Pros: Los Arboles was absolutely amazing! I stayed there for 8 nights and really enjoyed my time. What I liked the most was the privacy. This is a small boutique hotel which can only accommodate a few people and therefore you will never get this ''touristy'' vibe. There is a convenient size swimming pool and a jacuzzi next to the rooms and both of them can only be used by the hotel residents. Although they were not big and fancy, again the small number of people and the quiet environment was compensating for everything else. Alma at the reception was very helpful and made the accommodation fantastic! The hotel is located a 20 min walk from downtown and at first it looked a bit far away, but as you are getting used of Palm Springs and people there you realise that this is actually a safe area. The room itself was amazing, spacious, beautifully decorated with lovely details. The food at the restaurant (El Mirasol) is one of the best mexican food I've ever tried.

Cons: Although the food at the restaurant was really good and not massively pricey, the variety was not great. This is not inherently a problem as there are a bunch of options nearby. It becomes a problem though when there is no other food or drink allowed at the pool area except from the restaurant's. When there are no coffee options except for the standard one, and no juice available at all (except for late in the weekends) and when the breakfast options are limited to the mexican ones, you can't expect from the visitor to sit around the pool in the mornings and enjoy it! This is the only complain from my accommodation, and I would still stay at Los Arboles next time I'm travelling to Palm Springs!

Pros: Lovely butiqe like vibe of the small hotel. Spacious living room with separate bedroom and fully equipped kitchen. Walking distance to great breakfast place Cheeky’s and coffee shop Ernest (possibly best coffee in Palm Springs). Having good Mexican restaurant El Mirasol literally around the corner that has large, kids friendly outdoor area was a bonus. It’s also 10 minutes away from Ruth Hardy’s Park. Two pools and jacuzzi is not bad for a small hotel.

Cons: Kitchen without window was dark. Pool is not heated so if you have small kids like myself it can be a bit challenging to use it. Pool area need some renovation: the floor around the pool is chipping, stains on pool chairs’ covers and some were torn. Valet parking is more of an expensive pain than a help especially if you stay with kids and have to always go to the front entrance to pick up your car. Fitness center is tiny, one machine, single bench.

Pros: Loved the staff and how welcoming they were. They have two pools, one salt water and one regular. The hotel is clean and looks like you staying in villas.
Cons: The spa services mean they get someone to come to your room which I felt was misleading from what I read online so we didn't use it. There is a $25 a day resort charge which is really your valet parking. Just call it that. I did not see resort activities to justify the charge.

Pros: Beautiful property with wonderful amenities; Spacious rooms that are really studio condos with full kitchens and private sitting verandas; Extremely professional, polite, and helpful staff; 24-hr. pool and hot tub are almost unheard of at a hotel; Outstanding value for the price.
Cons: Website indicated there was a $25/night fee to park a vehicle--this is not correct, it is a mandatory $25/night "resort fee" whether you park there or not (although the fee does include parking); Room needed to be re-vacuumed upon arrival; Fit-and-finish workmanship of the 2014 renovation to the rooms is somewhat below average--various gaps in finished surfaces, cabinets that don't close correctly, loose faucet in bathroom, etc.

Pros: Excellent location for Historic Palm Springs. Very good Staff. Remodeled bathroom and comfortable bedroom and sitting room. Very nice reception. Pool area well attended.
Cons: The parking is really quite poor. It is first come first serve, even if you request and get reserved parking, and is almost always full during the day and always full when you come back from an evening event. A BIG problem and seemingly unfixable. The morning continental breakfast needs help. It is outdoors, and uncomfortable during the cold winter mornings. The selection of food is very poor and could easily be upgraded. Lastly, the heating cooling is window type and while it does work well, it is extremely noisy. This too is fixable with the newer type ceiling units. Except for the Parking, this could be a very good budget stay with a few fixes.
