10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location overlooking the sea. Particularly loved the balcony.Staff were excellent.
Cons: Loved everything but a tablecloth on the tables in The Shed would be nice. Just being picky though. The road is really noisy but nothing the hotel can do there.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It's great to have a room with a sea view and just lovely to go to sleep and wake up to the sound and view of the sea.
Cons: As a disabled person, it's not the easiest of hotels to get about in, but it is manageable and the staff are very helpful and very pleasant, nothing seems too much trouble.

Cons: Car parking was a problem. Although we were lucky to find a space on our arrival. We did find it a bit expensive, but guess we paid for location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was better than we expected and our room and location was 10 out of 10. Staff we all very polite and friendly and being disabled they couldn't do enough to help if required
Cons: Our only complaint would be inconsiderate guests letting fire doors slam so perhaps put closer on with a soft close adjustment

8,8 Excellent
Pros: I liked that there was no problem with asking someone to pour my tea when the pot was too heavy for me to lift!
Cons: I found the room too stuffy, the bathroom was too hot with the towel rail on, and I never managed to work out how to get hot water so that I could have a bath! I might be a good idea to provide fans for when the weather is hot, and a notice about how the taps work in the bathroom!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Delightful staff. Comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Unpretentious
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very efficient and good staff.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, charming hotel, with one of the nicest hotel staff I‘ve ever encountered! Great food, I was surprised to eat so well in England! Cons: Nothing comes to my mind
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food and staff, lovely atmosphere
Cons: would prefer a duvet on the bed which was a super king size but the sheet and blanket were not big enough to cover the width with any overlap
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location on the beautiful Sidmouth Esplanade. Elegant interior in keeping with the era of the stunning heritage building. My room had a view directly out to the sea. Excellent concierge and reception team who looked after my vehicle and assisted with my luggage upon arrival. Very welcoming.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, spotless bathroom, wonderful sea view. Five star quality service delivered by excellent staff. A proper luxury hotel.
Cons: A larger more modern television perhaps?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were ,in the main, discreet and charming;nothing was too much trouble. One or two were chatting away between each other before the restaurant was clear. The menu was inspired as was the cooking.Portions were adequate:it's not the place to go for a pub nosh up,which is a point missed by some visitors.Mobile phones should not be used in such surroundings. ,during meals.
Cons: The elegant bed counterpane was too heavy for us,so we substituted a blanket!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Love the location
Cons: I would go there more often if it wasn't so expensive.
6,3 Good
Pros: The breakfasts were delicious
Cons: Room was unbearably hot, but fan was placed in room which helped a little. Asked for sea view, but not really sea view from the room.

Pros: Very comfortable bed Lovely cooked breakfast and thoughtful touches like homemade cookies in the bedroom, fresh milk etc Great location, very close to Sidmouth and the rest of the Jurassic coast Friendly staff
Cons: We ran out of hot water one night so only one of us had a warm shower.. Perhaps some music or the radio in the breakfast room in the morning. All the guests sat in almost silence, quite strange, needed some background noise to break the ice!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and friendly service
Cons: No fridge in the room Lead to believe the hot tub was included but not until we checked in were told we had to pay an extra £45 and had to book it a couple of hours in advance ( not read about when booking on booking.com !!!!!

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming, friendly, super accommodating, great parking.
Cons: A couple of minor issues with cleanliness (which admittedly I didn’t alert reception too).
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location.
Cons: The noise from The Dukes next door.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location. The staff were excellent. We loved the restaurant and the food was good.
Cons: Although comfortable the room was a little disappointing for the price paid. It was smaller than expected and in need of some refurbishment as furniture was a little dated.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The waitresses at breakfast and the breakfast itself were very good. Ate dinner on the first night and it was very bland wouldn't eat there again!
Cons: Room was too small and poorly laid out.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff spotlessly clean , delicious breakfast could not fault a thing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness and good sized room The staff were also very helpful and attentive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were excellent, they couldn’t do enough for you, and nothing was too much trouble, the breakfasts were great, my wife had Eggs Royale and they were delicious. The hotel was smart clean and tidy, our twin room was more than adequate in size with a fantastic sea view, the Hotel also has a lift which is a boon for the older folk , I do not hesitate in highly recommending this hotel
Cons: We had room 32 ,which when entering the bathroom for the first time smelled very strongly of drains, but after running some water into the shower it completely disappeared, the shower itself was ridiculously weak and kept going very hot and cold , the smell in the bathroom we were told was apparently under an ongoing investigation by their plumber, we forgot to inform the Hotel about the weak shower but they did apologise about the smell.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much good about the place except it was on the sea coast and right next to the center of the town.
Cons: Parking was horrible. Room was tiny and dirty with mildew around the windows. Bugs in room. Flat pillows. Linens wee dirty and smelled. My room was right next to Dukes Restaurant and Bar, so it was noisy and loud. I could hear the persons in the room above me walking around in the morning and at night. Breakfast food was awful. Tried to check out a day early with 24 hours notice and was denied a refund for the 3rd night. I think this place is a ripoff- I hardly ever say this, but Avoid!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Freshly cooked Breakfast was delicious - I had the Eggs Royale and there was a great choice from the buffet too. I had their only single room which was perfect and I even had a sea view glimpse. All of the staff was friendly and could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I will most definitely return and look forward to it.
Cons: Absolutely nothing

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, very good surroundings,Lovely breakfast, helpful staff nothing too much trouble. Ideal location not far from the promenade.
Cons: Could not find anything I did not like.
7,5 Good
Pros: great staff, brilliant location, nice views, easy parking
Cons: shower very very weak, could not really use it properly. outdoor pool area needs attention specially the changing rooms and water did not look very clean.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the rooms, the views, the location for sure, the staff, the pool, the environment, the history and the comfort.
Cons: The Jubilee Restaurant experience. It felt as though we were being hurried. Food was arriving too quickly. 5 courses in an hour and a quarter. The food seemed too prepared for speed, not quality.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room & bed were extremely comfortable & bathroom & shower excellent. Lovely evening dinner & service.
Cons: Only the weather !!
7,5 Good
Pros: Beautiful location real old world charm
Cons: water pressure weak in showers , swimming pool water turned our costumes green,
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous hotel. Wonderful views and room very good.
Cons: We didn’t feel welcome. We were refused an evening meal, having arrived 5 minutes late after a long journey. At breakfast, we had to ask how to order food. Changing a table within 12 inches of my food plate was not nice as bits flew up on my plate. It’s a real pity that we did not feel valued although we had booked one of the most expensive rooms. We paid £381 for a night of luxury but was let down badly by the staff.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was very friendly. The spar was lovely and relaxing
Cons: For the price of the room tooth paste could have been provided as well as slippers to use to go to and from the pool. Also house keeping staff walked in our room without knocking while me and my girlfriend were getting changed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely and friendly room was excellent bed was really comfortable views were amazing food was also excellent

9,2 Excellent
Cons: The motor caravan site next door.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The Belmont room was very comfy. Loved the front lawn area, very pretty. Lovely and Cisco's too the beech but away from a lot of the hustle and bustle of the town itself.
Cons: I thought the room Service Charge of £5 on top of what I considered to be an already expensive menu was excessive.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel with attentive service in a great location
Cons: Being seared comfortably in restaurant and then being asked to move was a minor irritation.
6,3 Good
Pros: The room was fantastic
Cons: Food was only served till 8:30 and room service didn’t do hot food
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic.Due to the booking we had to change rooms. The staff moved everything while we were out without any bother/ The beds, pillow, quilts were so comfortable. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff. Hotel. Location.
Cons: Food was disappointing and overpriced - £17 for a plain omelette with some salmon and cheese plonked on top is not acceptable. Jacket and tie is over the top for dinner - maybe a jacket, but this is not a London club or the Savoy!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: location excellent Hotel full of 'mature' guests and formal coat and tie for diner however they have a new horizon restaurant which is same food but more relaxed which we enjoyed staff were helpful and excellentlovely location
Cons: rather old fashion seems to attract older generation and formal not always what you need for relaxing weekend breakfast ok nothing special have to ask for everything boiled eggs initially poorly cooked but second effort better
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast superb. Location of this hotel is fantastic and also free parking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was excellent. We had a room overlooking cricket field as it was a last minute decision we enjoyed watching the cricket. We had 6 course evening meal in evening could not fault anything. The bonus was evening entertainment girl singer also man playing guitar. Very enjoyable.
Cons: Honestly there was nothing we didn’t enjoy. We didn’t think there was any need to charge extra £2 per head for entertainment.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My mum has been many times before and I took her there last year. Will definitely return. Favourite hotel in the UK.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast will set you up for the day. Bed very comfy, shower was excellent certainly blew away the cobwebs in the morning. Check-in very efficient and help with bags if needed, room was ready on arrival. We did have parking for the first four nights but we were lucky in that we found a space out of the front of the hotel. Otherwise this could have been a problem but there are long stay car parks nearby. Something you would expect right on the sea front. Our room had a lovely sea view. Hotel is very close to all amenities with some lovely walks nearby.
Cons: The parking could have been an issue but this is one of the sacrifices of being on the sea front.
7,1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, staff went above and beyond. The hotel was in a brilliant location on the sea front and close to the shops.
Cons: Parking was very sparce. The rooms at the back were very noisy with the kitchen noise and extractor fan noise. The room was a little dated and could do with a deep clean, dust, hairs, etc
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Being right in the middle of the sea front made this an excellent choice. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - really went out of their way to help people and please people - not just me I noticed. My awkward couple of very late arrival times due to work travel were completely accommodated and I wasn't left feeling like a social pariah as has happened in other hotels in the past. The rooms were superb (I had two as needed to be moved due to late booking). Breakfast good but not 'excellent' - this frankly is the only thing that could be improved in any way, and it's a really minor observation as I've had better, but then most have been worse so it's a very minor point indeed and I'm using this to give the hotel some feedback.
Cons: Breakfast good but not 'excellent' - this frankly is the only thing that could be improved in any way, and it's a really minor observation as I've had better, but then most have been worse so it's a very minor point indeed and I'm using this to give the hotel some feedback.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were excellent but Jane excelled! She always had a smiling face and was always ready to offer a helping hand. One to remember
Cons: Even though our room was small (I cold open the blinds without getting out of bed!), it didn't matter, the sea view and overall comfort made up for that one small issue.
7,9 Good
Pros: All staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming We were lucky enough to have one of the 2 rooms we booked upgraded to a seaview which was amazing.
Cons: The single room we booked was far too small for the price, couldn't swing a cat! I think the standard rooms are very over priced so if you can spend more then definitely book an upgraded room, I would not stay here in a standard room.
6,7 Good
Pros: Good location and friendly staff.
Cons: Poor value for money. Small room with even smaller cramped bathroom. Bed was very uncomfortable.
7,9 Good
Pros: Reception very helpful, staff nice, location and sea view great....
Cons: Shower was very slippy for elderly people, bathroom cramped. Water took ages to heat up...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, good shower.
Cons: The window was a little dirty!
7,5 Good
Pros: reception staff very very nice
Cons: room too small
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in excellent location on the Sidmouth promenade & seafront. Prices to match. Stayed in single room: very comfortable bed & good facilities, albeit with slightly cramped shower cubicle. Good breakfast included.
Cons: Apparently they don't have many guests taller than about 5ft 8inch as mirrors are all far too low for someone 6ft tall.

Cons: Pool design
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Breakfast, good service at table. Seaview
Cons: No complaints
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beds very comfortable ,and clean ,the views amazing
Cons: The room was much to warm ,for the 3 nights we stayed also very noisy from extractor fan ,be fair it was turned off at 10-pm , but their was some smell. Also parking is horrendous ,but the staff tried to do their best for us ,as we were elderly and disabled ,
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location. Hotel was comfortable but with the renovations a bit awkward at times but overall a lovely stay
Cons: Location
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was decorated very nicely. The room and bathroom was very nice and comfortable. The view from the restaurant was very good.
Cons: The location of the rooms coming into the courtyard. The parking was difficult, once you park the car don't remove it because you will loose your parking space. Use the busses !Some people put cones out what shouldn't be allowed. The good thing is that the public car park in front of the hotel can be used and the hotel pays the parking costs back. The food in the restaurant is nice but not splendid...This due to the fact that half board includes a menu for £27 and not a lot of people choose to eat "a la carte" and spend a bit more, therefore the best food is not always the freshest !
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed, excellent spa and restaurant
Cons: Sound proofing in room could be bettet
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was like a home away from home. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was a dream, shower lovely and the small touches in the decor made the room feel very homely and charming. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food and service were top notch. Our room rate included breakfast. The view is stunning. It is a large hotel with lots of guests so if you're looking for a boutique hotel this isn't the place for you. We highly recommend.
7,1 Good
Pros: Bathroom facilities excellent.
Cons: We were surprised, I suppose because we had thought we would be in the hotel and we were in a room which are nicely done but really just motel rooms. The cooked breakfast was not as good as we expected.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food. Really friendly and helpful staff. Good position.
Cons: The swimming pool in the spa was a bit small

Overview Reviews
Located in Seaton, Keystone at The Bulstone is a 4-minute drive from The Donkey Sanctuary and 9 minutes from Salcombe Hill Walk. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,5 Good
Pros: A small and totally unique hotel. Our accomodation was like a self contained apartment: two bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC. There was a communal kitchen for making picnics - great with young children - with fridge freezer for storing milk and other perishable food; a children's TV room and a large, well equipped playroom next to the dining room so we could have a leisurely breakfast whilst watching the kids play. Judith (our host) was delightful and very helpful. Our cooked breakfast was excellent - the best we had all holiday!
Cons: Although the hotel was a bit dated, it was clean and well maintained on the whole. The TV in the children's room didn't work which was a bit disappointing - although we were having such a great time in the playroom, we forgot to mention it to our host!
7,5 Good
Pros: took the full English breakfast, it was really good. location of the hotel was good for visiting our family in Axminster, perhaps a little off the beaten track.
Cons: Nothing. It was good value for money.
6,3 Good
Pros: Judith was very welcoming. Would be a great place to take children with the extensive playroom which was available. As other reviews have stated, the hotel is very dated but is clean and breakfast was good.
Cons: It was not clear from the listing whether evening meals are available. We asked before arriving and were told it was not possible which was disappointing, but at least we were forewarned (ended up traveling to Beer to find somewhere to eat).
7,1 Good
Pros: Lots of room as we had a suite
Cons: Tv in room didn't work. Breakfast was ordinary and limited choice
8,8 Excellent
Pros: good breakfast chioice
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast basic. Stuck in middle of nowhere on VERY narrow road, not safe to walk along.
Cons: Whole place in desperate need of renovation.
