Pros: I cannot recommend Tides Reach guest house enough! We were very late getting there due to traffic and Cen & Ali were so understanding. We were in Swansea as my son was having an operation and they couldn’t of been more accommodating, changing breakfast last minute when he couldn’t eat what he had ordered, fitting us in for breakfast early etc. They made us feel so welcome and we will definitely be returning for a holiday as soon as possible. The room was beautiful, with a huge bathroom and immaculately cleaned. The location is amazing, straight out onto the bay and walking distance to so many places, (parks, shops, restaurants, the pier and a lovely 4 mile beach on your doorstep!) Parking was also never an issue, there were always spaces available only a 20 second walk from the guest house. I cannot fault Tides Reach guest house in anyway what so ever. The owners, the breakfast, the location and the room were all exceptional. Can’t wait to stay soon, thanks so much Cen & Ali for being so caring for Hugo and myself Xx
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The hotel is right on Mumbles Road facing the bay, it is easily within walking distance of the restaurants and shops but not so close as to be disturbed. There is a great cycle-way and walk way along the bay front which passes on the opposite side to the hotel. This was a short break for my wife and myself and we particularly enjoyed the views and beach of Rhosili Bay and having a picnic in the grounds of the castle in Mumbles. Our room was very comfortable and a good size, as was the en-suite and everything was thoughtfully provided for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was superb, highly recommend the cooked breakfast, especially the black pudding. Cen and Ali are great hosts, friendly, helpful and informative, thank you both for making our stay so restful.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The view of the sea from the bedroom was excellent. The house was right on the front and the windows were really large allowing us to relax in either the bed or the two chairs and enjoy great views of the bay, Breakfast was also excellent. Portions were generous and all the food was really tasty.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The standard at Tides Reach was very high from the room we stayed in to the breakfast. All Covid measure were in place and we felt very safe. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed everything about our trip to The Mumbles
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Ali and Cen were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Excellent location as a short walk to Mumbles and an easy drive to the glorious Gower beaches. Really enjoyed my breakfasts, especially the omelettes!
Cons: My only complaint is that I couldn't stay longer!!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Cen, the host was super friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and amazing. The room was spotlessly clean. A lot of care was taken to ensure that the Covid-19 measures were in place. Easly accessible parking.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very friendly, good location, excellent breakfast choice and cooked to perfection, recommend the house omelette!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Easy to find thanks to clear instructions. Very convenient location, warm welcome, impeccable facilities, generous and delicious breakfast in a very pretty and tastefully decorated room. Bedroom comfortable with everything we needed -and a fabulous view. Couldn’t be better!
Cons: Nothing!

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Thank you for a brilliant break
Cons: What an excellent guest house. Very clean., food was brilliant and the owners were lovely, couldn't ask for anything else. In these covid restrictions they couldn't have made us feel safer every pre caution was taken. We will definitely be going back.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Last minute same day booking which they were happy to accommodate. Everything you need in walking distance. Made to feel very welcome, I’m guessing the other guests were too as there was plenty of friendly conversation between guests at breakfast which was included in the price. Quality traditional breakfast with the timing of the poached egg perfect ( you can always judge a place on their poached eggs ). All round great experience especially as it wasn’t planned. If I am ever heading over that side of Wales again from Kent I will definitely be stopping here again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautifully decorated throughout. Hosts really welcoming. Responded asap to my enquiry about parking. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent 10,0

Pros: This is our second stay at Llwyn country house and it is definitely our favourite hotel in Llanelli. Staff are super friendly and accommodating, our room was upgraded for free which was a lovely surprise. The suite we stayed in was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and excellent value. We will definitely be returning
Cons: That we were only able to stay there for 2 nights.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location was perfect - close to all attractions yet peaceful and secluded.
Cons: I enjoyed everything about my stay.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Absolutely stunning country house set in beautiful grounds. Out of this world, really could have been anywhere in the world, so peaceful and gorgeous. The owner ‘Steve’ and his wife are just the best host and hostess, really couldn’t ask for a more friendlier, genuine couple, nothing was ever too much. Breakfast in the morning was mind blowing and of such a high quality with plenty available. Can’t wait to book again x

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Booked a single room, very comfortable bed, good hairdryer and iron in room, too.
Cons: Shower is small but adequate,
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Central location with a sea view. Although the room was on the small side is was well laid out and immaculately clean. Met the owner and he was very personable and helpful. Great sea view. all in all a perfect location doe a long weekend
Cons: Unfortunately breakfast was continental but we were informed before we set out. Even though we we could not eat in the dining room I would have liked a warm option of say bacon sandwich.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Welcome . Staff attitude and support excellent breakfast lightist breakfast croissant ever so fresh .
Cons: Size of shower room and sink separate but okay
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Close to all facilities so no need to drive or use public transport. Lovely clean and fresh entrance to welcome you into the property!
Cons: Nothing, except perhaps missing the cooked breakfast due to COVID . Having said that the breakfast in our room was excellent!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Amazing location and the view! Liked the fact that breakfast was served in the room as it's always difficult for us to get up and get ready in the morning so this option was perfect for us. Comfortable bed and cosy bedding. Busy road but once the window was closed there was no noise in the room. We hope to come back in the future. Thank you Andrew.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great position
Cons: Small shower
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great location, near lots of good restaurants
Cons: Due to Covid there is no cooked breakfast. I don't really understand why this is not possible.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Excellent view over bay. Well appointed rooms. Friendly welcome. Excellent restaurant.
Cons: Car parking is on the street or in nearby public spaces
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fabulous people and place. Can highly recommend
Cons: The only minor negative is there is no car park
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Superb views and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We love Patrick’s with Rooms as you are made to feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door. The rooms are lovely and bright and the food... well that is just amazing!
Cons: We did notice that some items in our room were in need of a little TLC. Mainly just cosmetic things like the from of middle drawer of the bedside cabinet came off when I opened it and the shower control needs tightening up. But these are very minor things which definitely did not detract from us enjoying our visit and we will be returning.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Lovely room with French doors onto small terrace.Really good breakfast served in room due to Covid. Meal in restaurant was good, decent menu excellent service. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast was served in rooms due to Covid - but was good quality and served on time. Dinner was excellent with some very interesting items on the menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was light and airy with a good view over the sea with an exceptionally good bathroom and very comfortable large bed.
Cons: The TV could not be viewed easily from the chairs in the seating area and there was no sofa or desk in the room, although these were in details. Parking was difficult due to it being a busy period (half-term holiday). Some confusion over the final bill (early payment discount of £25 was not given) and initially overcharged - but rectified by staff without any problems.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: The breakfast was good & the staff were very friendly
Okay 5,0
Pros: Location is excellent for visiting The Gower. The majority of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and there is plenty of car parking. Breakfast was good but there could have been a wider selection.
Cons: The standard rooms overlook the car park with no nets on the full length door at ground level, so people could stare straight in. The room was small and cramped with very little storage and the bathroom was also extremely small. The cleaning left a lot to be desired, especially in the bathroom where the grout between the floor tiles was filthy, the ledge at the bottom and outside of the shower screen was filthy and there was black mould on the tiles inside the shower. The hand-held shower head was broken and the water didn't have enough pressure for a satisfying rain-shower. The mugs on the drinks tray were really dirty and had to be changed when we arrived. The television didn't work properly and was very difficult to use. The room was more like a cheap motel room.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Quick and easy check in, the room was very clean, breakfast was lovely, the staff were all very nice and helpful while also having to adhere to covid 19 rules
Cons: nothing to dislike
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The food was of an excellent standard. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: Overall there was nothing we didn’t like about the stay.
Good 7,0
Pros: Nice Full Breakfast proportioned well for well healthy eaters like us.
Cons: There was no wow factor about the hotel. Our first impression on way to room 6 was shabby carpet, which did not create good first impression.
Good 7,0
Pros: Staff were brilliant, location great just a few hundred yards from the seafront and a short walk away from the town centre. Food in restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Standard double room a bit small only a very awkward limited wardrobe space to hang clothes. 2 small drawers for your socks & underwear. If staying for longer than a weekend would be a problem especially if you have a good function to attend.
Excellent 10,0
Cons: NOTHING--IT WAS PERFECT
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff were friendly and attentive the food was amazing service impeccable
Cons: Absolutely wonderful stay. Allan and his team were amazing. Such a beautiful property with great walks and fab views. An absolute pleasure to visit
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Friendly staff and comfortable bed.
Cons: The shower was quite small. The stairs going down to the ground floor were steep and the tread was too narrow, this was due to having to use due to covid.

Okay 5,0
Pros: Staff were excellent; all those we had contact with. Food was very good. Breakfast freshly cooked, and better than average! Rooms were well appointed, but not practicable!
Cons: When we arrived, the property is on a golf course. I did not see this in the description, and would not have chosen to stay on a course. The lodgings were not easily identified. I asked and was directed to a shabby building next to the clubhouse. The pro shop was also integrated into the building. I asked where i could get a key for our room and was directed to the Club bar. The person was very helpful, but our room was on the third floor. I did ask to change, as my wife has a knee problem, but they were full. Only 6 rooms. The room was in the eaves, well appointed, but small, and with sloping ceilings both sides. i am not tall, but hit my head several times. No room for a full sized wardrobe, and a half height cupboard was the wardrobe. Otherwise the room was ok. Beds were vey hard!
Excellent 9,6
Pros: In general everything was fine and it was an enjoyable stay.
Cons: There was a floor to ceiling bathroom window looking out to the carpark that was completely transparent over the full length.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Clean room Good size Quiet Excellent breakfast
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Excellent location . And perfect for golfers
Cons: Nothing not to like. 👍
Good 6,0
Pros: Beautiful views. Quiet location.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great breakfast given the difficult circumstances of Covid
Cons: Couldn’t make the most of the won’t owe from our room
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Lovely quiet location Very good breakfast
Cons: The only thing we didn’t like was that the room was in the eaves, so sloping ceiling on both sides; being tall made movement around the room very difficult - bruises to prove it!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very good breakfast, in a lovely setting as part of a golf course. Room and bathroom very clean.
Cons: Room quite small and view not great, but this wasn’t really a problem for a couple of nights.

Poor 1,0
Pros: Stayed in the small Byron’s cottage. Clean bed linen and towels, useful welcome pack, ample hot water, lovely location.
Cons: Accommodation very cramped and crammed with old, tired and shabby furniture and equipment. Bathroom very grubby and dated. Living area chairs grubby. Carpet on stairs and upstairs bedroom faded and dusty. Exposed and noisy pipework everywhere.; kept us awake. The whole cottage needs gutting and total renovation to bring it up to the standards guests expect today. No point describing it as an idyllic farm cottage when it was so substandard. It is quite possible to make the interior of this old farm building into something comfortable and appealing but this hasn’t happened. In the circumstances it was very overpriced and we felt very disappointed. No excuses for this, you need to up your game Clyne Farm
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The place itself, you are in the middle of nature and at the same time 10 minutes from the center of Swansea. Furthermore, the facilities are very good and the staff is very welcoming.
Cons: Nothing at all!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Cosy and comfortable - the welcome beers and Welsh cakes were a lovely touch when we arrived.
Cons: N/a
Good 7,0
Pros: The location and view is exceptional
Cons: Cleanliness of the kitchen - cooker and hood wasn't great
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We stayed in Chapel Barn, the place was lovely, the accommodation was clean, the location was perfect and the welcome gifts of Welsh cakes and beer etc were a nice touch. The staff were great and we would definitely return for another stay.
Cons: It was all perfect - no complaints at all.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Breakfast wasn't included
Cons: My single bed wasn't comfortable, the mattress felt a bit lumpy.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Wonderful location with gorgeous views. We all loved the farm animals, bunnies and especially the horses.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Historic atmosphere
Excellent 10,0
Pros: A great atmospheric step back in time . Wonderful !
Cons: Nothing at all.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: My wife described the house as if Dylan Thomas 'had just popped out for a bit'. The house was an exceptional and memorable place to be, like staying in a time capsule such was the attention to detail. Would definitely recommend. The brief film of Jimmy Carter recommending the house was amazing and particularly poignant.
Cons: All was fine!
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Geoff the owner very welcoming and gave a quick tour of the property which was wonderfully atmospheric and much more spacious than expected.

Pros: Great location for the Uphill area exploring the Mumbles
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Met the staff this week lovely people
Okay 5,0
Pros: The bed and location were fine.
Cons: Dated room and noisy neighbours. Tv and loud conversations till past midnight. Fire doors slam and emergency lights on all night which shine through the door.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: we had a couple of minor problems, but the owners reacted immediately and sorted to our saftisfaction
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Room/shower room were very clean, clean linen sheets and fluffy towels, lovely modern shower.
Cons: AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! You may end up in ROOM 13 (KING) at the FRONT/ground floor which is VERY noisy due to traffic! This guest house is on a busy crossroads and traffic lights, near a row of shops and restaurants, and there was loud traffic noise - into the early hours of the morning! On top of this, you can hear people walking above - THUMP, THUMP! I called management straight away and asked for a room change, but was told all other rooms were full, as bank holiday! Not surprised this one was free! Room 13 is also next to front door, so every time people return it's noisy. Bed - soft and metal squeaks every time you move! The traffic noise has been an issue going back years - see previous years reviews, when management say they'll improve with soundproofing - NOTHING has been done! Windows are very cheap, couldn't tell if poorly double glazed or single glazed! Room was hot - no fan, you cant open windows, due to noise! The nice long grey curtains shown in the photo of this room are not there! The flimsy ones that are in the room are much shorter than the window pane and thin, so let light in from the street lamp outside! Narrow, steep area in back lane for parking possibly- but you then have to walk down lane and past shops to get to front, or try to find parking further up the street! This room was not worth the £69 paid! I would definitely have left, had I not arrived after a long drive at 7.00 in the evening, and little accommodation left in Swansea due to bank holiday! I changed to a different hotel the next day! I would strongly suggest management spend a bit of money on a fan, decent curtains, which cover the length of the windows and most of all on some decent secondary glazing and soundproofing! Until then, travellers should be made aware that the room advertised is on a noisy crossroad!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I liked the location and the cleanliness.
Cons: Nothing.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Leaving
Cons: No water pressure so shower was rubbish, single room was very small, very old fashioned decor/bodged up, someone banging on a door for over an hour when I was trying to rest in the evening. Old wiring so possible fire risk, doors don't close very well especially shared bathroom.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very straight forward check in Room was lovely and even had a sea view!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amazing room for the price, lovely staff, room was very clean.

Good 7,0
Pros: Good location, room very clean, staff very friendly
Cons: Room a bit basic, toiletries sparse, curtains thin so outside light shine into the room all night
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great room with enough space to set up baby travelcot. It came with a sofa and superb views over the bay through ceiling to floor windows. The room invited to stay not only sleep there. Staff was helpful and did take breakfast off the bill as it was not served due to Covid. But they had lovely recommendations where to go instead. Great location with lots of nice food places and walk along the promenade. 20 minutes to the larger beaches like Oxwhich and Rhosilli by car.
Cons: Very narrow hallways, if you have to get a lot of things carried. But helpful staff will offer to carry.
Good 6,0
Pros: Lovely views around Swansea bay from our hotel room
Cons: The road outside can get very busy
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: COVID precautions and cleanliness were acceptable.
Cons: The booking.com page stated that breakfast was included in the (high) price. On arrival we were told that there was no breakfast because of Covid. The hotel has had plenty of time to correct the information provided. The man behind the reception desk could not help - he was 'just another resident'. Although the room was clean, the atmosphere was impersonal and depressing.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Central location
Cons: No toilet holder in room Toilet cistern broken on arrival Smelly drains No headboard Stains on sheets Rip in Duvet cover Uncomfortable pillows Smelly carpet Light on landing not working. Did not look like any of the pictures on website.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Staff
Cons: I don't know about other rooms, but one non sea view room it's not for everyone, dark, damp and cold... Feels like in the basement. Very sorry to say it, but i just wanted to escape asap
Okay 4,0
Cons: we were only told breakfast wasn't being served when we arrived for breakfast. We got a refund. I can understand COVID can have an impact but it would have been better to have been told when I booked and paid for B&B, or at least when we arrived the previous evening. There is music from the pub downstairs from 7am, not very relaxing
Mediocre 3,0
Cons: Due to covid breakfast was cancelled this should have been emailed to me.had to go and hunt out breakfast. Car parking was advertised as free but we ended up using pay and display.

Poor 1,0
Pros: This place is NOT for holidaymakers, o.k .for an odd golfing night? NO room cleaning or bed making ,our rubbish bin never emptied, We had to ask for clean towels. There is no nothing to sit on except the bed. No one in charge they never answer the phone or emails . for holidaymakers VERY POOR. In short their room was occupied which is all they care about.
Cons: See above.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Room was passable a little on the tired side however the bed was very good. shower also very good.
Cons: Breakfast was poor, hardly any fruit, the cereal was out of date. to get to the accommodation from the carpark you had to walk between a rubbish bin that was so full most of the rubbish was on the floor (not been emptied for a long time) and a overgrown bush, The outside of most of the property needed a good clean up.
Good 7,0
Pros: Location was excellent. Golf course was good. Food was excellent. Friendly staff.
Cons: Property needed maintenance & decoration.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Breakfast small choices but adequate could have had more choice in cereal and maybe dried fruit and nuts
Cons: The room was very clean and spacious could have done with a couple of chairs to sit on while reading or having a drink
Good 7,0
Pros: Good location, room spacious and clean. Warm and friendly staff but obviously just starting to come back from lockdown so struggled with numbers. Breakfast was good but not a lot of choice.
Cons: Decor very tired in places and facilities ( eg bar and restaurant) closed. No staff to meet on arrival, probably due to staff shortage after lockdown. In room drinks making ( coffee/tea) not replenished.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Comfortable Bed and good shower.
Cons: No glasses in room, no chair, television was very small.
Excellent 8,0
Cons: No Wi-Fi in rooms and tv reception intermittent depending on weather conditions.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful Beautiful setting
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Clean and comfortable beds. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money and great location
Cons: Low light not great for reading one bulb not working on bedside lamp. Stain on carpet.

Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Not much good to say sadly. It was nice and quiet, and right across from the beach. Tv and sink in the room was good to have.
Cons: The room was horrible. Took five flights of stairs to get up (bathroom was back down halfway, and was not nice). Broken window, wifi didn’t work up there, bed was wirey and uncomfortable, ceiling in the hall was leaking, door looked like it had been kicked in. And the breakfast was in a hotel down the road and wasn’t very nice. Quiet far to walk into town. This is NOT a “three star hotel”. Really disappointing.
Good 6,3
Pros: Location
Cons: Pictures on website said there would be a veiw but we had one small window looking into a back ally
Mediocre 2,0
Cons: I don't know where to start! Smell of smoke on arrival all through hotel, room very dated nothing like pictures on site. .then on return from evening out person smoking cannabis outside then was up and down stairs and talking outside bedroom window most of night with a local by sounds. If that wasn't bad enough had to put up with him back and forth toilet vomiting on several occasions. No staff to report too plus booked breakfast to be told it's down the road at another hotel! ....Where a lovely young lady walked in minus her bottom half.. you couldn't make this stuff up.. shocking!!!
Okay 5,4
Pros: Location
Cons: Disgusting. Thick with dust, bits in bed, skanky mattress, under mattress the bed metal is covered in old dirt... Shower has black mould. Sink in room cracked and dirty. Etc etc.
Okay 4,0
Pros: The TV worked well internet worked and the shower was nice and hot
Cons: The whole place needed a good scrub and updating the only clean thing was the bed and that wasn't great
Mediocre 2,0
Cons: Very cold and also dirty.
Okay 4,0
Cons: Uncomfortable bed. Broken shower.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Good location for our needs. Tv and tea and coffee provided. Toiletries in ensuite. Wi-Fi fairly good signal
Cons: No staff on premises to check in after 5pm. Instructions via email to obtain keys and room number. Room not aired, smelled stale. Double mattress very lumpy! Ensuite could do with deep clean. Window looked out onto backs of buildings and a fire escape stairs. Only 2 hangers in wardrobe and one towel. No staff available to request more.
