Pros: Nothing was too much bother for concierge and front of house - amazing. (Though honestly, found most Koreans to be just as hugely friendly, courteous and accommodating. Lovely, lovely people). Our room was fabulous and all sorts of special effort for the children (including free soft toy - how will any other hotel satisfy them again?!) Restaurant on the lower level should be a tourist attraction of its own. The only thing that could surpass the amazing selection and quality of food available (high quality buffet style so kids could pick at whatever they fancied) would be the fact that it sat feet above excavated ruins that you could see and read about through the partial glass floor, and.... the 5 foot chocolate fountain.... REALLY! We came back to the hotel the following week as we had a couple of hours in Seoul before a flight. The staff were very happy to look after our cases for us, very accommodating!

Cons: Pool area was very popular but not big enough for demand. Staff asked if I would like a lounger (despite it being obvious none were available), then offered to put me on a waiting list!! Pool itself was decent rectangular pool you could use for lengths or splashing about. 2 large (full) jacuzzis.

Places where we could shop, eat good food, have a cup of good coffee and watch shows like Nanta were all within walking distance. I was extremely impressed with the concierge service. They suggested daily activities and attractions based on the weather. They also proposed places where specific items or Korean food could be found at good prices. They were also very patient when we needed assistance on matters such as day tours, shows and laundry.

Cons: Needs improvement in cleanliness as I could see dust on the inner side of the bedside table and corners of the room and windows. Also, be wary on how many beds are available in the room type you have chosen. We are a family of 4 but they expected our 6 year old to share a bed and we were not notified of this. Luckily the manager changed our room the next day and we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

One of the entrances to the myeongdong subway station is practically at its doorstep as is the drop off for the airport limousine bus. The hotel is new, its rooms are very clean and although the bathroom was quite tight it was nonetheless adequate for me as I liked the shower temperature and strong pressure. The staff are polite and helpful. I had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Seoul.

Cons: The breakfast was not worth of the price paid. There was only a very limited choice of food and quality was also not great. And only paper cups were provided for drinks.

Cons: Breakfast arrangements were very basic and needed to be pre-booked a day before since it is outsourced to a catering company who just deliver enough. So I would advice to go around the corner where another hotel offers a buffet open to everybody or walk towards the subway station and you'll find Tous les jours where you can grab a sandwich, salad, juice or warm croissant. The little café just next to the hotel is also very basic and when I went there they were out of sandwiches.

Pros: I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the location was close to the shopping centre and metro station. Price point is also very reasonable.
Cons: I didn’t like that we were not able to adjust the temperature of our air conditioning as it was centralised and our room was a little too warm. The room allocated to my husband and I was also smaller than expected for two people, whereas my friend got a bigger room even though she was staying alone. I think the hotel should be a little more considerate in terms of room allocation.

Cons: the only thing i dislike is that the room aircond cannot be control front the room. although we already set the temperature to our desired temperature, but the room temperature wont change. it make me sweat everynight before going to sleep since the temperature suddenly increase automatically.

Pros: Location is the best for this area, right next to metro stop, shopping streets and food outlets. Easy to get from airport to here without taxi. But if you have large suitcase get a taxi. 5min walk to cable car to seoul tower. Room was clean and bathroom was clean, staff helpful and friendly.
Cons: Rooms are very small we had a twin room. Ceilings are quite low, so tall people would feel closterphobic. Breakfast options not the best for westerners. Beds were quite hard, a mattress topper would make all the difference for a comfortable sleep.

Cons: The staff gave me a bit of flak when I needed a special invoice to get reimbursed by my work and the "pool" was laughable. Good place to crash for the night but honestly, there must be a way better place for as much money as this place charges. The location was fantastic though..I loved being so close to all of the great spots in Seoul. But honestly, my advice is do some homework and save some money.

Pros: The location of the hotel is brilliant as it is walking distance from many day and night markets and 10 mins walking distance from Seoul Central Station and City Hall. The rooms are spacious with big windows looknig down on the city buzz. I’ve stayed here twice and both rooms had a little table by the window where you can sit and read or type on your laptop while overlooking the city. No carpet in the room is also a big plus and no shower curtains.

Cons: I was not expecting that amount of dust in a 5 stars hotel. I even found a coton bud behind the TV. I sent an email to mention that and there was no answer to this so I decided to mention this here. Cons: The service around a business meeting was poor, I had to go get staff to set it up, chase for coffee, I had to ask for the meeting utensils, leads etc. Despite booking breakfast I still had to wait a short while as there was not enough seating to accommodate the amount of people who booked. The breakfast was okay but the Western options were poor quality. Lunch was to focussed on fish and did not do so much for meat eaters. The reception area has inadequate seating, so upon trying to sit down in the adjacent coffee area I was told to leave my seat. The bar was an extortionate cost, no wonder nobody was there. Also the hotel operates a two price system, so for some meals and drinks its cheaper for females than males which I find unacceptable.

Pros: Its my usual hotel I stay at whenever I am in Seoul. The room size is big and very clean. They provide all the amenities including coffee and green tea. The beds are big and wide. The hotel has its own cafe and bakery and there is another cafe called Angel in Us. There with a big CU mart along the side where its so convenient to get snacks and drinks. The hotel has a wonderful shuttle service to Myeongdong in the day and Dongdaemun at night. The area around the hotel is being developed so the older buildings are being torn down

Cons: No balcony and we have booked a double room but the bed is a combination of 02 single beds instead of a extra large double bed. But the worst is still the laundry facility as it'll take about 43 mins to wash the laundry and 02 hours to dry clean it. And there 's only 02 washing machines and 02 dryers. I think it'll be good to have more dryers as the drying process is much longer and do hope that laundry room can be 24 hrs instead of closing at 12AM.

Cons: The table in the room was not conveniently set up. Also the bathroom, was big but not enough place to my stuff. Hairdryer was not in the bathroom, had to blow my hair next to teacups. Too many group people, nosy and shouting. Location is good in the centre but the street where the hotel is bit dark and quite. I did not feel that safe to walk back to the hotel. Also the road along the hotel is very narrow. In the rush hour, you get stuck there. The room was a bit gloomy. The sensor of my bidet went something wrong and flushed loudly any time. They supposed to fix it but forgot. I asked to call a taxi but said that I have to pay 80,000won, usually it goes by a meter and many taxi drivers would love to take you to Inchoen Airport by meter. Perhaps there maybe other options to consider in town.

Easy parking at location. Rooms feel a bit 'dated' but not an issue that is worse than some of the surrounding more expensive hotels. Overall good package. If you are willing the walk an extra 50 meters, a stay at this hotel gives you the same access to the Lotte shopping experience as the Lotte hotel itself (and the cocktail bar of the latter). The experience was exactly what I expected based on the many booking.com reviews available for this hotel.

Pros: The Hotel in the heart of Fabulous Capitol City of Seoul! Fantastic location. Few minutes from metro station. At the front door of the Hotel you can take Bus to the Incheon Airport. To many attractions of Seoul walking distance. Hotel with Imperial design with very comfortable spacious rooms, elegant, clean. We came back every evening with great pleasure:) Staff helpful polite. Breakfast with large selections of products. Warmly recommend!

There was a music festival in the evening and the next there was a walking race that departed from outside of the hotel and still was no noise. Staff was attentive, cordial and accommodating ( got a few extra hours of parking and baggage storage for free). I highly recommend Koreana Hotel.

Cons: VERY dated hotel. In desperate need of renovation. Glory days for this place was likely 40-50yrs ago and it appears nothing has changed during this time. No A/C and no opening windows make for a warm stuffy room, even iduring our late October stay.
