We were very happy with our rental, not one person in line while others had 40 or more, we’re offered an upgrade right away to a SUV which really helped us out, will definitely use National in the future.Reviewed Sep 27 2023

Concerned they would charge more!Pros:In trying to make up for not having our premium SUV which I reserved, National charged us for the small SUV.Cons:We had such a terrible experience when we picked up a vehicle and then had to drive 2 hours to get what we had originally reserved that I was afraid they would charge us more when we turned in the vehicle but to my surprise, they did not charge us more. Pros:Easy pick up and drop off.Cons:We did not get the car we asked for. We were told we were going to get a super-cab (four full doors), but we got a crew cab. Very small for our bags/my daughter. I specifically asked for the larger car when I made the reservation. When I told the desk at National that it was too small, they told me I could get a Toyota Sequoia for %150 ADDITIONAL a day. Great vehicle for a long road tripPros:Excellent service at the rental counter in the Bozeman MT airport. Clean and super comfortable vehicle (we are Subaru and MiniCooper drivers and had never driven a Kia) was perfect for a 2ooo mile road trip. No problems at all!Reviewed Aug 15 2017

Rediculously long waitPros:Had to stand in line for over an hour and a half to pick up rental car. Other car rental counters had little to no wait at all. If I could have cancelled my reservation I would have on the spot.Cons:Read above.Reviewed Jul 20 2017

too expesive poor customer service at the counterPros:4x4Cons:the 4x4 did not always work or come out of 4x4 in the snow. we had to stop and back-up for it to disengage. the defroster and back windows were not working and stayed iced up on the inside we were promised a the largest 4x4 ford expedition 8 - 9 passangers and luggage but received a Toyota SequoiaReviewed Jan 23 2017

Reserve a full size, get a van!Pros:The second customer service person I worked with was very helpful and friendly.Cons:The first customer service person I had to deal with was very arrogant and un-helpful. I had reserved a full size car a month before I arrived and he gave me a mini-van (on the large-ish side).
