Excellent 8,0
Pros: I felt very at home and comfortable there straight away. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet. It is a beautiful position, good for exploring Mumbles and the Gower, and also Swansea centre is easily accessible. I left the car at home and found the local buses to be frequent and stress free. I would certainly return.

Good 6,7
Pros: Big car park, nice room, tea/coffee facilities, wi-fi, comfi bed
Cons: Thin walls so if your nighbours are noisy you'd better have ear plugs
Good 7,0
Pros: Service and quality of food
Cons: Shower took long time to heat and even than it was not hot enough
Good 7,0
Pros: It was very homely. The bed and sheets were wonderful!!
Mediocre 2,3
Pros: Rooms decorated nicely but staff inexperienced
Cons: Cottage accommodation 250 yards down road from hotel.Breakfast till 9.am for convienance of staff.
Good 7,0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent value for money and very good quality.
Good 6,0
Pros: Dinner at hotel was excellent. Cleanliness was good
Cons: I responded to your description on internet that a family room could accommodate up to 4 adults as meaning just that however, we were shown to a room which had a child's camp bed as the extra bed. Our adult son could not have slept there, but situaltion was resolved very well. For our single other companion I had booked a double room ie with a single bed, but when we arrived she wsa fiorst shown to a single room with a single bed. She was re-localted, b ut this room had no carpet in the bathroom. it was replaced whilst she wsa getting ready for dinner!
Good 6,8
Pros: A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere to this hotel, and the food and service is excellent.
Cons: None.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: The room offered great space and comfort for the price and easily catered for our 5 person family
Cons: the fire doors caused some health and safety issues for our 3 and 5 year old
Okay 4,0
Pros: Good accommodation
Cons: Very understaffed. Service at breakfast was very poor although the food was fine when it eventually arrived.
Okay 5,7
Pros: Friendly staff, giving local relevant and personal advice on places to eat and buy surf gear.
Okay 5,7
Pros: The staff were very helpful, understanding and flexible (I ordered 2 courses at dinner but then changed my mind and just had starter as was not feeling very well - staff were very nice about it, no problem, and only charged us a very small amount for the starter). They also gave us good advice about nice things to do during our stay in the Mumbles.
Cons: I think our room was maybe near the kitchen, but a very loud humming noise kept starting and stopping all evening up until almost midnight, not possible to sleep through it.
Okay 5,6
Pros: The bath was lovely and location was good - near to Mumbles and Caswell bay
Cons: The Tv was difficult to control - decor of the room dated - top of kettle dirty and the room could have been dusted - there was a wedding party on the night of our stay who were very loud until about 1.00 am so we had limited sleep - their rubbish - broken glass bottles, fag butts, empty cans were all around the entrance in the morning when we went in for breakfast. The breakfast service however had to be the worst experience as the staff were slow to seat us - there was mess everywhere from previous guests and the staff seemed unaware of the need for speed, a chap in particular would take one dirty thing out at a time or go to the kitchen empty handed where he could have multitask - we asked for coffee but then had to wait for milk, there was a few juice varieties to choose but no clean glasses - no fresh coffee on offer. The cooked breakfast was nice although the order incomplete. Other guests were also unhappy having to wait for toast and then giving up - general attitude of staff serving was not good. I think the management should take these comments on board to improve this service regardless of wether the hotel had many guess to stay - more staff who had adequate training should have been on duty to cope with the demand.

Good 7,7
Pros: The staff left you alone & the cottage was lovely.
Cons: The heating went off to early (22.30)
Good 7,3
Pros: Beautiful location, not too far out of town, great lodging.
Cons: They should kill and eat the roosters.
Good 6,0
Pros: cosy cottage; well supplied;warm; kitchen facilities good;staff helpful.
Cons: noise outside window early on sunday morning;cold breakfast only.
Good 7,3
Pros: The peaceful location.
Good 7,7
Pros: The cottage was peaceful and relaxing. The views across Swansea Bay and the Gower were stunning.
Good 6,8
Pros: Quiet, clean, unexpectely (and fully equipped)self catering. Beautiful views.
Cons: No soap in the bathroom: Towels galore, all the washing up stuff, freeview amd comfort, but no soap.
Good 7,6
Pros: Excellent views over Swansea Bay and surrounding area.
Cons: Our sat nav packed up, tried to ring for directions, no one on reception to answer call.
Good 6,8
Pros: Lovely location and good general condition.
Cons: We weren't brought our breakfast and I had to phone in the morning for it - though it did then come promptly with apologies : ) Also, the tv in the room didn't work. Small gripe, but no point in it being in there really.
Okay 5,2
Pros: Location, friendly staff, cottage was good with complete kitchen, (bed)linnen was clean, very nice view and good walking trails.
Cons: Not a english breakfast, we couldn't check out before 9.00 am, very expensive for what you get (80 gbp a night without English breakfast just Continental)
Good 6,4

Excellent 8,0
Pros: It was very homey
Cons: None
Good 7,3
Pros: The warmth of the welcome, the fact that the house had been restored to its Edwardian origins with painstaking detail .... and the fact that it was Dylan Thomas's birthplace and family home. The proprietor had left lots of excellent information and books to bring Dylan Thomas 'back to life'.
Cons: The 'hotel' was really good. The only reservation I have is the pricing policy. We paid £300 for 3 nights for the entire 4 bedroomed house, yet there was also a charge per person if we exceeded 2 adults. This is very confusing! I think the charge should either be based on rental of the property, or price per person - not both!
Good 6,7
Pros: It was a wonderful experience of days gone by. The children thought it was fantastic as it was like a museum without the barriers!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Dylan Thomas House is a work of art and you will never forget your stay. As soon as you cross the threshold you step back into Edwardian times and every room is truly fascinating. It is still a very comfortable hotel but also a truly different and memorable experience.

Pros: Staff are very friendly
Cons: The room is small, the bathroom is not adequate facilities but clean.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Leather sofa in room
Okay 4,3
Pros: View from window
Cons: Lack of comfort, hard seats every where including bar
Okay 4,3
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: Small room. Bedside lighting and bathroom radiator did not work but there was nobody around to report this to. We were given a very slight reduction because of this, but generally I felt we had average bed and breakfast facilities at hotel prices. On arrival I was not told any information about facilities e.g whether there was a guest lounge, what time breakfast was, if an evening meal was available etc.
Good 7,3
Pros: The location of the hotel is superb, right on the waterfront. Some rooms have fantastic sea views, these are a few pounds extra but I wish I had gone for those now, it would have been well worth it!
Cons: My only point of note would be that some rooms are up a number of flights of stairs - no problem for us but might be a consideration for the elderly or disabled.
Good 6,0
Pros: The location, overlooking Swansea Bay, was excellent, so the view from our sea-facing room was worth the extra cost, despite the trees mentioned in other reviews. The breakfast was good, and the breakfast service was prompt.
Cons: Some renovation was in progress, so the lounge was being used as a storage area.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Room with good facilities and lovely view. pleasant staff .ecellent location
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6,4
Pros: It was very relaxing and comfortable
Cons: Only bad point was not enough hanging space for clothes
Okay 5,6
Pros: Good location Very good breakfast
Cons: Below average room facilities - uncomfortable bed, cramped bathroom, etc. Lots of narrow stairs, and no lift/elevator
Good 6,0
Pros: Pleasant airy and spacious room. Staff friendly and pleasant. Convenient for resort and Swansea
Cons: Breakfast mediocre compared to recent visit to b and b {same price} in York. Unfinished Decor and bathroom fittings. Entrance rather dowdy.

Pros: Staff were courteous and helpful
Cons: Cold shower on arrival but put right by following morning
Good 6,0
Pros: Very pleasant, helpful staff.
Cons: Room was very noisy-heard man next door singing enthusiastically in the shower etc! Shower in our room was broken.
Good 6,4
Pros: Good sized rooms, well cooked food, friendly staff, excellent location with extensive views of surrounding area. Competitive rates.
Cons: Not a lot but shower required fixing and water supply was too hot and interupted by use of other facilities/users. A child would have been badly scalded.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Great location, good that they were able to accomadate our dog as well although when we booked they were a little unsure about it. English breakfast was good.
Cons: Glad that our children were staying else where as the main heating had broken down an the friday and had not been fixed and we were left with an inadequate oil heater, my wife went to bed nearly fully clothed. Also the near riot outside that spilled over from the party would have been very upsetting for young children to listen too.
Good 7,2
Pros: Staff very pleassant & helpful, excellent breakfast
Cons: Was an initial mix-up over rooms but quickly sorted

Good 6,0
Pros: The single room and shared bathroom was very small, but warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not included in the price, but was good value for money.
Cons: A sea view also gives you road noise all night.

Pros: It was a convenient place for me to stay to research my family history both regarding transport and that you had the freedom to come and go as you please.
Okay 5,3
Pros: Leonardo was friendly and helpful. There was plenty of tea/coffee provided in the room and these were replenished every day. The breakfast was more than adequate.
Cons: The rooms are not very soundproofed and I was kept awake until 4am on the first night by the televison in the room next to me. The bed was not very comfortable as the duvet was very heavy and the pillows were uncomfortable also. There was not much room to move around in the room.

Good 6,0
Pros: good quality accomodation, access to kitchen for free tea ,coffee. lounge area. Outside area .
Cons: we booked a family room as our 17 year old daughter was travelling with us, and I added a note on the booking form to that effect asking for an extra bed in the room. However when we arrived , the room had only been reserved for 2 people and we were told they did not have family rooms as such. Staff were gracious enough to comply with our wishes, they said they only get first page of reservation form which does not include the note to the hotel, bizarre! I showed them my copy of reservation which included the note.
Good 6,7
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff - facilities were excellent - not too sure about having to share a kitchen with other families - fortunately we had the place to ourselves. Very dog-friendly. Great place for families and would like to stay with family in a "self-catering" cottage. Ease of parking was helpful.
Cons: Would not choose to stay in B&B accommodation if families with children were around - but that is personal as we are a retired couple and prefer peace and quiet!
