Cons: Very nose up atmosphere all over the place.....got sick on the tuna dish at the restaurant downstairs....but most sad is just the overall situation of all the severely mentally ill homeless people on the beach right outside the door...they r everywhere and this sophisticated hotel seems to be doing nothing about it. So many Europeans traveling there for their american dream vacation and this is what they see on Santa Monica beach....very sad and I could not have a good conscience running a business under the current social situation there.

Pros: We moved to this hotel disappointment at a hotel nearby, this hotel was a bliss in terms of customer service , room, cleanness and facilities. Staff was very friendly, lady who checked us in took our feedback into account and gave us a lovely room with partial ocean view, this made a huge change to our stay. We were given a tour by a gentlemen , he was great and very friendly. Highlight was very friendly and professional supervisor , her name was Defne. We loved her positive and lively energy, she was great with people, made us feel special! Thank you very much everyone who made our stay very special.

Cons: For Wifi you need to log in every 24 hours which was annoying because the system they use is badly designed and you cannot see what you are typing in. Also they wanted to charge us $75 for a late check out while the room was available after our departure. We had to make fuss and eventually they gave it to us for free which was nice. But I wish we didn’t have to fight for it after spending a week at this hotel!

Pros: The pool was the only thing that was okay at the property everything else was awful , the room was too small the price was too expensive it looked like it should have been torn down along time ago,the exercise room was small and the area it was in looked like it should of been in a haunted house area it was dark and gloomy, the rooms itself were so cold very uncomfortable not fit for a family at all. The hallways were very old , the windows in the room had to screens on them so very hazardous the bathroom was very slippery we had to lay towels down everywhere if we didn’t someone would have slipped. The bathroom shower and tub area had to direct knobs saying hot or cold another accident waiting to happen and the fridge was broken we couldn’t sleep without it rumbling and sounded like someone was breaking in it was the most horrible stay ever, never returning to this haunted run down place.

Cons: The pool is small and the location of it is poor, near the garage. Our room was sadly on the freeway side of the hotel and there was a lot of noise from the road. Due to this I did not enjoy my stay as much as last time. If possible, request a room on the street side, not the freeway. There is no breakfast included in the room rate.

Pros: Great hotel with helpful staff and perfectly comfortable beds. We also loved the air purification device in the room. Great location and nice outside pool. We wish we could spend more time in this hotel.

Pros: Nice room with everything needed for a decent overnight stay. Within walking distance of most of what we wanted to see including Santa Monica Pier. The staff were nice and friendly, and got on well with everybody including each other which created a nice atmosphere.

Pros: If you don't like to drive around much, this is your hotel. Just valet park your car ($20/night) and walk. Everything is nearby, movies, great choice of restaurants, the Santa Monica Pier and of course the beach.

Cons: I really need good Wifi to stay in touch with the Uk so I have been choosing hotels that specify Wifi access in all areas. Like some of the other places I stayed, this hotel has a small domestic wireless router at reception so Wifi access is limited to the front lobby.

Cons: Wifi leaves little to be desired. Cellular signal is 4G so you have to jockey around for a good enough signal. The hotel itself is dated but comfortable. Small TV's in the room but who cares.

Cons: The place is run down. Old furniture and mattresses. And really felt like the furniture didn't really fit in the rooms. Why is there a footboard on the bed that sticks out 8 inches at chin height? And the NOISE. Downtown Santa Monica is loud. I expected some noise. They put us right above the alley backed up against a bar. So party until 2 am, then delivery trucks at 6 am. So only a 4-hour window for sleep. And the walls and windows are old and have not been updated, so they are thin and do nothing to block out noise. The pillows were also old and lumpy. And the bed was too small for the room.

Cons: Room very noisy ! Had to wear ear plugs to sleep. Given the price, we would have expected a much more modern hotel. Too expensive.

Pros: It was close to everything.
Cons: The place is very tired. Room was very small you could walk freely around the bed. There was only one PowerPoint we could use which was in the bathroom. The carpets are very old, and the room was quite smelly. We couldn't check in until right on 3pm, and then, some of the rooms still weren't ready, and there were many people waiting. The entrance is actually on a different street to what the hotel address is which made it very very hard to find.

Cons: For the price we paid for the room, the parking should have been included. The lobby was beautiful, but it seemed as though it was just a ruse as the rooms and the rest of the hotel was not upkept very well.
