby & a great beach area. We had a great 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with full kitchen. We didn't utilize the kitchen, because that is just not vacation to me. Even though the French side is known for their restaurants, we enjoyed every restaurant we at on the Dutch side. The staff was awesome. My husband left his favorite hat on the beach one day (Tommy Bahama hat...not cheap). We checked with the front desk. They did not have it, but they said they would let us know if it turned up. A couple of hours later, they called our room to say it had been found. We thought it was gone forever. Thanks guys!!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations are a very good value for the money. Being right in the middle of everything is a nice feature at night, you can walk to the bars/restaurants, shopping, marina for boating activities. The staff is very good, especially the bell hops (the one exception is the on property bar/restaurant, which is not affiliated with the resort...that staff needs a major overhaul). The apartment amenities are probably some of the best I've seen if you want or need the comforts of home. It was very clean. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are nice, the appliances are all modern and the kitchen was very well appointed. TVs in all rooms, with decent enough cable. Security on the beach and in the resort in general is very good, and its also a necessity considering the location.
Cons: This resort is for families and snowbirds on extended leave.. The beach is absolutely HORRIBLE. Its man made. The water is very very dirty, theres nothing but muck and rocks to stand on when you go in the water. The sand you see in the pictures is dirt, not sand. I didnt realize how dirty the water was til i went in - ONCE. I dunked once and became drastically sick. Its a sewer. There are a ton of large boats moored just offshore. While scenic to view from your deck, I am betting all that muck and murk in the water is bilge leakage. The pool is small and totally overrun with the whining elderly and screaming children. This is a timeshare complex that caters to long term snow bird renters who are looking for value, and families that want to let their kids run wild while they sit in a chair and ignore them. NOT my idea of a carribean vacation. If your priority is a beach vacation where being on a white sand beach with that beautiful carribean water, make another choice. We spent the remaining days on the other side of the island. Also, the island itself has changed drastically, its downright dirty now. Lots of jamaican peddlers and beggers. I have made my last trip to st. martin.
7,0 Good
Pros: The appartment was superb, 2 bedrooms and a large livingroom and kitchen. overlooking the Simpson bay.Within walkingdistance there are several restaurants. The staff was very friendly. The only problem (not regarding the hotel itself) was the awful traffic jam because they are working on the Welfare road until december 2011.
Cons:
5,3 Okay

Pros: All the hotel guests were friendly. The rooms were comfortable and relaxing. Ideal for a family vacation as well as romance. We plan to stay there again.
Cons: Most of the staff were not friendly, especially the front desk staff. The absence of daily maid service, but we made do. The pool was being renovated during our stay.
7,7 Good
Pros: The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed - each with a gorgeous ocean view.
Cons: The onsite restaurant was mediocre but there are several excellent restauraunts within a 3 minute walk.
7,7 Good
Pros: Everything was clean and comfy. Convenient location to shopping and restaurants. Pool theme was "tropical fun."

Pros: Staff was very kind and helpful, room was quite large and bed was comfortant. There was also kitchen equipped with basic stuff. Only can opener was missing :) And wonderful sandy beach is just few steps from the door. Also you can observe planes as the runway is just on the opposite side. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: The resort is amazing! Food and alcohol is wonderful. Beach is first class and the views are the best you can get!
Cons: Only negative I found was that very little information was provided at check in about the resort itself. Did not know until our stay was almost over that they have someone there to help with transportation and excursions especially since we did not rent a car.

Pros: Location is great.
5,7 Okay
Pros: The bed lines were very clean
Cons: They charged me a $10.50 reaort fee per day, when my Kayak reservation said everything was paid in full. The walls are super thin, so you heard everything in the halls. The concierge desk called at 830am. It took me over an hour to get checked in. They have a pretty early checkout if 10am
6,2 Good
Pros: The resort is in the best location in Simpson Bay with a great pool/ocean area. Restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: We were there for 16 nights and only had iur room cleaned 3 times. Floors were dirty so recommend bringing an extra pair of sandals for room. For $300/night I would expect more. The microwave was filthy dirty when we arrived and was never ince cleaned.

On a single island where Dutch meets French lies a true island paradise. Located just footsteps from a half-mile of stunning natural beach in Sint Maartin's Simpson Bay area, the Atrium Beach Resort and Spa is a quiet, beachfront resort that overlooks the calm Caribbean Sea and is minutes from exciting watersports, the glamorous nightlife and duty-free shopping of both the Dutch and French sides of the island. The rolling hillsides, blue lagoons and breathtaking vistas of Sint Maarten don't just set the stage for a beautiful vacation; they make their mark on every visitor, building memories to be cherished for a lifetime. Taking in as much of the landscape as possible is something that many guests try to accomplish while visiting this stunning island, and the area has an ample supply of activities to do just that. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: Customer Service was exceptional
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved that it was a studio with a fully stocked kitchen. Our housekeeper was a fantastic woman who did a great job and helped direct us around the hotel when we needed something. All of the staff was accommodating and kind.
Cons: Hot water was intermittent, but with the warm weather, it wasn't too big a deal.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Atrium was great for us as we had stayed there before. It is a relaxing way to enjoy St Martens. It is on the beach, close to the airport and is so well located that we did not need a car. We had a great view of the Bay and mountains from our room.
Cons: The WiFi reception was sketchy at times. Car traffic on the main road near the Atrium has really turned into gridlock for most of the day from one end of the island to the other on the Dutch side.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location, within walking distance of several restaurants.
Cons: The room we rented needs an update. New tile, new bathroom facilities. The internet worked in our room sporadically. Several guests plus ourselves had to go down to the lobby if we wanted good connection.

Cons: The internet service wasnt good at all I dont know if was an issue they couldnt fix but it only started working on the last day of our stay other than that everything was ok.
7,5 Good
Pros: The people were very nice. restaurant and bar staff was great. There was a worker every morning cleaning the pool. And pool was enjoyable. Maid service was prompt and good.
Cons: The store was not open. No place on the property to buy water etc. They was a small water machine in lobby but most times no cups available. While we know they are still recovering from Irma the spas on decks were empty, which was fine but filled with dirt etc. The pond on the property was not flowing which again was ok but filled with old water and dirt etc attracting mosquitos. did not see anyone working to maintain greenery and landscape. This property as the ability to be beautiful if they hire someone to take the time to main it. From our oceanview room there were roof tops of other buildings with trash and items that can easily be cleaned. a little time and staff and the place will be wonderful.

Cons: There was no hot water running in my room
7,1 Good
Pros: Loved our room and view! Room was clean and housekeeping was very accommodating. Loved the searing plate on the cook top. Nice covered and secured parking. Pool area clean, nice and inviting. Hotel in process of major redo from new owners. Could see a visual improvement every day.
Cons: Had to beg clean beach towels to the point of going to the laundry to obtain from housekeeping. Front desk staff friendly at best. Mostly just smile and say either okay, or sorry depending on situation. No fitness room, on site store or free WiFi in common areas as was advertised. Overall, great stay. obtw, the sheets suck! You may want to invest in your own when you get there unless they upgrade.

Best rooms in Simpson Bay

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything. The staff was friendly, place was clean, food was good, and drinks were good!!
Cons: I would recommend is the water for tea being a bit more hot. And I wish they had a swim up bar on the ocean point side instead of the maho being that it is adult only.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Really comfortable beds, very close to airport and Maho Beach to see the plane landings, but it’s not a beach you can sit on or sunbathe on. Really lovely staff, Lauretta and Omar from the Azul were great. Great mini bar in room. After we checked out we could still eat/drink until we left and we were allowed to use a hospitality room to shower and freshen up. Edge pool is lovely, very quiet and nice to spend the day there.
Cons: Food was terrible other than the odd dish we had at the Azul restaurant (but the service was incredibly slow). We had maybe 4 good dishes in a 10 day stay! Ocean Terrace Buffet was small, not varied and not very hot. Food was the same every night. Breakfast was passable but not great. The Chinese restaurant, Jings, was dreadful. Don’t waste your time going there. The beach BBQ wasn’t great either. The Palm Grill was average at best. The Casa Blue Tapas was average but much better than the buffet. We’ve stayed at TUI Sensatori resorts and the food there was far superior. This is NOT a 5 star resort. Food really lets the place down. One night we just had a bag of Cheetos rather than eat in the restaurants. Clean pool towels were rarely available before 1pm. One day there wasn’t any at all. The cabana beds at the Edge pool - one had the same sheet on for 4 days and one didn’t have a sheet for 6 days straight. Beach Beds at the main pool always seemed to be reserved with signs, but then would be empty until late afternoon. Really irritating. No kettle in the room. WiFi - free WiFi was very slow and cannot he used for FaceTime, downloading music/books/movies or streaming. Snail pace speed and that’s when you could actually get online at all. We then had to pay $80 for 7 days of “super fast” wifi. Considering the hotel had cost us almost $400 per night we were disgusted that we then had to pay this on top. As we were there for 10 days it then cost us an additional $16 per day for the last 3 days! Bars - good cocktails, though there was always something that had run out. One day it was pina colada mix. Then limes. Then the blenders wouldn’t work. We had a big ant problem in the room for the final few days. No idea where they came from or what attracted them but we were overrun. Spa treatments were very expensive. For the price they charge per night and the hotel description, we expected luxury, we got 3 star at best. Definitely wouldn’t return.
9,4 Excellent
Cons: More dining options but considering what the hurricane did to devastate this beautiful island, it was anazung
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Live music and nightly entertainment were good. Latin fire show was excellent. Loved the tranquility of adults only side.
Cons: Claimed to have 24 hour room service, but for 2 consecutive nights had no desserts despite it being on the room menu.
7,1 Good
Pros: The bed was really really soft and comfortable. The room was clean.
Cons: The resturants except one allows children, I thought this was all adult resort.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: location and scenery.
Cons: nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable
Cons: The planes all the day.
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: The location the food was disgusting reservations not available alacarte n buffet r horrible best bet find food outside the resort. There is no entertainment n no night life staff is not friendly the whole ordeal was horrible there were children running around even though we paid for adults only trying too get drinks loud yelling screaming jumping the worst place ever will never return don’t waste your time
7,7 Good
Pros: The grounds and bars were inviting and relaxing, sunset bar a true tranquil place to u wind.
Cons: The 5 star restaurant Azul staff was a disappointment. The food was tasty and inviting despite the poor service.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location and Views/ocean.
Cons: The food wasn’t that great and our Butler didn’t come by after the first day.

7,5 Good
Pros: The people were very nice. restaurant and bar staff was great.

Pros: The pool was looking nice and seeing the pool boy cleaning it every day. The garden is nice , but it need some attention.

Pros: The location and the view
