Pros: We are three sisters who had 3 rooms, we stayed 2 nights, first time in Suffolk. We chose the location to have a relative join us at The Case for a luncheon catch up. We enjoyed a friendly welcome from Barry who escorted us to our rooms, which exceeded our expectations for the room rate. In the rooms was a lovely basket of goodies, on an honesty box basis. Also lovely gratis home made cookies on a daily basis. We were greeted by the lovely, warm hearted host Linda, for our evening meal. Linda was very attentive and made us feel at home straight away. Lunch with our relative was perfect, plus we then moved to the very comfortable conservatory/deli area where it was like home from home, we sat and chatted for hours, with Linda checking if we had everything we wanted. The food and service experience for our whole stay was exceptional (especially the freshly squeezed orange juice, a rare treat). Well done Linda and Barry, am amazing couple, we really enjoyed our stay with you and will definitely revisit you again. Barry's cooking and home made bread and cakes were all of a five star standard and delivered with a smile. We did not want to leave, The Case is an absolute gem, hats off to Linda and Barry. xx
Cons: Having to leave, we wanted to say longer.

Pros: What a wonderful stay. We had the upgrade to the jacuzzi room and everything was top quality and clean. We then had a meal in the evening - 23rd December and it was perfect - roaring fire, delicious home cooked food and lovely service with Linda and Barry making us feel part of the family. It’s been running for over 30 years and we can see why!
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good value, clean and friendly. Not straightforward to find in the dark.
Cons: Easy to miss.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are honestly priced and clean. The owner (I assume she is) is approachable and straightforward. The breakfast is excellent (Pay £ 5 extra). The Angel Inn very close by has very good food and the staff are kind and welcoming.
Cons: It is not the easiest place to find. Ignore your Sat Nav. It is within a few yards of the Angel Inn. Where it is located the main street narrows and there is no pavement on the side at the entrance to reception and parking. There is some additional parking space adjacent to the property where there is currently some scaffolding.
6,7 Good
Pros: Loaction was good aswell as being a good price for a night. Staff very friendly. Excellent full breakfast. Rooms very clean
Cons: I would say the only downfall was that it can get very noisy at night due to it being a pub.

Cons: Didn't like the Room we booked with you at all. We had to move room and they changed and extra £20. Not happy. The room is described as Chic and cosy. Great for 2 children Not adults bed to small and room claustrophobic. You couldn't go to the toilet in the night withou climbing over your partner. This room should be sold as a single not a double.

Pros: The staff really made an effort to mark our anniversary from chocolates in the room to a hand written card. The cocktails in the airmen's bar are exceptional too. The spa is lovely, the rooms and location are gorgeous, we couldn't have asked for more.
Cons: There's really only some very, tiny nitpicking that can be done with this wonderful hotel, making sure the finishes in the room are immaculate would be so easy, as the rooms are just lovely but taking the time to paint over some small filler by the bathroom mirror and replacing a lost cupboard drawer knob. The wifi is also a bit patchy. But that's genuinely it, everything else was sublime.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast in a wonderful historic room
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Pianist in the Restaurant makes a great evening
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with comfy bed and superb food
Cons: Breakfast took a very long time to arrive
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a quaint property and comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast. The spa is a bonus.
Cons: Beware because of the age of the property there are a lot of very low beams and one ran right across the middle of our bathroom. No number of warning signs stop you from banging your head!!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old building, with a nice atmosphere. Polite attentive staff. Perfect location to explore the village and local area. Breakfast and evening meal both very nice and freshly cooked.
Cons: Parking in the hotel car park can be an issue. If unable to find a parking bay within the hotel or overflow car park the parking in the village is at a premium. Suspect this could be a real problem in the busy summer months.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The decor and history
Cons: Parking and it is expensive
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 1 night. We had a lovely room with a sitting area and the dogs were well catered for (they even got a little goody bag on arrival). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There were some lovely country walks nearby and the hotel was right in the middle of Lavenham so there were plenty of places to eat if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. The food in the Brasserie was very good and the service was of a high standard. Comfortable bed and we both slept well.
Cons: The room was on the main street - it wasn't too noisy but there was some traffic noise in the evening and morning. The bathroom was pretty small - it was very nicely done but ideally I would have liked a bigger bathroom. The hotel don't provide any mats or beds for the dogs so we had to use to the towels they had given us to dry them off as beds.

Pros: Lovely staff great location good food
Cons: It’s a bit shabby
7,0 Good
Pros: I thought breakfast was great from the cooked selection and the location of the hotel is really good for visiting lots of places of interest in the area. The staff were very helpful and the food we had in the restaurant at lunch time was very good with a wide selection of meals to choose from.
Cons: The breakfast was very limited on the cereals, fruit, yoghurts Danish pastries etc. Would feel much happier if there was a larger carpark to leave the car in rather than having to leave it on the front.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic. Very modern and comfortable. Shower was amazing and a nice big telly too. The food was excellent and the staff could not have done any more for me. I would definitely stop here again.
Cons: Although the room was superb it was in an annex out the back with some very slippery metal stairs leading up to it. As a disabled person I was a little uncomfortable with this but in all honesty I didn't request a disabled room so this was probably my fault.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean, room nice and warm, staff very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent, breakfast has good choice and ate in the restaurant in the evening too. I can't fault anything.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room, evening meal , and breakfast were very nice. The barman was very loud continuously, told every one that he hoped it would be a quiet night as he wanted to close early, which put a bit of a damper on the evening, AS IT WAS NEW YEARS EVE !!!!!! I think the best thing he could do on any occasions when customers want a nice evening, is to take he evening off, the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: loud bar man

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy large bed, nice decor, cosy room
Cons: Road was busy but didn’t bother me too much. Rooms could be better sound proofed, could hear next door.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated old building with excellent fittings
Cons: Pub sign being illuminated all night and shining in the bedroom
7,9 Good
Pros: Very very clean, you could eat your dinner off the toilet floor! Spotless! Bed was made and bins emptied daily. The bar was lovely and not too pricey, the fire was cosy and warm.
Cons: There wasn’t enough milk left in the room for tea and coffee, 4 little cups of the uht and considering I paid over 300 for two nights I’d have expected some more milk! We would have loved to have eaten there but it was a tad pricey for us. Even though we paid so much for the room breakfast wasn’t included and was an extra £15 for us each, which we didn’t get in the end as there was other eateries close by.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff
Cons: A pity the bar and restaurant was not open after 5pm.
7,1 Good
Pros: I really liked ALL your lovely staff . Supper was delicious. Plough is in lovely , convenient , quiet location . Fantastic bed & lovely linen & towels . Good sized en-suite . Three things that I didn’t like : Step from room to en-suite is REALLY dangerous. Motion sensor floor lights ? Carpets in public areas are in horrible state - floorboards would look so much nicer & be easier to clean Decent bread at breakfast -poached egg was perfect but that over sweet sliced brown is horrible - sliced granary - like say ‘Burgen ‘ - tastes so much classier & isn’t much more expensive .
Cons: Put in box above !

Pros: Friendly staff and owner, good atmosphere at dinner and bar. Very good breakfast each day.
Cons: Requires a lot of updating, shower did not work, moved room due to heating not working in all rooms.
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was nice. Unfortunately there wasn't much choice for my evening meal as half the menu was sold out at 8pm on a Wednesday night. I believe there was a change of ownership so it might have been to do with that.
4,2 Okay
Cons: Filthy carpets in bedroom shower curtain was disgusting!breakfast was ok but not many choises, no cereal no extra toast and so on. All in all I won't be staying there again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting --comfortable bed - good food
Cons: TV in room 7 had no BBC channels available. Unable to find how to reprogram TV on remote. Referred to staff who had no idea Friday- 4/10/19 . Still no BBC on Saturday evening!!! It would have been nice if someone had taken responsibility when problem highlighted and tried to fix the problem!. Otherwise the next guests in room 7 will have the same issue.

6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast good with attentive service by staff. Room 47 with excellent views across river and fields.
Cons: The chair in room 47 is too large for the available space between the foot of the bed and the desk area, which means its use is worthless, asked if there was a stool that could be provided, told not possible. I was not aware that the hotel allowed dogs, one was next to me despite other rooms being available along the corridor, this would have negated being disturbed by the dog barking at 2145 hours and 0630 hours on my second night. The hotel has a stand alone building next to the car park, why can't dogs and their owners being placed all together.

Pros: Breakfast was ok but one day the sausages were pale and the next day they were so dark and over cooked the inside had spewed out, poor consistency, the bed was in need of a new mattress, the room was charming and very nice. Breakfast buffet with a little creativity could look much more appealing, get the chefs out to get inspiration.

Cons: The room floorboards very creaky room quite noisy, cooked breakfast could have been better.
7,0 Good
Pros: Helpful friendly staff, comfortable room where everything worked.
Cons: Very disappointed with breakfast. There was nothing on the buffet replenished; no pastries, no fruit, no orange juice 45 mins prior to end of service. Had a long wait for cooked breakfast but it was good once arrived.
6,7 Good
Pros: Lovely old place, very comfy bed. Great breakfast in the morning. Lovely meal at the party in the evening.
Cons: Soooo noisy! It sounded like there was a generator in our room! We don't know what it was but really noisy all night. The room was freezing when we walked in as the radiator was not on. We turned it on and it needed bleeding twice. The bathroom was cold and the window was covered in mould. The light in the bedroom was covered in dust. Only two tea bags, no decafe coffee so we had to share a tea bag in the morning and the evening.
