Pros: Super private, small and beautiful property! If you’re looking for a place to wind down and have peace - this place is it. Definitely NOT the party scene that is everywhere in Palm Springs these days. Bed was super comfortable, villa was adorable and had everything you need for an extended stay. The villas are a 5 minute walk to the strip and the area is perfect for morning walks/runs. Oh, and they had a welcome goodie gift bag which was well received after a long, hot drive. I will definitely definitely definitely be back again and again! Absolutely loved this place.

Cons: We found the mattresses to be uncomfortable. Also, in the Aegean Bungalow, we wish there had been pull down shades on the windows/doors instead of the tied up curtains that had to be untied every night and then maneuvered to cover the windows/doors for privacy.

Pros: This place is truly a hidden gem. It's right smack in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, so you can walk everywhere. They provide really nice bicycles also if you rather use them to explore. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The pool area is a favorite of mine. You are able to order food and drinks from the pool as well. Complimentary happy hour from 4 to 5 everyday with beautiful cheese board. Complimentary continental breakfast. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and all the other guests while I stayed were very nice as well. This place really did have great vibes and an incredible atmosphere. My Wife and I had such a great relaxing time here. We will be staying here again.

Pros: Location is perfect and the mid-century vibe is perfect for a Palm Springs visit.
Cons: It's cool that a lot of the iconic elements of the hotel are intact but it might be time to improve some of the updates (that have occurred) to the bathroom, kitchenette, etc. The room I stayed in was also a little loud (over the lobby) and extremely sunny (the moment the sun rises), with no ability to black out the room, so I wouldn't characterize my visit as being "restful."

Pros: The location is great. Very charming facilities
Cons: I paid for a studio with full kitchen and what I got was an adjoining room where I could hear everything the occupants of the other room were saying and their dogs kept barking at my dog. Also,my room did not have a microwave or a refrigerator only a wine cooler. When I explained that the accommodations didn’ t match what I paid for the staff informed me that they were doing the floors in some of the rooms and they were fully booked. A cursory review of the property at 9 pm indicated that was not the case.

Pros: Location, the rooms, the staff, the pool everything was so beautiful. We travelled all the west coast and can honestlt say we fell in love here! If ur in doubt about staying...do it!
Cons: Nothing, could have put free water in our room instead of 8dollar charge but free water was round the pool

Pros: My boyfriend and I loved how relaxing and secluded the hotel was. It was quiet and the guests all respected that as well. The staff was so friendly and made the stay very enjoyable. We were able to have early check in as well.
Cons: Only complaint was there could have been better AC in the room.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Everything but the bed. Especially loved the 24hr pool, the fact that you can have your own drinks at there and valet cost was included. Mario at the front was a total sweetheart too.
Cons: The bungalow and staff was amazing. The only issue is the bed was very uncomfortable. It sunk down in the middle and all I could feel was the spring. I've stayed at cheaper gots witg better beds. Other than that, everything was great.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: great rooms, a lot of space, nice balcony... friendly staff very convenient location, walking distance to downtown
Cons: - more compact, things closer together, than it seemed online - pet fee is really steep (in comparison with many other places) pool is really tiny and not many people seem to use it b/c all the seating (inc dining) is around it, so it's kind of awkward
6,8 Good
Pros: The hotel is very nice and all the staff is very kind
Cons: They have a “resort fee” that nobody tell you until you are about to leave the hotel, is 40usd/day is not much but then the real price is not the one that they show, for me is a little bit of a scam
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful! Probably the best service I've had in a long time and I travel all over the world! I especially appreciate the kindness of:staff who made me feel special during my Birthday stay. Avalon is an oasis!
Cons: Well, I forgot to ask if there was a wedding happening. I didn't appreciate being awoken on my last day at 8AM by live guitar music for a yoga class for the wedding party in the bungalow area. Suggest letting guests know or offering them the class.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and staff are perfect. The environment is ideal, love the pools
Cons: Our room is close to the stairs, and the are so many people wailing and talking in their morning, so noise. And we wake up multiple times.
7,7 Good
Pros: I always enjoy the pools and the spa services. This hotel is centrally located so that one can walk to restaurants and shopping.
Cons: The music at the pool wasn't as good as it has been in the past. I don't care for the new hotel room products (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.); the George Neil products were better. The hotel no longer offers rafts to float on in the pool, people were bringing there own. This was a sad discovery. In addition, it looked as though the hotel had changed their menu again, although they were able to accommodate some of the our old favorites. The hotel rooms could use some freshening up as well.
7,1 Good
Pros: Mgmt responded to horrible brawl next door
Cons: Room was strangely laid out — not enough space for side table Queen room instead of king which I booked
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent & landscaping was beautiful. The Valet Staff was exceptional & the pool servers were also very good! Loved that you are so pet friendly.
Cons: No ice machine & more than 1 trash can in our room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, loved the bungalow’s idea for a family
Cons: There wasn’t any information about local slights or things to do had to ask. The bungalow was great however the kitchen had 4 sets of cutlery 4 glasses, 3 plates, 4 bowls and NOTHING else Our shower flooded we asked for it to be looked at but nothing was done or said about it. 3 pools.. 2 adults 1 kids, we had read that adult was over 14 when we arrived we were told that the age was 18 our teenage kids weren’t happy as out bungalow was right next to an adult pool with a table tennis table.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel is phenomenal! The hotel is beautiful and really allows you to feel like you are in Palm Springs. I loved being greeted with a cold glass of champagne upon arrival and check-in and it was wonderful that the amenities were included in the hotel fee (wifi, valet, etc.)
Cons: We did have an ant issue in our room while we were here. When I called the front desk, they seemed as alarmed and upset as I did and I appreciated that. They sent staff right away to spray and took care of the hotel fee because due to the inconvenience.

Pros:
Cons: The hotel was recently renovated according to some travelers who had been there in the past, but you could definitely tell some corners were cut in that process. I was totally fine as a solo traveler, but it might not be my choice if returning to Palm Springs with someone who has a picker eye.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, accessible parking, small comfortable property within a block of downtown Palm Springs. Large rooms. ADA room large and maneuverable.
Cons: Bed a bit low and too firm for my liking. Rooms a bit dated and sink fixture was loose, toilet slow to flush.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, couldn't be better, one street from all the action. Only thing that would be nice, is if they offered some kind of light breakfast.
Cons: Excellent staff. When we first arrived in our room, we discovered an issue that was resolved immediately. We were offered a resort credit without even having to request it.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The best Mountain View’s
Cons: Second day at the pool the pool looked like it could use some chlorine and cleaning.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location was perfect, and the views were amazing.
Cons: The staff weren’t friendly at all. The pool didn’t have enough towels and we had to ask multiple times for some towels. The TV wasn’t working for half the time we were there. For the price I paid, I did expect a lot more.

Pros: The location was good. Was near points of interests, dining and shopping
Cons: We arrived and checked in. First thing I noticed about my room was a very strong odor of what was either a wet dog that had been staying in the room or mold. I told the staff. They stated I could either let them spray deoderant or get a refund and leave.

Pros: Location was fantastic. Views from the balcony were great and nice and private.
Cons: Some areas of the hotel were a little dated and need to be upgraded. As much has been done in some areas, these bad areas really stuck out.

Pros: We had a problem with our reservation that was not the fault of Hyatt and they went above and beyond what was required to resolve the situation and get us into our room as soon as possible.

Pros: Spacious rooms with great view of surroundings. Staff very friendly and helpful. Also, good location within walking distance of restaurants, casinos and various shops.
Cons: Stayed for 3 nights and noticed the air conditioning was working well. Had hotel engineer check it out before our last night. He changed the filter and said that it should be ok. It improved somewhat but was still not working properly. Check out room 403 for malfunction.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The 2bedroom suite we had was great, big with sofa tv room separated fromt the 2 beds; great view of the mountains and pool. Great location too!
Cons: Understandably the pool isn't as big as other 4star resorts compared to Indian Wells area, but that's because this Hyatt resort is in the middle of downtown, busiest area and street, so there isn't as much space.
