Average
The position was good opposite the entrance to Darling Harbour able to walk too with ease well lit up area.
Don't stay here due to construction site next door has just commenced we were on the 14th floor and the jackhammer went for hours. At 07:00 the next day it started all over again come back in maybe 2 years time if the site next door has been completed.
Close to Darling Harbour
Hotel was convenient , quiet and a 5 min walk to harbour
Older furnishings and bedding Pool & sauna old
The walls were disgusting they needed painting
Good location.
The doors of interconnecting rooms don't stay open. An interconnecting room should have one door between them that the parents can control, not be two rooms. The ironing boards need foam underlays so guests are not ironing onto metal (did ring up and no underlays were available).
Pre book hotel and had to pay a 1% surcharge for credit card usage. If it is you, do you think you would bring along large amount on cash to pay for your own hotel room? this surcharge was unnecessary. Again, is it necessary to charge another $100 on top of the total bill?
The convenient central location
The room was somewhat dated, in particular the carpet needs to be replaced with something more colourful
great location for the city, theatre, restuarants & transport
Cleanliness
Broken freezer, water through fridge/old TV's (despite brochure showing flatscreen)/no minibar/bathroom old/double bed instead of queen/mirrored wardrobes
Close to the cbd and Darling Harbour for our stay. We had a wedding in Darling Harbour.
A lot of traffic noise and general public leaving the Darling Harbour area late at night and early morning. If I did not have my wife and daughter staying with me I would have called the night manager to listen for themself the amount of noise coming from outside.
Terrible! Very unclean. First. upon arrival we were told that we could not have a non smoking room (which we had booked months ago). If this was not to our liking we could swap the next day! Second. Room was not clean, and of course smelt of smokers. Third. We found a cockroach in the room. Fourth. Internet was charged at $24.95 per 24 hours, but was given to us free after mentioning that my booking through booking.com said it was free......should i go on?
Overall apartment is spacious
Worn out furniture in the apartment. Dish wisher did not work which caused the power switched off hence the fridge defrozed while we we out which was flooded the floor. We told them the problem 2 times but never resolved. One ceiling light was not working. Cutlery in the apartment only enough for 2 people, hence 2 sets each and all cutlery and crockery are mixed and matched. Glass top of side table was cracked and it could be dangerous to young children. There was one time we were in the lift with the hotel maintenance person holding a plunger who told us he just unblocked the toilet in one of the apartments. It seemed to us there might have a few maintenance problems in the apartments.
Excellent location when attending events at Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour. Staff were very pleasant.
Bathroom clean but tiling ready for renovation.
Central location, Easy access to city shopping and transport and Darling Harbour shops and restaurants, 2 rooms adjoining but separate was wonderful.
Inability for staff to help with air-conditioning problems in one room.
