Pros: Ideal location, peaceful too! Very clean, bright and homely. Raul could not do enough for us. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming. This place is a home away from home, much more than a B&B!

Pros: All the staff and especially Alessandro were extremely friendly and helpful! Thanks for the room upgrade, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay longer! Our room had a balcony with an awesome view over Rio. The room and the rest of the hotel was very clean and had a nice and comfortable interior. There’s a whirlpool and a small swimming pool that you can use for free. Breakfast was also very good.

Pros: The views from our room were incredible.
Cons: #1- the views from our room were spectacular. The staff is nice, but you need to have decent Spanish skills if you aren't up on your Portuguese. #2- IT'S LOUD! If you aren't a good sleeper, this is going to be a tough place for you #3- As someone with auto immune issues, thus significant dietary restrictions, you are going to be pretty bummed out. I let the hotel know well in advance about my food restrictions. IF the cost of the hotel was less, I'd be more apt to roll with the complete lack of breakfast offerings. However, at over $100 per room, I had some fruit on day one and a piece of papaya on day 2. For my husband, a complete omnivore, the quality of food was so so.

Pros: The staff was very nice to me. They genuinely attempted to help me at all times. They even gave me a free upgrade to a better room. In the street, I could detect the presence of private security and the police.
Cons: The location was not precisely known to the maps used by Uber taxis. The place had no external signs or advertising. Indeed, it looked like a regular house. As a result, Ubers could not find the hotel easily. The place was kind of old, with lots of overdue maintenance. Besides, the shower in the morning was cold.

The staff is really friendly and are very good to make you feel relaxed and at home. All of our wishes have been fulfilled, It felt like owning a magic lamp.
Cons: The only thing is that it was far away from downtown, plus it was difficult to have access to food after breakfast, unless you ordered it online.
