Cons: Nothing.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: This B&B is located a short drive away from civilization and that’s a positive thing. When we arrived we knew we had arrived in heaven. It’s a very scenic place with nice views. The room was clean and nice size. We had the most peaceful stay there. You could see and feel that the hosts have really though about what a tourist could need for a convenient stay. I would especially like to commend the breakfast which was just lovely. We stayed there for two night and both breakfasts were totally different and one more delicious the the other. I would return there without hesitation.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very sweet, had helpful tips and made us feel very welcome. We really liked the breakfast and also that we could drink our coffee out of real cups and eat with real cutlery (not the plastic ones like in most of the other motels during our trip). The location was great for visiting the Yosemite National Park.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Christine the owner is very nice and helpful. The hotel has a very nice and layed back atmosphere. Restaurant and gas station are right around the corner. Thank you very much. Would always come again.

Pros: Easy check in
Cons: Poor parking
7,9 Good
Pros: It is a charming building with just a few rooms in a great location in Mariposa.
Cons: We never saw anyone except the housekeeper. We checked in by calling a posted number and were given a code to our room door. We stayed 3 nights and expected to meet the owners or manager but never did. There are also some deferred maintenance issues evident. Small issues really, we enjoyed staying there

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming host (Mary). She gave us good suggestions about our visit to Yosemite and local restaurants to visit.
7,9 Good
Pros: Period room of a good size ... pre retro ! But lots of character. Mary the host was wonderful with lots of great advice ... comfy bed !
Cons: I would stay here again but : we didn’t get the verandah room we booked (maybe under repair) , front room was noisy on Main Street and provided and early wake up ..... also very bright when the sun came up. Breakfast was a bit of a let down and there is no parking at the property per se ..... the fact is that you park on the street ..... otherwise all good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Comfortable beds.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Mary was so wonderful. She had a lovely breakfast our for us, good coffee and she referred us to an excellent restaurant.
Cons: Heater could have been quieter....
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very charming place.
Cons: Room could use a refresh.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Right on the main street of town, yet room 6 was insulated from street noise. Two humming bird feeders were very popular.
Cons: The bathtub in room 6 had a hose-end shower, but no shower curtain. I don't know how a person is supposed to take a shower without spraying water all over the bathroom.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, clean, and simple. Wifi and full TV channel lineup.
Cons: Wish it were closer to Yosemite Valley!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint, clean and comfortable sum up this hotel! We loved the attention to detail, such as the lovely landscaping and chairs outside each room for enjoying the evening. It's close to everything, has a pool and hot tub, and is 40 miles from Yosemite!
Cons: They could have had another bar of soap available! That's the only thing I would have changed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms in the back away from the street.
Cons: nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: HUGE rooms! Convenient check in.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was large and clean. The bed was overly soft for my liking. The water pressur in the shower was very low. Overall a good value.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was a perfect location in town, walking distance to everything. Because it was pet-friendly and I did bring a dog, my expectations were not too high as to cleanliness and comfort. This hotel turned out to be perfect for both of us.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of parking, the rooms were clean, had both a microwave and refridgerator in the room at no extra cost.
Cons: They had office hours, something like between 6am and 10pm, we tried to call and go to the office during these hours and no one was around. They did not have the WiFi password in the room so we couldn't use it the first day.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: New bathroom but small shower and sink area, comfortable bed and pillows (I wish they were bigger), Direct TV is excellent, Wifi great, heater/ac works great, coffee is excellent. Price is affordable and I will defiantly visit again.
Cons: The entrance doors are hard to shut and next door guests kept slamming the door again and again going in and out to smoke, very annoying.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Ideally located in town. Young lady @ front desk gave great tip for restaurant - '1850'. After dinner, walked Main St. window-shopping, being mid-week, stores closed. Walked thru park-delightful! Room was clean/nice size, comfortable bed. Friendly town!
Cons: Pretty pricy! Stayed in National Parks Lodges cheaper.
7,0 Good
Pros: Big spacious room. Good bed. Friendly staff and owner
Cons: The walls are pretty thin so we could hear the neighbors slamming doors and their tv. Other than that great
8,0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Overall had an amazing room. The room felt like a like a house with built in stove and cool wear. It also had free breakfast which was fantastic.
6,0 Good
Cons: The breakfast was simply disgusting and pathetic.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We've stayed at another hotel in Mariposa last year and this hotel is FAR Superior. We were very impressed by the staff, the hotel was fully booked, but the rooms were comfortable and quiet. The complementary breakfast is worth the money alone: hot eggs and bacon, make you're own waffles, fresh fruit, and TONS of pastries. A lot of local shops are just a walk away. If you're wanting to go to the "downtown" area, you're going to want to drive down.
Cons: I couldn't find anything that we didn't like. The thing I can see people might not like is the "age" of the rooms and furniture, but you're nitpicking, in my opinion.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, room was very clean, amenities provided were adequate.
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast had so few choices that we drove down the road to Burger King instead.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Close to Yosemite park. Breakfast included.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was upbeat, informative and fun to interact with. The free breakfast was great with lots of selections and good hot food. The Miners Restaurant across the parking lot was very good as well. Full menu with salad bar and quality made-to-order entrees.

Cons: The price could've been a little better, rest everything was good.
7,5 Good
Pros: - Comfortable rooms - Coffee and tea to go - Good parking area
Cons: - Unfortunately not enough seats in the breakfast area. - The toasters continued to fail (electricity overload), solution to not use them all at once is not really a option when the breakfast area is fully occupied.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was plenty and good quality. Room was clean and the neighbourhood was really quit at night.
Cons: I know it's a common thing in inns, but I really dislike the blankets. The blanket is only covered with a sheet on the inside, so at night you might touch the blanket which is not always fresh after every guest. Weird for a European.

Cons: It was a little pricey for room, but to be fair it was July.
5,7 Okay
Pros: Reasonably close to yosemite
Cons: The room reeked of fresh paint fumes. It appeared that the hotel was managed / owned by a couple. The man was accommodating enough, but the woman was incredibly rude when I asked for an extra towel.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Awesome (bath)room! This little town is a great location when you do a roadtrip!

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find. Beautiful views from our room. Close to everything, we were able to walk everywhere. Centralize in town. Staff was AMAZING!!
Cons: Needs upgrades and a lot of TLC, there were a couple of friends bugs and many splatters on walls and ceiling.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Reconstruction going on
7,7 Good
Pros: Walkable distance to restaurants and shops. Not too far from Yosemite. Room was clean. Owner was nice and helpful.
Cons: Smell of curry everywhere is a restaurant. Room was right next to the lobby and the elevator. Kinda noisy. When we asked for another room, we were taold all the other rooms were dirty. Windows were facing the sidewalk. Vending machines are not working, had to ask the owner for assistance. Didn't have a microwave in the room, although it was supposed to be there.
Bear Creek Cabins - Mariposa - Bedroom
10
7,8 Good (208 reviews)
R1 488+
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were incredibly nice and helped to recommend the most amazing hikes and sights in Yosemite!
7,0 Good
Pros: Its very rural but it was a cheap place for a overnight stay only. Its cosy and big with a nice room upstairs. Its four cabins beside each other, and we had some friendly neighbours giving us good advice about Yosemite.
Cons: Except for the cabin we had there was no facilities. We knew that when we booked it. The room was a bit cold and there was no instructions for heating options. The internet could reach outside but was not usable in door.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy and warm. There's even a stove top, toaster, coffee pot maker and microwave! Very comfy beds with soft covers and sheets. It's a really fun small getaway from the city.
Cons: No heater, or fireplace but you should be fine as long as you keep door shut after opening.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the linens soft. There was ample hot water and excellent water pressure.
Cons: The cabin is maybe 30 minutes from the edge of the park as claimed, but it's another 4 miles (at a 35 mph speed limit) to the admission gate, and several more miles to any of the parking areas, so be prepared for at least 45 minutes of driving one way, assuming that the weather is good. You can take the YARTS bus, but it only comes a few times a day and will take a little over an hour to get you there. Our cabin room supposedly came with a kitchenette. There was an additional sink, toaster, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker...and a single hotplate. There was dutch oven, a six inch skillet (with no lid), a small soup pan (with no lid), some cutlery, mugs and plates, one steak knife...and nothing else. Don't assume that you're going to be cooking any normal meals here. There was a small electric space heather that was the sole source of heat-the thermostat on the wall was purely decorative-it fell off when we touched it because it was not wired to anything and the drywall mounts had come loose. The included toiletries consisted of one small bar of soap and a 1 oz bottle of shampoo. While the hostess was friendly the two times we saw her, there were no instructions provided on how to check out, so we left the key in the room when we left and hoped for the best. There was also no contact info provided. The cabin also had no phone, which was a concern since there's no cell reception or internet access available.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet comfy cabin close to Yosemite National Park. Friendly staff.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Place clean, bed Ok. Quiet!!! The cabin itself was adequate.
Cons: Not the easiest to find especially after dark, Looked like you were driving into a dump area when turning off the main road. Bathroom cold! No heat!! Room heated with space heater. Junk furniture on porch Food facilities not on property, however up the road a short way.

Pros: clean rooms, comfortable bed, parking close to rooms the lot is well lite at night.hotel is next to the 140 hwy that leeds into yosemiite park.the hotel is half the price as the hotels in the park, its well worth the extra beautiful drive.
Cons: the continetial breakfast, not alot to choose from but it was the middle of the week with few rooms occupid then.
5,7 Okay
Pros: Microwave and fridge worked. Beds were fine. It seemed like staff was actually available 24 hours (I didn’t test it though),
Cons: Had to pay for wifi 7.99$, two pillows per bed, tv didn’t work, only one room key, ice maker didn’t work, only one extra blanket in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The very nice and professional staff, the great location near the Yosemite Park, the breakfast. We arrived later in the evening and planned only to stay 1 night but immediately prolonged for 2 nights in total as we wanted to visit the park for another day and felt in good hands at this motel.
Cons: We assume there was a heating system somewhere outside or around the premises that was noisy in the night, but sleeping worked anyhow.
1,0 Poor
Pros: That hotel needs to be shut down and get all those bed bugs clean up.. It was horrible staying at the hotel bad experience never going back again never
Cons: Not recommended to no one
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money. Friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The location is good with short distance to drive to the national park.
Cons: Some staff is not friendly to his guests. The guest room is not renovated for a long time. The rest room is small. The heater is too noisy.
1,0 Poor
Pros: This hotel is the worst one in my life! There are three enexceptable things: 1, there is no stuff that can pretect from slippery that let my nephew slipped in the shower tub; 2, there is bedbugs in the bed, then we canplain to the owner of hotel, and
Cons: The owner told us return your money and you get out here! At 1 close in middle night! 3, the owner is too rudely! You can not recommend this hotel to our costumer. Thank you for your understanding.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff polite very quiet place.didnt complain about us listening to hip hop music on our phones by the pool
6,2 Good
Pros: This is one of the most affordable hotels you can find for staying near Yosemite National Park. If you're headed into the valley, it's a 45-60 minute drive. The room was clean, the sheets and towels were fresh, and there was a good amount of floor space. It's directly across the street from a gas station and there is plenty of food options within walking distance. The staff were all very friendly. While not the greatest hotel, it's a convenient spot to drop your bags and take a shower at the end of a long day in the park.
Cons: Unfortunately, there were some downsides. The refrigerator was unplugged upon arrival. The microwave was plugged in but didn't work. The alarm clock was broken. Using the tv required some very specific instruction as to how to turn it on. There was an $8 charge each day for the WiFi. There was a small new congregation of deceased insects in the sink each day. Again, not a place I'd want to spend a whole day in, but a fine place to sleep before heading out.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location is perfect for the Yosemite visitors.
Cons: My wife and one of our friends were bit by bed bugs.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff.

Pros: Out of the seven hotels, inns and B&B we visited during our trip this one was the best. The room was vast and it was well decorated. You could tell the owners had put some time and attention on it. The beds where comfortable and clean. We ate a delightful home cooked breakfast and Hélène had the added attention of giving us some homemade shortbread for our day trip. It was much appreciated on the trail in Yosemite park.
Cons: Nothing negative to say but take note that Mariposa is still an hour away from the Arch Rock entrance of Yosemite park so be prepared to get up early if that`s your destination. Mariposa itself is an interesting town.

Pros: The room is beautiful and with all the things you need but the best part are the owners! They are super sweet, helpful and their breakfast is amazing!

Pros: Helene and Rob are a great couple running a fab B and B, it’s a great quiet location, just a few minutes walk from all of the local amenities. A good sized bedroom, the comfiest bed ever. the house is a delight. Dietary needs catered for (we’re vegan). The only way it could be improved is to have tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

There is everything you need to feel really comfortable. Our hosts were super nice, Helene made us glorious breakfasts, and the life-saving almond cookie was even better! She and her husband Ron give us nice tips where to go in Yosemite. Everything was great, totally worth the price. Thank you Helene and Ron again! :)

Pros: Highland House is located a short distance from Mariposa in a secluded and elevated spot in the woods. We felt very welcome and at home in the property—lovely to arrive to cake and cookies in the kitchen! The bedroom was very peaceful and the only noise during the night was from the wildlife and wind in the trees. The turkeys running around outside in the morning caught us by surprise, as did the lovely hummingbirds feeding at the sugar station in the dining room window. The breakfasts were great, cooked for us by Nora, who was a very friendly presence. We made the visit to Mariposa several times, and spent a day in Yosemite—we entered the park via the south entrance and the drive over was easy and picturesque. I can imagine that the house would be a lovely place to cosy up in front of the fire and while away an evening. N.B. The last bit of the journey up to Highland House is on gravel track up a hill, so worth being aware of that. We were in a 4WD SUV, though a regular 2WD sedan seemed to get in there fine when we visited. But off the beaten path was exactly what we were looking for.
