Pros (+) Staff was friendly and helpful. Proximity to the promenade and the beach was great. But hard to enjoy without sleep.
Cons (-) The place is run down. Old furniture and mattresses. And really felt like the furniture didn't really fit in the rooms. Why is there a footboard on the bed that sticks out 8 inches at chin height? And the NOISE. Downtown Santa Monica is loud. I expected some noise. They put us right above the alley backed up against a bar. So party until 2 am, then delivery trucks at 6 am. So only a 4-hour window ...

Pros (+) This hotel was walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We didn't need the car once we parked it.

Pros (+) The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great, not too far from the pier and very close to the Promenade.
Cons (-) For the price we paid for the room, the parking should have been included. The lobby was beautiful, but it seemed as though it was just a ruse as the rooms and the rest of the hotel was not upkept very well.

Pros (+) If you don't like to drive around much, this is your hotel. Just valet park your car ($20/night) and walk. Everything is nearby, movies, great choice of restaurants, the Santa Monica Pier and of course the beach.
Cons (-) Wifi leaves little to be desired. Cellular signal is 4G so you have to jockey around for a good enough signal. The hotel itself is dated but comfortable. Small TV's in the room but who cares.
