Pros: Breakfast was superb. Different every day and plentiful. Great home cooking, stay until you get the biscuits (scones), also the pancakes really. The view from balcony wild Turkey , dear and so many humming birds. Hosts take real interest in where you are going and assist with plans. If ever in this area then this is where I am staying

Pros: The comfort of the room and the breakfast was superb !

Pros: The service provided by Joy and Clay is fabulous. The rooms have everything you need and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. A real personal touch.

Pros: Friendly family environment Very nice breakfast Silent countryside
Cons: A bit expensive, but that is the all Mariposa area 7miles to Mariposa Around 50 miles to Yosemiti Valey
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The value for money is unbeatable. This is a family owned and operated business. In a big house with swimming pool you get an individual room with toilet, and all little details and treats you can imagine! After 3 weeks wandering around in the US we can safely say this was the best place by a big margin. The best value for money. You are welcomed and treated like family in a paradise of quietness merely 8 mins apart from the city centre. We only regret not having stayed more days! You will be surrounded by hummingbirds!! deers!, wild turkeys... And again, all this with the best welcome possible from your hosts... Do not think twice if they have availability when you are planning passing by. I would come back every time!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is wonderful. Joy and Clay are perfect hosts and they make you feel at home. The breakfast is royalty. And while you eat you can watch the deers from the window.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean and nice attention to small details ie water in the fridge and M&Ms to nibble. Perfect place for us to stay while visiting Yosemite National Park. Mariposa was only 10 minutes away and had plenty to offer. Lovely breakfast and catered for my wife’s gluten intolerance nothing was too much trouble. Great hosts.

Cons: Having to leave!!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Room and bed comfortable and very clean and well ventilated. Breakfast choices fine and fresh, simple to partake. Grounds attractive clean and safe.
Cons: Challenging for Maps to find, google took us a very roundabout way. Also maps provided by mgmt cryptic and hard to follow. No decaf coffee or non-sugar sweeteners. Located very close to Hwy 49 so much road noise if windows left open.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place close to Mariposa and in between Yosemite's west and south entrance. Cosy and calming atmosphere, the host is lovely and very helpful. Great breakfast. If you are planning to visit Yosemite, definitely book more than one night there.
Cons: I loved everything
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very sweet, had helpful tips and made us feel very welcome. We really liked the breakfast and also that we could drink our coffee out of real cups and eat with real cutlery (not the plastic ones like in most of the other motels during our trip). The location was great for visiting the Yosemite National Park.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We couldn’t find a place within our price range closer to Yosemite due to short notice. It was a bit of a drive but worth it. Beautiful country. Loved our cottage!! Very clean. Nice outside deck with comfortable chairs. Nice wooded backyard in a rural area. Very safe and not too far from town to give you everything you need. Nice shower and a large bathroom. Comfy beds. Nice a/c. Breakfast was very basic but adequate. The host was very nice and very knowledgeable about bears when we asked about a bear we saw a little too close in Yosemite. Highly recommend this place. It felt like a home away from home and a nice change from a traditional hotel room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All very nice. Very friendly host with good tips on Yosemity. Very clean and tidy, well maintained room. Nice to be out of the busy area, but still have a restaurant and shop in walking distance. We really felt welcome. We will definately be back when we are back in the area.

Staff are not there all the time but provide a phone link out of hours, when they are there, they were very helpful.
6,3 Good
Pros: Good location and a clean room.
Cons: Large room but not very nice or cozy. Wifi didn't work, though a nice young man tried to fix it. It was quite unfortunate when we had to use the internet to plan the next day at Yosemite park. After a longer discussion, the owner agreed to a small reduction in the bill (5%)

Pros: We loved this hotel. Chintzy and old fashioned, but all basic facilities, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a humming bird feeder on the veranda, and it was great having breakfast there and watching the humming birds come and go. The breakfast was a limited continental type but was more than adeqaute for any traveller. Good location if you want to access Yosemite Valley (25 miles).

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Right on the main street of town, yet room 6 was insulated from street noise. Two humming bird feeders were very popular.
Cons: The bathtub in room 6 had a hose-end shower, but no shower curtain. I don't know how a person is supposed to take a shower without spraying water all over the bathroom.

Pros: Good all
Cons: Nothing
8,0 Excellent
Pros: New bathroom but small shower and sink area, comfortable bed and pillows (I wish they were bigger), Direct TV is excellent, Wifi great, heater/ac works great, coffee is excellent. Price is affordable and I will defiantly visit again.
Cons: The entrance doors are hard to shut and next door guests kept slamming the door again and again going in and out to smoke, very annoying.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice location. Quiet rooms and relatively clean.
Cons: Nothing special.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location to Yosemite was good. The price was good compared to other motels in the area. The motel was good and probably would stay there again.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean comfortable and close to everything we needed travel wise. Nice and quiet after a long day of hiking!
7,9 Good
Pros: Big room, comfy beds, great location in the small quaint town of Mariposa, close to restaurants and shops.
Cons: The smell of cigarettes even though that was a non-smoking room. Had to leave the aircon run most of the time to circulate the air.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for Yosemite. Also plenty of good restaurants close by.
Cons: Parking right in front of our room. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very clean.
7,1 Good
Pros: Mariposa is small, so of course it is close to everything. The fridge and microwave were useful. The beds were comfortable and it was clean.
Cons: The price is high for what it is. The air conditioner is very loud and didn't seem to have a working thermostat. It would turn itself off, then not turn on again. Had to keep the fan on constantly for it to work. Couldn't always park in front of the room. There was a guy sleeping in his car in the lot -not sure what his deal was.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
7,0 Good
Pros: The room was really spacious. The sink was outside the bathroom (more to do with old instalments). The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Shower pressure and drainage was good. Plenty of parking spaces. Need a car to drive around, but restaurants and shops are a very quick 5 minute or less drive from here.
Cons: The heater/fan was odd to control. If we set it as air conditioning, it seemed to blast wind and not cold air. The decor is a bit dated, but still functional. Room was clean, but some wooden furniture such as the TV bench was sticky. Staff did the job, not overly friendly though. The area is expensive, but this place is okay (not the best value for money).
7,5 Good
Pros: close to the city center
Cons: breakfast far from room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great stop in Mariposa! The motel has a nice pool and jacuzzi and it's very close to the city center and to great restaurants!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Good location.
Cons: Nothing.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Staff who checked us in was very friendly.
Cons: No Kleenex in room, hole in bathroom floor tile, TV did not work and when I called the front desk for help, was told that lots of customers checking in so too busy to help me.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great and spacious room. Close to Yosemite. Great and cute village !
Cons: Pool was icecold.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This was a reasonable hotel which we stayed in to visit Yosemite, though it was still a considerable drive from the park - shorter route to the main sights from the hotel using the 140, rather than the 120 which is almost an hours drive from the gate to the visitors centre. It had an outdoor pool that was quite popular if a bit cold. Full size fridge in the room, and a reasonable on site restaurant. Breakfast was served in the main building and was ok if a bit chaotic.
6,0 Good
Cons: The breakfast was simply disgusting and pathetic.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: A bit worn, but spacious rooms. Breakfast is good (eggs and sausages, you can make pancakes as well). Beds are OK, there is a fridge as well. Only one hour from Yosemite NP. General store 0.4 miles away (but the way to get there is not easy to find). Town is nice, shops, pubs, restaurants in the main street. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.
Cons: Basically nothing. Reception desk building is a store, and there were a 10 minutes waiting to check in, because too many people arrived at once. Our room was in a separate building, but it was not inconvenient at all.
7,9 Good
Pros: exceptional , a great choice of food and drink.in comfortable surroundings.
Cons: nothing
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast had so few choices that we drove down the road to Burger King instead.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is super nice, spacious, clean and the beds are really comfortable. Lou Ann is super sweet, helpful and we enjoyed the conversations with her a lot. Upon our arrival we were greeted by her two dogs, we immediately fell in love with. We 100% recommend staying at that place!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was like having a home in the country. Spacious main room with fireplace and a loft. Full kitchen and full sized refrigerator. Owner was really friendly and offered much information about the area. Great restaurant is nearby and culturally diverse.
Cons: Fan in bathroom made way too much noise. Cleaned and lubricated it myself but still made noise. bearings shot - needs replacements. Two bathroom light bulbs were not working. need replacement. Difficult to see well.
7,1 Good
Pros: This is a funky but nice place to spend a night on the way to Yosemite. Best to arrive in daylight.
6,7 Good
Pros: Owner was friendly and the cabin was a novelty.
Cons: Too far from Yosemite. 9 miles to food store.
5,8 Okay
Pros: location is good for yosemite valley and mariposa grove
Cons: No 'touch' at all from hosts. Also kitchen very inadequately stocked. It would only take a tiny bit of effort to provide some decent glasses and mugs.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The cabin is very spacious. The linens are washed in a residential washer and dryer so they were soft and smelled fresh. No commercial feel. The property owner met us upon arrival and made sure that we knew how to work the air and cable. She was very nice. If you want a rustic cabin to add to your yosemite visit, this is the place to stay. But it's not too rustic. Full kitchen with stove and acessories and great shower.
Cons: It's not super close to town. We had all our food with us, so that worked out well.
7,9 Good
Pros: The location, the staff, and everything else
Cons: Wifi access is limited
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location and the recommendations and amability of the staff
Cons: WiFi does not work inside the room. Some kitchen tools are missing.

Pros: Staff was helpful
4,6 Okay
Pros: Apart from the location & the very helpful lady on reception- NOTHING!!
Cons: Overpriced Dirty, shabby In need of a full refurb - tired, old furniture Breakfast - a bun fight. Hardly any seats, had to eat at the reception desk Could go on & on ........
5,0 Okay
Pros: bare minimum!!!
Cons: Shower pressure was as poor as an old man pissing on a flat rock! The office staff was not trained to check us out so had to wait for 90 minutes for a "manager" to drive to motel and use the proper computer program. Very poor desk service!!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the rooms were well equipped. The breakfast gave much choice for everybody. The location is great, pretty close to Yosemite (usually a one hour and twenty minutes drive; we had to take the long route though due to road closures). We would definitely come back again.
Cons: It can be quite noisy as the walls are thin, especially when neighbours decide to get up early in the morning to go Yosemite and you don't. You can hear (and feel) every movement. But that applied to practically every motel/hotel during our roadtrip.
7,5 Good
Pros: Big and clean rooms No street noise
Cons: The isolation is not good. When your neighbour takes a shower, it makes a lot of noise. WiFi is free, but between 7 and 10 pm, don't expect connection to the network.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Renovated hotel, super location. Very good breakfast. I can only recommend.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, less than an hour to Yosemite National Park, two decent restaurant in the close area and huge supermarket nearby. There were also good breakfasts.
Cons: There was WiFi in the object however it worked with long breaks. Every day after 9pm we had difficulties to connect which was pretty annoying. We noticed not many tables during breakfast and people eating at the reception however we didn’t have such issues during our stay.
7,1 Good
Pros: Mariposa is a lovely village. The rooms were a good size. Breakfast itself was nice (if you could find a seat).
Cons: The room was too hot during the night. The alarm clock went off both nights at 3am which we couldn't stop. Breakfast room was far too small for the number of guests. Wifi was absolutely terrible!
5,4 Okay
Pros: Clean Nice area of Mariposa, close to restaurants & shops
Cons: Don‘t go there if you want a good night’s sleep. Their pipes are super loud and will wake you up. Neighbors started showering at 5.30-6AM during our stay. It is so loud, that even heavy sleepers will wake up instantly. They should really fix this!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Hotel! Lovely big rooms. With comfortable beds, coffee machine, fridge & microwave. Staff were fabulous. Good breakfast. In a nice little town Mariposa. 45min -1hr to Yosemite Park.
Cons: Can’t complain about anything.

Cons: Ground floor rooms very noisy from rooms above. I explained when we arrived that I had 2 reservations, one for 1 night and one for 2 nights as we decided to arrive a day earlier. I asked if we’d need to check out and back in the following morning but the lady wasn’t sure. Paid for the first night and off we went. The following morning I went into the office where a man was at the desk, I asked him if I needed to check out and back in and he said no it was fine. When we returned that evening, our key wouldn’t work so went into the office and the same man was on the desk and he just reset the key. On our last night there, there was knocking on the door which I didn’t hear as I was asleep with earplugs in but it woke my mum up. She opened the door and the man said that there was no credit card on file for us and we needed to pay now. She asked if we could do it on check out in the morning as we were both asleep but he said no so she went across to the office half asleep and paid. I’m a little annoyed at the attitude of the man as I asked on 2 separate occasions if we needed to do anything and was told no, plus they must have had our payment info from the initial booking and from the first night we got there. Plus when the key didn’t work that was a third opportunity for him to have asked me to pay as I didn’t know all the nights hadn’t been accounted for on our arrival.

Pros: Clean, well decorated room, hard floor instead of carpets, central in Mariposa

Pros: Well, we arrived earlier than expected but Savannah couldn't have been more helpful on reception and put us in a ready room. The room was amazingly spacious, clean, tidy. Excellent views of the surrounding mountains. A small pool, Jacuzzi were also available for free which wasn't expected but was lovely. The unexpected breakfast was also incredible, fresh fruit, as much Danish pasty as you want, tea, coffee, juices. More than enough to satisfy the hungrier appetite. Mariposa is a 10 minute walk away with bars, restaurants and gift shops. All in all, great place to stay.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. It was a great place to stay.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find location coming in to town. Friendly folks behind the counter to get our rooms sorted. Huge, clean rooms with parking right outside the door - a real plus especially for motorcyclists. Coffee in the AM in a dedicated breakfast room
Cons: Location is at the north end of town, so you trade a better rate with a walk of 3/4 of a mile to get to the bazillion restaurants in the center. At least it's a downhill walk, so you get to work off a few of those calories chuffing back up the hill.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff going out of ther way to accommodate guests
Cons: No coffee maker

Pros: Our room was recently renovated, it exceeded our expectations. It looked much nicer than on the photos. After long hiking in the Yosemite NP we enjoyed the pool, which was clean and big enough. Overall we felt in love with the lovely town where this motel is located. There are some nice and authentic pubs and restaurants nearby.

Pros: Mariposa is well located to explore Yosemite if you're not staying inside the park and it has a number of nice restaurants. The motel is well-located in the centre of town and it's very good value for money.
Cons: The bathroom needs a little maintenance, but it's more than adequate.

Cons: Bathroom minute. No laundry facilities yet an iron and ironing board. Filthy swimming pool.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Affordable and semi close to yosemite. Hot shower, really comfortable bed, appreciated the microwave and refrigerator and ice machine and tv reception.
Cons: Still pretty long drive on curvy road after hiking all day in yosemite and tired. Really long drive if heading to hikes in tuolomne meadows or hetch hetchy areas-- better location for Yosemite valley travel

Pros: The location for Mariposa is good. The parking lot directly at the accommodation is useful. The staff was friendly.
Cons: The carpet is old and ugly. The blanket for the bed is to thin. The room and specially the bathroom should be renovated. The bathroom is to small and the shower curtain is a thing you don't want to touch. The price of 86,- (no breakfast) is to high. The location for visiting Yosemite NP is to far away (1 hour drive).

Pros: Staff is very kind and nice - they gave us very good suggestions for hiking trails in Yosemite. Very nice restaurants within walking distance. Parking available just outside of the room.
Cons: The facilities are a bit old and have only the very basics. The drive to Yosemite is quite long and can be tiring if staying at Mother Lode Lodge many days and planning to visit Yosemite every day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This may have been the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Yosemite. Also, there was someone in the room next to us for at least one night, and we heard zero noise through the wall. It was great!
