Pros: The Sir Stamford exceeded our expectations. I brought my 86 year old mother to see Sydney for the first time in her life. We stayed 5 nights. The location; cleanliness and warmth of the staff was outstanding. I couldn't say enough about the friendliness and service of the staff.....they were well mannered; made you feel at home and couldn't do enough for you. It felt like it was from the heart and nothing was too much of a burden. We would stay again with you and would not hesitate to recommend the Sir Stamford to anybody that wanted to listen. Thank you for a most memorable stay and a beautiful, positive advertisement for customer service in Sydney. My Mum left with wonderful memories!!!

I booked a room for a friend, under the friend's name, and then the hotel charged my credit card for parking and mini bar. Not my friend's card. When I called about it they were not interested.

Pros: My parents thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the Park Hyatt. The staff were friendly, helpful and genuine. They went out of their way to make sure my parents had a great time and were looked after, including sending complimentary champagne and dessert for my father’s birthday which was a very special and thoughtful touch. Thank you! The view from the Opera room was fabulous. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

It was our 30th wedding anniversary and The Pullman had a bottle of champagne in a ice bucket waiting for us with a lovely card. Whilst sipping of the champagne on the verandah over looking out wonderful harbour a cockatoo landed on the rail and sat with us for sometime. Amazing!! When we saw staff they always checked if we needed anything - what a fantastic stay at The Pullman.

The hotel itself is very comfortable and extremely charming. The location is great, nestled in the Rocks area of Sydney, where there are lots of things to see and do. It's a very short walk to the ferry and train stations, as well as the Operahouse and the Harbour Bridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our Stay at Harbour Rocks Hotel. We highly recommend it to anyone, and will definitely go back.

Cons: The room was v small. There was one chair without a cushion. A number of other sillies didn't help. For example, The TV was fixed on a wall at right angles to the bed so you couldn't see it from there. The small wardrobe had two nice dressing gowns inside which left absolutely no hanging space for clothes. I would not have chosen to boil a kettle in the wardrobe either - awkward and steamy. The hotel restaurant menu was very restrictive - middle eastern food only- nice food and nice staff but not what I would have chosen

Definitely takes longer with amazing amount of stairs to climb then to arrive the building has many stairs as well. Definitely don't walk if it's raining. As it was raining the dinning room is rather tight. On fine days there is more room into a courtyard area.

We used it late on the first night as we arrived back from the theatre on a wet evening. Everything we would have needed for breakfast was provided. Pros: We had to leave very early for the airport. There was a breakfast room with serve yourself cereals and bread with a toaster and a fridge, where we found milk. We used it late on the first night as we arrived back from the theatre on a wet evening. Everything we would have needed for breakfast was provided. There was a cab rank opposite the pub, which was helpful.
Cons: Extremely noisy bar overflowing onto pavement, no reception desk, we had to find someone to check us in, take us to our room in an antiquated hard to manage lift. The room only had a washbasin, we had to use shower room across the passage and a separate single toilet. The booking had been made for my daughter and myself through you and my husband and the label Grand Hotel had mistaken it for a proper hotel, not a pub. I am 86, using a stick to walk with, so my daughter had to sort things out for the two of us.

Pros: Exceptional location: You can walk to all points in the city center and have access to an immense public transportation.

Pros: Allowed early check in, having 2 kids, this was a blessing
Cons: We were in the 4th floor and elevator was broken. We had to carry all 4 heavy bags ourselves. They were completely understaffed (only one girl working the whole hotel) and no one was available to help us. This was not a good start.
